• Joel (6/5): - Good location, beds were comfy Getting the key was annoying was told to go to number 31 but then we were called and had to go to the corner of the street instead, I then had to pay a $300 security deposit through my phone on the street(deposit did get sent back!) Wich i thought was a bit dodgy, then we were shown our room, asked why we needed 2 bedrooms and the bloke walked into the room to show us wich was fairly awkward as we know how to find bedrooms etc lol. Time would be better spent showing how to get in the entrance and where to drop off keys! The room smelt musty and seemed a bit rundown, tv cabinet broken, 1 of the chairs at table was in pretty bad shape as well, carpet was stained and poor condition.

• Carolyne (2/5): Location was perfect, but not much else - Loation Waiting for over an hour to collect keys as phone unanswered, even after leaving a message from the airport advising eta at the flat - multiple contacts asking when we were going to check in even after I had called from UK advising due to Gulf war flights were cancelled and we were coming in 2 days later. I even confirmed in writing and got a response agreeing to the check in 2 days later. Manager even called to ask when we were going to arrive but he had checked us in the day before! Iron not working, no frying pan, no bowls to eat cereal, no teaspoons, no chopping board, no spatula, no dishes that could be put in oven to cook or grill with. Place was less than basic and no way would be recommended. Over priced and under furnished. No instructions in the room to advise how things worked or who to call in an emergency.
• Craig (8/5): Nice location - Our host met us outside the building where we undertook the payment of the $300 security deposit. We were then escorted to the room on the 12th floor after which the keys were handed over and the host left with few words spoken. The apartment was a reasonable size with a separate bathroom, laundry area, and bedroom. There were views out to the south and east which were pleasant. Full kitchen with a large fridge, cooktop and microwave oven. Overall, the apartment was clean and tidy, and everything worked OK. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was usable though with limited bench space. Overall, it was a nice place to stay however there are a few things to note. First the apartment is showing its age in places with for example some minor water damage in the bathroom. In the main this is just an aesthetic issue though the sliding bathroom door does not shut fully because of it. The other minor item was the noise of the building itself which in the mornings and evenings expands and contracts giving small but audible creaks and groans. Initially this can be off putting however you soon get used to it. I want to stress that none of these issues are showstoppers.

Once the host finally left after check in, we were so surprised and totally disappointed that we had already prepaid for an mis-advertised apartment that was rundown, unclean, unkept, unhygienic and putrid apartment. We were so taken back that it was such a modern apartment block with fantastic communal amenities, that the apartment appeared so old and in need of renovation for the price we paid. The bed in the master was described to us as ‘broken’ upon check in and had a putrid duvet which was covered by 2 sheets, not even a duvet cover and the kitchen had no dishwashing detergent, scourers, dishwasher tabs to be able to use the kitchen.

We enjoyed the facilities in the room, I didn't enjoy completing the booking in process on the street outside the building, when there was a lovely foyer inside. We were told there was only 1 key to the apartment

• Shannon (4/5): Has potential to be great but very disappointing - Location is good, easy access to public transport. The gym and pool area are nice and kept clean. It does have everything you need for a self contained stay, but the general standard of the place let it down. We were looking for a cheap accommodation for a week in Melbourne and as a couple we aren’t too fussy generally. Having read the reviews we had already accepted that this is a budget accommodation, so whilst we had some concerns that it had not been cleaned to the best standard, and in general the whole place is very tired, not in the best condition, dirty walls, stained carpets, sofa and bedding etc., these were things we were willing to overlook. However, one night we used the oven and discovered a laptop had been left inside it (not by us) which had started to melt and omit fumes whilst the oven was preheating. We reported this immediately as a serious safety concern and a staff member came to see the property the next morning, and said she would speak to her manager, who was supposedly out of the country until a few days after we were due to check out. Since we checked out of the property we have raised this repeatedly and escalated to booking.com customer service, and we were offered a small discount for a future booking, which we politely declined as we will not be staying again. Since then the property are not replying to myself or booking.com so we have not been able to find a resolution, nor have they stated what they will do in future to ensure the safety of their property. I’m not one to leave reviews but it is a shame that an issue that genuinely could have been quite dangerous has not been taken seriously.

