Guest Reviews
- Joseph (10/5): - Great service
- kev (6/5): - Great area pretty poor hotel for the surroundings
- William (10/5): - Amazing place
- Richard (10/5): - I was revisiting the area which i was raised there in the 1960s so it was memorable to me and the location was brilliant id reebook it in future visits
- Paul (10/5): - I thought the buildings grounds parking staff and breakfast were all excellent
, my room 35 was a little smaller than I'm used to but was clean and functional.
Overall I would return.
Thank you for a pleasant stay.
- richard (10/5): Ideal for business and evening village walk - Ideal spot for business and evening walk
- Robert (4/5): - Reception was empty on arrival, after calling the mobile number the acting manager said he would be there in a minute, after waiting a while I asked a passing member of staff who then ra
- Jonathan (10/5): Second wonderful stay. - Our second time staying here and explored more of Cookham, went for some great walks and visited some lovely nearby attractions. The rooms are small, but big enough.
- Raymond (10/5): - Very comfortable beds
- Heather (8/5): Perfect mini break. - Hotel provided a small cosy room with usual facilities including a wonderful walk in shower. Hotel in lovely setting and quaint village.
- Phil (10/5): - Very good in every respect
- Scott (8/5): - Been here a few times now and no complaints. Staff are welcoming and breakfast is good value for money. Nice grounds and lovely area
- Lawrence (10/5): - Would recommend a stay to anyone
- Julian (6/5): - Room to small and the bed ok for one person, the bed was so close to the wall you had about 18 inches from the bed and the bathroom, the bathroom was large and very clean as was the bedroom
- Vyacheslav (10/5): - Beautiful property
- Verified traveler (2/5): - We had to leave as the room was so filthy.
- Uvoh (6/5): - I came in very late, after 10pm, and check-out was 10am, so a rush to get out. The room was a bit tight, and no aircon, so it was hot. There was a small table fan that was noisy. I did love the breakfast with a lot of variety.
- Robert (6/5): - Took over an hour to check in, receptionist was clueless, rude and unprofessional, the rest of the stay was very good excellent breakfast and a good night’s sleep
- David (6/5): - Room is tiny. About 1 foot from end of bed to wall. Shower barely worked, and no hand held hose so you have to wash your hair whether you like it or not. Water barely trickled out so it took half an hour to wash soap off. Kept going from scolding hot to stone cold. Literally a traumatic shower. Lastly room was like a sauna with no aircon and a broken fan. It got so uncomfortable I had to stand in the car park to cool down. Breakfast was great. Parking is great. Shame they can't spend a bit of money and make the rooms liveable
- Depash (10/5): Great stay - Good space for parking and all facilities good breakfast in he morning definitely would go again
- Stephanie (8/5): - A pleasant surprise to find a nice hotel at an affordable price close to amenities
- Matt (8/5): - Not a standard hotel as this is accommodation at a conference venue.
Exactly what I needed since I was working nearby. Plenty of parking, staff great, rooms had everything albeit a touch on the small side. Very hot due to weather but the room has a fan which made it bearable.
I would recommend this place and not hesitate to use this again.
- Christopher (4/5): - So reception is miles from the rooms, there is no air conditioning, and there was 9 inches of space at the bottom of the bed. breakfast is at 7am, so if you need to travel no real point
- Gary (4/5): Dated and lacking in the rooms! - Rooms are suitable for a single person, no air conditioning just too small for a couple and the shower didn’t work!
- Amy (6/5): - The hotel’s picturesque grounds—complete with a charming bridge over the water—were lovely and helped offset some disappointments during our stay. The room was very warm and, without air conditioning, became quite unbearable at times. A fan was provided, but it mostly circulated the hot air. The room was small; ordinarily, that wouldn’t matter, but the heat made it feel even more uncomfortable. We also noticed (too late) there wasn’t enough toilet roll, so we had to use shared facilities down the corridor in the morning, which wasn’t ideal. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom pleasant, with a decent shower.
