Guest Reviews
- Mary Ann (10/5): Comfortable - Cleanliness and the smell not like the other hotel keep it up The check out time ,we checked in late we should have time to check out a bit late also even just 1 hour extension from the usual check out time

- Ruben (9/5): - The Aspen staff did not receive the Booking.com reservation but provided us with a counter reservation and did not charge us the rack rate. They were very helpful. We made a reservation on Booking.com and received your confirmation email. At the hotel, the front desk could not find your reservation. In order to check in, we had to create another reservation directly with the hotel. We requested a cancellation of the Booking.com reservation but was denied. We have appealed this decision through your process and are awaiting. The failure of your reservation system communicating with the hotel is not a failure on our part. We expect a reversal of the charge by Booking.com
- zacharyhV1972BR (10/5): Fantastic - Excellent comfortable kitchen suite with a full size fridge with freezer. If you are here to fish this is your hotel. Conveniently located near the airport. Longest drive to a fishing location is 45 minutes to cowee creek.
- tonymA2722DZ (10/5): Definitely recommend - Amazing customer service. Clean rooms, very spacious. Small kitchen, with full-size fridge. Perfect for a small get away

- Amy (10/5): - Staff was very helpful with dining and shopping options.
- merrilynb2019 (10/5): Perfect - The Room very clean, and the Bed was comfortable. I was Able to regulate room temp as I pleased. The Front desk staff were polite and friendly. There was a nice assortment of teas and coffee by front desk.
- Skfroman (10/5): Clean, friendly and the best choice in Juneau - After doing extensive research on lodging options in Juneau, I truly believe Aspen Suites Hotel stands out as the best choice in the area. The location is incredibly convenient—just minutes from the Juneau International Airport and with easy access to all the main roads. Whether you’re coming in for sightseeing, business, or outdoor activities, this hotel serves as a perfect hub. We drove by the Super 8 and the Wyndham Travel Lodge and each looked sketchy.
Juneau doesn’t have a wide selection of hotels, and Aspen Suites clearly sets itself apart. It was, by far, the cleanest and friendliest property we encountered. The rooms are well-maintained, and the staff does an excellent job keeping everything spotless. One of the big advantages is that the hotel offers air conditioning—something not all places in Juneau have, which can be a big plus during the warmer months. Also the Kitchenette allowed us to shop for food and save on “eating out”.
The hotel also features a large, clean, and well-equipped laundry room, which is incredibly useful if you’re on an extended trip or coming back from Alaskan adventures in need of fresh clothes.
The front desk staff was helpful and courteous, and while the building has three floors, there are elevators and multiple luggage carts available to make check-in and check-out smooth and efficient.
If you’re visiting Juneau, I highly recommend considering a suite at Aspen. The extra space and amenities make a big difference, especially after a day of exploring. Overall, this hotel delivers comfort, convenience, and great service—all at a very reasonable value.
- Paul (8/5): - Great hotel - very clean just not shuttle which makes the .6 mile trip to airport very expensive - More then $25 each way.
- MARIANNE (10/5): - Staying at this hotel, I felt safe and there is plenty of parking. The building is secure and the staff onsite was amazing. They answered our questions we had at check-in.
I will stay at this hotel again in the future.
- Maximo (10/5): Love it. - Comfortable bed, quiet room and area. Will definitely stay here again.
- Lesss (9/5): -
- Maximo (10/5): Friendly and Welcoming - Comfortable, convenient, friendly staff. Will definitely stay here again.
- Susan (10/5): - Very happy with stay! Clean, quiet, very walkable, airport within blocks!
- Ken (10/5): - N-a
- Billy (10/5): - It was nice and clean
- 846sarahjanek (10/5): Friendly/Clean - Staff is very friendly and helpful. Hotel was very clean. The kitchenette is nice, with a stove top, microwave, and fridge.
- William A (8/5): - It’s a good place to stay. Convenient and clean. Had a great time.
- 564franniem (10/5): Enjoyed it! - Great hotel, it was walkable distance to airport. We had a super comfy suite!! Hotel was clean and staff was super friendly!!
- Kritika (10/5): - We stayed at five different hotels over two weeks, and this one was by far the best!!! The room was incredibly spacious and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. Having a full kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and all the essential amenities made a huge difference – it was perfect for preparing our own meals and enjoying a relaxed, comfortable stay. We especially appreciated the separate dining and tea tables, which added a cozy touch and made the space feel more like a small apartment than just a hotel room. Moreover, Free and convenient parking. Couldn’t ask for better. Highly recommend this hotel.
- Wladyslaw (8/5): - Very convenient - close to airport
- Anupama (6/5): - The hotel needs to have more amenities such as water bottle refilling stations, snack bars/ pantry for the guests as these things are fairly common in other good hotels. The closets are in the bathrooms which is not suitable as the moisture from the shower makes the clothes damp.
