There was an overhead door for the pool so you could go out in the sun after swimming, the breakfast area was nice, clean and spacious. It was close to everything and relaxing. Staff was all kind and helpful. I have nothing negative to say.

Hotel was aesthetically pleasing with many great photos of the area on walls. Breakfast offerings were good. Air conditioner in the room did not work. We did tell the front desk, and they came and reset it but never cooled. We were not offered another room. It was late and we were tired, so we slept uncomfortably vs asking someone to come back.

- mrslindaross (10/5): A Beautiful Lodge in Escalante, Utah - My husband and I enjoyed our two night stay at Canyon County Lodge. The location was perfect. We had a beautiful, spacious, comfortable king room on the second floor. We enjoyed breakfast both mornings. The hotel was quiet and the staff was friendly.

- Tamara (8/5): Good place to stay in Escalante - Very comfortable; large rooms with place to sit; large bathrooms and showers ; very kind staff (front desk staff and breakfast staff who whips up the delicious buttermilk syrup.) Nice ambiance with a country lodge feel. We did not use the pool, but it was a used by families with kids. For dinner, there are limited options. I recommend 4th West pub which has great nachos, burgers and paninis and very friendly staff. Nothing we didn’t like except that there is no restaurant at the hotel and you have a short drive to get dinner. Also, the doors to the room bang shut. Maybe a notice on the doors would help for people to hold the door to shut it so it does not bang loudly.

- 732colbyc (8/5): Overall, pretty good - The location is pretty good, just off the main road that runs through Escalante. The atmosphere was good in the lobby and in the room. The lobby and room were both clean. We had arrived earlier than the check-in time hoping to check in early, but nobody was in the lobby. When we got there later, there was a phone in which we were supposed to call to get service. The room itself was very spacious which was nice. The AC unit in the room was not working very well and was quite noisy. The blinds covering the windows also weren’t very effective and blocking the light from the parking lot. There was also a strange smell in the room. Not a bad smell, just weird. The complimentary breakfast was the worst I’ve had from a hotel. I wouldn’t recommend it if that’s something you’re looking at. Overall though, the hotel was nice. I little too pricey in my opinion for the level of service and amenities, but I enjoyed my stay.

- Byron (10/5): Great hotel option in Escalante. - The service was great, and the room was really clean and well kept. I also appreciated the amenities, including breakfast, dinner (not included in room charge), and EV charging stations. I will stay again the next time I'm in town. Not a lot to dislike about this hotel. A part of the toilet broke during our stay but the staff fixed it immediately. The only downside of the hotel is that it was quite loud. We heard quite a bit of noise coming from other hotel rooms.

Spacious rooms, fridge, microwave, flat screen TV and view of mountains. Elegant foyer entry, friendly and helpful staff. No elevator to second floor rooms but quiet overall with a pool and hot tub which many were enjoying while we stayed here. Dining room served by one server - food was slow to come out of the kitchen but good quality, evening meal. Overall, very lovely stay in a super small town with many local sights to explore. Recommended!!

We were camping at/near all of the big 5 parks of Utah. Laundry facilities on site, a gym and hot tub. And they had an option for dinner on site. Our room and bath were very clean with furniture that allowed for setting down a lot of items that could remain visible. Breakfast did not have a lot of options. I recall being disappointed because the rest of the facility is exceptional. No pancake or waffle machine.

The staff are super friendly (front desk, breakfast server). Our room was very clean and comfortable. There is a restaurant on the property that was decent. The hot tub, with convenient towels in the lobby, is a nice touch. The hot breakfast was far better than what you usually get a hotel. Nothing.

It was processed food with little taste We also ate at the restaurant and had the chicken fried steak. It was not good pretty tasteless and the instant mashed potatoes which were pretty bad. The vegetables were tasteless and appeared to have frozen vvegetables. Whole meal not impressive.Room okay food horrible

- SueJ277 (10/5): Beautiful Place to Stay! - This was our first stay at this property and we will definitely be back. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large and there was plenty of space on the vanity for toiletries, etc. I would have guessed the hotel was under a couple of years old and was surprised to learn it is eight years old. It is beautifully maintained.
- danielle (10/5): - The good. The hotel is very nice and has an indoor pool and jacuzzi we used. They also had a free breakfast which was nice. We just used this as a stopover and ate at a restaurant in the little town called the outfitters for great pizza. The bad. We had hope to do the slot canyon tours there but realized escalante didnt really have any tours there to do it. The tour was out of Bryce which was an hour away so that didnt make sense. And there were no rental atvs or anything to get there because it was a long gravelly unpaved road about 10 miles to get there. We didnt want to use the rental car on a long bumpy road. So we felt we kind of wasted a day there. Other than that the hotel is very nice to stay at, probably the best one in this little town

The property remains a gem in the heart of Escalante, and a perfect post-up place and base camp for hiking Grand Staircase locations in the area. Brent and his team at Canyon Country are exceptionally friendly and available for anything you need! The location is great and accessibility, parking, facilities are all top notch. This is a great room and a great value. Highly Recommended!!!!

- Lorraine (10/5): - After a long day of travel we were very happy to find this gem in Escalante! It was bright and airy, with beautiful decor and large rooms. The pool and hot tub were excellent. We even ate in the hotel restaurant and had a delicious meal. There is not much in the town but we were just between national parks so went on the next day.
