• Alejandra Trujillo (10/5): - Es un hostel cerca del centro, en una excelente zona, en ciudad de Guatemala, las habitaciones son limpias, igual que las instalaciones, son amplias, con varios espacios para socializar y una terraza con una vista linda, el desayuno es tipo buffet, delicioso. Los baños cuentan con shampoo y con jabón líquido, algo que no se ve en todos los hostales. Ningún comentario.

Shuttles pick up directly from the hostel. Big lockers beneath the bed. luggage storage in between stays is unfortunately quite expensive.

• Viena (10/5): Well-located stay with friendly staff and a great breakfast in Guatemala City! - We had a really great and comfortable stay at Tequila Sunrise Hostel. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help us with special requests, which we truly appreciated. The location is excellent and made it easy to get around the city, and the breakfast was also very good. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Guatemala City!

• João Goulart (9/5): Boa opção em Cidade da Guatemala - A localização é muito boa, com fácil acesso ao aeroporto e zona histórica. O café da manhã é variado e você pode se servir à vontade, a internet funciona bem e o ventilador no quarto atendeu adequadamente. O quarto é com carpete e há um cheiro forte quando entramos. Depois nos acostumamos, mas sugiro avaliar a sua retirada. Não há muitas opções de restaurante, supermercado ou padaria na região. A equipe, no geral, trabalha bem, mas é de pouco contato com os hóspedes.

Love the location, close to all the restaurants I love and in a very safe area. The bed was comfortable, the shower good, breakfast was AMAZING, the area to meet people super nice and the host very friendly.

• Ingrid (7/5): Okay stay for a couple of days. Perfect location, good value - Breakfast was repetitive but really good. The location is perfect to explore the city, plus there are nice restaurants and areas to walk nearby. The value is great if you are in a budget. It gets too hot and smelly in the shared rooms. An AC could really improved the very crowded conditions. The bathrooms need improvements and better cleaning.

• Patrick (10/5): - Great place to stay before flying out of La Aurora. I purchased a private suite, however, open bunk and shared facility are available. The property is within 100m of shopping and dining, with secure entry.

Decent breakfast (excellent pancakes!) , very helpful staff who gave me suggestions of (cheaper) local buses to avoid the more expensive shuttle. Our room had a slight damp smell. Not very strong and we managed to air it to our satisfaction. Not the hotel’s fault but the nearest place to change dollars (Banco Industrial, 3 min away) is extremely inefficient: it took us the best part of 30 min to change 500 dollars (the max this branch changes) and they rejected a perfectly crisp 100 dollar note. We later went to a different branch of the same bank (7 street, zone 1) and were able to change 1,500 dollars (that branch limit is 2,000!!) in 5 min and… the note rejected by the nearby branch was accepted with no questions whatsoever!

Gemaild, geappt en via booking een bericht gestuurd om een transfer te regelen maar geen reactie gekregen. Bedden roken niet fris.

• Jerry (10/5): Excellent Value - We stayed in a private room with a private bathroom. Excellent value! I travel to the city a lot and often for only one night so I can fly out early. I was staying in Zona 10 and the hotels were $100+. The room at Tequila was small but not much smaller than same of the $100 a night rooms in some Zona 10 hotels and some of the Zona 10 hotels have very little space in the rooms for your items. Tequila had places to put some of your things AND a refrigerator and microwave. It was very very clean and we were even given a choice of the room that had our preferred bed firmness. The breakfast is basic but good and if you want something different there are numerous restaurants close by. I like the area better than Zona 10 except at night don't wander away from the business areas. All the staff was helpful and very friendly. If you need a safe, clean no thrills (no hot tubs, pools), inexpensive place to stay this is great! This will now be my go to location. This really isn't a complaint as it's more of a heads up. It's close to the airport and in the flight path. During the night I didn't notice anything but very early in the morning the jets were really loud along with normal city noises. It was about average for sound proofing. If there is someone in the next room you know they are there but I've had much worse. Also, I have stayed in hostels before that guests were really loud but I never noticed any noise from the other guests. If you are a light sleeper a cheap set of ear plugs at night should fix any issues. My girlfriend is a sound sleeper and didn't notice any of the above issues.

