• Brett (6/5): Wedding in Berry - The easy access to Berry central and cafe's, pubs and shops. Good onsite parking. Room was sizeable. Paper thin walls, so heard every movement of neighbors. Older style motel, probably time for a refit. For the money need to improve the quality of the services, such as towel and bathroom products, easy upscale these and the whole experience changes....put in a pod coffee machine and the value for money proposition changes!

• Fatma (1/5): Dirty, and unfit for guest - Nothing. The room was not clean to an acceptable standard. There were spiders, spider webs, and dead insects present on the floor, indicating poor housekeeping. This alone was distressing, particularly in accommodation that is marketed as suitable for families. More seriously, the bathroom had no ventilation. As a result, all moisture from shower use was absorbed directly into the room. This caused a very strong and persistent smell of mould, particularly in the ceiling/cavity area, and an odour resembling rot. The smell was overwhelming and made the room feel unsafe and unhealthy to occupy. Mould and excessive moisture pose genuine health risks, and this environment was not suitable for guests. This is not the standard of accommodation I paid for, nor one that should be offered to the public without proper treatment and remediation. Given the cleanliness issues and the serious health concerns caused by the lack of ventilation and mould smell it was unfit to stay in.

Also stressful showering with all the signs and instructions for fire alarms and $1750 call out fees.

The bathroom hasn’t been updated since the 80’s and really needs to be. Climbing into a spa bath to have a shower isn’t great but the place was pristinely clean and it was very comfortable for 2 nights.

The room was clean, comfortable & warm, plenty of towels, coffee, tea facilities, etc, Nice large HD TV & Aircon. Signs warning that bathroom steam could trigger fire alarm, so to keep the door closed & exhaust fan on. It would've helped if the exhaust fan was more capable of removing steam with a larger unit that is not clogged with dust.

Shower pressure was great, along with the minibar fridge and small kitchenette. Beds were super comfortable and were accompanied by nice bedding furnishings. I was awoken at 4:30am on the first night to a grasshopper crawling over my face. It was quite a rude awakening.

• roslynm480 (2/5): Deceptive photos - Very Disappointed Booked king room stairs nothing like the website photos. given another room. When I complained I was told "sorry it's not up to your standard. We wanted to rest after 3 hour journey, we couldn't the carpet was being cleaned next door. TV didn't work. Fee if we don't wash up $40 Steam entering the bathroom sets fire alarm off false alarm fee $1800. Next morning truck arrived to dump mulch on the driveway we just caught him in time or we would have been blocked from leaving We had booked 2 nights left after 1 said they would refund half if they could rebook the room. Ha Ha only one other person staying the time we were here. Deceptive photos beware.

• Jason (7/5): Convenient motel around the corner from main st Berry - The Berry Inn is a standard motel in a convenient location just around the corner from the main st Berry. The room was a decent size and the bed comfortable. Contactless check-in and out was via a key safe.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. For $300 per night at the beginning of winter (ie not high season), I thought that the price was a bit high for what was on offer.

The rooms could have a little bit more decor as it felt a bit bland, but perfect for the price and it was very clean.

It would have been so nice and comfortable to have a flat sheet as well as the wrapped doona. It is not necessary to run the AC all night but as the bedding was uncomfortable that is what we had to do. A top flat sheet would have been great. What was described as a balcony was a landing at the top of the stairs with two chairs and a table. The sound of the adjoining generators would make for a very less than comfortable sit. The venue is very close to the Berry hotel where late night parties and very poor singing were the norm. The kettle was placed right beside the TV and unless it is moved the steam goes into/onto the TV.

Would recommend staying there just for how close to Berry it is and how super comfortable the bed was. There were a few minor issues with the room maintenance and the facilities were a bit dated. However, the room was very comfortable and suited our needs.
