Guest Reviews
- Alexander (8/5): Short stay while expl;loring Whidbey island. - The lodge is a historic old log building - we like those! Everything is well thought out and we found it very convenient and comfortable. Everything feels cozy and the staff is helpful. Firewood, kindling, paper for starting fire, fire pits are available if you feel like staring at the fire. Grounds are very pleasant as well. There is no ventilation in the room - I woke up hot and feeling like the room was stuffy. It was easily corrected by opening the window. Something to keep in mind!

- Nomad31392940275 (10/5): Lovely Captain Whidbey Inn - We had an amazing stay at Captain Whidbey Inn. My wife and I had a great time—everything was perfect from the atmosphere to the service. It’s a beautiful, relaxing spot and we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!
- janellebrulotte (10/5): WHAT A SPECIAL PLACE!!! - We stayed in cabin 32. It was so wonderful. Staff was so so friendly. The bar made great drinks, Restaurant has a small but delicious menu. Take time to walk the grounds and visit Coupeville. Truly a magical place to celebrate anything...just being alive! We are planning on going back!
- Brian (10/5): Incredible quaintness. Outstanding comfort and cleanliness. - Uniqueness of building. Cleanliness and comfort of the facilities. Dinner was disappointing. We felt the menu overpromised in terms of complex meal choices and underdelivered in terms of quality. The black cod was tasteless, the duck was tough and unappetizing. The accompaniments were unremarkable. We believe the menu should be scaled back to more basic offerings. All that said, we love that there is a restaurant in the hotel and we would not hesitate to go again, especially if the menu changed.
- blackwellbabe (10/5): If you’ve ever read/seen Blackbeard’s Ghost… - Such a fun experience to stay at CW! It reminds me of the inn from the book/movie Blackbeard’s Ghost in the best way. The property is lovely and feels like an adult sleep away camp. Our room in the lodge was very quaint but oh so comfortable. We loved having comfy robes and the Pendleton wool Filson blanket for our bed. The shared bathroom was well appointed and had everything we needed to get ready for the day. Because the rooms are small we took advantage of many of the seating areas around the inn to read, drink coffee, and hang out (including the outside ones facing the water. We’re excited to sit around a fire outside in our next trip. We enjoyed the complimentary s’mores in the great room on arrival and dinner in the restaurant was excellent - many options for every palate. We couldn’t decide between the rhubarb tart, carrot cake or earl grey ice cream with shortbread for dessert so chose all three. Highly recommend. Overall, this experience is just that - an experience. Creaky floors, small staircases, old windows, and thin walls. That’s the charm of staying somewhere that’s authentic and over 100 years old. The added bonus is the wonderful staff, the general store espresso bar with lovely gifts, the sauna, the location, the views, and the attention to detail around the property. I can’t wait to return.

- Ted (7/5): - Great location. The old world charm needs some updating.
- Nicholas (10/5): Romantic get away to lavish historic cabin site. - The whole environment was so peaceful, beautiful, and historic. It was a truly magical place. And everything was so cozy and lavishly designed. I wanna have my wedding here. Special points were the rooms, the sunset from the dock, dinner, and the free yoga! Nothing
- DayTrip16013865096 (10/5): Dream getaway on Whidbey Island - Like a scene from a Wes Anderson film. The grounds are stunning, staff was incredibly friendly, rooms were cozy and clean and the food was fantastic. We will be back 100%
- jennalfree (10/5): Charming, warm weekend - Went to Captain Whidbey for a friend’s 50th birthday weekend and I can’t believe I’d never been before, as I travel to Whidbey a lot. Everything was incredible- especially the setting and the charm of the main room and dining room. The staff was warm and helpful, the food delicious, and the whole experience was so memorable. Now I am trying to figure out how to do an event there myself!
- 953michaelh953 (10/5): Charming and cozy - Perfect spot. Highly recommend this charming spot, have been multiple times and it keeps getting better. Exceptional food, staff and rooms
- Excursion31294902029 (10/5): Was at a bday celebration that took over the whole inn - Lovely spot run by super nice folx
Great coffee and merch in the “general store”
The lakeside cabins seem the best to stay in if you can swing it
More privacy and more space and stunning views
- dnarobertson1234 (10/5): January Magic - I was reluctant to go here in January but I have to say it was so magical! The perfect place for a whole bunch of friends to gather. Good food, good design, sauna, hanging around the campfire. Highly recommend going with a crew. Well done
- R3958YDjoang (10/5): The perfect inn - Whidbey was perfection. Beautiful setting! I was in the lagoon room so cozy and comfortable with a beautiful view. Delicious food. Love the ease of the general store! Great food selections. And most importantly the lovely staff!
