Guest Reviews
- Brian (2/5): - My stay there was horrible, very nasty, not clean it all. The tub drain was messed up. No remote to the TV. No towels or linen that were clean. They looked very nasty. Only had one pillow on the bed. The bed coverings had cigarette burns
- Brittany (4/5): - The property was bad holes and poor patch work. None worked toilets. Mold in the bathroom. Tried to get a different room and was offered an uncleaned room and another room that smelled like cat pee and then another room with another none working toilet.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Nay! Nay! I won't Stay! - Well, we booked this hotel on the idea we had stayed there before; we were WRONG!
We booked for a king size bed, but were told upon checking in that room was under construction and were given two queens.
The tub looked dirty from years of use and had a black looking mold around the top next to the wall.
There wasn't a remote for the television. We were on the second floor on the corner. Upon using the stairs you could tell that it was a pretty old structure. On the balcony at the corner our room was at there was a depression top the top plate of the railing and I thought that the wood was rotted away, but on further exam I could tell that it had been on fire at some point.
If Rodeway Inn was my business I would be ashamed to have this motel flying my corporate flag. It felt like a condemed building that they were renting rooms out of.
- alain (2/5): - Personal good but establishment not as advertized. Breakfast not included.
Room smell bad, no pillow, no mirror, no garbage can, light not working over the zink as well as the plug, no remote control for the TV, air conditon not working. This place should be close. It's a dump. I wouldn't sleep there even if it was free
- Mark (2/5): - Place is a dumb nothing like pictures online it’s a place for the homeless No TV remote so no TV Can’t get xtra pillows Wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy
- Terry (4/5): - Staff was great but the room was another thing. Bed sheets was dirty one towel no wash cloths broked night stand from wall ,bath tube I would not step in ( Needs Replaced ) room walls and Celling needs Painted wall not too bad floor and bed good . Pillows too small and Flat.
- CYNTHIA (2/5): Never again - Very unclean. No water at 1st. Tub hadnt been clean for long time. No towels or soap. Had to go back down for towels soap & remote. No ice on site. Plus had to pay $50 extra for deposit. Which we got back next day. Room was very very unclean
- Mark D (2/5): - This place is situated between two gentlemen’s clubs and the west and tear on the beds, walls, fixtures, bathrooms are atrocious. The first night I stayed there the heat didn’t work at all with high 20s outside. I changed rooms and at least the heat worked but one weir pillow on the bed, hardest mattress I‘ve ever slept on in my life, and people coming and going all hours. Barely slept the two nights I was there. Avoid if at all possible.
- Carlos (8/5): Almost excellent - I saw a little cockroach inside bathroom. Everything else was pretty good.
- James (8/5): Not so great - Friendly staff, non smoking room had deep smoke smell, cigarette burns on tub. Asked for towels, never came. Roku tv, pain to set up, no coffee in room, no bfk. Dresser in room missing 2 drawers. People talking loud outside room most of the night. Rough
- Stacy (2/5): - It was disgusting, no need to say more.
- Jerry (2/5): - Nothing good to say about this hotel i cant believe the county hasn't closed it yet.
- Lorenzo (4/5): - It wasn’t cleaned good at all, it was roaches in the bathroom
- Eric (4/5): Filthy - Filthy, run down, noisy and unsafe
- Angela (4/5): Save your money not worth it - Meth city.. Loud Dirty towels were stained comfort level was a zero
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This is a truly disgusting place and it is a disgrace to be under the choice hotels brand. 1. Not part of the review per say, but please note the hotel is right next door to a gentlemans club. We checked in, and were honestly already slightly concerned from the conditions of the 'hotel' outside and some of the people hanging about. We got into the room and were immediately hit with the smell of smoke. It was like being inside a giant ashtray. Also, their were burn marks in the bedding, on the tub, the bathroom floor, the counters, etc. The bathroom also had a pair of dirty socks behind the door. Also, as a bonus at the top of the stairs around the corner from the room was vomit. Anyway, my daughter has smoke allergies so we went back down to the manager, Polly. *also note this is advertised as being both smoke and pet free. I asked for a refund and was told and shown an actual sign that says no refund after 10 minutes. I reminded her we had just checked in. She said, no it has been 14 minutes. After explaining about the allergy- and the man that she had just been talking to about teaching his dog to open the door for him after being locked out when he left the room due to someone trying to steal his bike- she offered another room. The other room was equally disturbing. We actually took pictures in this room. The smell was equal to the first room, but also had a faint skunk smell. I went back to Polly and told her we could not stay!!
