- Katrien (9/5): Zeer aangenaam. Ontbijt is voortreffelijk. - Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Buitengewoon lekker ontbijt.

- Sophie (1/5): Disappointed but grateful for the excellent staff - The staff. The room wasn’t the one as described and we had lots of problems. The only thing that made this stay were the fabulous staff. A lovely young man and a lady were very helpful with the situation and proactive. However, there was the manager who wasn’t overly happy to help and told us that he hopes we appreciate the trouble they’d gone too. I’m a very easy going person however, the property listed did not match the property we were given at all. When we first walked in the property we were shown up to our room with the maintenance man as he needed to fix something, even though we were delayed to the properly due to a delayed flight. When we got in we were met by a sauna, which whilst very nice, wasn’t what we had picked when choosing the room we wanted. There was no shower, as promised in the description. The room looked completely different to what we had booked on here and we felt like we had been given the wrong room. It was for my birthday and I know my partner had tried to be in contact with the hotel to make it extra special; this did not happen. The mini bar was empty, the room was not as described and lacked amenities promised and had ones not included on the description. As well as this, it was filthy. The bath clearly hadn’t been cleaned, there was used tissue on the floor, cracks everywhere, rust and damp. It was very uninviting and honestly was not what we expected when we booked. When we spoke to the manager he said every room is the same, but yet the room we booked mentioned nothing about a sauna, which we found odd and did not include a shower, which was the second amenity listed. We were never given any information, such as WiFi, the free breakfast in the description (which we were never told about or offered when there), or any kind of welcome pack. We felt like our booking had been forgotten, as the room wasn’t the one we chose nor was ready for check-in, despite arriving late. Very disappointed, especially as it was for a special occasion.

- Robert (8/5): - Breakfast Actually booked a room with balcony, then they told me they „upgraded“ me (what I did not want) to a room with no balcony, no mini bar or water, and basement/wet smell with backyard view and waste noise. I complained and they offenes a spa (which should have been included in the upgrade anyway) but sauna was not working.
- Giuseppe (7/5): Accogliente - Posizione Canere

- Timothy (9/5): - Very stylish, immensely comfortable minimalist apartments: brilliant beds, excellent bathroom and completely OTT breakfast buffet. No mineral water supplied to the rooms - had to ask for it twice and collect bottles from the reception (for which they were duly apologetic).
- Gabriele (9/5): -
- Svært god beliggenhet i autentisk miljø. Rent og fint og nydelig frokost.
- Richard (9/5): Perfect - Top location, wonderful staff, great breakfast, very comfortable room. Loved it. Nothing

- Evarts (9/5): - The staff was very helpful and friendly. They easily scheduled a 3AM taxi ride to the airport for our flight. They also kindly offered and prepared a to go breakfast for us.
The morning buffet breakfast in the courtyard at the boutique was a wonderful spread of anything you would like. Just a heads up - Need to make sure to google the boutique not B&B. The boutique reception is where you will check in and the walk the block to the B&B.

- Sara (6/5): Ok property with bad cleaning. - Beautiful room with beautiful view. Comfortable bed. Smart tv. Staff is super kind and helpful (from reception to breakfast service). Breakfast is delicious. Location seems sketchy at first but I ended up feeling safe as if feels super local and not too touristy. Close to everything Palermo. Spa at the hotel is also great. But please read the cons as they’re quite bad. The room wasn’t clean - there was a lot of hair and dust on the floors, which weren’t vacuumed; the rims of the cups on the room were super dusty because the tray where they lay was dusty; there’s a communal kitchen with tableware and I couldn’t find any that was clean, there was literal dry food on them; there are smell infusions on the property that have probably been there untouched for years looking super bad; the spa was great but had loads of ants; they provided us toothbrushes but one of them had something that resembled bird poop on them. It was surreal how almost discretly unclean the place was, we complained and nothing was done differently. There’s A LOT of stairs which isn’t great if you have a lot of luggage or have some kind of disability. The property ran out of water twice for which we had to call the staff, wait for them to fix it, and wait for the water to come back on, and even longer for hot water, which took a looooooong time. Sound insulation is terrible so not great if you’re a light sleeper.
- Sonia (8/5): Very good -
- Roseoberlin (2/5): We WON’T Be Back - The B&B was conveniently located near pedestrian areas. Parking was two blocks away, which is to be expected in an old, old city. Breakfast was exceptional, and the breakfast staff really helpful. Very good air conditioning. Reasonably priced, even after factoring in the €20 per day parking. Where to start?