• Charlotte (2/5): I am expecting some sort of refund for the lack of bed to sleep in. - The location was great, the air con worked really well and the water pressure was fab. It was also very helpful having a washer and dryer that worked well. The bed frame was broken meaning that one of us had to sleep on the sofa. The manager was responsive but never around to help fix the problem, but this would require a change of room or brand new bed frame as this one had clearly been patched up before and was now completely broken. I feel that it is completely unacceptable to provide such a bed and when also not fix the problem when found.
• Johnson (1/5): This is the worst short term rental accommodation I have had in over 50 years of travelling. - The facilities provided by the apartment complex were very good (gym, pool and outdoor area) Good location Carpet was disgustingly filthy. Insufficient toilet paper for duration of stay. Instructed to put any more than one bin of rubbish in chute but no bin liners provided. No dish soap, no dish washer soap (there is a dishwasher), no dish cloth, no kitchen sink drain plug provided. Amount of deposit demanded was 50% higher than advised previously by email. Only approximately a third of the TV channels actually were available (no vision or no vision and sound)

• Zodman (7/5): A lot of small issues being fixed could make this place more amazing than it already is - The location was amazing. Apart from access to a gym and pool, there are also great cafe's and shops nearby (some even in the building). I felt safe in and around the building. The bed's mattress was comfortable. The TV worked. I didn't use the kitchen or laundry in the room but it was amazing to know they were there for longer stays. With a Woolworths right downstairs I could see myself cooking meals instead of eating out. The rug was a trip hazard, and I tripped over it several times. There are carpet moths flying around. Several of the power switches were broken and unusable. The bedside lamp could not be plugged in anywhere. Not a good assortment of pillows - they were all fairly flat and I couldn't get comfortable. The bed had a gap between the mattress and the bedhead that required ingenuity to overcome. Some of the downlights don't work. The tap in the kitchen falls off. The shower sprays so much water out of the shower area that the water gets under the tiles and seeps out right where you stand at the sink. The auto-close on the main door is falling off.

Pictures online feel deceiving. - The only good thing about the property was that there is a shopping centre right underneath with a Coles and big W and a few other shops making it a good location I was very disappointed . When we arrived at the apartment had a bad smell, was not clean ( was still dust and grime along windows ) and a lot of items within the apartment were damaged. List of things that were broken - bed , shower head , kitchen tap, blind , coffee table . Even the doonas on the bedding did not have a fitted sheet around it so when both are exposed you can see how gross and stained and cheap the covers are . Beds were not comfy and were broken and dipped in . Took our own pillows thankfully . Looking back at photos online from when I booked the apartment, these photos are taken so that you cannot see the damage . I took photos of everything but unfortunately it only lets me upload 4 here. I now understand why the apartment was discounted , I had read bad reviews but didn’t realise just how accurate they were . Management before I arrived tried to charge me a $300 deposit despite sending me an email about a $200 deposit . Admittedly after mentioning to management that I was very unhappy, they did try to call me to ask if I needed any thing but I chose not to answer because all I actually needed was to be staying in a different hotel and I did not have the funds to book another one . I paid over $800 and I feel as though the hotel quality was that of a budget hotel. I would not ever stay here again.

I have tried over the last couple of months to get the deposit back, and they state that it has been done, but it hasn't! Not trustworthy at all. Room was very dirty. • Diana (10/5): Great location amazing staff - I had an extended stay here of over a month while I was waiting on a lost passport, and I stayed in two different units it was very comfortable! Location was perfect, there’s a Woolies and a big W downstairs in the same complex, a pool a spa and a sauna and the rates I paid were super far . The staff Josie and Parthesh were super accommodating, friendly and nice! 10/10 I had some unique situations arise and Josie was super willing to work with me to find a solution. They also provide a flat rate if you book for longer! Imo it was clean and cosy and the apartment complex itself is super lush! I liked everything! One of the units I stayed in needs some TLC but the building itself is older than 10 years probably so comes with the territory.

