When I arrived on Thursday for a three-night stay, I was informed after the 2nd night that I had to move because the resort is only from Saturday to Saturday, I was leaving Sunday. I drove from Fayetteville, Georgia and that was such an inconvenience. Secondly, they advertised this place as if it's in Destin, FL, it 20 minutes away, this place is located in Miramar, FL, that was disappointing as well. lack of communication between booking.com and this place. When attempting to call Booking.com, I can only email without a clear response.

- Myeshia (7/5): Good - Nice location and staff. Cleanliness was not up to par. Bathroom was filthy especially once the jets came on. A lot of brown gunk came out. There was hair and dust and places that could have used a good wipe down weeks ago. Highly disappointed and couldn’t wait to leave so that I could bathe properly.

Absolutely loved Bay club of sandestin had many amazing heated pools we rode bicycles for a day and had the best time so much fun and the people are very helpful and friendly couldn't have asked for anything better it it exceeded our expectations. Will definitely stay here again and will recommend this to anyone. Had private beach access that was awesome just straight across the street. I can't think of anything we didn't like.

When we asked front desk if it was safe after it happened they provided 0 information. Traumatic for so many. We also found a cockroach within the hotel picture below. No parking if you wanted to go to the other pools.

- Diego (8/5): - This is not a hotel, it’s a timeshare. Upon arrival they told us we will have a room change the next morning because the people assigned to the time-share will be arriving the next day. The condos are not cleaned thoroughly, we had to ask the front desk to send someone to vacuum the carpet of our second condo; it was obviously dirty with food crumbs, toe nails, dirt. They don’t dust either, we ended up doing our own dusting and cleaning surfaces once we moved in. The couches are old and look dirty, we used bed sheets to put on top on couches so we can seat on it. We also didn’t walk bare feet on the carpet even after they vacuumed, it just looked old and dirty. The climb from the parking lot up to the condo was disappointing and not welcoming, the hallways floors were dirty and dark. As far as the rest of the Sandestin resort, it was nice and no complaint there. We were able to enjoy the beach area, pool, laundry and restaurant. The employees working in the building were friendly and helped with our needs.

- Mitchell (8/5): - My husband and I brought our 2 daughters 18 & 10 to visit from Indianapolis. We were SO happy with the room and property. But the food at Restaraunt’s we tried on site was not good and Hugh priced. We ordered those giant cocktails for $35 and they didn’t even give us a buzz at all. My ribs were dry and the ribs and sides tasted old like leftovers heated in microwave, my daughters shrimp were small and didn’t get very many, My husband got the brisket and it was like a leftover that had been cooked earlier and then reheated and dry. For the price it was bad. We had a few bites and no one wanted to finish their meals. We give it a 3/10 … However the morning breakfast from the restaurant Ruby Slipper was very good. I had yummy biscuits and gravy with eggs cooked perfectly and the gravy flavor was great. My latte there was good too. Daughters loved their French toast bites and their blt with fried green tomato’s! She loved her ice coffee there too. We would go back to that restaurant. We also ate at the Marina restaurant for dinner and drinks and it was a 6/10 with the drinks being the perk. Doriotes nachos were ok, Chicken pineapple fajitas were good. Overall, the Beach and pool were great Room was great, bed was comfy. Overall we had a lovely trip and when we visit again we would sadly go off site to eat. We did eat off site at Olive Garden once too and it was 7/10 but much better than resort food.

The air work really well. The unit needs to be updated. The bar in the closet was rusted. The unit was not cleaned. The oven had old fries in it. The outer bowl of the toliet was not cleaned. There was hair on multiple surfaces; the bathroom floor, bath towels, bed sheets. A previous guests handbag was left in the closet. The unit smelled very musty/ dusty and old. The carpet needs to be cleaned, replaced. The pull out couch had stains on the cushion and on the mattress.

Never talked to anyone besides whn I was asked to not use the jacuzzi becuz of maintenance and I never received anymore clean towels and I stayed from Thursday- Sunday.
- Fatjon (2/5): - My experience with this property and Expedia was absolutely unacceptable and deeply disappointing. After traveling 12 exhausting hours with my two children, we arrived at the hotel only to find it completely unstaffed. No one was there to help us check in, and despite multiple calls to both the property and Expedia, we received no assistance. I had no choice but to find another hotel late at night, paying out of pocket just to shelter my family. During my discussions with Expedia, the agent stated that I had to check in between 4 PM and 5 PM or I would not be able to check in at all. This policy is completely unrealistic for travelers arriving later in the day, but to make matters worse, no check-in instructions or warnings about this were provided at any point—no emails, no calls, no details anywhere. How was I supposed to know? The following day, we managed to check in. The young lady at the front desk was incredibly kind—the only saving grace in this entire ordeal. However, the rest of the experience quickly turned sour again. Two other front desk agents were rude and dismissive. One turned their back on us while another agent muttered “uhuhhhh” while staring at the computer, which felt like a snide dismissal—almost as if he was saying, "this is the troublemaker!" By then, I chose to stay quiet because I was completely fed up. The room was even worse. It felt unclean and moldy, with an old, sticky carpet and grimy tiles. Maybe new batteries would be nice.

- Hml (5/5): After Hours Check In Difficulties - Checking in “after lobby hours” at 7 PM was a nightmare. I called twice the day before check in to let them know what time we would be arriving and to best understand the after hours check in process. During both calls, front desk workers said that our key codes and information would be at the security gate/check point for Sandestin. When we arrived, none of the security personnel had our name on their list. There was no one from Bay Club/VRI that we could get ahold of. The check in process took about two hours for security to finally find what we needed to get into our lockbox/room. *Recommendation for VRI: Just message the lockbox info and code to the person staying on the property or tell them what it is, instead of making it so complicated. It did not need to be that difficult. Otherwise, our stay was fine.

I did not check in or out with anyone, our room was never cleaned, the shuttle service was unpredictable, and there was a lot of construction on the property. The property was beautiful and there was a lot to do on the property itself. I just wish I would have know more about the amenities before our stay.

- Zoran (8/5): Always glad to visit this property, besides some hick-ups. - This is my fourth visit. Quiet - that is what I like. No housekeeping to interrupt my stay during the day. Good parking lot. All very secure and safe. I booked the room with a balcony. There was not a balcony. Some more easy-fix maintenance is needed. What I did not like most was that I canceled my room (1,112.93) on 12/19/23, and I did not get a refund for it as of today (1/26/24). Booking.com did not help resolve this problem as promised by the CS. After I canceled the previous room, I booked another, different room and the room for my son's family instead. That is why I canceled the first room on time (two days before the deadline). I had to call my CC to dispute the charge. The refund should occur automatically without begging for it.
- Jiayi (9/5): Relaxing - The room is spacious and clean. We loved having a well-equipped kitchen, and two bathrooms. The resort is beautiful and it was easy to get to restaurants, shops and the beach taking the shuttle (although the shuttle schedule is not provided and we averagely waited for 20-30 minutes for a shuttle). All staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall it was a very relaxing stay. I’m not sure how this happened, I did not receive h check-in instructions before we arrived. We arrived outside of the reception’s operation hour and were quite confused about how to get to our room. But staff helped us and all was well in the end.
- William (9/5): Our stay included all the activities at Baytown Wharf for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We always enjoy them. The weathe - Location was central to many activities. Pretty views as we were high enough. Easy check in. This was our ninth Thanksgiving on the Sandestin property, staying in different places. Evidently, we enjoy the setting. Bay Club included.
