- Abraham (10/5): - We had a great experience. The staff was kind and very attentive. We felt safe and enjoyed the privacy of being in a Villa. If there was an issue, It was resolved quickly. The views are absolutely beautiful and worth it!
- Michael (8/5): - Room was clean and beautiful and the staff, although small, was very helpful with anything we needed. The grand room was really nice and comfortable. There was some noise from the water taxis and some music playing around town but got quiet around 10p. The small village of Boca is quaint, quiet and mostly working class and felt very safe to walk around. The restaurants near the hotel were very reasonably priced and some of the best food on our trip. If you want fancy, tons of amenities, and shopping, maybe try elsewhere. If you want to get away from hustle and bustle and slow the pace down this is a peaceful spot. Felt like we were the only guests most of the time. Water taxi to Yelapa waterfall was one of our highlights. We also did a snorkel excursion to Los Arcos and drove over to El Tuito for its botanical garden. I would definitely return to this area. The locals were very friendly and polite. The pool was a great and not crowded at all.

Espacios comunes: Baños muy sucios, sin servicio de alimentos y la salida al mar muy sucia. No tiene playa privada y es muy inseguro, cualquiera puede entrar al hotel desde la calle. No es en ningún sentido boutique ni luxury.

- Lisa (10/5): Romantic Getaway - Our visit at Villa Armonia was just what you could ask for a couple get away. It felt like the place was for ourself. Very cool place with tons of sitting and hanging out areas to just enjoy the quit atmosfar and the amazing view. with just a few steps you reach the beach with cute local restaurants.Take the boat taxi to different beaches or hike along the cost. It's an amazing adventure. If you want another cool experience , please visit The Restaurant Le Kliff for both a dinner and a different restaurant experience. Thanks Villa Armonia for letting us stay at your beautiful and well maintained place. The Hotel is cooperating with a private airport shuttle , Please connect with Christian , the best chauffor it's safe and a very pleasant ride.

- Candi (8/5): - This is such a beautiful property and the view is incredible. We could see whales quite often and it is so relaxing watching the boats come and go. There are a lot of steps at the property and to get into town. The elevator is broken which I'm not sure how long it has been broken and when it will be fixed. This is good to know if you have any issues with many steps. The staff is amazing though.

The property itself feels like a constant work in progress, with regular renovations and construction as they build out the space. The chef and kitchen staff are professional and skilled and you should absolutely eat there if your schedule allows for it.

- Heidi (10/5): Great stay! - Great stay! Bed was very comfortable, views were amazing, and everything was meticulously clean. Part of the charm of this place was the bougee slightly outdated furniture. We had a fun photo shoot exploring the place. We had dinner at Le Kliff around the corner, and this was the perfect place to stay so we could enjoy our entire experience and not worry about drinking and driving. The hot tub could have been a bit warmer but otherwise the visit was perfect. We felt like we had our own villa as there was only one other couple on the premises. This is also a couple miles from the Botanical gardens which had an amazing restaurant and some great easy hiking trails, and about 20 minutes from the PV Zoo and Mismaloya . Awesome are to get out of the city!

- manuel (8/5): - The property is beautiful but needs some fixing inside the rooms as the water was leaking and the bugs were always inside.it says it’s a luxury villla but the repairs it needs doesn’t justify the price. It’s also probably not best to go in June as it is the rainy season and the water tends to get murky in the river. The beach is accesible and there are plenty of water taxi options. It’s only about 30 minutes in a car from puerto Vallarta which is nice. Overall the property was ok.