- Jeremy (2/5): Crazy crooks will charge you twice - I paid through hotels.com website. When I arrived at hotel they insisted I did not pay through website and I must pay to get my room. So I paid again but was suspicious. In the morning they refused to give me a receipt claiming the system was down. I was charged twice.
- Shellie (4/5): Displeased with overall experience - I was very disappointed for being charged twice for the room. Hotel.com 57.50 and Roadway Inn 47.30. This was just a pain and no convenience at all, as I was getting a room for my sister who was kicked out of her home.
- Yull (4/5): DISSATISFIED - I went to check in the guy was not like in work attire. He gives me a room key and the room had no tv and used bath towels on the beds and the paint was falling from the ceiling. I go back explain to him he said ok I’ll get you another key. I go to the room to open the door it wound open. That cool 15 mins of my time waiting in the cold so he Gives me another room well thank god for finially getting a room but when I walked in burn holes in the Comforter the wall have dirty finger prints, the carpet was so BLk the carpet was like geen but it looked blk to me. It used to be cleaner than that remember people COVID is going around!
- Jonathan (2/5): Was very displeased. But staff was courteous. - Room was dirty bathroom smelled horrible. Room was dusty triggered daughters asthma. There was a fast food bag under one of the beds with garbage in it. And a half drank bottle of Gatorade. Clerk was polite when I went down to office to checkout and request refund
And there were three younger guys by the backsteps smoking something other than regular tobacco. Garbage scattered everywhere.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The pictures didn’t reflect the actual property or the rooms. Everything was sub-par compared to what was shown online or expected for this chain.
- Kellie (4/5): don't stay here - This place was really disappointing. The room was supposed to be double queen and in was double full size beds. The bathtub had a layer of filth in it, the toilet didn't work well, there was only one bath towel, there was graffiti and cigarette burns on the microwave, furniture was broken, the fridge didn't work and smelled terrible, the room smelled strongly of cat pee-- basically, everything was old, busted, stinky, and stained, and if it weren't so late when we checked in, we would have left-- and this is coming from budget travelers who are used to staying at shabby budget hotel rooms.
- Donald (6/5): A place to sleep ! - Well to start the room had one washcloth and one hand towel that was severely stained . Also there was a piece of bed frame sticking out on corners of bed that me and my sister hit our leg on . Left a mark on both of us ! And it's nice and convenient for strippers at club nextdoor ! Witnessed several women coming thru bushes to meet guys and then go back thru bushes ! Wow more than I wanted to see!
- Leslee (2/5): Nice managers, bad rooms! - Management was very nice. Hotel was quite terrible. Cigarette smoke and loud voices permeated through the walls. Banged my legs on bed frame. Old uncomfortable beds and pillows. Manager gave us a “better” room second night. Still bad. Needs repair. Grout lines stained, paint chips, dirty carpeting. Sorry! :-(
- Verified traveler (4/5): - very difficult to find - has a severe lack of signage to find motel - property is in disrepair. - no lights on building that helps on find the building.
- John (2/5): This room stunk - I booked a non smoking room, but it didn’t smell like it. The smell was so bad I had to go get air fresheners to cover up the smell. There was burn marks in the room. The room was not clean. Lots of little things missing. Would not recommend
- Jessica (6/5): Just don't - This place....smh
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. The motel room was nothing special. We found hair ties, USB ports and a few other things in the sheets. The door lock was previous busted in. The motel is next door to a strip club and we watched the strippers bring men back after close. The “breakfast” that was included was a powdered donut and cold coffee.
