Again paid for champagne which didn’t turn up unless I requested it by then it had ruined the surprise. Eventually turned up with prosecco and no glasses. Eventually turned up with a bucket and flutes. When I complained they offered me 50% off another stay but then inflated the price so much booking.com was still cheaper.

Excellent breakfast with a good choice, served to order. Helpful staff A bit of maintenance needed here and there. For example, in my bedroom one of the curtains was stuck in the "drawn" position. Not a big deal, but not great for premium accommodation.

• Paula (10/5): Great place to stay in the city and loved the gym and pool excess😀 - Great location and well presented studio with access to the gym and pool however the spa pool was under repair but l was able to use the City Suites II facilities which a short walk next door. The staff were amazing, professional and so helpful and any issues were dealt with swiftly and with a smile. Will rebook here next time l am in the city Unfortunately the breakfast in the Embankment Kitchen was not great service is very slow and l was given a coffee with a cup handle missing and my full English was not great 😌

Great location everything we needed in walking distance The breakfast situation was an absolute shit show and seriously needs to be addressed. They tell you to reserve your table in advance but even this doesn’t alleviate the wait times. Both days we queued for 20 minutes even with a reservation, we were not acknowledged in terms of having our order taken for 30minutes and even after that food took nearly an hour. Don’t get me wrong the breakfast food was good but the situation took away from the experience. What I found bizarre was that the staff kept welcoming people in off the street, instead of acknowledging and prioritising the people already sat down adding to the chaos. I heard people over 10 complaints while there, so we were not the only ones who felt this was poorly run. This needs to be addressed from management as it took away from what could have been a perfect stay.

• Glenda (7/5): Overall it was ok as we were there for a concert. - The room was clean. We had an issue with the fan in the room and were offered an upgrade to a premium room. We were able to leave our bags after check-out to allow us more time exploring the city. It was really close to the AO arena and Victoria station and the City centre shopping. Lots of guests were not allowed to check in early which was fine but then there was only one member of staff at the check-in desk at 4pm and it took a long time. The premium room we stayed, the metal drain plug in the bath was completed stuck closed. I was not aware this faulty before entering for shower and had to scramble to get dressed and went downstairs to the reception. I was then told by the staff at the reception to use kitchen knife to flick it open. It was such an unpleasant experience for a Premium room to have such a faulty facility. For the breakfast, we were advised to book a table in advance but when we got there in the morning at the time we booked, there was no table reserved for us and we still had to queue with other guests. The hot breakfast I had, egg benedict on sour bread, well, it wasn't hot which suggested it was pre-cooked.

Pour ce qui est de la chambre, tout etait parfait, du comfort à la cuisine et la salle de bain... Un vrai Apparthotel de haut standing ! Petit bémol sur le petit déjeuner, ayant un train à 9H je suis venu à 8H au petit dejeuner pour éviter la queue et l'attente, mais 40 minutes après ma commande je n'avais toujours pas été servi alors que la serveuse m'avait indiqué 15 minutes d'attente, au final j'ai du partir sans déjeuner. A prendre en compte en cas de RDV ou autre

Bin had not been emptied when we arrived. Despite booking breakfast it was really busy both morning. Letting too many non hotel guests book in so no clean tables ready. Slow service as few staff. Although they did work hard. Waited ages to order and drinks came after food second on day and we had to ask twice for them after before they finally came. Not a relaxing morning experience.

• Majid (2/5): Miles below any acceptable standard - The staff were friendly The apartment wasn’t the cleanest, the sink and bathtub were clogged. Informed them 4 times to get it fixed or drained but no one ever came across the 2 days I was there. The Bathtub was a swimming pool by the time I checked out. They informed me that I didn’t need to reserve for breakfast only to find out that I did, after standing in a line for 20 mins, because it was bank holiday. When I went back to inform the hotel reception they seemed puzzled and insisted I didn’t need a reservation, however the restaurant rejected that thought. On checkout day at breakfast, I placed an order, 30 mins later I found out they forgot about the order and by then I had to leave to catch my train. Apart from the friendly receptionist, everything about this place was an unfortunate mess.

