Guest Reviews
- idyoussef (10/5): Was beautiful and comfy staying in that riad, i recommend to everyone who's staying in Rabat to book in that hotel i - Location service cleanness
- Aurelien (8/5): -

- hpstubbs04 (10/5): Authentic and amazing -cannot fault it or Rabat ! - I cannot recommend the Road of Dar Kika Salaam highly enough ! We arrived a little too early to check into our room but immediately mint tea and cakes were brought whilst waited the 30 mins. Our room was beautiful ; with a mix of vintage furniture and coloured glass doors, it was peaceful and very comfortable. You will need to remind yourself that this isn’t Europe so don’t expect tea and coffee & coffee making facilities, but towels, hairdryer and bath robes , plus a large bottle of water are provide. The room was cleaned daily. The riad is beautiful- with mosaic tiles and fretwork all over - you can look up or down the 3 storeys to the atrium below - it’s a very beautiful building. Breakfast (or mid afternoon mint tea) is served in the dining room on an upper floor with a stunning view over the city to the Royal Theatre by Zaha Hadid on the horizon. The breakfast is excellent with different pastries every day, a choice of eggs, fruit , yoghurt and crème caramel with coffee and the ubiquitous mint tea. There is a wonderful roof terrace with sun beds and a covered Berber tent area which is a lovely way to spend a few hours in an afternoon - dipping (or fully plunging!) into the cool plunge pool. The sunsets are equally stunning to watch and with the calls from the minarets echoing over the city’s river, it is a true taste of Rabat. A tip: to find the Riad, choose the entrance opposite the Kasbah and it’s about 200 yds in. The staff (Abdel and his amazing team) organised a taxi for us to the airport. You can get the bus shuttle which we did when arriving but we were short on time on our departure day. Do visist the Kasbah, the Andalusian gardens (amazing !), the Cafe des Oudayas (through the gardens), the Chellah castle (we walked there and caught a Velotaxi on the way back- a brilliant experience), visit the Tour Hassan and stroll along the waterfront and beach.
- Anthony (9/5): Best of the three Rids we stayed at in Morocco … great location. - Great breakfast and nice rooftop venue. Awesome location! Very helpful staff. The shower was small and left much to be desired. Weren’t many dining options close by.

- Monika (10/5): Excelent location, wonderful Riada, friendly stuff, nice room, very good breakfast. - Absolutely amazing riada. Everything was great.
- Torsten (5/5): -
- Jaafar (8/5): - Great location and staff. Superb riad It has been loud since 8 am which made us sleep less. They should put quiet hours until 10 am
- Vivian (10/5): - Lovely riad with nice staff. The rooms and public spaces are as pictured. Everything was nice, but the kitchen closed a bit early for dinner.
- Barbara (7/5): - Wunderschönes Ambiente, sehr sehr freundliches Personal... Zudem kein buffet
- Helena (7/5): -
- Ines (9/5): - Stunning riad with a tasteful interior. The beds were among the most comfortable during our Morroco trip. The location of the riad is great - close to a street and many sights, while being in the medina.
Staff were respectful and polite.
The terrace for breakfast had a great view. We were offered a special new years dinner for 610 DH per person, which is a lot of money. The entrees were amazing as was the wine, but the main courses were bland and the vegetable tagine was only carrots, courgette and potatoes.
Additionally there was quite a bit of black mold in the bathroom, which I was not expecting from a Riad in this price range.
- Svetlana (7/5): -
- rabaiotti (9/5): - Posizione ideale
Bellezza della struttura e delle camere
Splendida terrazza
- Labrousse (8/5): -
- Ahmed (9/5): Beautifully and cosy - Very beautiful, clean and close to the city centre .
Nice friendly people at the reception .
Testy breakfast Room was cold at night even with heater on ( maybe heater wasn’t working fast enough)
- Veronika (10/5): Suite room 6 BaB Al Had - Great location, very nice staff and delicious food.
Beautiful interior design There was no kettle in the room :(
- Canioni (5/5): - Le personnel adorable.
- Marianne (10/5): "Absolutely enchanted by our stay in this stunning Rabat riad! The authentic Moroccan architecture a - The property was stunning. Staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The location was excellent.
