Guest Reviews
- Abigail (6/5): Disappointing - felt like poor value for money - The secluded location and great communal area. The staff (for the most part!) were very friendly and helpful. The tent was only moderately clean and had hair in the shower tray and plug. Housekeeping is by request, but no one told us this, so our room wasn’t touched until our final day. The food is average to poor and quite overpriced. And while it isn’t the staff’s fault, we had strong winds that shook our tent at the top of the resort so dramatically it was impossible to sleep. We asked staff to try and secure it and they just said it was fine and to use earplugs.

A tenda é super espaçosa e confortável.

A vista é simplesmente espetacular!
- stacip922 (6/5): Beautiful, but not the experience we expected - Really beautiful location, and great staff, but not the quiet, dark sky experience we had anticipated. It was more like a typical camping experience with lots of activity- cars and people crunching on the gravel roads right next to our tent very loudly, lots of giggling and activity (very family friendly), we were able to hear conversations in the tents next to us, and we were hoping it would be dark enough to see the stars, but the camp was well lighted. Our wood stove pipe was broken and our tent smelled of smoke on arrival. The management took a long time to get this sorted out, which made our check-in a bit stressful. The staff started the stove for us, but it went out within an hour, and we couldn’t keep it going through the night, which made for a very cold, windy, sleepless night. The stove emits a lot of smoke into the tent, which made me feel sick. People with asthma or allergies to smoke would have a very hard time with this.
- Avanie_Trovato (4/5): Memorable glamping but beware of the spring cold - We stayed at both the Zion and Lake Powell Under Canvas locations over Spring Break (mid April 2026). Overall, the concept is fun and memorable, but there are some important things to know before you book.
Pros
1. Spacious, comfortable tents: The tents are extremely roomy and nicely appointed, with very comfortable beds and a private in-tent bathroom. It more luxurious than traditional camping but it’s definitely still camping when it comes to weather and hearing your neighbors staying up late.
2. Good food: On-site restaurant has great food and they offer convenient grab-and-go items you can take on your hikes during the day. Just note that the restaurant isn’t open all day, so don’t count on an afternoon coffee. If you plan on any alcohol beverages, always carry your ID. Utah is very strict about carding, regardless of how old you look.
3. Kid-friendly touches: The evening s’mores were a highlight for our kiddo. The fire pits and blankets made the nights feel special and cozy.
4. Beautiful views: We had great views from both locations we stayed at (Zion and Lake Powell). The scenery and seclusion really is a major selling point.
Cons (and Things to Know)
1. Freezing cold in mid April - The biggest downside was the cold. The wood stoves burn through fuel in under an hour, and the wood provided burns very quickly (no long burning cedar). The matches they supply are also low quality and frustrating. Definitely request extra duvets and a hot water bottle at night if you’re staying in spring.
2. “Hot water” in tents is inconsistent: The hot water is heated by propane tanks and is very inconsistent. We often ended up with cold showers, and other guests we spoke to had the same experience at both Under Canvas locations we stayed at. If a reliably hot shower is important to you, this may be a deal-breaker.
3. No electricity in the tents: There’s no standard electricity, though they do provide rechargeable lanterns and a portable charging bank for phones and small devices.
4. No Wi‑Fi and poor cell service: There’s no Wi‑Fi, and cell reception is spotty at best at Zion (although at Lake Powell cell connectivity is great). This makes it tricky when you need to pull up Google Maps to figure out directions or time to get to your tour. They don’t have paper maps of the area as a back up either. If you need to do a bit of work while on holiday, this will be an issue.
5. Inconsistent quality between locations: At Zion, there was no duvet for the pullout sofa but at Lake Powell, a duvet was provided. The menu though identical was also differently executed (chef at Lake Powell was better)
6. Zion Location isn’t ideal for Zion tours: Most Zion tours depart from Springdale, which is about a 30‑minute drive from Under Canvas and typically start between 7–8 a.m. Springdale itself has many hotels and inns, a cute walkable downtown, plenty of restaurants and is much closer to the park. Next time, we plan to stay in Springdale for convenience and warmth.