Todos llegamos en direferntes horarios. Muy cansados. Porfavor tomar en cuenta eso. Y más ventilación para los zapatos huele mal, la habitación siempre sucia.

Las instalaciones son perfectas para lo que uno necesita: limpieza, comodidad y buena ubicación. Está cerca de muchos lugares para conocer y a distancia caminable, también es fácil pedir algún otro medio de transporte. Cerca de tiendas, bancos y todo lo importante a la hora de llegar a la ciudad.

• Albarracin (8/5): Buena relación precio calidad - El hostal cumple con todo lo que puedes necesitar: agua, desayuno, toalla, baños e instalaciones limpias y buena ubicación La habitación compartida con 14 personas tiene camadas cómodas y en la litera está lo necesario: ventilador, luz y conectores. Lo malo es que si alguien se mueve toda la litera completa se mueve, lo que es incómodo y difícil de poder descansar adecuadamente. También la habitación está cerca a una vía principal así que hay bastante ruido

El personal fue muy amable, nos permitieron dejar nuestras maletas por un buen rato después de nuestro check out sin ningún problema.

Al menos en las habitaciones de la primera planta, se escucha todo lo de afuera y viceversa. Además, no tuvimos instrucciones claras para el check-out a pesar de haber anunciado que saldríamos antes de las 7 am. Tal vez un poco más de detalles en ese último punto habría sido muy bueno :)

Onze kamer lag naast de receptie met alleen een enkel glas raam er tussen waardoor we overlast hadden van de receptie. Rond 00:00 was het stil.

• Michael (9/5): A Nice Place to Stay - A good location in a safe neighborhood. Also convenient to the city center. The hostel itself had a very social atmosphere. The kitchen area was large, allowing several people to cook at the same time. The breakfast was plentiful, with many items to choose from I can't think of anything that I didn't like.

• Gloria (7/5): Estancia aceptable para una noche - El Hostal tiene muy buena vibra, está bien ubicado, tiene centros comerciales a 15 min caminando y a 5 minutos de restaurantes y un supermercado. La ducha se encharca hasta 2 cm de alto y eso es desagradable al bañarse. Se lo comenté a la recepción y la sugerencia fue levantar la rejilla del desagüe, lo cual no le corresponde hacer a los huéspedes, ni es sanitario. El desayuno estuvo muy bien, pero podrían hacer cambios de menú para no comer lo mismo todos los días.

• Gerald (8/5): - The hostel is located in zone 4 and in medium walking distance to downtown (zone 1) as well as the PohVul museum in zone 10. Else, call an Uber to take you round for a few quetzales. Walking during the day felt safe and the hostel itself is gated. A nice breakfast buffett is served daily at 8am. The bunks are pod style with a curtain by the feet, a sufficient size locker and a blanket. There are several different bathrooms and hot water showers. To top it off, they have a fabulous terrace to chill in the evening and watch the area. Make sure to check out Mano’s coffee place right next door as well as the pedestrian road by via5 in zone 4.

• joha (10/5): Clean and good breakfast start trip in guatemala - I recommend it. It's a clean place. I'd prefer the shared beds on the second floor because there's more airflow, but the ones on the first floor are fine too. It's very clean, has a great location, the breakfast is a buffet and delicious, the terrace is lovely, and you can easily meet people. The best option to start and end your trip in Guatemala.

Somit war es sehr laut. - zu teuer für den Standard - Frühstück war nicht gut. Während wir auf der Terrasse gefrühstückt haben, vielen Wandreste der Sanierung vom Nachbarhaus auf unsere Teller

• Pollyanna (7/5): Incredible free breakfast, a bit expensive for what it was overall but a very nice welcome to Guatemala. - The staff were so friendly and help you practise your Spanish :) super informative too! Oh and the free breakfast is incredible. I didn’t love the smell in the room - it needed to be ventilated because it smelled a bit like sweaty feet!