- 144ethanl (10/5): Awesome Place to Gather Your People - Such a wonderful place to gather with a group of friends, get cozy and enjoy the serenity. I went with my wife for a friends birthday celebration and it was the perfect place to unwind and celebrate. Would love to come back again soon!
- ShellLeann (10/5): Fairytale Stay - Whimsical with every cozy vibe a place can hold. Came for a friend’s birthday retreat. Yoga was wonderful. Staff was joyful and superb. Rooms were awesome.
- B2808YUmattw (10/5): Homey Sense of Family with Friends and Music and Great Vibe - I spent the weekend at a full property takeover of the Captain Whidbey Inn, and I'm so happy that this was the location because the old world elegance matched with the down home vibe made for an unforgettable weekend. Highly recommend the sauna followed by cold plunge!
- shannonbJ3364EI (10/5): Honeymoon suite with friends - We loved every single thing about it! The honeymoon suite was so lovely with a bathtub in the middle of the room, clear bright air to luxuriate in with views from the deck outside, looking over the lagoon and watching the birds, it was all ideal. Especially being a guest at a 50th birthday. Perfect.
- B4925SEbrianh (10/5): Big group party oasis! - Great staff. Great grounds. It’s rare to find a place where the staff genuinely love taking care of their guests. Here’s one!
- Curiosity311051 (10/5): We'll be back!! - An absolutely incredible stay from start to finish.
The staff was exceptional: warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming in a way that makes you feel cared for without it ever feeling forced.
Our room was super comfortable, cozy, and the perfect place to relax after a day of great food and atmosphere.
We will definitely be back and can’t recommend this place highly enough. A truly special experience.
Oh and the coffee shop delcioussss
- 888andyv (10/5): Great place to make memories - The Captain is a truly magical place. The views, the food, the rooms; all top notch. It’s so so special and I can’t wait to
Come Back!
- 889nikib (10/5): A magical stay - My husband and I had a magical weekend at Captain Whidbey. We had never been to the island before, but they made us feel at home and we had a wonderful stay.
- daniellR7413MG (10/5): The Sazerac - Loved everything at captain Whidbey. Location, amenities, staff, food and drink. The Sazerac alone was worth the trip
- toniat479 (10/5): A relaxing escape steeped in Whidbey Island history - I booked us a room at the original inn at Captain Whidbey Inn for my husband's 40th birthday and from the moment we arrived we felt cozy, comfortable, and surrounded by history. The setting of the inn is situated high above Penn Cove with clear views of Mt Baker and the Cascades. It didn't take us long to slow down and leave the hustle of our workweeks behind. The rooms are rustic, cozy, and full of character and feel authentic to the property's history, and the amenities are clean, updated and well appointed.
If you’re looking for an authentic Whidbey Island experience that feels timeless. We both left feeling restored and can't wait to plan our next trip!
- Janah (10/5): Restful - The cozy cabin vibe! The complimentary healthy snacks, incredible restaurant, and attentive staff.
- Lindi (10/5): -
- NHON (10/5): Beautiful location with lots of charm! - The location and setting was amazing. The staff were super helpful and very accommodating. The onsite restaurant was delicious and had lots of vegetarian options for us. The yoga room was a nice amenity. I wish there was an outdoor ahower next to the sauna.
- Skyler (10/5): -
- Mara (8/5): - View nice-appreciated the lobby being open 24/7 since the room had no indoor seating options-only beds. Liked the nice porch chairs and all th outdoor seating options in both areas-lagoon and Penn Cove. I really liked the in room coffee option of pour over, vs having those annoying pod machines. Real half n half was also a nice touch. For the price paid-the bathroom tiled/grout were in need of repair. The bathroom/shower room just needed a little sprucing up. Had to ask for cream and there were no napkins out with the coffee service
- Leah (9/5): -
- 15thomv (2/5): Float Plane to Penn Cove - The Inn is a quaint waterfront resort..In the past we’ve had the unique experience to arrive by float plane from Seattle..After a recent visit to Fred Hutch cancer center we planned to take Kenmore Air from South Lake Union to the Inn for a victory celebration. We disappointedly were informed by the air service that a recent renovation of the Inn’s dock precluded the possibility of a float plane approach. A sad loss of a special treat..Guess we’ll be in the ferry line.