7. Tours & booking tips: There’s an extra surcharge if you book tours through the Under Canvas concierge. It’s worth booking the horse riding through them as it is on site. For hikes like The Narrows or Angels Landing, we recommend booking directly with The Zion Guide Hub. If you book through them, your Angels Landing permit is included with the tour. If you plan to hike Angels Landing on your own, you must secure a permit yourself, which isn’t always easy. For stargazing, we recommend booking directly with Zion Stargazing. Bryce Canyon is very doable on your own, go down sunset point (easier downhill), Navajo loop, then up sunrise (gentler ascent) - we saw ppl who reversed it struggle - hiking poles do help a lot. If you’re visiting in March or early April (Spring Break season), know that it’s one of their busiest times. Visitor parking lots at Zion can fill by 8 a.m. In Zion, cars aren’t allowed through the main canyon, so you’ll park and then use the shuttle system.
8. Packing - If you’re coming for Spring Break, bring ski base layers, or fleece-lined hiking pants. You need both a beanie and a cap. Double lined gloves and hot hands warmers made a big difference. A waterproof rain jacket is essential as weather can change quickly, and you’ll be outside a lot. You will need a larger backpack with a water bladder (REI Traverse 35 is my recommendation) for at least 1 person who will carry the layers you peel off and the food. Camel backs with 2 liter water bladders are essential too. Buy snacks at the grocery store, and fresh food at the camp the day off.
- Crystalls3 (10/5): Special place under the stars ✨ - Under canvas Zion is a special place. We visited on an annual mother + son (12) trip, and I picked 2 nights in Zion and 1 night in Las Veas.
- DaveO1032 (10/5): Wonderful - Another beautiful Under Canvas stay. We stayed at Moab a couple of days earlier abd love the experience. Food at Zion was very good. Woke up one morning to cowbells and grazing cows. Loved it.
- S4179YYnickp (10/5): 10/10 - Amazing Time! - My wife and I stayed for two nights and we were angry with ourselves for not staying longer! It was such a great experience being under the stars. The tent was spotless, the bed was super comfortable, and the food/drinks were great! Only suggestion I would give them would provide more "grab and go" easy food options for dinner. Location is 15/10 - waking up to the Utah landscape around you and going to bed under the stars is truly so amazing. And added bonus the cows roaming the grounds!
- W341KAmollyl (10/5): A Must for Park road trip! - Under Canvas was a must for our bucket- list National Parks roadtrip in southern Utah. The accommodations in our deluxe tent were perfect with plenty of space for myself & two teens. The star gazing is lovely and the evening dinner & fire pits in the shared space provide great memories.
- 773aditik (10/5): The perfect place to glamp! - The Under Canvas location at Zion is unbeatable, nestled in Kolob terrace with incredible views all around. Very accessible to the park entrance, and on the route to Kolob reservoir, it is very easy to plan your day to be at the park on time, and spend the evening on the porch with a book and a view, with a delicious dinner made with quality ingredients waiting for you at night. Sleeping under the stars in a warm tent with a wood burning stove and a full shower and toilet tops off the perfect vacation. We are determined to hit up every Under Canvas location after our experience here.
- 726juang (10/5): Can't wait to go back - WOW!
Under Canvas Zion exceeded our expectations. Even though our first two nights the weather got really cold and windy, we enjoyed ourselves with the hot water bags under the blankets of our tent.
Zion South Entrance is a 30 min drive, and everything in Under Canvas was super cool.
The service is slow, but it's charming. The tents are very well built, and the night sky is nothing short of amazing.
100% recommended.
- Kendratwelve (10/5): Unique and Beautiful - What a unique and beautiful experience! The location was incredible, the tents were perfect and the staff was above and beyond! Loved our first Under Canvas experience at Zion!
