Guest Reviews
- Alyssa (10/5): - Great property. Very clean.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Reunion stay - Hotel could use some updating. Furniture was worn. However, the beds were clean and comfortable. Very quiet location.
- John (2/5): - Got there at 10:20 PM and the office was closed. Had to find a hotel late that night. Not a happy customer.
- Don (10/5): - Considering the age of this motel, the beds wete very comfortable and the towels were so soft. I'd give it a 10 abd diffently stay there again. The cost of the room was very affordable.
- Fred (8/5): - Unfortunately, due to weather, the area lost power just after we arrived, and was not restored until midnight.
- Christopher (6/5): Give ut a miss - The room was fine
No WiFi it was rhere but TOO WEAK to connect to upload or even down load. The Pilot service centre 500yds away was just ok to read emails.
The squeaky voiced remote like 200yds away office lady was only interested in social chat to a man. She couldn't find the expedia reservation. Charged more only a few dollars but enought to not want to return.
Signage to office was lettering next door to a waffle house that closed at3pm. Not good for customers to dind.
- Charles (10/5): Great spot at a great price. - Great spot at a great price.
- Wendy (2/5): - The check in was time consuming due to manual paperwork. No toilet paper. The beds are too small the covers do not fit properly. Was very uncomfortable.
- Stephanie (10/5): - Very pleased with the facility, can’t beat the price!
- Richard (10/5): - Everything is good, check in clerk was rat. I was shocked to learn the property closes down at 9:00, did not know that. That would have been very different review, that needs to e emphasized.
- Michael (4/5): - I don’t often complain about cheap motels when I’m just looking for a decent place to overnight while on the road, but this place needs a wake-up call.
Noisy (bad fitting door), very worn furnishings and bedding, sketchy checkin at a remote office.
Good thing I was solo cause my wife would have said NO!
- Paul (6/5): - The room needed remodeling. Wall cracks, chipped paint, chipped porcelain in the tub. Lots of exterior noise, from the highway, from adjacent rooms. But the room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The check in woman was friendly and efficient. Apparently if you get there too late, there is no one to check you in.
- Jason (2/5): - Had the reservation booked for over a week. The event we were in town for ran late. Got to the property to check in and the office was locked up, no one working. Called the number and I could audibly hear the phone ringing through the window. There was a note on the door to go check in at the neighboring Days Inn. Apparently this is common practice. However common it may be, the Days Inn did not have my reservation handy (go figure).
Absolutely no recourse or ability to right the wrong. Skip this place and keep on driving if you're ever in a pinch.
- Diana (10/5): Wonder peace of heaven - Amazing stay. Very clean and quiet. Check in was a breeze. Will definitely be back
- David (4/5): Skip this one… - Checking in was fine. The individual in the office was extremely friendly and helpful. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Dead bugs on the floor and an ass skid mark on the toilet seat. I had just driven 1000 miles and was not in a mood to complain. I simply needed sleep. The bed was ok.. Honestly, I should’ve asked for a refund and slept in my truck.
- Danny (4/5): - I expected it to be outdated which I was fine with but I didn’t expect to find a huge dead roach in the bathroom floor, dirty floors and shower stalls and so much hair in the shower drain I could make a wig. Definitely disappointed in my stay and would not return.
- Aaron (8/5): - .
- Cindy J (8/5): - It's older and could just use an update on the bathrooms. They were very clean but fixtures and tile flooring need improvement. Actually very good for how dated things were!! Connie at front desk was excellent and very friendly!!
- Catharine (10/5): - Affordable, quiet place for a one night stay. Very good beds, linens, and towels. Older bathroom was clean, but not particularly nice looking. Patio restaurant at Days Inn was excellent. Custard cones nearby completed a lovely evening.
- Chris (10/5): Great place great price - Stuff was super friendly, great restaurant next door, and lots of stores within a 1 mile radius.
- Olen (6/5): - It was ok. Door on baloney wanted to open on it's own. Really hard TP.
