meghanw779 (2/5): Beware of bed bugs! - I found bed bugs in my bed when I woke up! It was horrendous and disgusting. My back is full of bites. Nasty! This is a public safety concern and that's why I feel I should say something publicly, to make sure no one else has to go through this!

Trudy (10/5): - It’s maybe a small thing to some but it was a big thing for us; there were no straws. The beds were comfortable and room was clean. There is a lot of light in the rooms due to the tvs having some sort of backlighting that is on even when the tv is turned off. I’d stay here again, but would make a plan to deal with the light and bring our own straws. The room had appliances though we only used the fridge. It didn’t freeze our food so was better than the average hotel fridge. Overall happy with our stay aside from the bright room that woke me up in the night and lack of straws.

The bath was impossible to adjust temperature, only hot water would come out of the tap and it poured slower than cold molasses. The rooms and property were clean and updated which was great, but probably would never stay there again.

Jeff (4/5): Poor customer service, average rooms - Arrived, first room offered, went to and bed wasn’t made, went an md informed front desk lady and she asked if we wanted to make the bed, which we said no of course. Offered new room, new room was good. Breakfast was poor, there was no food point blank. The lady asked how was breakfast, we asked “what breakfast, there is nothing”. Thinking this would stir some action, waited twenty minutes for a restock, nothing appeared, left and went elsewhere for breakfast

Let the front desk know and the comment was we have no more rooms available and housekeeping doesn't start till the next morning. Brutal. Of course no refund. Then go outside and my truck had its contents stolen, along with the fuel siphoned out of my ATV. Never again

doug (2/5): Just sleep in your car if you can. - Stains on the sheets and when I lifted the toilet seat there was blood on it. Slept with clothes on top of covers. Morning breakfast was not even suitable for the homeless. Unsanitary to say the least. For the price paid i was legally robbed.

Scott (10/5): - The room was a fantastic size, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the pillows were great quality, the room was very clean, the television was great quality. This is one of the top 10 hotel rooms I have stayed in while travelling for business. The town does not offer a lot of amenities since it is, a hamlet. There is a subway about a block away from the hotel. If you were travelling through, I would suggest using this hotel, because of what I have described so far in addition to the price being very good.

David (10/5): Hidden Gem - Due to weather conditions, we had to stay overnight. This hotel is beautiful and the service was great. Very clean and up-to-date. The place was completely full however it was so quiet.

kelly0t (8/5): Best stay for business travel in northeast Alberta - I travel for business to surrounding areas and Grassland Ramada is my favourite. Quiet, clean and great service including a wide rage of hot breakfast choices. There is free guest laundry and a workout space.
Ryanblueyes (2/5): Overpriced horrible quality inside - The bathroom was disgusting. The toilet had water stains around it and the shower drain had some sort of brown goo for a sealant. The shower curtain was also broken. The breakfast was terrible, no bowls for cereal, the hot breakfast didn’t look fit for a dog the sausage and bacon was raw I’m pretty sure and the potato wedges also looked uncooked.
Jay_CWilly (10/5): Reasonable, kind, tidy - Reasonable, kind, tidy. Our semi truck froze up and shut of in the middle of the night in -20C temperatures. We had to walk down the road to this hotel. The staff checked us in immediately. Rooms were typical Ramada. Clean, tidy with their normal amenities. If we had a choice, by reading previous reviews, we would have ran the other direction, however, this was not our experience at all.

john (8/5): - Area around the property is in need of tending, not like others ive been to but im not there for the garden. Used the place to stop over when visiting friends, the hotel itself was clean, tidy and presentable. The staff were nice and courteous, the breakfast was good, not overcooked or dry, great choice and plentiful. The room was adequate, there was a dirty mark on the wall but it looked like it had tried to be cleaned, tv and AC worked good room was nice and quiet. Over all a quick but enjoyable stay, will definitely be coming back in the future.

INEZ (8/5): Grassland stopover - The check in was quick and easy. The room was nice, clean and the beds were very comfortable. For some reason there wasn’t any soap in the bathroom and only 2 towels for a double room that is for 4 people. I would recommend staying there.
Korean (10/5): - Clean, very conveniently located and possibly saved my life due to its location. It’s the only decent hotel for two long hours in either direction!

jdelacruz2020 (4/5): INTERNET ISSUES - ONE OF THE WORST IN A RAMADA OR WYNDHAM HOTEL - One of the worst internet I have ever experienced in a Ramada or Wyndham hotel. I had to go down to the lobby to do my uploading of files for work, and even at the lobby, the speed was so dismal, I had no choice and was forced to stay late waiting for my files to upload at the lobby.

She kept talking and I stopped her. I asked if the room had bed(yes), toilet(yes), tv(yes), shower(no), tub(no). Are you sure it doesn't have a shower(let me check). I asked her " Do you mean to say you don't know what your rooms ?" Are you kidding me, staff don't know what the room amenities are. She started mumbling something and I just hung up. Went to front desk about . 5hr later. Asked for a room, she checked me in and Showed me the elevator and I went up to my room. Hot to the room, put my bags down, went to the bathroom and discovered a dirty toilet. Down to the front desk, asked for different room, sent me to another room. Got I the room, put my bags down and discovered a dead fly on the bed. I took a photo, picked up bags and down to the front. Asked for another room. She sent me up to the 3rd room.git in and everything g seemed okay until I checked the microwave. Dirty, dirty, dirty. Food and stuff in there for I don't know how long . Took another photo. Went unto the bathroom , and saw crud on the walls. I give up. Stayed the night. Checked out un the morning and asked to have manager phone. 3 DAYS LATER, and still waiting. Also saw that the hotel does not believe in a lot of sanitation. No plastic bags on the cups, or the glass drinking glasses. Hope head office sees this and responds to me. .

Q5397PLchrisb (2/5): Turned away in 40°C Temps - While taking my wife from Fort McMurray to Edmonton to get some medical testing we couldn't to get in for in Fort McMurray our vehicle broke down in Grassland. It was record breaking 40°C Temps and my wife, five year old daughter and dog, who we were also taking for a vet appointment since we were heading to Edmonton anyway, were turned away because they only accept service dogs. It was an emergency situation in temperatures that can kill and we assured them our small quiet dog would stay in his crate the whole time, but they said there are no exceptions to their policy. In the end after failing to find any other place to go or vehicle to rent ect, we had a friend's mother drive from an hour away to take our dog while his wife said she would come for us in the morning, and just before midnight we were able to check in without the dog. In the morning there was a pet charge on the bill... which they removed, but insult to injury you know? Thank God for the near by convenience store.

jbar2021 (4/5): Would not recomend for the price - I was passing through town, heading home and decided to split my journey in two. I chose not to stay in Fort Macmurray due to the the COVID-19 outbreak. The room was dirty had "fresh" type stains on the floor, and the bedding was also dirty. I should have said something at the time, but I had to hit the road quite early. It is $150 dollars for the night, I expected more for sure. I never ever complain I felt I had to say something here.

3alicat (8/5): Best place in town - This is by far the best place to stay in Grassland, although there isn't exactly a lot of competition. The lobby is clean and the front desk staff are very helpful and easy going with check in and check out. The room was very clean and had all the amenities, and the bed was soft and comfortable. The shower was accessable and included a bench so it's suitable for everybody. The only downside with the shower is that the water pressure is very low and one of the two showerheads didn't work at all. The hotel was fairly quiet, except for at 3am when someone took a phone call in the hall right outside my door, so just be aware that noise travels when you're staying here. There is ample parking especially for big rigs at the the Petro the next lot over.