- liudacris (6/5): Scalding Night of Glamping and Star Searching - The location was stunning. The tents were of high quality. We appreciated the onsite dining to make things easier for guests. We rented the star gazer tent. We were able to see the stars at night through the tent. However, it would have been better service for the clear portion of the tent (star gazing section) to have been cleaned before we arrived. There was dirt caked on the star gazing section. The shower water in our tent was extremely hot/scalding such that it was a complete challenge to take a shower. We texted guest services to adjust the water settings afterwards, which they responded and addressed after we completed our shower attempts. But we wish they had adjusted it initially prior to arrival. Overall, it’s a nice oasis if you’re looking to unplug from day-to-day life and want to learn how to make your own fire.

- Wanderer44928100151 (10/5): Trip to remember. - Amazing location with unbelievable views. Tents were clean and the bed was comfortable. Can get a little windy at night as cool air comes down the canyon so be prepared!
- Q3330VDnathanw (10/5): Exceptional Experience – Incredible Customer Care When It Mattered Most - Our family recently stayed at Under Canvas Zion, and while our trip started with an unexpected and scary incident, what stood out most was how the team handled it.
On our first night, our son had an accident near one of the fire pits and suffered a burn on his hand. It was a tough moment for our family, and it definitely impacted some of the activities we had planned.
What truly made the difference was how the Under Canvas team—especially Chris, the General Manager—responded. He took the time to meet with us personally, listen to everything we shared, and most importantly, he genuinely cared. There was no defensiveness—just a desire to do the right thing.
Chris and his team stepped up in a way that exceeded our expectations, taking full ownership of the situation and making it right. That level of care and accountability is rare, and it left a lasting impression on our family.
Beyond that, the property itself is absolutely incredible. The setting near Zion is breathtaking, the tents are beautifully done, and the overall experience is something really unique.
While the situation with our son was not something we would ever want to go through again, it’s how a company responds in moments like that that truly defines them. Under Canvas proved to us that they stand behind their guests and are committed to doing what’s right.
We’re grateful for how they took care of us and are already talking about visiting another Under Canvas location in the future.
- ianiB4653ZL (10/5): Stepping stone to Zion! - Absolutely great place to go with family to relax and disconnect. Loved that it had no WiFi or cell service. Great location, close to Zion and other cool places! Would not recommend going here though in the summer months as there is no a/c
- annajlange (10/5): Stunning views, fun experience - Large, dog-friendly glamping in spectacular location close to Zion National Park. Great restaurant, nice staff, clean comfy tents. Awesome for stargazing! Short hiking loop just north of camp is perfect for dog walks. Only issue was our tent was too close to the community area which was loud with people and cars/headlights in and out starting before 5AM until after midnight. If we stay again I’d be sure to request a tent far away from the central area. We were surprised that so many people drove instead of walked from their tents to the central area to eat and play games. All the driving also creates a lot of dust.

- corip567 (10/5): Must Visit! - Wonderful experience. The staff was amazing!! It was obvious everyone loves working for Under Canvas. Our 8 and 11 year olds loved the experience and enjoyed exploring the property and the smores every night!
- Andy (10/5): We loved the location and the staff were excellent - Love the location and far away it was from the main road. No noise , just the wildlife. Heard coyotes in the early morning, which made it all worth the while. We had a problem with the closure of tent zipper. Staff did attempt to fix but the problem continued to persist. The zipper had some damaged teeth.

- vickypA9306EJ (10/5): Unforgettable Night - Incredible site. We visited for one night in late October on our honeymoon, staying in one of the star gazer tents and it was fabulous. Clean and well maintained facilities, friendly and helpful staff - even decorated the tent for us. Great vibes and amazing scenery. Would visit again in a heartbeat.
- ericbF8430SE (4/5): Not for us. I hope it is for you. - I really wanted to give this place top marks and had really high hopes. Unfortunately, for us, it just wasn’t good.
I should qualify this and tell you we’ve been blessed to travel all over the world and had experience glamping in a similar set up in the Serengeti at an adventure camp. We had been referred to UC by some friends and were really excited to spend four nights here outside of Zion in late October. I also have to be honest about the time of year we booked. It was the last week of their year that UC was open. This is for good reason. It’s cold at night in late October in Zion. We knew that going in but took the chance the wood burning stove in the tent would be sufficient to keep us cozy and warm. Spoiler alert - it wasn’t. Unless you get up every two hours to add wood, you’ll be shivering by 2 am. They did give us hot water bottles for our bed. Nice touch I thought.