- David (6/5): Don't waste your time... - When I walked into the lobby, there was an overwhelming smell of marijuana... probably not the BEST thing to smell. Then the beds were uncomfortable and small for queens (doubles more like it). We almost fell iffba couple of times, because the beds were falling apart, and ALL the towels smelled like cigarette smoke. I won't be back.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Not clean WiFi didn’t work writing on the mirrors burn marks every where
- Charles (2/5): - Very dirty. Staff is unfriendly. Do not stay here
- Juliet (2/5): - Needs work and staff needs to be a little bit nice
- Ronald (4/5): Needs some work - Noisy traffic in the area. Some idiots driving motorcycles fast in the parking area at two in the morning. Not really a family destination. Plumbing leak around base of toilet. The appliances worked and the lights did too, but we were disgusted by the linens. Weird looking bedspreads and pillow cases. The room immediately gives the impression that it could use more cleaning. If I ever had another reason to stop off in that area, I would sacrifice convenient location for a more suitable hotel. At least the price wasn't bad, but you barely get what you pay for.
- Angie (4/5): - Smell of mildew and feet, sheets dirty and burnt, heard a fight next door, light flickered on and off the whole night... waited 25mins for a lady to come give me a receipt as she sat on Facebook..
- PRADEEP (2/5): - Please do not go hear with family. It is noisy, smells bad and there is some night club right across.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Found a bed bug
- Verified traveler (4/5): - wifi very difficult to connect to, and when it did there was no internet connection
no free breakfast as advertised
no coffee machine in the rooms
room in serious need of an update;
*tub marked and grout black
*single pane windows allowed too much noise
*musty smell - needs to be aired out
this was a bare minimum
- Sis (2/5): DONT STAY HERE! - The room had stains on the carpet the air conditioner was broke, mold in the bathroom and sink, mattress has stains all over it, and there was a cigarette burn in the sheets. DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Gross - Towels and sheets were dirty, bathroom light didn’t work, and couldn’t turn on the shower completely. I do not recommend.
- Ronesha (2/5): - Service was horrible room was horrible front desk beer got back with us to confront our concerns was not happy at all
- Verified traveler (2/5): Stay away! - This hotel was filthy. We contacted Hotels, com suggesting they do not offer this hotel as an option, it was not up to Hotels.com standards. Along with the filth, the heater didnt work, internet didnt work, continental breakfast was coffee, bullet proof reception desk; just avoid this place!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Rodeway - Average hotel, good value for the money.
- Jeremy (8/5): - I enjoyed the room, it had the refrigerator and microwave. The flat screen tv was a nice size. I had no issues at all and would stay again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good place for the price
- Samantha (6/5): Not again! - I was happy with the closeness to the highway. I was truly disappointed with the cleanliness and conditions of the room. There was no ice bucket and you may have to ask for a coffee maker at the desk because there may not be one in your room. I understand it was a cheap hotel, sleep and leave but I think they could have at least had one decent pillow in the place. I did see another guest demand a refund and refuse to stay. The staff was friendly though.
- Daniel (6/5): Pro's & Con's - Pro: Bed comfortable, no bugs; hot water, plenty of towels & soap.
Con: Zero chairs in room (told desk, none showed up); iron, but no board; coffee pkgs, but no brewer.
N/A: TV, dunno if it works (didn't try).
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I couldn't get cable to work on TV and called front desk and guy never came to room
- Roy (4/5): Simply terrible - First room given was not made up and one of the beds was broken and leaning against the wall. Second room carpet was visibly dirty around the base of beds and along walls. Bathroom tub was so stained it looked dirty. Did not shower. I was too tired to change room or hotels so I stayed.
- Murnzie (2/5): Rundown bad hotel in the middle of strip clubs - No coffee pot in the room, dirty room, television had 7 channels - no local channels, no espn, no hbo, all were promised on the guide in the room. Room tto the ice machine was closed off due to fresh paint.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Not quite a place to kids stay with you.
