- Odusseus1000 (2/5): Horrible hotel - Absolutely abysmal service at every level. At check in they charged my cc $1400, $200 more than my booked total price; they explained this was to cover any potential incidentals. This of course is absurd: I’ve never had a Hotel charge me the full amount of the booking at check-in rather than at check out, particularly as I booked thru booking.com and payment is guaranteed by them through my credit card. second, the TV in the room didn’t work and they had nobody on hand to deal with it. Nobody! Third, we went into the restaurant for happy hour and ordered oysters. After 30 minutes (the place was empty) we had to order them again. The WiFi log in is ridiculously cumbersome: you fill out a form, they send you an email, you have to confirm via the email, etc., and of course you have to do this on every device. And lastly, they bombard you with unnecessary text messages endlessly.

- Triplets31214 (4/5): Buyer beware - Booked this hotel as we are in area for wedding this weekend. It is not on the lake. There is a “lake-ified” strip shopping center opposite and then a freight rail train line and then the lake which is not visible The king room that’s supposed to have a lake view has a sliver way off to one side. The delivery trucks for hotel restaurant and other deliveries are constantly parked in front of main entrance making all sorts of beeping noises. The total for two nights for a basic king is almost $1500 and the room is at best like standard Marriott or Hyatt. It sure what the allure is but feeling “taken.” Buyer beware

- John (6/5): - We are currently planning a wedding in the area, with many of our family and friends coming in from out of town. We wanted to stay at The Hotel Landing to see if it might be a good fit for our guests to reserve a block. Long story short - the experience is not worth the cost. Is it a perfectly nice hotel? Sure. Is it worth the many hundreds of dollars per night that they charge? Definitely not. As you’ll come to see, the theme for this property is “prepare to pay extra.” Let’s start on the good: the location is nice, plenty of shops around and right on Lake Minnetonka. But, plan to pay quite a bit extra for a view of the lake from your room. The building itself is new and in good shape with a decent restaurant in the lobby. The rooms are a bit small, so I paid extra for a “junior suite.” I have to tell you, a suite it is not. The bedroom side of the room was quite cramped by a false wall that separated the bed from the sitting area - which only consists of two small chairs and a tv. It would have been much better if they just billed it as a normal room and took down the unnecessary wall. The bathroom was quite nice, excellent flooring, lighting, and a nice large shower. The biggest issue we identified was the bed. The mattress was a bit thin and soft, the pillows were limp, and the mattress springs were very loud. Every time my fiancée moved, I woke up. Neither of us slept well and we left in the morning feeling tired. We won’t recommend Hotel Landing to our guests.

Our junior suite looked like a Scandinavian -style residence Inn suite—not really special though the per night price was quite high. The bed was too soft The parking garage is confusing. Water in the room is $5. We tried having breakfast downstairs and after a long wait for the hostess to show up (who was making a latte for someone) we were told we had to have a reservation in spite of empty tables. (We had a great breakfast at Maggie’s family restaurant just up Lake Ave). I travel a lot for pleasure and business and know good properties. I would not choose to stay here again

- Kevin (6/5): Nice Hotel but Poor Value - The Landing Hotel was simply not a good value. The nightly rate was the same as Four Seasons Minneapolis, so the expectation are high, but nothing about the experience was special. We checked in around noon, but with one person working the front desk and a few people still checking out, it took about 10 to 15 minutes to check in. One of the two guest elevators was out of order. Apparently, so was the service elevator because housekeeping was monopolizing the one elevator creating long lead-times to use an elevator. The food at the restaurant was OK, but nothing special. The cycle and treadmills in the workout room were second tier brands. I will say the facility itself was very nice and clean and the location fantastic, but I expected a better experience for the money.
- Renata (7/5): Nice - The location The air conditioner was really noise. The worst for me, was that I was not allowed to turn off, because the control at the wall was broken. And from the street we can hear the air condition from all the rooms and at the parking garage. First day the bed sheet had the elastic band damaged. So it did not stay covering the bed. The second day was the same bed sheet. They did not changed. Than I stay knowing that you have to ask to change the bed sheet, every day if you want. They say you have"Free private parking is possible on site (reservation is needed). WiFi is available in all areas and is free of charge." When I asked about the resort fee, because there is no pool , nothing, they said is is to cover the Wifi and parking. There is no other hotel options there, so they can charge you what they want. And I like booking.com because it comes with the final price. First they charged me more then was in the booking final price. I showed then and they fixed the charged price.
- Setsuko (6/5): - The room is spacious and clean. The view is facing the next apartment building patios. It charges resort fee, but no pool and spa is closed after 4pm on Wednesday and no masseuse and some credit from the resort fee for your room massage is a false advertisement. The spa doesn’t do massage in your room and it is still looking for a masseuse. The service response is very quick and nice with text message and phone.

- Deanna (6/5): Nice hotel but overpriced - Location. Nice hotel Cost. Xtra cost for bike, can’t ride, waste of money. Paying xtra for wifi, only there to sleep so barely used plus xtra charge is a waste of money. Never been to a hotel that charges for wifi. Think you get a drink at the bar but just a drink at the desk, lost ticket so didn’t get a drink. Xtra charge is not right, don’t offer these items.