The good - the set up is pretty cool with the tents all dotted on the hill side overlooking the corner of Zion with the red rock stunning at sunset. We loved the thought of sitting each night at our tent or the common areas around the fire taking it all in. It’s very removed and I can see how that would be desirable for many people.
The bad - Where can I begin? As good as the location may be removed a bit for some, we found it to be too far out around the west side of the park. You had to drive 45 min to get to Springdale and if you’re spending a lot of time in the park, just be aware. There is a west side of the park you can explore from UC, but you still have to drive back out and around to get there.
We had dinner the first night outside and it was okay. We didn’t eat dinner enough here to give honest feedback. It’s pricey but you are a captured crowd here. No food allowed in tents per rules. You can get drinks and they will get you ice and a cooler for your tent but have to eat up in the common areas.
Let’s talk about the common areas. I was most excited to sit around a real fire with warmth and the camping feel to it. Nope. Two gas fire pits with low flame and not much help getting the thing lit or keeping it lit. We watched kids from the UK trying to roast marshmallows over barely lit flames and maybe I should have checked before if the fires were real or not. Perhaps it was the fire restrictions keeping real fires away. I hope so because the public fire pits were not good.
The biggest challenge we faced night one was the wind. I know they aren’t controlling Mother Nature, but as soon as we went to bed, we realized sleep was going to be a challenge. The winds were gusting all night. The tent was rattling and our chairs and table outside crashed down and my wife had her suitcase inside toppled over because the wind was rattling the tent so bad. We thought it was coming down at one point. We got no sleep. The star gazer tent we were in was used because we were wide awake all night looking through the little plastic slit in the ceiling. I guess I thought it would be a lot of the top of the tent. It wasn’t. That was on me. They do have pictures and I didn’t look close enough. I mentioned the fire in the tent. The wood burning stove is neat and it did help at bedtime but it’s small and does burn out fast. You will be cold in late October and need to tend to it periodically at night to keep
It going.
The next morning we woke up
or I guess stayed up to jump in the shower. The chain has to be pulled to get water from the shower head and it was hot for a bit and then freezing cold. We are admittedly hotel snobs in the best way possible and I expected the bathroom situation but getting no hot water wasn’t good after that long night.
I told them about it and they said they’d come look at it but we didn’t stay. After I got out of the shower and my wife noticed a big spider bite on my chest and after we went to breakfast and the egg sandwich I ordered exploded with runny yolk when I bit into it all over my coat I decided if we wanted to sleep and enjoy the next three days in Zion we’d have to go to the Springfield Suites in town. I’m so glad we did.
I did talk to them about the wind. They did say it was a storm the night we were there but it was clear skies all night. They told me it does get windy in the canyon so just be aware. There are ear plugs for a reason. I could see if it was calm all week how enjoyable this could be but for us, it wasn’t. I also hate to criticize staff. I think they work really hard especially in a place like this so removed. It just felt like it was their last week of the year. My advice don’t go at the end of their year.
Again, this wasn’t for us and one thing after the other made our first night miserable. For some it likely is great with no wind and an amazing time with your partner or your family but it didn’t work for us. I really wanted it to. I rarely give poor reviews like this but I wish I had read more about it before we went. Much of it out of their control so I don’t blame the staff, necessarily but It just didn’t work for us.
- iamiamgoing (8/5): Beautiful little spot - This is a great little spot tucked way back in the canyon. It’s beautifully designed we enjoyed our stay. The pros are. They have a great open area for campfires and they serve food and like the main intent. Getting into your own tent may require a golf cart or if you’re able to walk It’s pretty doable.
If few things about the cabin, I would definitely improve upon is that they do not offer any type of comfortable seating. They have two Rocky chairs on the small porch and two really low leather sling chairs inside. All four chairs were rickety and unstable. It would be really nice to relax in a nice comfortable Chair on your deck, but they just don’t offer that in the stargazer tent.
I like to say that the Star geezer that was a big hit once it was dark.
We join the others for s’mores.
