Julius (10/5): Staying here was an AWESOME experience! - Out of all the places we stayed at in our short trip to Japan, Oyado Toji was THE BEST! It was great finding this guest house at Hotels.com. I would normally find something like this at Airbnb. The ease of contacting the hosts via email is great, however, I would've liked to have met them personally! Staying here was an AWESOME experience! How often do you get to stay at a typical Japanese home in Kyoto?! Although we could hear the neighbors upstairs, we counted it as part of the Japanese experience!! The garden is a peaceful spot, just wished the tree was in bloom! I would definitely want to stay here again and try going to the nearby onsen!! We were so tired from sightseeing that I opted for the bathtub instead...a close enough experience to an onsen hehe!
