- Donald (8/5): - Old and historic place. Understand it was a lawfirm set of offices built in the late 1800's. Need place to stay right in the downtown area. Only two 'complaints' is the limited parking and a steep set of stairs to the rooms that are on the second floor only.
- Piengporn (10/5): - We spent one night at Hotel Ouray. The hotel is very quiet even though it is located right on the Main Street and close to restaurants and stores. The staffs are very friendly. I highly recommended.
- Andrew (8/5): Great Location with A Few Issues - This is a beautiful property with a great location on Main St. The room was clean and spacious. Unfortunately, there was a persistent, bad odor coming from the shower drain. It smelled like sewage and would fill the room if we were out and about for a few hours. Ewww! While in our room, we had to open the windows to breathe clean air. During the night, we had to sleep with our bathroom door closed and the fan running to keep it bearable. This smell alone made me feel like I wasted money on one of the more expensive rooms in town only to smell sewage all day. The design of the shower itself was also not ideal. The lack of any shower door caused the heat from the hot water to immediately escape. Who wants to take a freezing shower in the mountains? Not me. The breakfast was also a disappointment. The selections were slim and low-budget. Next time I'm in Ouray I'll definitely stay somewhere else.

- james (8/5): historic hotel - Manager (I think) at front desk was as accomodating as could be under the circumstances of finding parking a reasonable distance from the entrance in kinda tour-y Ouray by offering her parking spot upon closing at 7 pm in a town where business-specific parking is at a premium. I was only there to sleep for a 340 wakeup for Sneffels so forgot to grab my to go breakfast which was to be kindly set aside early (but i forgot it before leaving) and wasvable to keep my parking until i returned just past lunch time

Stayed two nights in Room 10 a suite with large bedroom with two chairs and dresser and a sitting room you can close off with door and curtains with couch, table, fridge, chair. The bathroom was nice with large tiled walk in shower. I appreciated all the hooks in the bathroom and bedroom. Had a view of brewery and library across the street. The room was clean and quiet and I appreciated all the rules.it was convenient and budget friendly having continental breakfast.

The design of the shower looked cool but under certain shower head settings water was spraying out into the bathroom floor. Also whoever installed the shower pan did a terrible job and the entire floor bounced up and down. We parked at the rear of the building and although we entered the door code properly (included the # sign) could not get the door to open. Liked the first floor room for convenience of getting items in. Would not have liked the second floor as there is no elevator.

Plus, Weisbaden Hot Springs, now open to the public, is just up the street for a relaxing soak. The hotel itself is a beautiful blend of history and comfort. Housed in a stunning 1890s building, it offers all the modern amenities you’d want while maintaining its historic charm. Our room was cozy, the bed was very comfortable, and the views were amazing. It truly felt like a home away from home. If you’re visiting Ouray and looking for a charming, well-located place to stay, I highly recommend Hotel Ouray!

Bed was a little too soft for my wife and I but that is personal preference. Will definitely stay there again, highly recommend this hotel.
- CCandWH (10/5): A STEP BACK IN TIME - Great hotel. Lovely architecture and history. Wonderful service from staff. Had a great sleep. Very spacious room. We had the corner room you can see from the street. Awesome view of the mountains and main street. It had a large main bedroom and second bedroom. Some of the other rooms looked very small, but ideal for a short stay. Nice simple breakfast. Coffee and tea available down the hallway in the breakfast area, not in your room.

The rooms are so clean and the bathroom was apparently just updated because it was great! Wonderful shower too! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They have a wonderful continental breakfast area, much more than I expected. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about Hotel Ouray. We will definitely go back!

There was no individual temperature control and the cold environment kept me waking throughout the night. One needs to be able to carry luggage up a flight of stairs. The rooms have windows on the wall to the hallway. Most guests were very considerate to keep the noise down when opening/ closing the heavy antique doors or when moving through the hall.
- ScubaDave16 (8/5): interesting old hotel in Ouray - An interesting old (built in 1893) hotel in the town of Ouray. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Check in was easy. for a place that old it seemed in very good shape. none of the creaky floors and loose stairs and such. the room was somewhat small, but pleasant. the bathroom was a couple steps up from the main room. The bathroom was decent sized and very clean. the room had a fridge and best of all a cieling fan. There was no microwave, but there was one down the hall in the dining area. There was a medium sized TV with a good channel selection. outlets for charging phones on each side of the bed The bed itself was a bit old. perhaps time for a new mattress. a bit saggy in the middle. The room was overlooking the town main street. maybe the only downside was that with the window open, everyone at the bar across the street could see right in. The town kinda shuts down early so noise wasn't much of an issue. The continental breakfast was pretty good. just missing hot food is all. Overall it was a pleasant stay in an interesting hotel.

Fresh flowers in the hallway were beautiful. The location is perfect for walking the downtown area. The included breakfast had lots of great choices & the breakfast room is always open if you want a hot tea or hot chocolate at night. The venue was very clean & tidy and the staff was super friendly. They gave us a tour when we checked in. Strange not to have a coffee maker in the room, but the breakfast room more than made up for it. Hope to stay here again.

- Josie (10/5): In the heart of Ouray - Beautiful historic hotel in the heart of Ouray! Wonderful staff (Theresa) that gave us tips on dining and places to visit. Comfortable rooms with a gorgeous view!
- samandjody (8/5): A must place to stay if you are in Ouray and no special needs! - Granted this location is not handicap available but the first time we stayed, I gave it 90 out of 100 points. The rooms are beautiful. This old building is stunning and the ladies working at the hotel are so friendly. The only reason I gave it a 90 instead of a 100 is that the rooms have no coffee or microwave. But seriously, you have to stay here!

The location is perfect and there are so many thoughtful touches - the breakfast room, umbrellas, towels for the hot springs, etc. We also really enjoyed everyone on the staff. All were incredibly kind and friendly. We would definitely return.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - There is no air conditioning in the room, the hotel controls the air and comes through an opening above the door, which doesn't allow much privacy in that everyone in the hallway can hear your every move and the hall light is bright which shines in. The vacancy light is also very bright coming through the window.

Breakfast was good, basic cold items and some fruit but that’s fine just needed something to get us going! Quiet! Quaint, but CLEAN!!! Would definitely stay here again, location is GREAT, park and walk anywhere!

- doreen (10/5): - We had room number 9. The view is of the downtown and the mountains. Loved this old hotel. It is more than 100 years old, yet we were comfortable and loved being able to walk everywhere! Great place!