- rlgsgi (10/5): First trip to Juneau - The property appeared to be either new or recently remodeled. It is located less than five minutes from the airport. Tony and Noel were wonderful hosts. We stayed for six nights in late July, 2025 and would highly recommend this hotel for either a short or long stay.
- Maria Ranilena (6/5): - N/a
- Explore562652 (10/5): No problems - We arrived late after a delayed flight and no hassle access was arranged for us. Rooms were clean and spacious and the group rate we got was fair. Will stay here again if opportunity arises.
- Ellen (5/5): Clean but not helpful staff - Had laundry facilities but no way to get quarters to run machines. Suggestion was to go back into town 20 minutes. Also could not give any suggestions for walkable restaurants even though we found some
- Trip11758714087 (10/5): - The room was spacious, clean comfortable. We enjoyed the full size refrigerator and the kitchenette area. I also needed to do some laundry so we found the laundry room to be clean as well with nice fairly new looking machines. The fitness center for me was good although the TV didn’t seem to work.
My only other critique is that it’s close proximity to the airport and the tour helicopters taking off and returning can get a little noisy at times
- ronsanders (10/5): Aspen hotels Juneau, amazing front desk staff! A+++ - My company has three team members up here every month for the duration of the summer cruise season. I was recommended to deal with Tony, at the front desk, by the team proceeding me. I’ve been here for three weeks and I have to tell you, what a top-notch guy! Is always ready with a smile and definitely on top of helping us out with packages and mail that gets delivered as well as any issues with the hotel itself. Keep it up, great job!
- Cheyane (10/5): Don’t hesitate to book this hotel! - Finding the right balance between luxury and affordability is always a challenge, but safety is always my top priority. As a solo female traveler, I’m constantly on edge about my safety. This hotel exceeded all my expectations! It had all the amenities you need, plus more! Having a full-size refrigerator and a kitchenette was a huge plus. I was also worried about the potential of the dreaded scratchy sheets, but they were surprisingly soft and comfortable. A huge relief! The coffee was even great! Although there’s no restaurant on-site, I ordered a delicious chicken Caesar salad from Juneau Pizza through DoorDash, and it arrived in just 10 minutes. It must be nearby because of the quick delivery. This hotel wasn’t exactly luxurious, but it was almost half the price of the Marriott! I’ll definitely be staying here again!
- Stephanie (10/5): - Staff were very friendly and rooms/bathrooms were clean. Beds were very comfortable. Location was convenient to the airport. Not a big deal, but trading out dirty towels for clean towels was a little inconvenient, especially if I didn’t remember to do it before leaving for the day and getting back late.
- John (6/5): - Room was way too hot. No cooling available.
- johnbR1741ES (10/5): Great stopover in Juneau. - Super clean. Brand new. Super nice...well situated. Comfy beds. Great price.
It was a very quiet location. Easy to find. Queen bed with a pullout and kitchenette. It was well stocked for utensils with a very close grocery store.
Thanks for the great stay!
- Goeldner (10/5): Exceptional -
- FNPinKnox (8/5): Nice and clean - Clean and Nice hotel. Each room has a suite with refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and hot plate. Staff friendly. Very close to the airport. not sure if they have an airport shuttle would stay here again. Good coffee! We also, love Grandma’s Feather Bed!
- Tom (9/5): Very nice. Worked out great for us. Have stayed there before. - Convenient to airport. Away from downtown and the gobs of tourists. Convenient places we wanted to visit.. The McDonalds which is a short distance away is a joke. Reasons? Not a good place to eat...
- 41laurely (10/5): Exceeded Our Expectations! - Our entire experience exceeded our expectations! To begin with, the room was actually 95% wheelchair accessible! (We fly a lot, and, honestly, most are only about 65% accessible...) The hotel was very clean, with attractive, functional decor. The front desk employees were all more than accommodating, especially Noel, who we actually observed for over five hours, as she was kind enough to give us a late checkout, and let us wait in their lobby, because our flight didn't leave until evening. I was very pleased to see that whether the interactions were with guests, employees or vendors, she treated them all with the same empathetic kindness. In my opinion, she was the epitome of customer service - cheerful, knowledgeable, and helpful, even driving a fellow employee to pick up a prescription, on her break!
- Jeremu (8/5): - .
- IowaState1979 (10/5): Clean and quiet hotel near the airport. - This is very close to the airport and not near downtown. Cab fare to downtown is about $30. The room was less expensive than staying downtown so we stayed here before and after a cruise. Worked out great. Quiet and clean. Would stay here again.
- Alexander (10/5): - Clean hotel, nice staff, full size fridge and little kitchenette is very convenient, plus plenty of parking. Lovely stay.