- SIMON (4/5): 30 mins taxi to Puerto Vallarta - The most important thing to realise with this listing is that it is not where it shows on the map on its listing, nor where the 'get directions' button in the app shows. It is in fact 20km past Puerto Vallarta. The property are aware that there is a problem with the listing and said 'yes, some of the online listings are wrong' when I called for directions. You would think they would get that fixed or at least call it out in the description. The extra 30mins in a taxi doesn't make this a viable option if you are looking for somewhere that is in walking distance of Puerto Vallarta. Having said that, the position of the property is overlooking a stunning bay and the panoramic view from the suite is quite fabulous. The property itself is a bit dated but the layout of the suits and communal areas are very well done. Breakfast was nice (shame it wasn't included in the room price) and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There were privacy curtains, but nothing that blocks out light so you may want to bring an eye mask. There is a restaurant in the bay which I could hear from the bedroom although I did go to bed early having been on a bus for 9 hours that day. Ultimately I only ended up staying here for one night because I wanted to be in Vallarta as per the listing. So my overall experience wasn't great, but the place itself was very nice. If you are going to end up in somewhere remote then I can think of far worse options that this.

This time we loved #8 (Nautilus Suite) which is dog friendly and has a full semi outdoor kitchen. The owner/manager couple are fantastic and live on the property.

- Steve (10/5): Spectacular Views/European Boutique Hotel Feeling - It's a small, owner managed hotel built on a hillside overlooking an inlet and village. Every suite has a different view and decor-all good, some very large. Common areas are beautifully appointed and include a kitchen and two pools. This is our third stay over several years and it never disappoints.

- Kristi (4/5): - I booked our visit many months in advance. The pictures at the time of booking included several beautiful fountains, breakfast included, and beautifully set dining tables. The property was unique and impressive but damaged from the recent hurricane. We messaged in advance to ask if the property was damaged and we were told it was “almost back to normal.” There was broken glass visible on the pathways and we did not feel safe using the pools. No option for food, water fountains not on, water features not working. Broken windows and no Wi-Fi service in town for dining nearby for credit cards. We are very sad the area had been hit by the hurricane but we would not have gone if they had described the situation accurately. In addition my son became ill. ( No fault of the Villa.) We left after one night. We did not ask for a refund. If the Villa had been in the condition as shown at the time of our booking we would have loved it. Our suite was beautiful and the person who was working there was very nice.

- Tammy (10/5): - I had a wonderful stay at Villa Armonia. The staff was especially friendly and helpful and my room and the grounds are beautiful. A quick walk down the hill takes you to the beach where you can catch a water taxi to many other gorgeous beaches. It’s also a quick walk to the Boca de Tomatlan trail head which is a must do hike that happens upon several secluded beaches before arriving at Las Animas where all the action is. I would definitely stay again 😊

- Holly (10/5): Quiet town with beautiful views. - We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was easy to get to off of the main road going into Boca de Tomatlán. If you want to stay in Boca to visit Quimixto or Yelapa, this is a nice place to stay to beat the rush of people from PV. The view from our hotel was amazing. If it wasn’t for the clouds, we would have had an amazing sunset from our balcony (in March). I recommend walking down to town for some tacos and cafe de olla for breakfast. We didn’t see any evidence of the provided breakfast.
- Rosario (2/5): - El lugar esta muy alejado, sin opciones para comer en el lugar, el desayuno que se incluye en la reservacion es en una palapa en la playa lejos de ahi, tiene uno que acceder a los comercios locales para alimentarse, los cuales no estan cerca, siempre hay que tomar taxi y no hay transporte, no funciona el aire acondicionado, aparte de que esta aun en construcción asi que hay trabajadores en la villa, el agua de las albercas muy fria, esta muy caro para lo que oferta, terminamos buscando otra reservación cercana y perdiendo nuestro dinero

Francisco checked us in, and was very accommodating, but there was a different guy the next day and he had a terrible attitude, my husband and I got back from breakfast and headed to the pool at 11:30am he chased us and told us that we needed to leave the property because checkout was at 12:00, I said to him that it was 11:30 and he said yes, but you need to leave!

