- Juan (8/5): - This is a place with amazing natural beauty. Being a remote area the dinning options are limited and hard to get after 6:00 pm. Internet access is good. Loni and Ray, the owners, are very accommodating. We had a very peaceful rest after some trails and traveling time.
- Mirela (4/5): - J’ai acheté un séjour pour 2 de 4 jours dans la deuxième semaine de juillet en comprenant (d’ après Expedia et sa confirmation) que le petit déjeuner était inclus. Sur place, surprise : il ne l’était pas. Vu la localisation sur le Cabot Trail un endroit ou tu peux avoir le petit déjeuner c’est important pour commencer la journée. La propriétaire nous a dit que c’est une erreur d’Expedia et q’elle ne pouvait rien faire sauf nous recommander un endroit ou aller déjeuner. Dire que 2 matins en s’y rendant on a eu la surprise de trouver un affiche qui annoncer que c’est fermé pour la journée 😞. Dans une autre ordre d’idée, si vous avez réservé un studio, considérer que c’est dans le grenier et qu'il n’y a pas de climatisation. Mais... l’endroit comme tel est une havre de paix avec de levées du soleil à couper le souffle.

The location is awesome, the time in the hammocks was sublime, and it's not too far from the beach (~35 min by car), which was great for paddleboarding, swimming, etc. A couple guests (including us) did not get the room/suite they reserved on Expedia, so I'd advise guests to confirm your room with the owner directly once you've booked. In our case it worked out fine, as we got one of the adorable cottages and it was awesome; the owners were super helpful and lovely. Having a firepit was awesome - like camping but better! We loved the hot tub and all the different lounging spot options. A great spot to unwind and relax by the sea. I hope we can be back! My only note is that the chemical/floral cleaning smell when we first checked in was so strong, it gave both me and my daughter a headache. It was gone by the second day, but I'd suggest notifying the owner in advance (which I failed to do) if you have a scent sensitivity.
- Cydney (10/5): - The studio apartment was well maintained, spacious and clean with the most adorable seaside decor. Good air flow. Enjoyed the indoor jaccuzi hot tub at the end of the day. The bed and bedding was very comfortable. The 180 degree view to the east of the Atlantic ocean from the back veranda was stunning! I enjoyed sitting on the comfy our door furniture having coffee. Host and owner Lonnie was very welcoming and answered all my questions from the booking to check! Highly recommend Sea Ocean Parrot View Resort.

- Nina (10/5): A Little Slice of Paradise - We enjoyed our time in this property which had a view of the ocean from the balcony. The house was clean and well provisioned with all that we needed. The hostess couldn't have been more helpful and attentive to anything that we might need. We didn't stay "home" very much because we were out seeing the sights.

- Alison (6/5): - I thought the room was decent sized and had a few plates, glasses etc that you need. It was okay, but we could hear the people above us walking around quite a lot, the wifi was just as bad as trying to find cell phone reception, and a lot of the wood around the hot tubs, decks etc need to be replaced as everything is quite weathered.
- Mark (10/5): - We stayed here from July 7–10, 2025, and were so pleasantly surprised by everything about this place. Our apartment was wonderful—comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully appointed. The hosts were incredibly gracious and made us feel so welcome. The ocean view is absolutely breathtaking, and the location right on the Cabot Trail couldn't be more perfect. We truly enjoyed every moment and would love to return if we get the chance!

- Maxine (6/5): - The Sea Parrot Resort was quite and had a lovely setting along the water. However our greeting upon arrival was not friendly. The online description of the apartment was far from accurate. The inroom air freshener used was so strong it caused a headache. And lastly, the shower curtain was so dirty that it was an orange color at least 1 foot up all along the bottom. It hadn't been washed for probably a couple of months.

- Chester and Barbara (8/5): - The location is breathtaking, right on the ocean. We shared the large hot tub with our friends. The accommodation was large and had everything we needed. The owners were very helpful and nice to talk to. Due to the previous weather the beach was inaccessible due to the stairs being washed away. Breakfast is no longer an option at this location but we were provided with coupons for a couple of restaurants in the area, both were excellent, The Clucking Hen, especially.