- pronounced sewer smell in the common area
- sheets don’t fit the bed, and no mattress cover or pad
- can’t be certain, but it looked like there were traces of BEDBUGS on the mattress
- all furniture is concrete, so it took a very long time for the air conditioning to catch up with the heat. This also means that you have to be careful getting into bed, lest you crack your skull on the headboard
EDIT: On checkout, we told the hosts about these problems. They offered a 20% discount, which we accepted. They then charged out card for the discounted amount. However, instead of voiding the previous payment, they cancelled the reservation. This caused their (or maybe Booking's) system to charge us a no-show fee. We have spent the last two months trying to get the duplicate charge removed. Neither the hotel nor Booking has helped us at all, and so we have had to dispute the charges. In short, don't trust either the hotel or Booking.
- Clare (8/5): Comfort and relaxed stay in an interesting and friendly neighbourhood - Great location, clean and renovated comfortably. We stayed in the b&b rooms rather than the main building which was superb. Breakfast was very fresh and tasty enjoyed in a lovely courtyard. Some minor aspects in the room didn’t work such as hooks that were loose so couldn’t be used and a fridge that wasn’t cold. Otherwise very good. These wouldn’t stop me recommending to others.
- Daniele (8/5): Nice - The room is beautiful and the breakfast oh my the spot is just beautiful restaurant and great food! The bed was comfy and it was lovely The room was great however the drains smell like sewage and it became unbearable at one stage. Had to turn all the water on and open the window and it smelled the room up.
The B&B Door didn’t work and the last people in the room had not given the key back so we had to wait
The shower would go hot and cold and then not go hot at all
- Frances (9/5): Superb -
- Christina (7/5): Palermo Old Town - The breakfast was good, but it's in a different hotel. They have lots of egg options, good coffee, cakes etc. The B&B isn't in the hotel, this isn't fully explained on their mobile site. I thought I was booking the hotel, but it turned out I had booked their B&B, which is in a residential building with other tenants. The B&B has no lift and is up three floors of stairs. I was really disappointed with the whole setup.. The room in the hotel photos has a large chair, but this wasn't there when we arrived. The bathroom was a disaster, the shower flooded the bathroom as it hadn't anything to stop the water, and the fan made a dreadful noise. We could also hear everything that was going on in the room above us. We ended up leaving after 4 nights, I asked if they would give us some sort of refund, but they refused, which I thought was bad on their behalf.
- Tomas (10/5): Could not have chosen a better place to stay - The staff were extremely friendly and helpful during my stay, they all spoke perfect English and were attentive to any questions or needs. The room was stunning and pristine in a perfect location, I never had to walk more than 15 minutes to get to any popular part of Polermo. The b&b is located right beside a large, bustling, lively market. The breakfast was exceptional, full of a large selection of fresh pastries, cakes and fruits with an additional option from the menu, all included in the price. Absolutely nothing, all expectations were exceeded especially for the price and location. If you are staying in Palermo, Casa Nostra must be at the top of the list.
- Lisandra (10/5): Lovely - This was such a treat ! The rooms are new and I felt like I was at a Greek retreat for some reason. I loved the bath tube in front of tv and I slept like an Angel on the bad. The breakfast was exquisite and Vincenzo was very kind and helpful! Nothing
- Candace (9/5): Superb - Breakfast was lovely, location was very central, excellent customer service and rooms were recently renovated so that was a pleasant surprise
- Yassir (10/5): Very clean, professional and very nice breakfast. The hotel also has a nice style. - Beautiful accomodation. Loud neighbours.
- Tommaso (9/5): Great location! - Beautiful room located in the heart of Palermo. Three flights of stairs was difficult to carry luggage up.
- Ilva (10/5): When I will go to Palermo again, I will definitely stay here again. Overall good location, very close to the market ever - It was very modern and beautiful. The bed and pillows were good quality. There was a wonderful balcony with a view of market. The bathtub had a bubble and light function, when I booked it I didn't know, so it was please surprise.
There was also toothpaste, toothbrush and everything needed for stay! I couldn't discover where electricity plug for the coffee machine is.
- Conscian (7/5): Good -
- Juliana (1/5): Poor - Decoration Unclean, bad smell, no water for drink in the room, not cool in the bath, not soup
- Collette (6/5): It was a central place to stay. There is a good restaurant L’ Acerba nearby which would recommend. red - The bedroom was fine & bed comfortable There were 60 stairs to our room which we didn’t know about. No lift - very difficult with luggage. Some of the staff not helpful others ok.It was noisy at night.
- Daniel (9/5): Superb - Breakfast was great, room was new and clean Would have liked a proper shower.
- Alissa (3/5): Borderline a scam - The main hotel looked pretty, too bad I didn’t get to stay there My stay was not as it was advertised online and I was quite unhappy.
When I stayed I was asked about transportation from the airport which I agreed on and it was not arranged. No one had told me that there wouldn’t be anyone to pick me up anymore and I had to wait over an hour for this communication to be made.