They tell you to call or text for a ride, but there’s no cell phone service so this a little difficult to do. We managed to find signal after a while just enough to send a text.
I would not recommend the tents one through eight or 10 you get a lot of golf cart traffic camping, downhill, and cars coming in and out. It’s quite dusty.
Request a tent on the hill
They offer a stove, kind of set up, supposed to heat the 10 hours to not work and end up, smoking us out. But we stayed warm under the cover.
- beckyt469 (8/5): Unique experience. - This was our first UC stay. Followed by Moab and Grand Canyon locations. Staff were friendly and responsive. A unique experience and tent amenities with wood burning stove, hot shower, soft bed and toilet were great. The location is out of the way so got dark at night for stargazing. The layout of tents in proximity to each other and for access was not ideal. We were close to neighboring tents and the access road allowed vehicles on it instead of just golf carts. So there was road noise and bright light beams during the late evening and early morning. No doubt a step above regular camping and a cool experience. Not quite as serene as anticipated.
- danr17 (4/5): Skip it. - We were put in a tent next to the main gravel road entrance. Up until midnight and starting again at 5am we heard the rumbling of vehicles coming and going every 15 minutes or so. Why they would situate multiple tents by the main entrance/exit is a mystery. So much for a peaceful night under the stars. When I mentioned this in an email after our stay, the ops manager basically said "oh well, that's why we provide ear plugs." I emailed again and never got a response. A premium price and a highly disappointing experience and response.
- Laurie (8/5): - wonderful stay - just a mishap the morning checking out. We loaded the car with our belongings - all but one bag left on the bed - went for breakfast before checking out. When we got back - the bag was gone. Quite upsetting. After speaking with 2 staff members - it was found to be at the office. They thought the bag was left behind - but we hadn't checked out yet! All good in the end - but for a while there - not good
- Carla (10/5): - Loved the individual tent with a bathroom and a fireplace. Felt private and rustic in a beautiful setting. Short walk away was a wonderful restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, multiple fire pits and seating areas. Must admit I love the free s’mores. I especially loved that we were able to come back after a long day of hiking before we headed to the airport!
- Amber (10/5): - Excellet experience! Great facilities. Stayed in the star gazer tent and it definitely paid off for star gazing. Food was delicious. A pool would have topped it off! Nothing to do on site or close area in terms of anything relaxing but plenty of hiking around!
- sallyjO336YK (4/5): WAY Overpriced - We have stayed in many great tented sites over the years. This was not one.
The tent wasn’t too clean, it had tears in it and a gap “big enough for a ground hog to get through,” as my husband said. (I posted a photo)
The chairs weren’t comfortable at all.
A prior guest’s plastic headband was still under our bed, so obviously no one cleaned under there.
Our view was obscured by many other tents, not the advertised view. ( see my photo of our view)
Because of a vermin problem, no food was allowed in the tent, and there were rat poison boxes outside the tents. I wonder how many animals were poisoned by them.
One plus was the helpful staff, excluding the restaurant wait staff. She was more interested in socializing with other employees than doing her job. I asked three times for cups for our beers, and finally got one, which my husband and I shared! She dropped off someone else’s order at our table while I was up front waiting to order! The food was very good, but because of the poor service, we ate there only once.
I rarely write bad reviews, but I want to help others avoid the mistake I made in relying on the lovely website!
- Martine (10/5): - Great glamping facility. Beautiful views, good food, nice tents with lots of comfort.
- Joakin (6/5): Service moyen !
- donnald (8/5): - Great location. However very hot conditions for tenting.
- Giovanna (8/5): -
- Mary (10/5): - This property was beautiful. The staff was amazing and helpful. This was our first time at an Under Canvas, but we definitely plan on doing more all over the country!!! Highly recommend.
- Renee (10/5): - So peaceful. We absolutely loved it.
- Eric (10/5): -
- Dr. Timo (10/5): Outstanding experience, beautiful nature - Great concept, glamping in a beautiful environment with very friendly staff. Chris Harris was a wonderful host. We will come back. Usually we prefer hotels but this place is hard to beat and our kids loved it as well.