• Jon (4/5): Sadly disappointed - Was close to the shops as it's in the same building. And checkout was easy as I could place the key in a return box from where I picked it up Both beds are broken as described in past comments, kitchen facilities are all dirty and heavily used, I refused from cooking. I had to wait for the check in dude to remove an ozone dehumidifier which didn't leave the best smell nor is it safe as there was no ventilation. Internal door to the shops stop giving access entry from both sides at 9pm so it's best to walk around the complex after hours, even though it's labelled as a fire exit... Unsure if it was just a coincidence but my work colleague was bitten all over his legs and would like to not think it was from carpet bugs 😅 Unfortunately for the price I will not be booking back here.

• Michael (5/5): Good location, but property needed some attention and freshening up. - Can't fault the location in South Yarra, Melbourne, which is ideal for exploring the City and beyond. Great size of apartment as well, with 2 bedrooms. Amazing views across the City from 14 floors up. With easy access to the tram and overland train station. A good location for restaurants and bars as well, with all tastes catered for. Only a short taxi fare from the main airport. Apartment could have been much, much cleaner, with far too many carpet stains, and in need a some attention, as the walls also needed painting. No vacuum or cleaning equipment for a 3 week stay was not ideal. It was also not possible to arrange cleaning without an extra charge! Which is odd as a 3 week booking should have some sort of room service. Afterall it is really not any different from 3 individual week bookings, which would have cleaning between each new let. Cutlery and crockery was also old, odd and chipped. Again, these should be checked and replaced, if necessary, prior to each new let. Had to request extra key as well, which also should be available especially for couples and families.
• Doniol (6/5): - The property have a really good swimming pool, sauna, hamam and a jacuzzi, the gym is good, but maybe too little. He’s in the center of South Yarra. The apartment was very dirty, we rent for a week, but we don’t have anything to clean it no vacuum, no dish towel, no sweep, no dishwashing liquid and the apartment have a really bad smell.

There were however issues that need to be addressed with both 1217 and 1218. 1218- bed frame broken making for uncomfortable sleeping. - NO TIOLET PAPER AT ALL ON ARRIVAL in 1218 - bathroom door VERY difficult to close. - Hair dryer does not work 1217- kettle did not work Location and set up was awesome.

Will add to the top of my “to book again” list! 👏👏 - I travel a lot and I was actually impressed by this apartment - not because it was super flashy etc but because it was really great in all other important and fundamental ways. It felt private, lots of space, the shower was great, loved the balcony, the bedroom is like this little self contained cube with glass walls there was something really relaxing about that. I accidently locked myself out on the balcony 🤣 and staff immediately helped, I ended up rebooking/extending for almost an extra week I think. The location too was hands down the best i’ve ever had on a trip, the shops are litterally next door, and i didn’t get a chance to go inside the pool or gym or outdoor area but damn they looked super nice too! Check -in was simple, owner took me to my room and offered a tour. Yeah, weirdly enough this apartment for me topped a lot of others, if not most. The owner respects your space too, as a quiet and private person I respected him for that as Im heavily tattooed and I probably at first appeared as if I would be a problem given the reviews saying this place seems to attract a lot of party bookers - but for a solo female, this place and staff felt safe, secure, there was plenty of room for my yoga mat which was such a bonus! I’ll be staying here again for sure ✅ Would recommend for solo travellers or couples ✅

• Connor_May (7/5): - Fantastic price and access to facilities like a pool Some wear to facilities and walls. Gave the feeling it wasn't as clean as it actually was. Bedroom felt small. Had to shuffle between the wall and bed. Made it a bit difficult to get into bed easily.

The washing machine sounds like jet engine.Building was shaking during severe weather condition and string wind which was my first experience ever to see a building is shaking during wind. I thought it is earthquake until I read the news about wind.
• Luca (1/5): Avoid it. - The place is dirty, but according to the manager you get what you pay for. Left after a few days and asked for a refund, Vogue have ignored me, booking refunded 10% as credit.. wow, not impressed
