• Francis (8/5): - When I first stayed here there was nothing on the shower floors and they were very slippery. I almost fell in the shower a few times. There are now strips on the shower floor but they only cover about half of the floor, so half of the floor is still very slippery. They can't cost that much, I don't know why the motel dosen't put more of them on the floor. I'm surprised they haven't been sued by people who fell in the shower.

• Lynn (6/5): Adequate but expensive for what you get. - Good mattress. Quiet atmosphere. Could add a box of kleenex. Could use a hook for clothes. TV offering seemed very old.

• Brittany (10/5): - We needed a quick place to stay while at a wedding. The only thing we noticed was a stuffy smell where it’s older, but with the windows open it went away and was a wonderful stay. The room itself was super clean and comfortable.

• Barbara J (6/5): - Our room was semi clean, but we found things like hairs in the shower and crumbs or something on the floor, and the sheets could have used some bleach or replacement. It was not special, just a place to sleep. The person there to check us in didn’t know we were coming because we made the reservation same day. She didn’t know how to use the computer, so it took a very long time (over a half hour) for her to get ahold of someone who said yes we were in the system and all set. We had to carry our luggage up stairs-there were not ground level doors.

• Keith (2/5): - This is the worst place i’ve ever stayed. I wish i could post the pictures i took of the stained towel and bed sheets to this review. Why didnt i complain? There was no one around, when i was coming and going to work. I was told that the hotel had been refurbished recently. I would say new carpet in the hallway, tiles in the bedroom. A new sink and toilet. But everything else was old. Do not stay at this location. I can forgive old but not clean.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Would Skip in the Future - We needed a last-minute, one-night stay, and this inn had an available room. The hallways smelled of cigarette smoke, the bathroom drains, both tub and sink, didn't drain properly, and the AC unit ran so loud it was hard to sleep through. I would do what I could not to stay here again.

• Kara (2/5): - The only positive is that they allowed early check in. We dropped our bags and headed out with concern for our choice. The floor had food crumbs on it, the refrigerator did not seal, sink drained poorly, and AC was moderately cooling. When we returned for the night there were people nodding off in a car in the parking lot and a man slumped on the front stoop. There was a Bobby pin I. The bed and stained pillow cases when bedding was pulled down. We reported our dissatisfaction and left with the attendant giving my husband the finger. Expedia requested a refund for us and the host declined.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Convenient location & generously $ historic inn - Property itself is very historic but they offered us a very nice renovated room. No complain about room. If they can add a coffee maker at least in each room, it will be nicer. Convenient location to the down town, nice Mexican restaurant and shopping near by. We will be back. Thank you.

I am posting this entire review on Facebook, and other Social Media outlets. MAYBE this will strike a business cord wit the owners, BUT I highly doubt it. That particular ethnic group, does not care about the paying customer, only about collecting money. Zero, there is absolutely nothing good about this motel. • Gary (1/5): Horrible smell and worse experience - will not return. - Not much, short drive to Newport was the only redeeming feature. The room reeked of cigarette smoke! They advertise themselves as a non-smoking property, but the room’s odor was beyond overpowering. In addition to the strong stench of cigarette smoke, the physical condition of the room was sub-par (and that’s putting it nicely). Both blankets had colored stains on them, knobs were missing on the bathroom cabinetry, and more. I had no choice but to spend as little time in the room as possible. They had no additional vacancies, and switching rooms wasn’t an option.
• Laura (5/5): It was adequate for our short stay and was the only affordable option in the area. - The location was easy to find and adequate to the event we were attending. Our room was large and the air conditioning worked. We were able to get extra hangers and pillows on request. The facility is overall shabby. A small office area is behind bars and glass and is inconsistently manned. The carpet in our room was sticky and turned white socks brown. There is no elevator. I've stayed in many fourth-class hotels around the world, so I'm not that picky, but for a US hotel, it left a lot to be desired.

• Aswathy (7/5): My stay at wickford was pleasant. The staffs, the location makes me comfortable. - The location is really nice. You can find different restaurants just opposite to the hotel. Staffs are good. Welcoming. The carpets in the room are old and find some stains on the bed cover.

After a long day on the road, I just expected a comfortable place to sleep, shower in the morning, then head out. But the whole experience was something I never want to repeat. I was under the impression this property was wheelchair accessible. It was not. The entrance has a step, and even the check-in desk is up four stairs. I had no alternative because of time and location but to use my cane and drag myself upstairs. The room smelled of urine, there were stains on the carpet, the bed sheet was yellowed. The one "chair" was a broken office chair. No WiFi, no USB plugs.

• 858barbarao (2/5): Beware of reservations unrefundable - am specifically requesting a refund of $184.27. in EXCEPTION to the fact that it supposed to be unrefundable. The manager was exceptionally rude and unhelpful when I called to inquire about the conditions of the rooms. Look for yourself online. Horrible reviews saying blood stains on sheets, roaches and bed bugs. The rooms was supposed to be unrefundable because of the "low rate". I was charged 132.99 yet when I looked online the quoted rate was 20 dollars less than what I was charged. I was additionally charged an additional tax recovery and fees of 51.28. State tax is 7% and hotel tax 6% so just what were the other fees for? I am requesting specifically a refund of $184.27. I was visiting Rhode Island because I was born there while my father was in the Navy. It was also my 45th anniversary of marriage. This was a bucket list trip. I was so shocked by this expierience and horrified. It ruined my day and we ended up staying in a KOA campgrounds by my daughter in New York. I shouldn't have to pay for services That were a health hazard and the person I talked to was extremely rude and wouldn't even give me his name. He would only say he worked the front desk. When you call the hotel you cannot even leave a message. They just say to call back later. Extremely unprofessional.

A fresh skid mark on the unwashed sheets. Grime and hair in the tub. Outdated and rickety furnishings. No security. Someone tried to break in my room in the middle of the night! No one came to tend to the room and I ran out of toilet paper, yet they had the nerve to ask for a housekeeping tip. Dangerous, terrifying, unsanitary, no amenities like hair dryer or coffee maker. Ancient room keys on doors that do not lock when you leave the room. Absolutely the worst place I’ve ever been. I can’t warn you enough to stay away!