I also was asked about what time I would be arriving and told that early check in is possible but apon arriving it wasn’t.
I was most disappointed to find out that my room was not even apart of the main hotel and this was mentioned nowhere on the website. I specifically picked this hotel because it was handicap accessible and had an elevator. To then see that my hotel room was not part of the hotel and was all the way down two busy streets and up 72 stairs was very upsetting especially since there was no one to help with my bags. Additionally the doors aren’t clearly labeled and it was difficult to find which one was the actual hotel. When I asked about the room the desk didn’t seem to want to help and couldn’t offer me more than the explanation that “a few rooms are over there.” This should have been on the website. I was unable to use any of the ammenities as they were so far away from my room. It felt extremely unsafe to walk all the way to my room down the street at night as men would stop and try to talk to me on my way there. The main house that the room was in smelled very strongly of mildew and was extremely noisy as well and the shower didn’t work, only the bath did.
The towel rack was poorly screwed in and fell out as I used the towel. There were no seats, only a bed with no decorations on the walls at all. It didn’t look anything like the photos. Upon checkout no one asked how my stay was and I’m sure it’s because it is known that it wouldn’t be great.
When I messaged them after asking for compensation they left me on read.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Loved it! I can’t wait to go back. I wish I could stay longer. The neighborhood and cleanliness of the room. It was a pleasure.
- Paul (10/5): Mondello mole was lovely’s - Breakfast was generous and of a high quality.
The B & B overlooking the market etc provided great entertainment.
The staff were exemplary even with a little check in delay.
The stairs were hard at first with luggage but fine after that.
Thankyou
- Mark (7/5): Had to change rooms, no water - Breakfast was great, location was perfect. Staff were very helpful. Water stopped working, no shower, no loo. We were given another room in the main hotel, so all was resolved well.
- Grace (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jekaterina (10/5): The hotel provided a stay that was beyond our expectations, and we are truly grateful for the amazing hospitality we rec - We were absolutely blown away by our experience at this hotel. As soon as we stepped into our room with captivating views of the old town and mountains from the balcony, we knew we were in for an unforgettable stay. The king-size bed and luxurious ceramic bathtub in the room were an unexpected surprise, and the hotel staff was attentive and professional, ensuring every need was met. The bathroom was spacious and equipped with all the necessities for us to feel cozy and relaxed. Not only that, but the breakfast menu in the cozy courtyard of the main hotel area was simply divine. We couldn't have asked for a better stay and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an exceptional experience.
- Alda (10/5): We enjoyed our stay. The rooms are nice, modern and new, staff is friendly and the food is excellent - The rooms are great. We think they have renovated, and the pictures are not all up to date. In reality it is much better than the pictures! Very modern new look, very clean and stylish! The restaurant is very well recommended also for dinner and breakfast is very good. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Absolutely loved it! No complaints at all.
- Grzegorz (7/5): Nice and cosy, close to the heart of Palermo, needs few improvements for better grade. - Renovated room, nice equipment.
Cosy and spacefull, delicious breakfasts.
Nice balcony view. Room photos are not up to date. They re from before renovating.
Some stuff didn’t work (example: bathtube) and also room renovation wasn’t finished.
- Angie (10/5): It was a very comfortable stay , fell in love instantly and wasn’t close to anything I was expecting it to look like. it - the room was very spacious , very clean , very authentic to the Sicilian decor with hints of modern comfortable bed and beautiful view , everything worked well in a very friendly neighbourhood the only thing that was a bit tricky was finding the property, but Sicilians are very helpful if you just ask
- Skripnik (10/5): Wish could stay longer - Excellent and breakfast was amazing belisimo N/a
- Anonymous (7/5): Great and charming for more than a night stay - The apartment was beautifully renovated. 1. The b&b is not accessible by car.
2. The rooms are on the 3rd floor walk up, there is no elevator.
3. The checkin and breakfast are in another building 5 min walk away.
Not convenient for a 1 night stay, but if staying longer would consider it again (and with less luggage).
- Amine (10/5): Excellent staff, great location and facilities - Staff is terrific and super helpful for whatever need or enquiry you might have Google maps wasn't reliable for location. I had to be shown directions by the very helpful Andrea.
- P (8/5): Overall great if you want to see downtown palermo - We stayed at the BB. Clean, comfy bed. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent.
Staff was friendly and accommodating It was a little noisy there is a restaurant downstairs.
- Debbie (10/5): Exceptional - Exceptional customer service. Contact from the hotel made everything easy for us.The room was spotless and modern.
The breakfast was extensive and delicious.
Care and attention to detail was evident.
