Guest Reviews
- Roger (8/5): - The whole experience was good, I would stay again. Nothing to complain about.
- davidsC9106JU (10/5): The Inn at Woodhall Spa - Love this place, right in the heart of the stunning town of Woodhall Spa. Great food and a large selection of draught beers. Pricing is very reasonable, and parking is free! Great day out for all in a place that is reminiscent of small-town USA.
- John (9/5): Enjoyed excellent stay, highly recommended. - Hotel surpassed expectations, very comfy, large bathroom and pleasant decor. Hotel has traditional feel to it with modern facilities. Enjoyed excellent meal in bar area and breakfast very good with good selection. Staff very helpful. Highly recommend. Just one comment on negative side, could have done with blind in bedroom as was very light in the early morning with just the lightweight curtains.
- Rob (8/5): -
- Trevor (6/5): Nice but slightly disappointing. - Bed, car park, bar. Bathroom. For a superior room we would have expected a separate bath and shower. Nowhere to put towel near the bath. No lift to 2nd floor.
No headboard on bed causing discomfort.
Damp patch on wall.
- Paul (8/5): - Friendly staff, good food and comfy bed and room. Rooms at front noisy.
- Windle (9/5): Exactly what we required. - Good room, food and friendly helpful team.
- HENRY (8/5): -
- Steve (7/5): Decent Value Option for No Frills Stay - Great position, generally very young but friendly staff Rooms and showers a bit basic but met expectations for what I wanted.
- Jason (10/5): -
- Merv (8/5): -
- melinis (7/5): Staff are very good, hotel just needs updating if they are going to charge those prices. - Breakfast was OK, Room was nice and bed was small but comfortable. Quite a bit of money for a hotel of that standard in April
- Mark (8/5): -
- sallyredford1 (10/5): Lunch for Mothering Sunday. - Went for the Sunday Roast for Mothering Sunday. As usual it was delicious. Meat cooked to perfection with plenty of vegetables that you helped yourself to. Never disappointed just wish you were a bit nearer Spalding we would come more often.
- PRESTEDGE (7/5): -
- Heather (9/5): Great stay, friendly staff, good food - Centrally located, breakfast was lovely, staff very friendly and welcoming Nothing
- anthonywG9014XK (6/5): Toilet smells - We visited the Inn twice last year and in both occasions commented to the bar staff about the smell of stale urine in the gents toilets. Just called again and the pub is great but the toilets still stink what a let down for a cracking village
- Lat (8/5): Nice and relaxed for a short break - Food was great staff friendly location brill Nothing
- Ben (6/5): -
- Jeff (7/5): Great value for money. Very clean. Property need some care. Looking very tired. - Clean and spacious Property is looking tired and need of renovation

- M4095JWdarrenw (2/5): Its gone down hill!! - We have been to woodhall now for the past three years and have to say that its been great in the past. However what we have witnessed during the recent visit I unfortunately won't be going back.
The staff were rude, the facilities have dilapidated. The customer service was the worst I've ever seen and doesn't do this beautiful area / village justice. For any larger groups attending for the golf. I wouldnt bother go to the golf hotel, at least you might get a smile.
Such a shame
- ambservices2011 (2/5): Overall good experience unfortunately let down by a select few & lack of communication - Awful customer service & poor communication following questions around opening hours - The inexperienced individuals in the image attached think it’s acceptable to take the attached picture on one of the groups mobile following questionable conversations.
Thank you to the front desk and breakfast staff for their hospitality, food, location & service fantastic let down by a select few.
Large group of 18 on our second visit will not be returning
- Craig (9/5): Great Stay In Woodhall - Excellent hotel and well positioned! Nothing to report
- Lincolnshirewolder (8/5): Lunch - Lovely, generous, freshly made tuna mayonnaise and coronation chicken sandwiches, served with ample side salad.
- Jenifer (5/5): Not as good as it used to be - The location is great for us,we like to go to Coningsby and watch the Typhoons Wasn't impressed with our room, the bed wasn't all that comfy. The bathroom was small the bath took too much room, there wasn't a lot of room between the toilet and the bath, we prefer a walk in shower. Next visit I'll make a request to not be allocated that room again.
- Darren (10/5): Excellent, - Location, how friendly the staff were , great breakfast and very clean Nothing
- wing (10/5): i would choose this hotel again for my next visit in the area - location, staff, breakfast nothing
- Mark (10/5): -
- Jacques (8/5): - Great location, breakfast lovely, bar food good, very friendly staff.
- peterlI925KM (10/5): Great Sunday carvery - Had Sunday lunch at the Inn with friends. Always book as it gets busy. Have been before and always get a great meal.
