- Matthijs (9/5): Amazing stay – they really look after you! - Huge thanks to the manager, Manish, and the whole staff for making this such a great trip. I’d messaged them a few days early about the safari and they actually called me to help pick the best route and get everything sorted ahead of time. The best part was the service when things went wrong. My train from Jaipur was delayed by an hour and a half, and I was sure I’d miss the safari pickup. But Manish and the staff stayed in touch the whole time, made the driver wait for me, and even made sure I’d eaten and had water before we headed out. The safari itself was incredible. Manish told me beforehand I’d see a tiger, and literally 15 minutes in, one came right up next to the car. Because it’s low season and pretty hot, the food is made to order, and it was honestly some of the best I’ve had during all my travels. The Laal Maas and Kashmiri curry were amazing. Even though it was quiet, the staff went out of their way to make me feel like a king, always bringing water and anything I needed. I bet when it's high season the vibe in the hotel is amazing. If you’re heading to the safari park, stay here—they really go above and beyond. The only tip I’d give for solo travelers is not to book too many days at once. Try to see it day by day. I saw a tiger on my first day, so for me it was enough and being flexible to move to the next city was way nicer.
- 998glynj (10/5): An honest review that doesn't expect the world for the cost - We chose the hotel through recommendations from friends? The hotel is close to the national park to where our visit was planned. On arrival we were met by staff. All cases and baggage taken from us directly to the rooms. We stayed in h block and found the rooms to be clean and tidy. Very spacious with great air conditioning and roof fan. The bathroom well laid out with a good rain shower. The rooms were cleaned on a daily basis. Water and other items replenished on a daily basis or as and when required. The restaurants was spacious and well set out with the staff going above and beyond. Hemraj was great. He got to know each of our likes and dislikes and before we knew what was happening, our eating experience had gone from novice to professional with some of the food that was being presented to us was just exceptional. The hotel management team again could not do enough for you. If you needed an ATM for money they would happily jump in a car and drive you down the road. Just please remember this is India. electricity, does occasionally drop out but the guys soon get it back on. The gift shop is great. Even make you a shirt of any material within hours, We recommend the hotel. Yes, 100% the team team try everything within their power to give you a great experience.

I'd didn't work out for us but it was really very kind. At arrival they give us a beautiful neckledge. From flowers We felt save and comfortable The staff,price and rooms is a 10 out 10 It would be better serving 1 or 2 western dishes or less spicy food. In the evening there is nothing to do. Not a little show, music etc The Tiger safari was a big mistake, we went with a couple of families and little children! In 3 hours time we saw 3 birds also living in the Netherlands. The prepaid second safari we skipped, just een waste of time and. The tours were organized by the hotel and it was very disappointing. It's not a safari in my opinion but a bird tour. We have seen al the safaris over the world and recommend kenia Tanzania south afrika Namibia etc. There is a big poster from a tiger in the restaurant so mission completed Nb its not allowed to make pictures inside the park with your mobile phone.... mmm Swimmingpool looked nice but many apes where drinking out of it and what they did anymore,who knows. So we didn't use it but that's just a personal issue. The facilities like birdtour, no entertainment etc I will rate 4 out of 10

Top class food which is all freshly prepared and perfect location in Sawai Madhopur. Cool spacious rooms with aircon and great value for money especially with the swimming pool. Thank you very much.

Complimentary chai and coffee in the mornings and evenings was lovely. The bedsheets could use replacing as ours were scratchy and fraying.

Located in the main road to the Safari, they directly help you book tickets and pick up. Spacious room, quiet, great stay base for a couple of days. It would be great if they could add a coffee ma cine for cappuccino, otherwise all was great.

- Markus (10/5): - Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Das Team war außergewöhnlich aufmerksam und hilfsbereit – vom Zimmer-Upgrade bis zur perfekten Organisation unserer Jeep-Tour zum Ranthambore Fort. Besonders geschätzt haben wir den unkomplizierten Late Check-out, der unsere Weiterreise mit Kind deutlich entspannter gemacht hat. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber, das Essen ausgezeichnet und auf die Bedürfnisse unseres Kindes wurde jederzeit aufmerksam und herzlich eingegangen. Für unsere Morgen-Safari bekam unser Kind eine Frühstücks-Tüte. Glück mit den Tigern hatten wir auch :) Service, Gastfreundschaft und Organisation waren hervorragend. Klare Empfehlung! Absolut nichts!

- Barbara (5/5): Durchschnittlich - Die Angestellten von Restaurant und Küche waren sehr bemüht. Wir konnten am Abend auf Wunsch sogar um eine Stunde früher essen. Das Essen war schmackhaft. Mein Mann und ich buchten eine Massage. Das so genannte "Spa" ist ein Häuschen neben dem Pool, das eigentlich den Charme und die Größe eines Technikraumes hat. Es gibt einen Massage-Raum oben und einen unten. Die Massagen waren unzufriedenstellend, weil es keine Massagetische gibt mit Aussparungen für das Gesicht und auch keine geeigneten Kissen für den Kopf. Die Damen waren bemüht und haben mit Handtuchrollen versucht das Beste draus zu machen. Die Handtücher selbst waren kratzig und nur mäßig sauber. Die Massage an sich war durchschnittlich. Wir haben versucht, einige Wochen vorab die "Morning Safari" über das Hotel zu buchen. Das war nur über Auslandsüberweisung mit Vorauszahlung möglich. Die Zahlung hatte nicht geklappt. Der Angestellte hat dann versucht, uns weiszumachen, dass er größte Anstrengungen gemacht hat, uns die Morgen-Safari doch noch zu ermöglichen. Das allerdings nur, nachdem ich ihm gezeigt habe, dass es über Getyourguide nur einen Klick braucht. Wir vermuten, er wollte extra Trinkgeld lukrieren. Der Rezeptionist war ein grimmiger Kerl, dem nicht ein einziges Lächeln auskam. Der Pool war ehr kühl (im Februar) und das Wasser nicht zufriedenstellend sauber.

