Guest Reviews
- Nicki (10/5): - Hosts were so friendly! Beautiful property off the beaten path; nice rooms and great food!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was a FABULOUS stay! We were a little nervous driving down a 3 mile stretch of chat road, but boy was it ever worth it! The B&B is beautiful, with flowers everywhere and a comfortable deck overlooking a pond. The first thing you notice driving up is the solar panels and greenhouse; very self sufficient! Views of the mountains from our room on the second floor were great too. The place is spotless, with big comfy beds, a common lounge/living room on our floor and we had a grand spotless bathroom attached. The owners were able to get us a room with a pull out couch for an extra bed, although we hadn't booked it. And fast wifi included. A super price for all this!
Great people! When we showed up, they were cleaning fresh picked blueberries to make jam the next day. Breakfast was included and unbelievable. Fresh baked muffins (she likes to bake - Win for guests!) and eggs over easy (my way), potatoes, toast, and sausage. With orange juice and great fresh coffee. I cannot say enough good things!
- Ryan (10/5): Family Farm Getaway - Fantastic place, feels like home. Great deck to sit on in the evenings. Out of the way and quiet. Hosts were wonderful.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Remote place from the highway, 3 mile of gravel road drive to the property. Owner guy is rude, lazy and moody. Guy did not offer breakfast for the family on 2nd day and very pushy to checkout around 11am. Not kids and family friendly place at all.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice, quite location. Short drive to town of Talkeetna. Accommodations were very good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Talkeetna gem - Wonderful B&B - we really enjoyed our stay. Vern and Emy were great hosts and very accommodating. Beautiful views, comfy room, delicious breakfast.
- Dan/Belinda (10/5): - We were made very comfortable. Food was excellent and the hosts were very nice. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and we would definitely return again.
- Morrisons (10/5): - My husband and I were looking for an authentic Alaska experience and we found it at Falcon's Nest B&B. The owners are friendly and went out of their way to be of service to us. The house and the rooms were clean and comfortable. They served homemade jams and jellies along with fresh potatoes from their garden and homemade biscuits at breakfast. We would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Falcons Nest B&B is a fairly new B&B. The house is large, clean and the beds comfy. One cannot fault them in any way in these areas. However, it leaves a bit to be desired in the B&B world, even in the rugged, out of the way Alaskan style. While there is a picture in the description on hotels.com of the garden view they boast, understand this is an actual somewhat maintained garden not the “garden” one might think of when visiting most B&B’s. This is not a pretty flower garden that you may stroll though and take a seat to relax. While a true food garden can be pretty this is not for your enjoyment. It’s pushes the envelope a bit much to claim this “view”. To the side of the house off the decking is an unkept pond one would not want to meander near. The front of the house has a wooden walkway that is in need of much repair and paint. A section of the railing is missing and when raining can be a bit slippery. Watch your step. The “view” from the front walkway is a surprise - you can view several old, rusting, non working, dilapidated, regular and farm vehicles right next to house as well as out a bit further. Again, you do not want to walk in this area. Yes, it is quiet and serene but the description is a bit lacking and much work needs to be done for the price being charged. In time with some clearing and upkeep outside as well as some decorative touches inside this could be a lovely, charming farmhouse B&B. The young lady who welcomed us was very kind, helpful and attentive.
- Poorva (10/5): - Emelyn and Peregrine were amazing hosts. They made us extremely comfortable. The room was very clean and cozy. Their house was lovely and we spotted 2 moose around their properly which was a good treat :) Emelyn served us a delicious breakfast of egg omelet, (handpicked) blueberry pie and coffee rhubarb cake. She checked with us on our dietary preference in advance which was really kind of her. If we go back to Talkeetana again, we would stay there for sure.
- randy (6/5): - Owners were friendly and helpful. Clean room, good breakfast.
Alaska, access by dirt road, no tv, low water pressure.
- Edward (10/5): - This was an amazing place to stay. A short drive to Talkeetna and amazing hosts at Falcon’s Nest. The hosts were welcoming and very friendly. The breakfast was delicious and was everything you could want from a home made meal.
- Greeshma (10/5): - Nice cozy house. The breakfast was excellent. The host was very friendly.
- Becky (8/5): - Not exactly what we expected. It is off the beaten path, which is good, and very quiet. Lovely garden, and it is apparent they are still putting together the whole B&B experience. Comfortable room.
- Nina (10/5): - It was very far back on a gravel road and our gps couldn’t find it. That’s the only negative.
- Lorenzo (8/5): - Peregrine was a nice hostess. Room was bigger than expected. Had some problems with hot water in the shower, but not a big deal. Best value in this location.
- Bhaskar (6/5): Experience of staying at Falcon's Nest B&B - Ok for 1 night stay. We somehow didn't feel at home. Also, this place is in such a remote location....road leading to the place (last 3 miles) was pretty bad. There was no wifi available.
- Blair (10/5): A Fine Place to Stay. - We had a fantastic time. My girlfriend in particular went crazy over the strawberry and raspberry patches! Lovely house outside of Talkeetna.
- Anwesha (10/5): - Felt just like home.. it was very comfortable stay and the owners were so friendly. They served us hot yummie breakfast by themselves.
- Jodie (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay here! Emmie and Vern were amazing and made us feel very welcome. The house and rooms were very clean and comfortable! They even let us wander into their berry patches and pick fresh strawberries to snack on. Breakfast was delicious, Emmie makes all her own jam and we tried all 5 kinds she had out! Thank you, we will be back!