Served as a carvery the choice is beef, pork or turkey. You can help yourself to a huge selection of freshly prepared vegetables, roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings. Food is always hot, fresh and delicious.
All for £15.50, such good value. Have booked again for a few weeks time
- Vivienne (10/5): - Always welcoming. Lovely place
- John (5/5): -
- Peter (9/5): Great overnight stay - Great location for shops and local amenities. Nice big room very clean and comfortable, friendly and helpful staff all round. Nothing
- Kathryn (10/5): -
- jonathan (7/5): -
- Sarah (8/5): -
- Mary (8/5): - Breakfast was fine, location good, room good.
Never understand why do they put people with disabilities on the second floor.
- Julie (6/5): Good location. Would not return unfortunately. - Clean room. Comfortable bed
Hot water, good water pressure
Good location and parking. Breakfast was poor. Cooked items were cold. Very disappointing.
Tables were sticky.
Some areas of the hotel were tired looking, needed painting.
- Amanda (8/5): Comfortable hotel, good location - Great location on the Main Street Bar closed early
- Adrian (8/5): We are both extremely satisfied - The Breakfast had been put out to early.
We found it slightly cold even it had been under a hot plate equipment.
But it was nicely presented with helpful staff. We could have done with a walk in shower.
Due to my wife’s condition.
- Colin (10/5): -
- kim (8/5): -
- Agustin (6/5): - La ubicación
- Amanda (8/5): Nice few days with friends - Good sized room and bed, huge bathroom Breakfast buffet was very ordinary, would have been nice to have some cook to order options
- Rachel (9/5): A lovely mini break in a beautiful hotel and place. - Excellent, friendly attentive staff, very impressed. Nothing
- Tracy (8/5): -
- Tracy (5/5): Great location, lovely building , but the room was very basic , bed uncomfortable and not value for money at all. - Great location, and lovely looking building The bed was very uncomfortable as it was lumpy and I could feel springs sticking out from it, so I didn’t sleep well. Was frustrating too that there was nothing in the shower cubicle to put your gel or anything, so it had to be the floor, not ideal, just a shelf would have been useful.
- Karen (10/5): - The whole package
- joanne (10/5): -
- Lynn (10/5): Lovely hotel in Woodhall Spa - Very good position and facilities Second floor access by stairs only
- Exley (9/5): -
- Christopher (7/5): Nice hotel but loud noise all night kept me awake!! - The hotel was nice, clean and the staff friendly. The evening meal and breakfast were good. I had room 17. I slept very badly!! All night long there was a terrible intermittent roaring noise and vibration which kept me awake all night!! I asked what this was and was told it was the cooling machine for the cellar!!
- Linda (8/5): Nice stay with friendly staff - Location staff cleanliness Breakfast was ok
- Christopher (10/5): Wonderful to meet such pleasant people. - We really enjoyed our stay with this hotel. The staff were all exceedingly polite, interactive and efficient. We should certainly stay there again as a refuge in the busy storm of our lives, building our businesses and creating jobs in the UK and Europe. maybe next year we shall have a full week's holiday. Providing this Government does not reduce our efforts to expand.
- Andrew (8/5): -
- Greg (9/5): -
- Sarah (9/5): Lovely room, great food , fluffy towels and plenty of hot water. Nice little village between Lincoln and the coast. - Very clean room. Good welcome and fab breakfast. There wasn’t anything to complain about.
- Paul (7/5): Adequate, but not exceptional. - Great location, nice room, friendly staff. Suited our needs. Breakfast wasn’t great, usual pre-cooked buffet, overcooked eggs, had to ask for bread/toast as none was put out (unusual for a buffet style, serve yourself)
- Vivienne (10/5): -
- Joan (7/5): -
- Pete1886 (8/5): -
- John (8/5): Good but could be better if some paint deployed selectively - Great location. Room is functional and but dated. Areas in hallways badly damaged by assume cleaning trolleys. Distracts from downstairs areas that are far more polished.
- Angela (9/5): - Location and Breakfast Very plain room and dated Bathroom
- Bishell (5/5): Overall the water was lovely and hot and the shower was amazing. - We only had the breakfast once as the bacon was hardly cooked the eggs were hard. And was only just warm.
The bedroom, I had a small space to walk through as wardrobe was by the bed and became tricky getting in and out of bed through the night. The roo. Needed some care I.e painting and some repair needed.
- GLENN (8/5): Enjoyable and comfortable would recommend a stay. - Breakfast was very reasonable.
Room was very nice. Bathroom was extremely large but not very well designed. No shelf to put your toothbrush ect on. Nothing to put your clothes on when having a bath or shower .