- Nancy (10/5): - We loved the tents but we picked the wrong time of year to go. It was so hot and the fans just didn't do the job of keeping us cool. We would for sure come back but at a different time of year. Everyone was so nice and the tents were beautiful. We had booked for 3 nights but we had to leave and get a hotel. Needed A/C. We did not ask for a refund because we booked thru Expedia and you know you cant get your money back. Please try this place out but check the temperature and go when it is not too hot.
- stefano (7/5): Amazing stars - Bathroom Early check out 10a.m.
- Brad (10/5): - great trip and Canvas outstanding
- GEORGIOS (6/5): - Great atmosphere,very friendly staff,very clean,amazing views
Too hot for August with no AC, a little far from the entrance of the park

- Peggy (7/5): - Slaapbank was ondermaats
- Joe (8/5): - Really beautiful Under Canvas site. They do have a few rules, but that’s OK. For example, you can’t bring outside alcohol or food into the public eating area. And you can’t bring food into your tents at all.
Enjoyed the live music. Scenery was spectacular. Looks like you can even rent some horses to ride.
We went in August so it was pretty hot. They have water misters in the front entrance which hits the front porch and interior entrance. I’ll come back and check it out different time of the year though.
Restaurant staff was absolutely amazing. Big shout out to them. Food was very good too.
- Chiara (8/5): - The location is stunning, offering a unique experience surrounded by breathtaking scenery. The camp provides a wide range of excellent services, and the dinner they serve is top quality.

- Arnout (9/5): - Great views from our tent and the nice ambiance at the camp center. Very nice staff The sofa bed (tent for 4) does not sleep very well
- Barbara (10/5): - This was our first "Glamping" experience. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful in suggesting where to go to rent hiking equipment or fun things to do. The tent was spacious and clean-only wish the battery packs lasted longer. There were ample board games for the kids (their first time playing Scrabble), and the musician added a nice touch as we made S'mores.
- Rico (10/5): - Prime location to access Zion.
- Nadine (7/5): Glamping site without shadows - The Tents are nice and well equipped There is absolutely no shadow anywhere. And they should stop feeding the cockroaches with marshmallows at the fire site.
- Lucia (10/5): -
- Kathleen (10/5): - This was an amazing experience for our family! Everybody should do this!
- Glynn (10/5): Another unbelievable stay at Under Canvas this Summer! - This was our 2nd Under Canvas stay this summer (Columbia River Gorge in June) and Zion in July. It was hot, and the staff gave us a cooler full of ice (great!). The night sky was amazing. Columbia gorge is newer, Zion is closer to the park, outdoor spa/plunge, restaurants. Staff gave great recommendations on dog-care and an amazing spa experience 15 min away. Frankly, I loved our stay so "didn't like" isn't fair..... Food options seemed better at Columbia River Gorge (but tacos great!) if I'm comparing one to the other. We had a great location which was away from the dinner area, and some lights on the ground had been knocked out - this is an easy fix.
- matteblack (10/5): Awesome views and great location - Under Canas are excellent camp resorts.
The cabins are superbly laid out with extremely comfortable beds and great bathroom. While there is no air conditioning (we were there at the height of summer with temperatures in the low 100's the mister kept us comfortable at night.
The view from the cabin was spectacular.
The main service area has a restaurant and bar.

- TDT (8/5): Stunning location, but eat elsewhere - We stayed recently in a stargazer tent with kids tent addition. Despite the heat during the day, the tent had cooled sufficiently that,, combined with the fans provided, it wasn’t uncomfortable and we slept well. Service from check-in staff was good, but the restaurant service needs some real attention. A couple of servers were unfriendly to the extent of being scary, and service pretty much fell apart both times we ate there (eg the eggs from the eggs with smoked salmon came 10 minutes before the salmon did - even though they only had to take it from the fridge, because they said they were busy - so breakfast ruined). I didn’t dare not give a full tip though because of the psycho stares given just for asking for a knife and fork. I have given a 4 star rating (rather than lower) because the location of the property and views are amazing - and the dining might just have been an unfortunate experience so should t put you off visiting.