- Rafaela (1/5): Absolute Horror Experience in every way possible - The room itself was nice but unfortunately all the significant problems ruined our stay - Security was a huge problem as keys fit multiple guest rooms in the "B&B" which was basically an apartment with 4 rooms in a separate building shared with 10 other [non Case Nostra] apartments
- Severe compressor noise in the entire building
- Shower not working
- Room was used by someone else after it had been cleaned or was never cleaned
SECURITY
We arrived at 21.30 at the hotel reception and were given a set of keys and instructions on how to find the room which was about 200 metres from the hotel (we knew that and it was fine with us) on the 4th floor of an apartment building with no lift (3 floors plus mezzanine - did not know that there was not even a lift).
Our room was one of 4 rooms in a converted apartment, so this "hotel" is essentially sharing an apartment with strangers. You can apparently also rent the rooms on Airbnb as shared accommodation as some other guests advised.
As it turns out keys fit multiple rooms so it is definitely not safe nor are your belongings safe.
Upon entering the room, with the keys provided, we realized that someone already stayed in our room as this was evident from the personal belongings of the other guest, thankfully the guest was not there.
We then tried the key provided on the other rooms as we thought we got the wrong room and opened another room with the key, again occupied by other guests whose personal belongings were in the room.
We are honest people and did not go through their stuff or stole anything but clearly other guests were, as our minibar was raided.
After walking the 200 metres back to reception the night manager was confused about the keys, blaming the other guest of getting his instructions wrong and wrongly taking our room [the other guest did have a key to our room !!!!].
We got a new set of keys to another of the 4 rooms and realized later that we were given a room where it was evident that someone had been there after it was cleaned [or it was never cleaned].
- Maria (1/5): Bad - I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Hotel Cosa Nostra B&B, and I must say it was an absolute nightmare. My stay was marred by incessant noise from workers renovating the apartment next door, making it a truly unbearable experience.
First and foremost, the management at Hotel Cosa Nostra B&B failed to inform me about the ongoing renovations. Had I known that my peaceful retreat would be transformed into a construction site, I would have never booked a room in the first place. It is absolutely unacceptable that they did not disclose this critical information when I made my reservation.
- Stephen (9/5): Superb - Situated in a lovely old part of Palermo we took a second floor apartment which was separate from the Casa Nostra Hotel, by a few hundred metres. Below us was a small plaza with a market, and an incredible restaurant, a real 'find' with world class cooking, We loved it, we loved Palermo and we extended our stay for a second night and a second dinner at L'Acerba. We highly recommend this place. The hotel stayed open for breakfast down the street until much later in the morning than most, and was smart, clean and attractive. I would imagine that staying in the hotel would be equally agreeable. Given the impossibly narrow streets and severe lack of parking availability it is also to their credit that they found us a space for the car which was not a private one, but which allowed us to leave the car for the duration in view of their reception, safe. Can't think of anything I didn't like at all.
- Mateusz (9/5): Superb -
- Nancy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Frank (2/5): Not what I expected at all. - I liked the location, the charm and the kindness of the staff. The room pictured was nowhere near what we got. We shared a 2 bedroom apartment with another couple which was unexpected. The shower head was rusted, there was a dirty cotton swab on the counter, the soap dispensers were rusted and empty. I loved the staff but I will not stay here again. Unless you are guaranteed that you are in the hotel and not the b and b, don't bother. That was not what I expected but I made do with it since we were just sleeping there.
- Sereena (9/5): Great spot for an authentic Sicilian experience. - The front of house staff were amazing - super accommodating. The breakfast was delicious; stunning views; the location was excellent and the bed was seriously comfy (not too soft). The B&B is in a different location to the hotel (2-3 mins walk up the road) and it’s pretty lively as it’s above Capo market and a restaurant. I wouldn’t recommend the B&B for light sleepers, the hotel however seemed much quieter. Our suite was on the top floor, so great views, although the stairs are steep and not great for those with disabilities.
- Iva (9/5): Beautiful and comfortable - It was a beautiful room in the city centre, walking distance from pretty much all important things to do and see. The facilities were clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Our room was on the second floor with no elevator, and there was a shared kitchen and living room. The bathroom is private inside the room which also has a cute little terrace. Breakfast was served in the boutique hotel a couple of streets by and it was very good. The staff was very nice and especially helpful with finding us a garage for our car. We loved our stay and if we ever come back we'll definitely stay there again. The refrigerator in the shared kitchen didn't work. Otherwise everything was exquisite.
- Julia (8/5): Very good -
- Simon (8/5): excellent stay in a great city - location and comfortable. shower was small and the head was cracked
- Douglas (4/5): just ok good breakfast - mediocre room - the breakfast served at the hotel property was delicious the unit itself was just ok, bathroom had mold . not a lot of pride of ownership
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - Exceeded our high expectations!