Our evening plans were affected when we returned at 10 p.m. to find the bar—advertised as open until 11—already closing. The staff member, somewhat abruptly, explained they were short-staffed due to a wedding and blocked toilets, so the bar had to shut. She reluctantly served us one round but refused Baileys as it had already been locked away. While operational challenges are understandable, all guests deserve equal consideration—not just those attending weddings.
Breakfast the next morning was frustrating: the buffet was out of fried eggs, bacon and mushrooms. Although we waited patiently, the mushrooms took too long to appear (so we went without), and by the time we ate, the rest of the food was cold.
Given these issues, we'd consider other options when staying in Cookham again.
- duy (10/5): - Amazing staff really warm, friendly welcome and help you when u needed it. Small but clean room that have everything u need except that u have no fridge and beautiful facilities
- Justyna (6/5): - The room was unbearably hot in the summer. No air conditioning, just a little fan.
- Colin (8/5): - Would definitely stay again. Good price , good breakfast , good staff and lovely place in a lovely town. parking too!!
Negative was cramped room and too hot , though a fan was provided. Not for a weeks holiday etc but great for a night or two
- jack (4/5): - Rooms are very small, have to climb over the bed to get in the bathroom, shower was bad the head was broken and power awful.
- Michael (10/5): - All good
- Joanne (8/5): - Great location & great food - really helpful staff
- Arron (10/5): - Nice rooms
Great breakfast
- Russ (8/5): - Excellent facilities, exceptionally clean, friendly staff, good food.
Checkin put me in a room the was occupied - had to start over - frustrating and worrying from a systems/data perspective.
Would recommend and stay again.
- David (10/5): - nice place good fresh food nice area around the venue to explore will go back
- Paul (8/5): 1 night at the CIM - Booked because working in local area . Great location. I enjoyed a nice walk along the Thames .
- Anne (8/5): - Very clean rooms with tea/coffee facilities which was good, restaurant was not open evening we stayed due to a function in restaurant but there was plenty of places to eat near by. Breakfast was included which was excellent. Only downside was the space between bed to wall was very tight and made it difficult to walk into bathroom, not ideal if you have issues with walking and Fire Alarms went off twice during night which woke us up.
- Keith Tompkins (8/5): - Attractive site with many facilities
- Josh (10/5): - Great stay
- Helena (8/5): - It’s basic but comfortable and clean and the staff are really lovely
- Shaun (10/5): Will definitely stay her again ! - I have to say that this was a last minuet booking, and as soon as I arrived at the picture perfect village, I knew I had made the right choice. Great location, plenty of parking, friendly staff, relaxing bar area, good food, and room was clean & comfy ! .... and recomend you take time to expore the local village too.
- Michael (10/5): Conference Centre in old manor house - We were looking for an overnight stay near London outside the M25 to make an easy start driving to Wales.
This was excellent value with a good large breakfast included. Interesting old buildings, friendly staff, easy parking.
Right on the edge of Cookham which is a beautiful village on the Thames. Plenty of places to eat even on a Sunday evening. I can definitely recommend this rather than the better known towns which are too busy and expensive.
- J (8/5): Ideal location. - Good location for Marlow and Maidenhead. Really nice looking place. Room was spotless but very small. Bed was ok but again very small . Breakfast was amazing. Would probably stay again.
- Stephen (8/5): - Good location
- Michael (6/5): - Unique. Small rooms, however, quite clean.
1 staff member was rude. I dont recall her name. Overall, I suppose I might stay there again.
- Jonathan (10/5): Fantastic stay - Stayed there for 6 weeks, excellent accommodation, great staff and good location
- Richard (4/5): Stay away - This is not a hotel is the first thing to note, the accommodation is set in a cheaply built building where the walls are so thin that you can hear all kinds of noises from different areas. The rooms are Tiny and I mean TINY. If you are over 5’5 you legs will more than likely be hanging of the bed.
So of the staff were Ok, the bar girls and Marco others were board line rude and inhospitable. Food was ok for a short stay but very limited choice and didn’t expand anymore than a typical fast food.
Breakfast was terrible 2 days out of three, freezing cold and the guy that worked had zero people skills, and again was just rude.
