- Metka (4/5): Glass wall bathrooms should not be allowed in hostels - Convenient location to metro and some nice streets The dorms are converted hotel rooms, the bathroom in the room is made of glass partitions with only some curtains offering privacy and the glass does not even go to the ceiling so you can hear and smell everything when someone is using the bathroom. In addition the shower and sink leaked in our bathroom so during my stay the bathroom floor constantly was covered in puddles. The mattress is a very soft spring mattress that has already caved in so you will feel every single spring in your back. Not much positive to say about this place overall except that you can get your water bottle refilled with drinking water at the bar.
- ShabnaM (9/5): - The hotel staff were very kind and helpful. The hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The location was relatively good, and it was about a 15-minute walk to the metro station. The hotel also had an elevator, which made getting around easy and convenient. This was the only hotel during our trip to China that did not provide drinking water. We had to get water cup by cup from the bar, which was a bit inconvenient. Also, the price was slightly high compared to what was offered.

- Wendy (10/5): - Sonderias is a great place to get English support from very friendly staff and to use as a base to explore Chengdu. Wenshu Monastery is just a short walk away and you can wander along the river at night with locals. There is a metro stop just around the corner for easy access to the city. The hostel has different activities at night so you can mix and meet other travellers and locals. It also has great live music every night. Thanks to all the staff!!

The staff was there to help and provide nice information, thanks Laura! The guys at the breakfast are a bit forgetful and they serve a terrible coffee.

Possibilité de faire des visites et des activités J’ai bien aimé le quartier Le bar de l’hostel est très agréable, il y’a des live music le soir et une bonne ambiance également ! Les locaux sont un peu datés. Le lit était assez mauvais et grinçait à chaque mouvement. La salle de bain était souvent sale et la douche fuyait donc toute la salle de bain était tout le temps trempée. Les parties communes sentaient un peu la cigarette.

The staff is sooo friendly and helpful and their English is excellent!! The draft beer was delicious and the in house food menu was great!! The kids got to try calligraphy which was a bonus! Great place for young and old alike, singles and families! Everyone was made to feel welcome! If we ever come back to Chengdu this is the place we would stay! The bathroom in the room could use a refresh and the shower leaked when being used and got the whole floor in the bathroom wet.

The beds are a bit noisy and shake if the person on the top bunk moves. Could use a bit more detailed cleaning (dusty) I was a bit unlucky with roommates.
- George (7/5): Nice place considering price. - It is a comfortable place. You get what you’re paying for. Nothing luxurious, rooms can smell a bit, but beds are comfortable. Staff are very attentive, especially Bobo who helped me out a lot. I didn’t like that the staff were constantly asking for you to leave a review with their name. It makes you feel uncomfortable and makes their kindness seem fake. I also thought it was weird to advertise free coffee, but then it costs to add milk? So it’s free water and coffee granules?

Always a pleasure talking to the staff and other guests, it was quite easy to meet guests and locals who attended the bar, live music. Hostel has a proper bar full of delicious drinks! Always live music with very talented locals. The rooms and common areas are kept clean and comfortable!
- Merel (8/5): Good stay with a lively social vibe - Good location, walking distance to the metro and plenty of food places around. We took the metro in the morning to People’s Park, nice place to see all kinds of local life and activities. Wenshu Monastery is also within walking distance. First place in China where every staff actually spoke English, which was pleasantly surprising. Staff were nice and helpful too. They also had free activities planned, but sadly our schedule didn’t allow us to join any. Nice bar area with live music at night. Food was tasty too. Even though we didn’t really join the activities, it still felt like a good place to meet people and chill in the evening. Only small downside for us was no water in the room, but you could get it from the bar or there’s a 24/7 shop open nearby.

Loura the receptionist was AWESOME. Super sweet, easy to communicate with, overall just super nice. Only problem was the bath was a little dirty + I had a hard time finding towels.

Le staff de l’hôtel était adorable, particulièrement Jenny qui était très à l’écoute ! Il y avait plusieurs choix pour le petit déjeuner et les pancakes blueberry étaient vraiment délicieux ! Le grand plus est qu’il n’y a pas d’heure maximum pour le prendre (donc pas besoin de se réveiller trop tôt!). Le rapport qualité-prix est excellent. I love that we could have our meals anytime during the day. Special thanks to Jenny who is super friendly and helped us arrange certain uncommon needs :) We had to spend some time in transportation because it takes around 30 minutes to get to any of the three train stations we used: Xipu, Chengdu East and Chengdu South.

We stayed in a 4-person all women dorm with two bunk beds and a shared bathroom. Beds were a bit creaky. Lockers were provided but no locks. Hostel could do with posting rules for late comers/early risers (eg. no overhead light or using hairdryer after certain hours).

L’hostel propose à boire, à manger, un petit déjeuner qui est bon et des activités. La salle de sport ne fonctionne pas très bien et n’est pas entretenue. Le wifi ne fonctionne pas même avec VPN

- Jan (10/5): 10/10 can recommend! - I really liked my stay here! The location is super convenient: 4 minutes walk from metro (line 17), 3 minutes walk to Walmart or bus stop directly to the Panda Base and Wenshu Monastery is only 15 minutes walk. The place is clean and had everything i needed, even plug reduction! Staff is kind and helpful and the bar in the lobby really nice to meet new people or just have a drink, listen to live music and chill.

There were evening activities available. The laundry room was really handy. The cocktails in the bar were lovely.

Specially the young musicians sing in very beautiful voice. I felt like in the dream...Through this travel I thought that Japanese people have to become more friendly with neighbor countries. None
- Edrei (10/5): Hotel estupendo y con todo lo necesario. - Habitación en hostal, cómodo, limpio y con todas las instalaciones necesarias. Ubicación correcta. Los trabajadores aportan toda la información necesaria previa para llegar al hotel, lo agradecimos enormemente. Además ofrece un servicio amplio de actividades tanto dentro como fuera del hotel. Amabilidad y facilidades por los trabajares inmejorable. Repetiríamos sin dudar.

Laura was lovely and very caring about her guests. The location is close to the metro and I definitely recommend it. I’d definitely come back. -

We also found bugs in the bed, and there were many mosquitoes and other insects in the room
- GianlucaFV (10/5): Exceptional! :) - Asbolutely recommended, beautiful room compared to the price, with comfortable bed and a bathroom with a separeted shower from the toilet. All the staff speak english, you have a bar at the reception, with free coffee, I had the best espresso in China! I had a wonderful stay here!

- Caroline (9/5): - Ich bin zum Zweiten mal jetzt hier im Hostel und kann es nur empfehlen! Wir wurden von Laura sehr herzlich empfangen, das ganze Team ist sehr bemüht, dass man einen schönen Aufenthalt hat. Die Lage ist auch super und das Hostel bietet abends mit seiner Bar einen gemütlichen Ort für ein paar Drinks.

- Alessia (10/5): - The rooms are quite big compared to the standard and we got a free upgrade of the room (the one we booked was without window and we got one with it). The staff speaks English and is very kind, I recommend it! The bathroom could be improved, as already suggested to the staff.