- lavarjohnson (10/5): Great Stay in Juneau, AK - Great stay in Juneau, AK. The Hotel which is not far from downtown Juneau, is located near the airport and close to the supermarket & gas station. The staff were professional & accommodating. The rooms were clean, spacious and nice. I recommend staying at The Aspen Suites when visiting Juneau, AK. Great Stay!
- J1195YWrachaelh (10/5): Great stay in Juneau, Alaska - A comfortable stay in Juneau, Alaska. A warm, late night, welcome, friendly and accommodating help throughout our stay. A clean and cozy space; with a well-appointed kitchenette, sitting and dining areas. Nice touch, enjoyed the hot tea and coffee in the lobby and in my room. Thank you for a great stay!
- nathanel (10/5): - Full kitchenette and comfy arangements
- M5689QQjenw (10/5): Best stay in Juneau - Hotel is the cleanest one I’ve seen in Juneau. The staff is wonderful and the coffee is really good! Not the brown water junk you get at other hotels. Even cooler it’s made there in Juneau! The laundry room is spacious and clean and the little gym is perfect to fit in a quick workout.
- 368dinahh (10/5): The room was spotless. - The room and hotel were spotless. Both D. and N. were helpful and accommodating. The sheets were the best. The hotel was close to the airport and close enough to the high school. There was a high school group staying there as well, and the hallways and rooms seemed soundproof.
- Matthew (10/5): - Very clean. Very friendly staff.
- jerrypG7782LK (10/5): Best hotel stay ever! - Staff are friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were fantastic! Quiet location. Great place to stay and conveniently located close to the airports, food, shopping and other amenities. Nice and clean laundry area as well.
- A5766IUjayp (10/5): Cost is long forgotten but quality of Aspen suites remember for ever - Excellent customer service . Very clean property . I recommend to stay at Aspen Suites . - S7351KEmarkt (10/5): Diamond in the rough - This is a sweet little hotel close to airport and on the main drag to the valley or down town. The staff is super. The rooms are very nice, with kitchen, nice bathroom, and comfy bed. There is a kind of curfew after which you have to have security let you in, but he does. It is my stay of choice when in Juneau. Grocery store across the street gas station right down the road. No really in tourist or commercial area but easy access to all.
- Sallysmith12345 (8/5): Good - The sofa bed in room 125 had dirty sheets on it. The sofa bed was uncomfortable and old. Other than this unlikely feature the room was good. The staff is amazing. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. That was scary. It was cold out. We had no real direction with what was going on.
- aliciabK3687AW (4/5): Annoyed - It would have been 5 had the fire alarm not woken me up at 2AM.... I didn't get to fall back asleep after that and it was a very long morning/day. We never got any answers as to why it went off, either. It went off THREE different times.
Today a 2, but normally a 5.
- J1195YWrachaelh (10/5): A cozy, comfortable stay in Juneau! - Friendly and helpful confirmation, reminder, and pre-check in messages! We appreciate the early afternoon check in. The lobby and in-room Heritage coffee was a nice touch. Superbly clean, comfortable inn. Spacious rooms. Ample parking.
- Q4171GOshannonr (10/5): Highly recommended - The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming! The hotel manager Desmond offered top-notch hospitality. The rooms were clean and comfortable and they are very quiet. It was a wonderful experience. What a great place to stay. highly recommended.
- Sandra (8/5): 2 Star Fabulous With A Kitchen - Weird lobby it's off to the side when you enter. Anyone can come off the street and access the elevator to the rooms and not be seen. The room was worn and needs updates. The dresser drawers were broken. The bed was comfortable but the blankets were thin and no additional provided.
- Samantha (6/5): - The aspen is ok. The fact that it is so expensive makes me think there are better places to stay that have a restaurant on site & a shuttle to & from the airport.
- D4631SNtimothyr (10/5): Cozy Space - Quick, easy check in with polite staff. Room had amazing amenities including comfortable bed with great pillows, clean bathroom with spacious tub/shower, good soap, shampoo, and conditioner, awesome towels, nice little kitchenette. Easy check out.
- R3972EXkimberlyr (10/5): Great Stay! - Check in and out was quick! All staff I encountered were helpful. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the hotel overall was clean. Pics accurately depict the room. Recommend the Aspen for those looking for a great hotel and good stay!
- Ed (10/5): - Often in Juneau on business and Aspen Suites is always our first choice!
- janaleeg2024 (4/5): NO BATH SEATS ON SITE FOR DISABLED TRAVELERS WHO NEED ONE - This is a very clean and good hotel if you are able bodied, and don't mind waiting for the hot water to come in 15 minutes after you turn on the shower. I timed it the second day.
if you are disabled and need a bath seat, be aware that they appear to not have any on site.