- robert (10/5): - g restreat rate and excellent
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very Disappointing - We booked as they allow pets. Were told we had to take a smoking room even though we paid extra for the dogs. Room stunk of stale smoke. Furnishings were old and not in good shape. Office is down the hill and only has certain open hours. There is nowhere to walk your pets.
- James (10/5): - It was a nice place could use an update but it’s great for a one night stay.
- Don (2/5): - Old and outdated. Bare bones facility.
- Mark (8/5): - The room was large , clean & view was alright.
- Steven (4/5): Could not check in after 9:30pm - I have stayed at this motel before. The rooms are clean and tidy and the price is great.
But on my last trip I arrived after 9:30pm and the front office was closed and I was not able to check in. Apparently it is listed on the booking page but I overlooked it. I have never been to a hotel or motel that you can not check into late in the evening. I had a confirmed reservation. I feel that they should have reached out to me when they were closing the office to make arrangements for me. It was shocking to arrive after driving for 8 hours and the office was shut down for the evening. I had to find another hotel and had to pay almost twice the price. They need to figure out a way to avoid this in the future because I can see this happening to other guests.
- Graydon (10/5): - Quaint, old style motel that is well maintained and nestled right off I79 right between Luzardi’s family restaurant for a full meal and McDonalds for quick breakfast. Great spot for an overnight layover.
- Lisa (10/5): - Very clean
- STANLEY (10/5): - Very inexpensive, especially good for over night stop while traveling. Old motel but very clean, close to restaurants, gas, etc. There is also a lake and beautiful terrapin, if one wanted to stay an extra day. The towels were good and plentiful. There is no lobby so there are no services. Very good internet.
- Delbert (10/5): Excellent stay - Excellent stay. Clean and comfortable room great service and fantastic value
- GARY (6/5): Cheap price , adequate for sleeping - Parking was right outside the door. Room had fridge and microwave. Bed was clean. Not a super clean room, but clean enough. Furnishings were old, but functional. Water was hot, coffee machine worked. Worth the price, overall, if you're not too picky.
- Sherri (10/5): - The view of the sunset was amazing, and the mountains were beautiful this morning
- Dominique (8/5): - Best rapport price/quality.
- James (8/5): - I liked it all very helpful staff
- Edward (4/5): - Not much to like. Took 3 rooms to find one clean enough, or that the ac worked, to stay in.
- Peter (10/5): Value motel - Older motel , but clean. Quiet. Great location. Convenient. Helpful staff
- Gabe (10/5): - Reception personnel excellent. Welcoming and friendly.
- Matthew (10/5): - We liked how the parking was right at the doors upstairs. Private balconies. Mountain view above the mall area across the four lane. It’s our second time staying and we’ll be back!
- paul (4/5): - We stayed during our drive to Florida as a rest stop.
Very noisy due to hwy, truck noise.
I took a face cloth from the rack and found it had been
used, probably to shine someone's shoes.
The beds were comfortable, but the pillows have seen
better days.
- Pandora (8/5): - Pet-friendly non-smoking room, very spacious, firm bed, room had microwave & refrigerator. Outdated furnishings, but price very reasonable. A dead wasp and dead moth on windowsill, but everything else clean. Plenty of hot water with good water pressure. Did not like that the few guests were all in rooms right next to each other, so loud guests arriving next door around midnight disturbed our sleep. Will stay at this motel next time in area.
- CHUN (10/5): - Great
- Suzanne (8/5): - Office manager was very welcoming upon arrival. Room was a little outdated but clean and had nice amenities. Mini fridge microwave
Tv. Bed was very comfortable and clean sheets.
I would stay here again. Good rate obtained for the room thanks to Expedia!
- Thomas (10/5): - Nice people and quick service
- Amy (10/5): Nice little gem - This is a well taken care of motel. Pretty good size room and even had a balcony.
- William (10/5): Ok - Nice and quiet
- Duane (8/5): Nice view! - Nice view!
- Sherry (10/5): - Safety is the main reason we stay at the Sutton Lane hotel. Great and safe place to stay. Workers there are very nice.
- Sherry (10/5): - Convenient location and nice employees
- Katie (10/5): - Very friendly check-in. Room very convenient and clean. Nice amenities.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - If you’re expecting an updated hotel with 5 star amenities, this isn’t for you. However, if you’re realistic and want a nice place to stay, this is it.