- OnAir33479002396 (10/5): Captain Whidbey Inn - Charming - Dream scape insta-able, vintage 1800s Northwest Explorer Vibe, Heritage hotel with new portion (the lagoon) and a new new portion (The cabins) all priced accordingly, across the street from state park, absolutely the coolest thing going on on the Whidbey Island, locals mix with international flavor in the tiny bar, farm to table fair at the main dining. HIgh end design with wool blanket nice thick cotton sheets, and vintage glamour abound. The main lodge is a log cabin, so if you want room service, and TV's on the wall and your screaming at the front desk for your ice, Please stay home, Hilton and Marriot have you covered. If you want Penn cove muscles, a great barista, a killer bartender, a yoga room and sauna, and cool chill local personalities, this is your place.
- Patricia (9/5): Enjoyable one night stay, with lovely staff, in a very comfortable, tastefully decorated for the time period, enjoyed t - Being updated to the big room across the hall from the bathrooms, so seemed like an ensuite 🙂 Lovely older property sympathetically and very tastefully done..So comfy and cosy and good very good in the restaurant..though very expensive, a treat..
- Flyer299263 (6/5): Disappointed! - Overall, disappointed. The marketing team is doing a great job because I had captain whidbey on my radar for months because of the marketing/site/social and was so excited to stay there. Left feeling like I splurged on a beautiful and trendy but rundown and cheap feeling amenities spot.
BUT, the grounds are lovely but the cost is not worth it. Rooms didn't have a super clean feel to them, products were okay, a lamp didn't work, towels were TERRIBLE, like itchy crappy motel 6 towels. Ridiculous because for the cost to stay, you expect nicer elements.
Room needs upgrading. Also, really weird to me to pay extra for a room with a private bathroom.
I don't think captain whidbey is worth the cost, at least not the lagoon room i stayed in. maybe it's more fun to split a cabin with friends but are there private bathrooms in there? The bathroom part is not clear.
The walls are super thin (understand these are old buildings) and i was lucky that there happened to be no one below or next to me because if so, it would have felt like staying in a crappy old college apartment, hearing neighbors. First night, I kept hearing banging and realized it was the partition door out on the deck, hitting the building from the wind. I was able to put a chair there to kind of tighten it in but upgrading to avoid these kinds of things goes a long way.
The property is lovely, the staff is awesome, but overall the cost to stay at captain whidbey, if you are looking for a quiet but fun and luxury getaway (over $200 a night is not considered affordable), is not equal to what you get.
If I lived in the area, I'd visit the bar for the vibes though!
- Quest15536877076 (8/5): Great place to kick back and relax! - Loved the Captain Whidby Inn - I would go back for sure. The restaurant food is beyond delicious - make sure to make a reservation or you won't get in!
- Lisa (8/5): Amazing location, best food, loved our stay here! Will go back for sure!!! - Beautiful room, the grounds are spectacular and the food in the restaurant was beyond our expectations! Would go back for sure again. Loved this location. Friendliness of front counter staff person was lacking when we checked in. Quite rude.
- adamdlasky (10/5): Make it happen, stay at the Captain! - My wife and I (along with our pup) just returned from an unforgettable overnight stay at Captain Whidbey Inn. We've lived in WA for a long time and have never stayed here - what were we waiting for??!! This hotel is fantastic - tucked away on Penn Cove. The hotel is quaint, adorable, well-provisioned, relaxing, comfortable, and in a beautiful setting. The communication before arrival was excellent (I love that you can pre-order amenities to have in your room), check-in was quick and easy, our room was incredibly comfortable and had everything we needed - instant relaxation. We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant (we were lucky enough to have live music the night we were there) and a delicious breakfast from the general store the morning of our checkout. We LOVED the pour-over coffee in the room! 5 bubbles all the way!
We can't wait to get back - highly recommend!

- Chicago_IllinoisJoy (10/5): Dream-like wedding at the Captain Whidbey Inn. - Our daughter had her wedding at The Captain Whidbey Inn October 4th. I’ve been on Cloud Nine ever since. The entire weekend was phenomenal! The staff went above and beyond to create a dream-like wedding. The venue is gorgeous, offering a true Pacific Northwest experience. The food, the beverages, the welcoming staff were all amazing and made our entire family and wedding guests feel at home. Our daughter and her new husband could not be happier, and neither could I. I look at the pictures from the wedding, and am transported back. I can’t wait to return and relive such a special time in the life of our family.
If you’re considering a wedding here, I can’t possibly recommend it enough. Truly, the Captain Whidbey Inn is a magical place. It is forever etched in our family’s collective memory.