I am very disappointed that, in 2024, I still have to worry about having an accessible room as a disabled traveler.
I arrived at midnight on December 2nd and went straight to bed, only to realize that I would need to request a bath seat the following day. The accessible room I was given had a bathtub but no bath seat. As an amputee, I need a bath seat to safely use a tub or walk-in shower; these should be available in every ADA-compliant room. While the shower had accessible railings, it did not have a bath seat. I cannot shower while wearing my prosthetic leg.
On the morning of the 3rd, I requested a bath seat by phone while at my conference. When I returned to my room that night around 6:30 PM, I stopped by the front desk to inquire about the bath seat. I was informed that they did not have one available but had placed an order for it.
Since I am here for an entire week and unable to shower without a bath seat, I had a co-worker drive me to Fred Meyer, where we couldn't find one. We then went to Home Depot, where I had to purchase a $60 chair just to take a safe shower. This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and it reflects poorly on your facility. The manager should have sourced a bath seat and placed it in my room before I returned, rather than staff being dismissive and saying, “Sorry, we can't help you.”
The ADA law has been in effect for 34 years, and I should not have to go out and buy a chair for a room that should already have one available.
I was unable to send this in an email because it required an itinerary number, but all I had was a confirmation number. The system wouldn't let me send the message without that number. This seems counterproductive, so I'm posting this for everyone to see.
- davidfC2670UV (10/5): Excellent experience - Everything was easy, clean and comfortable. The staff was courteous and helpful.
Everything was as it should be and in the proper place.
It was 9 degrees outside and the warm and welcoming.
The vending machine was stocked and worked great for a late snack
- William (8/5): Great! - This is a pretty good hotel for Juneau. It is clean and safe and the rooms are spacious. The mattresses need to be replaced and an airport shuttle would be so helpful, but it’s a good value for the money and we will stay here again.
- moninay25 (10/5): Baby Shower Event - The venue is nice for small parties and events. Had room to decorate and hotel was able to provide tables and table cloths. Able to arrange seven tables and there is a lot of room for food. Which we’re able to accommodate about fifty plus people.
- Richard (10/5): - Close to the airport
- Boyd (7/5): Good -
- Duane (10/5): - Very clean and friendly staff
- G6836FBpaulb (10/5): Very clean - Our room was very clean and quiet, desk staff was helpful and provided extra coffee when we ran out in the room. Check in and out was quick and easy.
I was very pleased with the stay when compared to the stays at two of your competitors for similar business trips.
Highly recommend
- John (10/5): - V
- Katherine (10/5): - It was great
- Kelly (8/5): - Hotel was clean and quiet. Staff was polite. Nice place to stay in Juneau
- Maride (10/5): - Staff what friendly and accommodating.
- Timothy (10/5): - Everything was easy from parking to check out. Room was nice with everything in good condition. Had Bible in nightstand!
- Guy (10/5): - We had a late check in and went very smoothly.
- Lucy (10/5): - Clean, quiet, easy parking, friendly staff.
- Judith (6/5): Okay hotel but damn sketchy location. - Nice, comfortable, large rooms, good bed, clean. Decent mid-range hotel. Kind of a "Super 8" type property. Quiet, not much noise except from airport traffic - runways are just a few blocks away. Bad location! Lots of vagrants/unhoused people in immediate area (surrounding woods, etc, littered with trash and camps). Parking lots were NOT well lighted, did not feel safe to walk dogs after datk. My car was rifled when parked by designated "dog area" which is behind building and where I was told to park. Don't park back there!
- Jim (1/5): Bad -
- Barbara (8/5): - It was so good! The only improvement I would like is the entrance doors were not automatically opening and closing. This made a difference with my two bags and I was traveling alone!
- Mitchell (10/5): - It is under renovation in parts of the hotel but it wasn't anything that bothered me
- Craig (8/5): - Very nice and clean hotel
- Linda (10/5): - Enjoyable stay. Staff was very helpful!
- Vicki (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sean (8/5): - The TV didn't work and couldn't be repaired till after I checked out. Otherwise it was very comfortable. Room was clean and comfortable. Walkable to the airport if it's not raining.
- Angela (8/5): - We've stayed at the Aspen Suites several times now and, each time, it has been quiet and clean. The only thing we would have liked is if there was a shuttle that goes from the ferry and airport. Thank you.
- Nancy (8/5): Very good -
- Gary (10/5): - Hreatplace to stay. Best on area.
- Stephen (10/5): - About a half mile from the airport so I could walk to it as I had only a backpack. Hotel was very clean and modern and staff very friendly. The only downsides are there is no airport shuttle and places to eat are about a half mile away. (Again, no problem if one is able to walk and it is not snowing.)
- Wess (10/5): - Great for what it is