Parking is confusing and not clearly marked for “accommodation residents” however once found this appears secure.
I would never stay at this place again.
- Jonathan (10/5): Great stay and value for money - Great value, in lovely surroundings.
Rooms are bright and very clean. Fabulous shower. Plenty of secure parking. Breakfast good selection and good quality. Evening meals really good value for the price. Staff are helpful and friendly. All in all excellent value for the price
- Clinton (8/5): - Pleasant place to stay
Clean and tidy
Room a little small but only used for sleeping in so not a big issue
Decent breakfast
Nice bar area and food was good
- Steve (10/5): Great place to stay. - Great place to stay.
Good price for the area.
Rooms are a little small for two.
Buffet breakfast included.
Nice pubs and restaurants nearby.
- Stephen (8/5): Nice stay. Good value. Clean but basic. - Home to the institute of marketing, this is a good level conference centre type accommodation. Staff are great, breakfast is good, grounds are good too. For a night or two on a business trip - it’s just right.
- Nivaben (10/5): - Excellent service. It’s very quite and outside view is very awesome…
- PAUL (10/5): - Excellent, small rooms but very comfortable, I will be baxk next week
- Mike (10/5): - Another great overnight stay at CIM. Rooms always clean and comfortable and the warm welcome from the team is appreciated.
I look forward to staying again in the near future.
- David (10/5): Great value - Great value place with good facilities in lovely grounds. Second stay here and immaculate again, plus an excellent breakfast. Good choice of places to eat nearby.
- Darren (8/5): Nice enough & more than adequate. - So much good about this hotel but a few things they could improve on. Reception staff helpful & informative.
Double rooms are very small but adequate. Would be a bit of a squeeze with two people in. All very clean, warm & a modern bathroom. Great shower & comfy bed. I could hear the person & bathroom a bit next door. Good parking. Lots of light & CCTV covering.
Bar food was just ok. Breakfast was good in general with enough choice, however, the morning staff clearly need to set their alarms a little earlier. Both mornings they struggled to be up & running for 0700. Still running about setting up. No coffee, cups or glasses for juice. Would not have been a big issue but we were on a tight schedule to get to a job. Liked the table cloths, Made it feel more upmarket. Fire alarm also went off at 0620 one morning! Chef rushing maybe?
In comparison to many hotels ive stayed in, good value & more than sufficient. A few tweaks needed.
- Mike (10/5): - Perfect for a business overnight stay.
- james (10/5): - Great place to stay nice village
- Linda (8/5): Ideal for short stay - CIM is a business centre with accommodation so not your typical hotel.
Rooms are small but with all amenities- tea/coffee making facilities, iron, ironing board. Plenty of free parking. Perfect for a one or two night stay.
- elizabeth (10/5): - Always excellent good staff very clean
- Deborah (10/5): - The room was cold when I arrived. The windows were open and radiator off. I had to pull bedside cabinet out to turn on radiator. I also turned on heated towel rail. Plenty tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. One mug was chipped but still used it. Breakfast was self service buffet style. Continental and cooked. Staff were very helpful
- David (10/5): - Perfect for an overnight stay with great facilities and easy access to restaurants
- Anirban (10/5): Our visit to RKM Vedanta Centre, Bourne End - We stayed for one night in this fantastic place. We were on a last-minute visit to Bourne End. This is close by. The rooms are small but comfortable. They are clean. Excellent breakfast is included. Nice surroundings. You should have some water bottles in the room. Some good (and costly) restaurants are nearby.
- Charlotte (10/5): - A lot better than expected, nice clean room and shower was big. Breakfast was really good too.
- John (10/5): Just right. - Short notice booking, great amenities and comfort and service for the price and location.
- Antony (4/5): - Very expensive for what it is. Very small room. Sideways shuffle to get round the bed. Tea bags already opened, so I avoided those. Thick layers of dust on the skirting boards. Expected much more for the price. Breakfast was reasonable; no hash browns but overall a decent selection. WiFi not the best either. Would I stay again? Probably not, I’d be looking for alternatives.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Average stay. Tired interiors, extremely small room for 2 people, spider webs and dust in room, thin walls (can hear people’s alarm clocks going off in other rooms) and mediocre breakfast.