- Margaret (6/5): very lovely place; very poor customer service - comfortable bed and the view was lovely the staff was poorly informed about restaurant hours of operation resulting in us missing the opportunity for dinner by 7 minutes and no accommodations were made to correct this - it was appalling customer service. The following morning, the coffee bar was not prepared as published and we waited for staff to attend to it even after being asked.
- Shelly (10/5): -
- E2986PJjamieh (10/5): Great place to slow down and enjoy a great sleep, meal, and drinks. - I had such a wonderful stay at Captain Whidbey. The grounds and views were stunning, and my room was spotless and stocked with delicious pour-over coffee. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, and I especially enjoyed a fantastic meal and drinks at the bar with excellent service from Amber and a kind welcome from Sean, their food and beverage director. Before heading home, I stopped by the general store for a delicious cappuccino and a tasty breakfast burrito, which made the perfect send-off. With its beautiful setting, it’s the perfect place to slow down and unwind.
- Angie (10/5): - Very cozy and thoughtful stay. A great place to unwind.
- Holly (10/5): - Cute, clean rooms. Beautiful property on the water so very relaxing. Only stayed one night, but check in process was very quick and easy. Would definitely return
- K2288INmaryj (10/5): An Historical Lodge with great service that provides Tranquility - It's our first time visited the island. Had chosen Captain Whidbey's Lodge due to the historical value with interesting background. We came to celebrate a special occasion not knowing how it'd be. I have mobility issue, but were impressed how the hotel had accommodate my stay. The time of the year was perfect, cooler but sunny. The lodging provided much tranquility. We had a great stay!
- Lauren (9/5): -
- zuponea (8/5): A cozy, calming spot! - Overall this was a beautiful property and grounds! Stayers should look forward to many areas of retreat with a view! This is definitely not the place to shell up in your room and watch tv (there are no tvs in the rooms) which we loved. Read, write, enjoy the sauna, and the views. Great fun can be had in Coupeville, Freeland, Langley!!
- WYNN (10/5): -
- Pamela (8/5): - The view over the small lagoon was great, the bed comfortable and I appreciated the drip coffee set up. Staff was friendly. We did not go to the property restaurant or the espresso store.
I would have really liked to have a microwave and small fridge for any leftovers.
- Glynda (8/5): -
- Michele (8/5): - Beautiful old property with water views. There's a little coffee shop with other items for breakfast and a dining room for dinner. Small but comfortable and quiet rooms.
- Olivia (8/5): Bien - Calme, au vert, bel environnement, grande chambre Chambre très mal insonorisée, heureusement les voisins étaient calmes. Accueil peu chaleureux
- Darren (9/5): Super welcoming and relaxing location and facilities. - Location and Renovated Historic Facilities.
The common lounges, bar and restaurant. The grounds around some of the annex buildings had construction materials and / or storage materials left out in an untidy manner, which made an aspect of the grounds seem messy.
- susanlL5510FS (10/5): Delightful, Beautiful, Old Charm Relaxation - My husband and I stayed at the Captain Whidbey Inn for our 47th anniversary. It was a lovely trip. The Inn has a wonderful staff who made our stay memorable. We stayed in the Glasswing Cabin. It was clean, comfortable and very private with gorgeous views ot Penn Cove. We saw sea otters, cranes and whales from our deck, The dining room dinner was fabulous!
Tip: Bring binoculars!
- Freefield (4/5): The room size, lighting and other small things all added up to significant disappointment. - Bed was comfortable, and staff are very nice and helpful. Lodge room is so poorly lit that we needed our headlamps for everything except brushing teeth. Lodge room is so very tiny for two people. Must move sideways on far side of bed and to get around the sink. Only one side of bed has a night stand; if that were only issue, we wouldn’t mention it.
Drom outside the room, the doorknob does not turn enough that the door can be closed quietly; it should work as well as it does from inside the room. I assume staff have noticed this. This means tha, during the night, when one person goes to use the bathroom, the noise wakes the other person.
Finally, the tasting menu was uneven. Some dishes were worthy; others were disappointing.
- Emily (10/5): -
- federico (8/5): -
- Susan (10/5): - Beautiful, awesome.
- Cynthia (10/5): - Only wish we could have stayed longer!!