- Toby (6/5): - This is a Beautiful Place , very well maintain in an idylic setting. I would caution that the description is not absolutely forthcoming. I prepaid for a room with a double bed and a Queen bed (I have rechecked my itinerary to make sure ) what I got was a Queen and a Walmart style pull out bed, The real issue was that it was over a garage with 13 steep steps and my traveling companion was my 92 year old mother , who managed it like a trooper BUT. If you are able body this is a beautiful suite with a fantastic view spotlessly clean but not for the ederly! That shhould be made clear.
- David (10/5): Pampering stop - Truly a wonderful place to stay. Our room had a nautical theme that was well done. Everything was spotlessly clean. We had a balcony, a bubble tub in the bath and a hot tub outside. The property is located on the ocean with spectacular views. Breakfast chits were provided for a wonderful breakfast just donn the road a piece.
- Milind (10/5): Excellent stay - We had an excellent stay at the Sea Parrot. Our lake facing room was very comfortable with all amenities (fridge, microwave etc). Hotels.com website advertises the suite as having a double bed and a queen bed but in fact it is queen and a sofa pull out bed. it was not uncomfortable to sleep in but they need to make it evident at the start of the resot information. Somewhere in the description below it does say it is a pull out and this I had realized after concluding the booking. That said, Lonnie is an excellent hostess and we had some good conversations. Would highly recommend this resort anyone travelling to the Cabot Trails.

Cozy with an ocean view from the front porch- we watched a seal from the porch swing, and relaxed to the sounds of waves and owls at night. It was very peaceful and quiet. The cottage itself was well stocked with all we needed and then some. The innkeeper was very kind and helpful. Highly recommended!!
- Dale (10/5): A wonderful find in a beautiful place. - A really beautiful view with all you dream of finding. Hot tub overlooking the ocean, lovely grounds with lots of comfortable chairs/loungers. Everything you need to be at home when traveling.

When we arrived the Property Manager, Lonnie, informed us that the suite we had paid for was not available, and that instead we would need to stay in a trailer. She gave us two options, neither of which smelled very nice. One had a dirty bathroom and broken electric outlets. When I asked to be switched to a suite at the soonest possible opportunity, Lonnie got very angry and said we did not have to stay there at all. She was very mad at Expedia saying that they have put her in difficult situations many times, overbooking her rooms and leaving her to deal with clients. We informed her that we were the ones stuck in the middle, and due to her yelling, in quite an insulting manner, we would go if we could have our money back. She continued to yell about Expedia and eventually refunded the money saying 'good luck finding anywhere else to stay'. It was a horrible experience, and the worst behaviour from a person in the service industry I have ever witnessed. I highly recommend avoiding this property!

- Kathryn (8/5): Our stay in the Sea Parrot's Boathouse - Very unique accommodation - surprisingly comfortable. Always a pleasure to find things immaculately clean particularly when renting an efficiency unit (we BBQed both evenings).
- Sandra (10/5): Weekend away - Two day stay at Sea Parrot Manor. Lovely ocean views. Quiet and peaceful. Our suite was clean and comfortable.
- Kathy (10/5): The view was beautiful! - The view was beautiful! The room we stayed in was the perfect size for a week for the two of us and a small dog. The breakfast was delicious and the host and hostess were very nice and accommodating. This was the perfect place to relax and walk on the beach and also visit the nearby Cape Breton Highland National Park. We especially enjoyed our breakfast on the porch each morning and visiting with folks from other countries.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Much Less Than Expected - Very disappointed that the description did not reflect the actual unit and will never go by description alone when booking a stay. An older one bedroom Travel Trailer with a pull out sofa bed in the dining area is NOT a two bedroom cottage! A camper queen bed is NOT the same as a regular queen size bed, with width is similar but the length is much shorter and it is about 4" thick on a plywood base. The attached deck was nice but the description said patio or balcony which several other actual cottages on the property had.
- Verified traveler (8/5): On the Cabot Trail - The Sea Parrot is a combination of a hotel, a B&B, and a cottage all in one. The rooms are in a separate building so you have more privacy, but you go to the main house for breakfast which is prepared by the owner. I wish the beds were more comfortable, but the ocean view from the balcony is fantastic. You choose your breakfast the night before and the time you'll be having it, the owner prepares it in the morning, and you enjoy it on the patio with an ocean view. If you're looking for luxury, or for someone to do your bed every morning, this isn't for you. If you're looking for a decent place on the Cabot trail, with amazing view...you're at the right place. The reason I wouldn't recommend it to my friends and family because they're more into a hotel style accommodation than a B&B style.
- Jacqueline (10/5): Made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived! - We had a lovely stay at Sea Parrot. The property is beautiful, with lots of amenities and things to do. Our accommodations were spotlessly clean, with an amazing view of the water. We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and the many spots to relax in a chair or hammock by the water.