• Murilo (1/5): I paid on Booking, needed to delay my arrival, the hotel canceled the reservation and took the money - I booked 4 nights for 2 people with breakfast on 9 Apr late evening, but I couldn't arrive that evening (I arrived early in the morning). I paid in full on Booking.com. They cancelled my reservation at 5 AM on 10 April without asking me anything, saying they thought it was pay-on-arrival, the room was being blocked, and I didn't show up on time (I saw there were multiple rooms of the same type available - clearly a horrible excuse on their part). I called to complain, and they confirmed it was paid in full, but they COULD NOT redo my booking. I lost all the money and didn't get a place to stay. I called Booking. They asked the hotel to consider re-enabling the reservation since they already had the full payment. The hotel simply ignored the request. Acting in bad faith. Horrible service. Will never book again, and I recommend you not to either. Or at least keep in mind that they'll use any chance to get your money without giving you the service.

• Chloe (8/5): Ideal night stay in a central location. - The room had everything we needed (albeit would have appreciated an extra pillow in the room as they were very thin) by the time we realised it was too late and we just went without! Staff were super helpful, room was clean and breakfast in the morning was an added bonus. The location was perfect and central to what we needed. Thanks to Molly who helped us get checked in earlier and was super lovely!! For those who aren't familiar with the area the parking has a garage style door and opens when you drive up to it. We saw this and assumed it was shut... instructions on this would be extra helpful for those planning on having the car park on the booking.

• Mark (5/5): Very long wait to check in due to insufficient staff. - The accommodation is great. Check-in was terrible. We arrived just after 4:00pm as did several others as this is the check-in time you offer. There was only one member of staff on the desk which was completely inadequate and meant everyone had a long wait. I was also provided with room keys that didn’t work even after an attempt to fix them and I therefore had to return to reception twice to get them activated. Breakfast is a very poor experience. The wait for food is too long and when it arrived it was poor quality.

I was promised that my son would be congratulated on his arrival...this did not happen..very disappointing...there was no staff at reception on arrival...and we waited 25 minutes to be attended to...we were initially given a room on the 12th floor..but we corrected the guy on reception and informed him that because my son is disabled. We were given a room on the 2nd floor.. it seems none of this information was passed on...and it was promised by the hotel. .the staff were very friendly apart from this...but my son was very upset...as I promised him a warm welcome..

• Lucy (8/5): Breakfast very very slow even with pre booking a table - The room was very spacious and clean The breakfast was very slow... table was booked for 10am. Got seated by 10.30 breakfast served drinks 10.50 then breakfast 11am. Our train was 11.27 so we quickly ate breakfast leaving our coffees and continental choices behind which was a shame as the full English breakfast was lovely. The staff never came to make sure everything was ok either knowing we was waiting for a long time. At our arrival we was told to book brwakfast so that this would all be avoided but what a shame as the stay was lovely. I do think its a very small room to be serving breakfast in from both side of the city suites in my opinion.

Las habitaciones tenían una mala extracción del olor y al ser apartahoteles esto se nota porque hacía bastante olor a comida, incluso sin haber cocinado, eso significa que la comida era de otra habitación y llegaba hasta nuestra a través del baño. Cuando nos cambiaron las toallas nos las dejaron que parecían sucias, es decir, no estaban bien dobladas.

• Jeanette (8/5): Yungblud at the AO Really great overall. - Fantastic location to train station and AO arena,within easy walking distance. The hotel and staff were great . Room was excellent. The only negative was that the bed was very hard and uncomfortable and one pillow was really lumpy so I didn't get good night's sleep

However the breakfast was very good when it eventually arrived

Breakfast was just not good. Told to book a table, booked at 08:45, not sat down until 9 then no order taken until 09:20 Staff wandering around to the wrong table Only one female staff member who seemed able to sit anyone down. 4 of us but only 3 breakfasts, one entirely forgotten Food average but cold. Raised at reception, told lots of people had complained already and just apologised. Plan to have breakfast somewhere else!
