• Shirley (4/5): - Nice fire pit area. Had cornhole game but was in bad condition, same with pool table and ping pong table. Nice selection of movies but quite a few of them were missing the disc. Pool and hot tub were not in service. Didn't look like the hot tub had been working in a very long time. Very steep spiral staircase to bedroom, quite scary. Bed was in poor shape.

• Jennifer (8/5): This is a dog-friendly, cozy apartment with lots of amenities and easy beach access. - It has a great location near the beach. The units are big enough to accommodate four or five guests comfortably. They offer a lot of nice amenities like first come first serve boats, a pool table in the common room, a ton of movies to choose from, and a well stocked playground. It’s a fairly cheap place to stay, but it’s gotten a lot more expensive since we stayed in 2022 and 2024. Some of that’s down to inflation. It’s dog friendly for a fee, which is absolutely essential for us. We were really disappointed to find that the pool was closed. The units are a bit rundown with old or sometimes rusty fixtures. This was our third time staying, so we knew to bring slippers for the pebbly spiral staircase.

• Svitlana (10/5): The Gem of the area! - The property is beautiful and offers plenty of options for spending your time. The room was great and comfortably accommodated our group of six. It has all the amenities, and there are beautiful hikes nearby, except the beach😍 The pillows are quite large, so having a couple of smaller options available would make the stay even more comfortable.

We didn’t know that they were down at the time of booking so we were a little bummed and disappointed. We couldn’t go swimming and relax, but this is no fault of the resort they were just waiting for their own maintenance to complete.

I called days before to confirm it was running (because it HAD been down) and they said yes. I would have cancelled the trip completely and not driven 3 hours with 5 people to come.

• Adriana (5/5): Great location but wouldn’t book again. - I liked that it was out of town. It’s very outdated. The room we were staying at had a smell. It was very unpleasant. Table and counter in the kitchen weren’t clean before we got there. Neither was the bathroom. Pool wasn’t heated.

• Barbara (10/5): We would recommend Surfcrest Resort for everyone who wants a relaxing great time! - I liked the atmosphere, the friendliness of everyone I met, and the relaxed way in which we were able to use the amenities. Trevor and the staff are all friendly and very helpful! This is a resort that we will be returning to for relaxation and fun! The family suite was clean and comfortable, with a well stocked kitchen with everything we needed for cooking and cleaning up after ourselves. The path to the Ocean was beautiful! Personally I found the stairs to the bedroom to be hard to navigate at night, so I slept on the comfortable couch downstairs. This definitely didn’t take away from the relaxing experience!

• Nikki (10/5): - We found this property to be pretty magical. The balcony and deck overlooked a wooded area that was a labyrinth of paths all leading to the dunes and beach. The whole place is super pet friendly. And the amenities like free kayaks and boats, dog parks, hot tub and pool, clubhouse and fire pit were all amazing. Highly recommend to anyone. We are already planning our next trip here.

• Matthew (10/5): Such a fun place, beautiful beach - Just a quick overnight trip, but our family really enjoyed our stay. They have an en suite kitchenette. The stairs to the second floor are spiral style and the stair treads are a poured concrete with stone inside which is a bit uncomfortable on the feet but otherwise it is so cozy and highly recommended.

TV was broken (color was going), second stay, second time this has happened. Also, room wasn't cleaned very properly. Found someone's shirt in the dresser. Hairs left in the bathroom. Kids running around after 10pm screaming was a little wild.

• Katja (9/5): - Die Lage ist sensationell. Es ist nur ein kleiner Spaziergang zum Meer und dem langen Strand. Wir waren auch positiv überrascht, wie ruhig es im Resort war. Die Betten waren gut aber das Sofa war ein bisschen durch gelegen und müsste mal ersetzt werden. Wir würden wieder hier übernachten.

• Ryan (9/5): Awesome location and resort has so much to do for the families. We designed rooms for families. - Fantastic place. Such a gem. So much to do and the ocean is so close with nobody around. Bunk bed mattress is old and needs replacing.

It isnt for everyone but if you're just looking to chill and relax for a few days, this place is lovely. 5 minute walk from the beach Outdoor pool and kayaking in a stream. The staff was absolutely wonderful. There's a nice fire at night to relax by and a game room that my kids loved. PET FRIENDLY! Although the area is full of that pokey weed nightmare so watch your doggies footies. We had a whole herd so i didnt go upstairs but it held the lot of us! It's small in ways but everything one would assume for a beach cottage! Its also north of Ocean Shores so a little off from the tourists, which was a bonus. Wifi was in and out - but what are you doing in a beach cottage on the ocean.. put your phone down brother!