- elizabeth (10/5): - Very nice quiet nice food and breakfast
- Sean (6/5): - Would have been good right up until the shower didn’t work!
- Lee (8/5): Ok stay - Rooms were clean although small. They were very hot but beds were comfy and shower a good size and plenty of hot water
Breakfast was plentiful although only just warm in temperature
- Garfi (10/5): Convenient location to explore - We stayed hear for 3 nights as a base to explore the surrounding area . Your 10 minutes from maidenhead where you can catch the trains to London your a 4 minute walk from the Thames and 25 minutes from Windsor. realy convenient hotel with great breakfast included and there are plenty of options to eat in the village which are all walkable within a few minutes
The rooms are a little small and would benefit from air conditioning as it gets extremely hot in them as the small fan doesn't help but as a base to sleep at the prices we paid cant grumble . Recommended
- Talbot (8/5): Functional and convenient. - One night stopover. Nice location, reasonably priced restaurant, good breakfast. Tiny room but fully functional, would use again if in area.
- Andrew (10/5): - Quiet, safe and convenient place with excellent and professional staff
- cherry (6/5): Better places for the price - The receptionists we're very friendly and helpful with any information.
But the hotel bedrooms we're very small and the windows didn't have any net curtains, so unless you pulled the blackout curtains ( which made the room very dark) people in the parking lot could see everything!!!!
Plus 30 minutes before breakfast was due to finish staff we're removing items, which I had to ask for, so made you feel awkward!!
- Andrew (10/5): - Excellent place to be with excellent facilities and staff too
- Vivienne (10/5): Nice Stay! - Just an overnight stay, comfortable bed, although a bit close to the Bathroom, had to squeeze past. Friendly staff, reasonable breakfast. Fried Egg was overcooked as sat under a hot plate..Restaurant was closed in the evening, plenty of eateries nearby though. Beautiful grounds, I would happily return and stay a bit longer.
- Cecilia (10/5): - We had a great time and Stay at CIM business Center. Highly recommended.
Thank you
- David (10/5): A gem for the price - Used as a one night stay as part of a business trip. Absolute bargain for the area. Good place to relax plus lovely Cookham and River Thames walks on the doorstep. Nice breakfast choice. Rooms are compact, but great value.
- Ann (10/5): - Excellent value and great location.
- dennis (4/5): - Room was very small but clean all you could hear all night was doors slamming or people talking in the next room bed comfortable shower great breakfast good .
- Paul (10/5): Great stay at the CIM Business Centre - Excellent value for money, the service was spot on and nothing to complain about at all! And a good buffet breakfast included, if required.
- Diego (8/5): - The only drawback was the room, being on the small side. Everything else was fantastic: location, people, building, parking, food - all great! Surely to stay again in the future!
- Andrew (10/5): - Fantastic price, beautiful buildings and very peaceful
- Nick (10/5): Great value. - Amazing venue, there was a party going on (it was Saturday night) but reception told me about it and the only noise was from a few thoughtless people in the corridor but not too bad. The rooms are compact but really good.
- Jonathan (10/5): Affordable escape - Wanting to explore this part of Buckinghamshire, I was surprised to see such a good deal right in the heart of Cookham. There was a slight issue with the cards on check, but other than that the stay was great and the extra steps probably did me good. They were good enough to email that a loud event was on that night, and actually it was interesting to hear the sort of music that goes down at a prom as we had some evening drinks. Glad I grew up on the 80s. Check smooth and some great places nearby to visit
- Jayne (10/5): Perfect stay over - Perfect stay over for me and would definitely start again and recommend.
Simple but clean, great location, lovely grounds and nice and quiet!
- Roy (8/5): - From checking in to checking out all the staff were excellent, interested in the reason we were staying at Moor Hall and happy to make our stay memorable.