- Melobriendallas66 (10/5): 5 STARS for Captain Whidbey! - Captain Whidbey Inn is a WONDERFUL retreat away from the hustle and bustle of busy city life, in a magical location on Whidbey Island. We had a room overlooking the lagoon, and it was absolutely STUNNING. We took beautiful strolls, watched a bald eagle from our room, and watched the morning sunrises with anticipation. The weekends are great with s'mores in the lodge, and the bar is fun and friendly. We will definitely be back!
- Mary (8/5): - Beautiful location and facility. Clean. Receptionist showed me to my our room and pointed out the facilities. Arrived and wanted to get a drink at the bar, but the bar is closed until 4 pm. The restaurant was closing as well. No breakfast.
- Steven (10/5): - Fabulous location, nice rooms and grounds, quaint old main building, good food and live music.
- Susan (9/5): It was a great base for exploring Whidbey island. - Very relaxing and scenic. We had a great dinner in the restaurant. The coffee bar was also very good. Shower was dimly lit. The weather was exceptionally warm, a ceiling fan would have been nice. The walls were thin. Earplugs should be recommended.
- 696Julia843 (4/5): Thank the Lawd for the views! - We came for a wedding (which was lovely)....Review of the Inn: The views and rustic charm of the main building are the high-points of this place. The draw-backs are the prices, a surly front desk person (we re-named it "The Cap't Bligh Inn"), and the more shabby than chic cabins. For the price, I definitely expected a MUCH more luxurious, crisp and clean Inn. The farm to table food was good & other than the unfortunately grumpy front desk person (maybe she's not cut out for a hospitality career?), it was a good stay and a great wedding! This property has historic charm and hopefully it can up its game to match its prices.
- Pat (10/5): Magical - Unique accommodations. Beautiful location. Lots of things to do on site.
- Emily (5/5): It felt like really high priced camping, not a resort. - The property is very pretty and felt like summer camp The road noise, the paper thin walls, the extremely hard-as-rock bed, the super squeaky wooden decking so you felt like you’d wake all the other people if you left early, the unprofessionalism of the front desk staff. The guy was eating pizza as he checked us in.
- kleverini (6/5): All form, no function - This hotel is super quaint, charming, authentic, historic. They have done a great job with the decor. BUT there is an overemphasis on form over function. While the design elements were all dialed in, more emphasis was needed on the customer experience. Throughout our stay, small things (wait times for service, impractical things like a bathrobe without a sash, issues with the shared bathroom) eroded our experience. Overall felt overpriced for what you get, unless all you care about is design.
- Charles (8/5): - Overall a positive experience, the staff was great, the grounds are beautiful. I do not feel like the room was worth the value paid. I stayed in the main lodge and you can hear everything around you. You can clearly hear conversations next door, outside, and below.
- amhwohl (4/5): Wildly overpriced - I really wanted to love this place after seeing the website and reading about it. Then we stayed there. It is wildly overpriced for a tiny room with no amenities. When we first checked in, they tried to give us a room that looked out on the vent fan from the kitchen, which smelled like grease and was very loud. We paid an extra $30 to move across the hall to a room with a water view, which was nice. But the rooms are so small that once you open your suitcase, there is no room to even walk around without tripping. No place to sit other than the bed (there was a wooden bench against the wall). Common areas are dark and uninviting, the wifi was unstable, and the water pressure was weak. I would not go back and feel like we wasted our money. There is a fine line between quaint and broken down, and this place leans to the latter. No breakfast, so we left early so that we could breathe and have something to eat.
- Mary Mikel (10/5): Magical - One word…magical. We loved it so much I really hope my son gets married there!
- Nicholas (9/5): Incredible getaway just a short drive from Seattle! - From the moment that you pull up to this location and enter through the very beautiful unique entrance, you know that the stay is going to be special. The grounds around the hotel are spectacular as well as the amenities. Being able to sit by a fire pit and watch the sun go down over the water was an incredible moment to have as was being able to get coffee and sit in the sauna the next day. The food in the restaurant was fantastic as were the drinks. However, some of the staff were not the friendliest, and there was a lot of confusion about who can eat at the restaurant and who could not that kind of ruined the vibe of having dinner there on location.
- Fai (8/5): Very good -
- Donald (10/5): - We loved this place! It was so refreshing to stay at a place that didn't feel like it was ran by a corporation. Wish we could've stayed longer.
- Allie (10/5): Exceptional - Fun, wonderful location, great staff.
- Tolpa (6/5): It was OK. Did enjoy the sauna once we figured out how to get it started. - The first night was a nightmare. A guest had a breakdown of some sort and we could not sleep as all the racket was outside our room. There were two sheriffs and three medics talking loudly in the middle of the night. Unfortunately, the receptionist was not interested in discussing the incident because she may have to offer a discount.