• Steve (8/5): - Sleeping arrangements aren't the best for older grandparents. The hide a bed downstairs was miserably uncomfortable. The spiral staircase to the upstairs was undesirable for my 82-year-old mom. Which is where the good beds were. This is a fantastic place for a young family. Not so much so for older grandparents. We older folks made the best of it and still had a blast with kids and grandkids. 😊

We had to leave early and were able to get a day refunded which was very kind of them! The couch in the room could use some cleaning, but we put our beach sleeping mat over it and it was fine. We want to come back soon.

The whole staff is genuinely kind and professional, and there's plenty of car parking inside the structure.

• Daniel (5/5): Solide Unterkunft für einen kurzen Aufenthalt – mit Einschränkungen bei Platz und Ausstattung - Wir haben das Surfcrest Resort für einen Zwischenstopp an der Küste gewählt. Die Anlage liegt ruhig in Strandnähe (ca. 5 Gehminuten) und bietet mit kostenlosem Kajakverleih und Grillplätzen nette Extras für Outdoor-Fans. Auch das Personal war durchweg freundlich und hilfsbereit – hier fühlt man sich willkommen. Die Appartements sind charmant gestaltet und wirken auf den ersten Blick sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Für vier Erwachsene war die Unterkunft jedoch eher beengt. Es gibt ein Doppelbett und ein Etagenbett auf einer Empore, die nur über eine enge Wendeltreppe erreichbar ist. Ein Schlafsofa im Wohnbereich half uns zwar aus, war aber eher eine Notlösung. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es in den umliegenden Orten, man sollte also im Voraus planen oder mobil sein. Fazit: Wer mit realistischen Erwartungen kommt und kein Luxus-Apartment sucht, bekommt hier eine einfache, gut gelegene Unterkunft mit nettem Service. Für Paare oder kleine Familien ideal – für vier Erwachsene eher eine Kompromisslösung. Küche und Bad sind funktional, aber deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Gerade in der Küche merkt man die intensive Nutzung – alles Nötige ist vorhanden, aber Komfort darf man hier nicht erwarten. Das Badezimmer ist sehr klein und bietet wenig Bewegungsfreiheit, was bei mehreren Personen zur Herausforderung werden kann.
• Carla (6/5): - Staff were very nice but the pool and hotub were broken. No mention of broken pool on website or when i booked. They only notified me when i checked in after arriving. Bathroom is very small. I could not sit normally on toilet sithout my knees hitting the wall and i am onky 5ft 8in tall. Also they offer no food minus snacks and there is no delivery service. So unless you bring your own food you have to drive 10mins or so into Ocean Shores. The pictures on website are glorified and make it look much nicer than it is. They did however refund us for one nights stsy when we left early and did not stay the last night we had booked. Staff were very nice.

• Jaime (5/5): Basic stay was good enough by the experience could have been greater. - The available activities were good as well as amenities in the resort. WiFi access was very spotty or more like non- existent. The pool and spa were not functional due to a part problem but were not faulting the resort. I think we should be owed a refund for those services that were not fulfilled.
• James (7/5): Nice oceanfront property with plenty to do - Located within a 5-10 minute walk through the dunes from the beach, the location of this place is pretty great. Just open the window in the evening and the roar of the ocean will put you at ease. The facilities are a bit dated but generally well maintained. Our family had plenty of sleeping space and made good use of the small kitchen. We also enjoyed the on-site playground as well as the rowboat and kayaks in the nearby river. And the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We appreciated the heater in the number after a cold evening at the beach, but keeping a consistent comfortable temperature through the night proved a struggle. Our carpet also looked like it could have used a good cleaning. There were other small maintenance issues, but we were mainly disappointed that the pool and hot tub were under repair and not available for us while we were there. The wifi also really struggled and was almost nonexistent in the evening.

And swimming pool is very important for my family because kids spend energy there before go to sleep otherwise it's difficult for me. Unfortunately for 3 days (2 nights) swimming pool wasn't fixed. If I knew this in advance I would probably cancel this trip. Otherwise it's great place

• Kristina (10/5): - Absolutely one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in Ocean Shores. The unit was very clean, the staff were incredible and we had an excellent time. The pool was very clean and crispy. The employees work so hard. Every where you looked someone was paying close attention to details. The walk to the beach is short and stunning. On a clear night you can see the sun set from your private balcony. We did see a black bear heading toward the garbages but she ran off quickly. The staircase is kind of narrow so be careful.

There was a broken down or abandoned 5th Wheel at the entrance to the property that was green and decrepit, there was garbage in the driveway that appeared to be knocked over by a stray but was never cleaned up during our 3 day stay and the pull out couch in our unit was so uncomfortable that we the grandparents got no sleep for 2 nights and found it hard to be present to create fond memories for our grandchildren. Also the DVD player was not working the first night and it was too late to ask for a replacement. We would recommend a TV in the bedroom so we could sleep there when kids go to sleep and still be able to watch TV. Rather than having to sleep on the pull out couch.