The only area that was not so good was the quality of the ‘Bar Meal’ we had on the Monday evening, the food was lacking in quality and presentation, there were 8 of us eating and the only meal that was said to be good was the Gluten Free meal.
- Bruce (8/5): Business centric tranquility space - Lovely part of the country. Both Cookham and Maidenhead offered a lot of quality evening options. I didn't realise how close the hotel was to the Elizebeth Line. It was peaceful, quiet and pretty much perfect if you're planning meetings/"space to work"/events/team building venue etc.
- Keith (8/5): - It was excellent value for money.
On the minus side, the rooms were slightly cramped and got quite warm at night.
We weren’t aware until the day of arrival that no lunch or dining facilities would be available because of private functions, although it wasn’t a problem.
- James (8/5): Great location but small rooms - Nice hotel and surroundings. Great location for walks. Check in and breakfast was good. The room however is very small.
The shower is good though!
- P (10/5): Cookham Moor hall - Great location. Very relaxing venue and great vfm
- Nivaben (10/5): - Wonderful and very peaceful place.
- Robert (10/5): - Booked on the day due to a change in plans.
Positive: Staff very helpful, room clean and modern, nice location and good atmosphere at 'hotel' (which is really a conference centre), very convenient to walk along river, into Cookham, ample free parking. There was an function at the hotel but I was warned and noise was minimal. Nice breakfast included.
Negative points: Only that the room was well equipped but very small (remember for conference delegates really). Ok for a one night / short stay but maybe restrictive for a longer stay.
- Keith (10/5): Lovely location! Excellent Service - Lovely quiet location with friendly staff and excellent service.
Room was clean, with a window for fresh air and a decent size bathroom.
Included breakfast
Definately seeing me again
- Charles (6/5): - Pleasant surroundings.
- Kevin (6/5): Bank Holiday Break - When we arrived the room wasnt ready as check-in wasnt until 3.00pm but it was only 2.30pm but was told we coiuld sit in the bar but then noticed that there was a wedding taking place in the grounds and we felt that we shoudnt have been there as all the staff were watching the wedding, it would have been nice for the hotel to contact us when we booked that a wedding was taking place, we also could not use the restaurant on the evening as it was being used for the wedding reception so had to make alternative arrangements to eat elsewhere.
Would also have been nice for the hotel to have told us this when we checked in.
We were also woken up during the night as our room backed onto the staff carpark as two men were making alot of noise outside our window and sounded like they were commiting a sexual act in the carpark.
We could not complain when we checked out as the reception was unmanned.
- Ainhoa (10/5): - The staff was very friendly and the accommodation was very good.
- Neil (8/5): Great venue - Our stay was very nice, the venue was as described, although no catering on the weekend which turned out to be adventurous as we dined at a local Asian restaurant which was excellent
- Peter (10/5): - Good clean room, small but perfect for what we needed, lovely shower, lovely towels. Shower gel, hair shampoo and conditioner, tea and coffee in room
Excellent Breakfast
Thank you
- Anne (6/5): - Bedroom small and only one towel for 2 guests. Staff pk but not very professional/informative. Breakfast good and very lovely location.
- Nicola (8/5): - This was a great find for us, the place on the whole was quiet and picturesque. Staff and service was excellent and we would overall stay again if we were in the area.
The breakfast had all components that you could want/need from continental to a cooked breakfast. Hot drinks machine throughout the day included in your stay as well as a gym, huge free car park and free WiFi.
The hotel is within walking distance of the little village and there are a good number of restaurants and pubs for food and drink around the area. Only criticisms would be that the rooms are very small and we found the bed quite uncomfortable.
The rooms are slightly dated but practical for what we needed.
The shower wasn’t very powerful, so it took longer to shower than normal. The temperature was also unpredictable as it kept dropping to cold and then back to hot.
This place was enough for what we needed for the 2 nights we stayed, we were only in our rooms to sleep and wash, so for that reason it was purposeful for our needs. If you are spending longer or lounging in your room it may be too cramped.
There also isn’t air conditioning in the room either so the rooms can become quite stuffy/warm. However, as already mentioned we would stay if we were in the area again.