- O (10/5): - My husband and I stayed at Villa Armonia for 4 days. It is a very nice property surrounded with the most beautiful view imaginable. This is a great place to get away and just read books, fish, swim, eat. There is no nightlife here and no shopping surrounding it. It is a very small town but the locals make it very welcoming to anyone staying there. We rented a boat for a few hours and the man who took us was so nice and easy going. The cost is very affordable. The whole Vila only has less than 20 rooms so it felt like we had the pool and hotel to ourselves the whole trip even though it was booked up. I hardly ran into anyone. I think next time we book the Villa we will be bringing our family and book it all up. Great location to get away to just relax. It was about 30 mins from the zona romantica. The drive was off the coast so it felt short. I would book again.

- Patrick (4/5): Not Up To Level It Should Be - Room was advertised as a suite with sitting area that included couch, love seat, coffee table. They replaced all that with a bed (we only needed one bed and chose this room to use the seating area). We were disappointed. Changes need to be reflected on websites. No refrigerator in room, so had to use community fridge in main living area, and someone stole our 6-pack of Coke and 10 bottles of Club Soda. Management was gracious enough to give us 2-liter bottles of each even though it wasn't their fault someone stole it, but if management provided a fridge in each room, wouldn't be a problem. Last night of 4 nights, power went out due to fire on telephone pole across the street. No back-up generator at hotel, so we had no air conditioning (it was 87 and humid) and no shower water. Had to leave for airport next morning after no sleep and no shower. Over-all the hotel is beautiful and design is unique. Location is fun. However, fountains were never turned on (or water falls), and the restaurant was closed due to COVID even though website said breakfast was included each day. It was obvious they were winding down for the rainy season and didn't had a "end-of-year" attitude. Over-all were were disappointed.

Was told It would be fixed that day. Didn’t happen. We got moved night 2. Water got fixed but employee told us incorrect information on how to work it. Restaurant so so for breakfast. Server mixed up food on three out of three tables. Bianca suite is beautiful if everything works. Beautiful balcony. Really breathtaking. Manager should have bought us a bottle of wine or offered us a free breakfast. No go. Won’t be back.

The main pool was extremely dirty and Frank explained this by saying that the maintenance guy did not show up that day. I then had a shower which resulted in a flooded bathroom. This was quickly attended to by the staff who mopped up the mess but left the saturated shower mats and towels on the floor. We then went out for dinner and returned about two hours later. Another shower attempt resulted in another flooded bathroom floor. A third attempt in the morning and another flooded bathroom was just too much for what is advertised as 5 star accommodation so we decided to leave and find alternative accommodation. We both work in the hospitality sector and appreciate that things can go wrong. However, Frank responded by questioning my integrity and not accepting responsibility for the poor quality of product/ service that we were offered. He did this on a repeated basis from the safety of his keyboard and did not take me up on my offer to meet him face to face. He even denied the third bathroom flooding even though I took photos to illustrate. A terrible experience and I will not be back or recommend to others. Things can go wrong but if you do not have the courage and respect of your guests to admit the shortcomings then you rank pretty low in my character assessment. Frank even attempted to address his staff in front of us which was extremely embarrassing to say the least. Enough said!

- SarnBains (10/5): - This property is amazing for a romantic getaway. A beautiful mansion perched on a cliff in a bay, with a small authentic fishing village below. The owners are super nice and helpful, and we had a very spacious private suit with 180deg views. The room was like a presidential suite on a luxurious cruise ship. We enjoyed wandering down to the village and having some authentic tacos with some roosters running around. Overall, everything was perfect. On one hand, I highly recommend this place, but on the other hand, I want it all to myself and don't want other people to find out about it lol. Definitely going back to spend quality time with my wife.
- Susan (10/5): Luxury in Boca - Luxurious Villa!! The view from our room, the panoramic suite, was stunning! The suite was gorgeous- super comfy king bed , and the bathroom!! Well the view from the bathroom was equally spectacular. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub- the gardens and outdoor area was lovely. The included breakfast buffet had a good variety and delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This villa is a def return for us, we only stayed for one night- definitely not long enough. We visit Puerto Vallarta each year and this year decided to do a few nights in the surrounding areas as well, so glad we did. Boca de Tomatlan is a lovely village and only about 1/2 hr from PV, by bus or water taxi- both are easy.