It’s in a quiet, easily accessible location. There are a few fast food places, even a Starbucks, a Walmart and a couple gas stations close by.
There’s a brand new Little Caesars in the parking lot of the hotel, also a Waffle Hut. Plenty of options for a night or two.
Every room has a balcony. It had a TV with DirecTV, a working bathroom and working A/C. What more do you need? It’s a $60 hotel, if you want more, pay more.
The lady working at the desk was friendly as well.
I’d stay here again if passing thru. :)
- Patty (10/5): Sutton lane - The check inn lady was very nice. We had an issue with the air conditioning in our room so she put us in another room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Convenient to Interstate 77.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Dated & Worn, But Clean & Comfy: Very good value - This was a decent room at a good price. It is very dated (I couldn't remember the last time I'd seen a sunlamp in a hotel bathroom ceiling), and does show wear, but it was clean, and offered everything one needs for a comfortable overnight stay during travel. There was plenty of hot water at a good pressure, and the room was very dark at night. The rooms are unusually big. Entering the room was a little off-putting, because the door opens to a long narrow hallway, and there are no windows along the rear, where the doors are. But, the room opens up to a nice balcony with a door and a big picture window. The service was good, the man who checked us in was very friendly, informative, and clear. If you travel with types who are finicky, you may want to pass this by, but any complaints from such a type would be unjustified, because the room and the stay were just fine.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Love the area. Lots of places to eat around. A Waffle House in the office parking lot was nice. Staff was nice. Room was clean, well kept. we had lots of clean towels. If given a chance, my husband and I would stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved watching the interstate.loved the location.was guiet in the room.thank you
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This roadside motel was very comfortable and affordable! We had a room with a balcony and really enjoyed the evenings sitting looking at the view. We will stay again when in the area. 2 very enthusiastic thumbs up!!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The location is nice and relaxing with pleasant views
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Really nice veiw for road side motel. Loved that it had a deck! Older motel but super clean and HUGE room and it had more then enough towels and the parking and outdoor nature was amazing!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great value. Good location. Comfy bed. Balcony was nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Accepted pets. Room was set up for pets...they could not get/hide under bed. easy to unload and load car. Very quiet.
Establishment is old and a bit run down, but price and location easily off set any concerns in that dept.
Pleasant stay over all.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Nice view of commercial area along I-79.
Could not use charge card for my room even though I secured it with my card during reservation. My first room had not been cleaned. Office is not conveniently located to rooms. Second room had a wet woman’s jacket in the tub!
- Sherry (10/5): Great place to stay - Service was excellent!!!!!! Stayed here many times in the past, a great place.
- Doran (8/5): - The only thing I didn’t care for was the bathroom. I am a big guy and the shower are is extremely small. Other than that it was a good stay
- Daniel (6/5): Average - Decent stay, quiet, good restaurant. Affordable.
- LisaLitton (10/5): - Loved it have no complaints, thought it was nice and clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The receptionist at 5 pm on 5/29 was so helpful awesome customer service
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The beds were too stiff. Bathroom was very dirty. The toilet broke and wouldn’t flush. There was bugs all over the room. And the bathroom door has no lock
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean and friendly service. I stay here a couple times a year.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We stayed one night. It was perfect for what we needed
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The bathtub looked as if it hadn’t been clean for a month
- Julia (6/5): - Old and run down, security chain was broken, I put a chair against the door. Reminded me of a “rent by the hour” kind of place. The lighting was broken by the bed and was rigged to work.
Jessica the receptionist was extremely helpful and pleasant.
The Waffle Hut connected to the motel was frightening, service slow and I was scared to order anything difficult. I was reminded of somewhere you’d go after the bars close.
- Bill (8/5): - Was ok for an inexpensive motel. Was some type of water leak in bathroom. Facilities are dated. No ice machine, no hairdryer
- J (6/5): - Nice little room for good price in nice little area
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The location was perfect for out trip. Lodging is very near I79 and outlet center in Flatwoods WV.