- Richard (8/5): Easy location next to England golf - Next to golf facility
- patten (10/5): - Staff went above and beyond...the lady on the reception was lovely.. nothing was too much trouble..The lady at breakfast was so kind and Darren the night porter was just amazing...so kind
- Anthony (10/5): Wedding stay - The inn was very nice. Everywhere was clean. The staff were very polite and friendly. The room was comfortable and very clean. Nothing
- David (6/5): The location is really good , staff are nice , the bar is nice , but would not stay again - The staff were nice the bar area and food was good The hotel is a little tired bathroom was really small, there was a lot of noise in the early hours and there was no reply when we called for the night porter so our stay was spoilt .
- carol (8/5): Very good and relaxing weekend - all very nice staff very helpful and pleasant. In the room it would have been nice if the hairdryer had a plug near the mirror. Everything else was very nice.
- mark (10/5): -
- Allan (2/5): Disappointing - Badly trained staff
- Kevin (8/5): -
- Mark (10/5): Excellent service - Excellent period design Nothing
- Kevin (8/5): A nice comfy place to stay. - Most things Rooms a bit dated
- Rene (9/5): -
- Exley (9/5): Lovely breakfast very welcoming very relaxed great bar food - Cosy friendly great location
- Angela (9/5): Good experience, plenty of hot towels & a hearty breakfast - Easy accessible with our golf clubs N/a
- ANDREW (10/5): - Central position
- rydider (6/5): Just ok - Myself & a friend visited to hopefully enjoy a chat & a nice cup of something.
It was a hot, sunny day but no outside umbrellas, so if you prefer to sit in the shade, then inside is the only option.
Compared to another local eatery, this one has some cleanliness issues.
Our inside table had a toilet roll under the leg to level it & the area could have certainly benefited from a clean!
Not the best in the area.
- Kerry (9/5): Nice hotel with very pleasant staff but a bit over priced for what it is. - The outside of the property is beautiful. It has some quirky features like the beautiful old windows. All of the staff that I met were really lovely and very helpful.
The breakfast was a self serve affair and was plentiful and delicious! It’s a little outdated inside. I felt the room was very over priced for such a tiny dated room. It was twice the price of similar rooms in other accommodation chains.

- mandy (9/5): -
- Karen (8/5): - The area, central setting and staff friendliness The room a bit sparse and outdated. 2 single beds pushed together (one mattress slightly higher )
- iangH8311UT (2/5): Refused to serve us at 1245 on a Sunday claiming they were too busy. - I called the restaurant a few days ago to ask if I could book lunch for 12. They said they only took bookings for the restaurant which was already fully booked but we could turn up and eat in the bar or outside (same menu) if there was space. We arrived at 1245. There was plenty of space in the bar for 12 or more people, space for 20+ plus space outside. We were about to purchase drinks. I asked if we could order food. The waitress said, "I'll go and check with the kitchen". She camme back and informed us they weren't taking any more orders for food (at 1245 on a Sunday!!!). "Why?", I asked. "We're already too busy", she replied. I can only guess the manager wasn't there and the kitchen didn't want the business.
Really poor. We won't be going there again!!!!

- JMP67 (8/5): -
- Evans (9/5): Well positioned for the surrounding area ,very welcoming and friendly staff making it a home from ho - Breakfast was superb in terms of quality 617 Squadron sports bar was closed due to staff shortages
- tonybrentnall (6/5): Disappointed. - We have visited mainly for Sunday lunch for many years. The quality and quantity remains at a high standard. Whilst we appreciate prices need to increase the latest one is over 20% Still great quality so ok. Unfortunately as well as a hefty price increase the meat portions/slices have reduced, they are slicing the meat so thin you would think they had used a razor blade. Come on be reasonable otherwise your business will suffer.
- Uma (7/5): OK for a short stay. - Breakfast was great. We ate one meal from the restaurant menu, that was good (fish and chips).
Location is great, lots of boutique shops and restaurants along the street outside the hotel, and a supermarket not too far away. Decor needs updating, especially in the rooms. There was no plug next to the mirror so it was not possible to use the hairdryer for stying your hair. A shower caddy of some sort would be good, nowherer to put your toiletires when having a shower.
- Andrew (7/5): A comfortable stay. - Room was fairly spacious; breakfast was good; reception staff were friendly and courteous. It was disappointing that no room could be found for me in the restaurant on Saturday evening, when there seemed to be tables available.
- David (7/5): Woodhall Spa a lovely town, worth visiting again. Would book again at The INN. - Fine looking hotel. Central. Great location. Easy to find. Easy checking in and out in. Single room clean and ok.
That's it! Room was situated above outside dining area and playground. Noisy till after 11.30pm.