- Coastal42741144746 (10/5): Excellent hotel and very good value. - Good location for safaris. Good relaxed atmosphere. Felt like we were close to nature with all the trees labelled for information. Nice and quiet within the grounds. Room had dirt fitting and rusty, but they changed us to a newly refurbished room promptly! Generally very clean and tidy always. Very courteous and prompt service for everything. Very attentive staff. The refurbished rooms in Block H are excellent and large. The cost per night excellent for what you get. Good, clean outside swimming pool with nice sunbeds. Just one comment is that when I had any queries by email, I did not get any reply!!

- costie2013 (10/5): Antonio loves Sawai Madhopur - I can not thank the staff of Raj Palace Resort enough. They have been incredibly flexible with the opening hours of the restaurant, allowing those of us on safari to return to a sumptuous buffet. Dinner has been a wonderful spread of Indian food. The ayurvedic massage yesterday is one i highly recommend. The office/ reception staff are warm and friendly; happy to help with anything ond needs. The Souvenir shop has made me three Indian cotton shirts within a day, at a price that rivals anywhere else i have been

- Dean (10/5): Excellent hotel and staff. - The staff were fantastic,we booked the safaris we went on via the hotel directly, we had to pre pay in the Uk, which was a worry but it all went well. We didn't see any Tigers on the two safaris we booked,so Manish organised an additional safari in zone 4, where we were very lucky and witnessed a mother and two cubs close up. Can't fault the hotel, strongly recommend. Nothing

The room was very nice and comfortable with a cute patio overlooking a garden. And the food at the restaurant was great! Hot water 24 hours.

A miserable stay in cold temperatures - Very Bad Experience – Not Recommended I had a very bad experience at The Raj Palace Hotel, Sawai Madhopur. The stay was extremely uncomfortable, especially because there was no hot water available for bathing, even though the temperature was around 12°C. Despite informing the staff, the issue was not resolved properly. Taking a bath in cold water in such cold weather is unacceptable and shows a lack of basic facilities and guest care. Hot water is a basic necessity, not a luxury. This completely ruined my stay and caused a lot of discomfort. For the price charged, I expected at least basic amenities to work properly. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially during winter.

- Victoria (5/5): Hotel is okay, we felt a bit uncomfortable staying here when we were unable to book our safari though them. beautiful lo - it was a nice property. we could relax by the pool. the restaurant and bar were good and they also played a tiger documentary in the evenings. We were unable to book our safari with the hotel last minute- telling us there was no certainty we would get a place but we wouldn’t get our money back if that was the case. we had to book with another company which was disappointing. we felt as though we were constantly being monitored by the staff which made our stay slightly uncomfortable. and our bathroom was extremely stinky

- John (3/5): Do not book in winter or if you want to sleep at night - Clean rooms pleasant staff very helpful manager who had no hope of sorting the problems due to the lack of foresight in the construction of this new hotel Rooms and dinning area freezing cold ,NO HEATING Showers run cold after a few mins Too noisey at night was unable to sleep, doors constantly banging other guest allowed to make a lot of noise until the early hours We left after a few days because there was no way that the noise could be reduced due to there being no let up in the noise level and no heating This is in my opinion a poorly constructed property with na acoustic insulation
- Milou (10/5): Amazing! - We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. What stood out most was how well they accommodated my severe gluten allergy — they were very thoughtful, proactive, and even prepared separate dishes for me, which I truly appreciated. The accommodation itself is a great place to relax, and the food was absolutely amazing. Highly recommended! Once again, the staff and the accommodation were wonderful. One thing we would do differently next time is booking the safaris directly. We booked them through the hotel and ended up paying significantly more.
- Roam13608810463 (10/5): An excellent introduction to Rajastan - Very good two nights at the hotel. Clean and comfortable. Staff all friendly and ready to help. The range of food was very good with a buffet style assortment of local dishes. I would recommend and definitely revisit.
- Krzysztof (10/5): Najlepszy gospodarz Pan Hemraj! - Z całego serca polecam ten hotel wszystkim podróżującym z dziećmi! Nasz pobyt był naprawdę świetny, a to głównie zasługa Pana Hemraja. Pan Hemraj robi absolutnie wszystko, aby każde dziecko było najedzone i szczęśliwe. Specjalnie dla mojego syna przygotowywał posiłki, które nie były ostre i idealnie trafiały w jego gust. To niesamowite, jak bardzo dbał o zadowolenie całej naszej rodziny. Dzięki jego zaangażowaniu i trosce mogliśmy w pełni cieszyć się wakacjami. Panie Hemraj, jeszcze raz dziękujemy za wszystko!

- Scott (7/5): We have lots of positive things to say about our stay at the Raj Palace. - We have lots of positive things to say about our stay at the Raj Palace. Its location is great for access to the park zones 1-5, although we would say manage your expectations of seeing tigers there as we never saw any. The grounds of the hotel are nice and include a swimming pool, a garden to relax in and a shop with beautiful gifts and tailor made clothing. The hotel organise events like a tiger movie night. The buffet had a range of options for both veg and meat dishes. The staff really worked hard to make our stay the best it could be. They were always happy to help, especially Manish, who went above and beyond to help with all our requests and even went to the market to get us a mosquito net. The room was very spacious and the welcome we received upon arrival was very warm. A big thank you to you all.
- Sally (9/5): A restful, characterful and lovely hotel. - Very helpful staff. Manish was always around and helped us book things. It was a low key but lovely place to stay. Supper in the evening was very atmospheric as was the bar. A nice pool too. Very happy indeed.