- Lorenzo (8/5): Great escape for a couple of nights, outside of the buzz and traffic of Springdale and the most obvious lodging options - Location is impressive. Live Music in the evening by a brilliant solo artist (Mr. Charlie OK) who got us in the right mood against the majestic backdrop. A-la-carte food is also great (alcohol selection very limited to a few beer labels). The location also invites you to explore Kolob Rd northwards and discover some enchanting and off-the-beaten-path sceneries and trails The cleanness of the tent was 7.5/10

- catherine (8/5): very nice Hotel but expensive - very nice location, just as we expected, staff at registration could be more friendly ( especially the woman with blue hairs), food is very good and staff at the restauration are very nice
- Jesus (2/5): - This hotel should be closed during the summer if they don't want to invest in Air conditioning for the tents. It is very risky for guests and staff alike to endure such temperatures
- Gabriela (10/5): - The view and experience was amazing. The staff was very nice, respectful, and helpful. The tent was spacious and clean, it had all the necessities for a family. The reception was beautiful at night, a great place to hang out with family and meet new people.
- Anna-Carina (9/5): Entspannte Tage in Traumkulisse.

- H (10/5): - Fabulous place, tents are very comfortable and tastefully done, staff are very friendly and helpful
Only criticism I would have is the food menu is quite limited but it is very nice, and the drinks are quite pricey
- David (10/5): - Beautiful glamping property. The bed was so extremely comfortable, we almost decided to forgo our alarm for an early morning hike.
- Sitadevi (8/5): -
- Abhishek (10/5): - This is a dark site perfect for stargazers

- T2158RUalexanderg (2/5): Very Disappointing Stay - Overpriced and Uncomfortable - I recently stayed one night at Under Canvas Zion and, unfortunately, found the experience significantly underwhelming given the $1,650 nightly rate for a 2-bedroom tent. Despite a decent location and a friendly greeting team, the fundamentals fell very short of expectations.
The bed was uncomfortably firm with low-quality sheets and mattress, and several guests in our group woke up with insect bites—presumably from the beds themselves. Noise from neighboring tents and passing cars made restful sleep nearly impossible. When a car drives up the drive with lights on it lights up the whole tent. The tent lacked basic touches like bottled water at night, and the build quality felt flimsy, creaking with every gust of wind and move. Every time my friend moved in their bed it woke up th whole tent. The amenities were basic with no fans despite high heat, hardly any food (which can't be taken to the rooms) and a bare bones bar.
At this price point, I expected a luxury glamping experience —not a setup that felt closer to a campground. The value simply isn’t there.
I shared feedback with the team but there was no followup. Clearly not a company that cares about the hospitality experience and guest relations. As it stands, we all left feeling disappointed, unrested, and overcharged. This is the first review I have ever written but felt compelled to do so given the experience, price point and lack of from the team.
- Dorothy (8/5): Fun and sassy glamping - Great location with beautiful views. Loved the evening s’mores The flapping of the tents in the strong wind
- Ursula (8/5): Spectacular views, clean comfortable facilities and welcoming, helpful staff. - The view from our tent was spectacular. At this time of the year, it was very hot until around eight at night when it cooled down to a lovely, easy-to-sleep temperature. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were excellent. Our evenings were delightful, sitting outside enjoying the live music, with the backdrop of the beautiful mountains, made the glamping experience most memorable. The unavoidable heat from 9 until late afternoon. We avoided our tent from morning until late afternoon as it was too hot. However, that is the time when most people are out and about exploring the beautiful Zion National Park, so for most, this is not a concern.
- Andrew (10/5): Under canvas brought us a unique experience and access to the park that is less busy but just as stunning with wonderful - Stunning scenery and comfortable, clean canvas. Lots of activities and very good food.
All the service staff were great with a special callout for Debra who was so energetic and fun to get to know.
- Roman Kolbi (10/5): -
- Stavroula (9/5): Unique stay in an amazing location. - Amazing place in a breathtaking location. Loved everything about the place and the meals we had at the restaurant were very good. Although price per night is on the high-end, it was worth the money.