Second night was loud to begin with since it was raining, the guests were gathered in the reception area directly below our room. It slowly quieted down and we were able to get some rest.
- Meital (9/5): Superb -
- Kathryn (10/5): - Such a beautiful old historic lodge. It was super great for nostalgic purposes. Beautiful view of Penn Cove from our room, superb cocktails and dessert from the bar, roaring fireplace in the lounge, clean and spacious shared bathrooms. Slow bar and dessert service from the lounge but to be fair there were only 3 women serving the entire very busy restaurant. Front desk was very efficient. It was fun to explore the well maintained grounds. We will always stay here anytime we visit anywhere on Whidbey Island and will definitely recommend it to friends.
- Dean (7/5): Good - The room and the lagoon setting were marvelous. Wait service at the restaurant seemed puzzled by simple issues and requests - and the flow of service seemed haphazard, with a 30 minute wait for the appetizer, which the server hadn't seemed to be aware of. A notice that one of our party was a pescatarian resulted in a dish served with pork belly.
- Skartvedt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (10/5): - Such a lovely stay!
- Jeff (8/5): Pleasant stay. - Very nice log cabin. Rustic but nice.
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional -
- ritamM926TY (10/5): Relaxing and Peaceful Getaway - My daughter, son in law and I enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing two night stay at Captain Whidbey Inn. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The food and drinks were excellent. Great place to read and breathe. I plan to return!
- Coleen (9/5): Superb - Soooo much charm and the ppl who work there outstanding!. Restaurant was yummy Little on the pricey side and can here neighbors, but this would not prevent me from coming back
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Madeline (10/5): Exceptional - So relaxing and beautiful in nature
- Emily (10/5): - Great place. Cozy beds and nice staff. Excellent bar too! The shared shower needs a wider shower curtain.
- Lisa (9/5): It was delightful - Beautiful property I wish they had a small fridge in the room
- Robin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wei (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dedra (10/5): - The food and drinks were EXCELLENT.
- robin (10/5): - Beautiful property and location. All of the jet noise was a bit unexpected. Interesting side note, it’s cheaper to reserve a room on-line than it is in person. We reserved a room while we were in line.
- Thomas (9/5): Superb - An incredibly well kept establishment which has maintained its beautiful charm. We were booked for one night but had to stay another. Sitting right on the water, the view is breathtaking. It's a quiet peaceful oasis. Highly recommend for those looking to get away from the routine of a busy life. Initially I didn't like the idea of a shared bathroom, but we were there in late May and it was not busy, so the bathroom was great.
- Kelsey (10/5): - We always enjoy our time at the Captain Whidbey. The staff are amazing and very helpful, and the rooms are always in great shape. The views also can't be beat!
- Claudia (10/5): - I love Whidbey, very pet friendly, the most amazing room, shower, smells so yummy for the lotion and hair products, even being to make tea in your room. As well the views are so beautiful from your room. As well plenty go space to walk around and felt safe

- camillew573 (2/5): Unhelpful staff, not worth the steep prices - Let me start with the positive - the island is beautiful and the hotel does have a nice camping vibe.
On to the negative:
- Value for money. This hotel is EXTREMELY overpriced. However, I knew this when I booked it and didn't mind at the time because this was an anniversary trip. I booked four months in advance however by the time we checked in the price had decreased by 200 dollars. When we called two weeks before to see if we could cancel and rebook or at least get some voucher, we were given a lecture. Hard to see the value in something when it could easily be discounted $200. Moral of the story - do not prebook.
Hotel Staff - After this phone call, I still tried to have a positive experience. However, starting with the check in, we felt that the staff was unhelpful and rude at times. We had our IDs checked multiple times throughout the same dinner and although we were given drink vouchers with the cost of our room, the servers seemed confused why we were trying to use them. When we asked the front desk about the fire pits which we could clearly see people using, the woman at the desk was confused what we were talking about. I could go on but I think you get the idea.
In summation, if you have an extra 500 dollars to throw away, be my guest however I personally had a negative experience and would not recommend. And if you do go - do NOT prebook months in advance.
- j4stern (10/5): AWESOME PLACE TO STAY! - First time visitor to Washington and could not have found a better place to visit/stay. The Inn, built in 1907, has so much character. A casual feel with exceptional service. The views are awesome! The location is situated for easy access all around the island. A must stay for first time visitors or those looking to getaway for a weekend adventure.