Thank you
- rbmorris (10/5): Great Historic Stay in Rabat Medina - My friend and I had a great stay at DKS for a couple of days while visiting Rabat. It's centrally located making many of the city's attractions very walkable and multiple dining options nearby. The included breakfast was quite good. The hotel has wonderful historic character throughout the premises and the rooftop dining spot offers a nice panorama. The staff was extremely helpful and gracious throughout our stay. Overall it offered a good value and I'd definitely recommend DKS for a stay in Rabat.
- Chongyang (3/5): A disgrace - If you booked the suite, the room on 2 floor is decent, but furnitures and facilities got old. Location is okay, easy to get taxis. The cleaning crew did a good job. This hotel is poorly managed overall. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
Rude staff took extra from city tax. 16 euro was supposed to be 173 DH with the foreign exchange conversion which was agreed by a male staff, then one of the female staff insisted that we pay 180 DH with no reason given (she doesn’t speak much English either). This is a daylight robbery. If you want more money, put a higher price on Booking and stop embezzling your guests.
When we were checking out for our flight, the other female staff stopped us and asked us to pay the city tax AGAIN which almost got us missing our flight.
- Marlyn (7/5): Nice hotel with lovely staff . The junior suite does not have any window furnishings do the room is very light overnight - Good location , nice terrace , great breakfast The lack of curtains, blinds or shutters on in the suite bedroom . The room had too much light from street lights . Also tiny shower recess
- Russell (8/5): -
- Frederico (10/5): -
- Soukaina (10/5): -
- Georgi (9/5): Good for short stay, authentic - Abdel was so kind, friendly and helpful. It was our first time and first night in Morocco and he set the rest of our trip off to a very good start.
Our traditional suite was very ornate (with all the tiles on the walls) and felt very authentic, with original antique furniture. The bathroom and shower stall was VERY small and the room was facing a very noisy (at night) alley in the Medina - bring earplugs. The floors are original which is great but looked really really worn and felt not very clean.
The rooftop area seemed a bit abandoned - dying plants in pots, layer of dust everywhere and dirty pool. It’s such a missed opportunity. The view of the Kasbah is obstructed.
Overall not a bad place for short stay but way overpriced for the level of maintenance and comfort.
- Issam (1/5): Expérience à oublier! - Rien Mauvaise odeur!
- Helen (6/5): - Roof terrace for breakfast Dated worn furniture, poor cleanliness
Niente. Tutto perfetto!
- Yitzchak (10/5): - Excellent location inside the medina. Very friendly staff with attentive, personalized service—made sure everything was in order and that we had everything we needed.
- libbyseremet (10/5): Lovely Riad in a Great Location - This was our first Riad we stayed in and is where we spent our first two nights in Morocco.
The Riad is on beautiful. It sits on the edge of the Medina, perfectly located. Two minutes away, there is a parking lot off the main road that is great for pick up and drop off. It’s also directly across from the Oudayas.
The staff was extremely accommodating, fielded many questions from us, and provided some great recommendations. We also enjoyed our breakfasts on the patio overlooking Rabat. Thank you for a lovely visit!
- Muhammad (10/5): - Nice place, good rooftop views and great service.
- romani (8/5): Tres comfortable et service agreable merci -
- emma (7/5): -
- Javier (1/5): No te alojes aquí - La ubicación.
- Donya (10/5): -
- Atlas (3/5): The staff, especially Abdallah, were kind, but the cleanliness and food need serious improvement. - The best part of our stay was Abdullah, he was incredibly kind, helpful, and especially wonderful with my boys. He truly made us feel welcome. Overall, the staff were friendly and polite. The bathroom and bathtub were not clean and looked broken. They didn’t change the bed sheets until we specifically asked. The breakfast was very poor in quality and disappointing.
- Corel (4/5): - Not very friendly staff
- Mare (10/5): Exceptional - Authentic Riad on the edge of Medina. Very convenient location, easy to get out from Medina narrow streets, easy access to main road for taxis, near to main touristic attractions and to the restaurants at riverside. Nice panorama view at the rooftop terrace for breakfast. Helpful staff You should be careful not to make too much noise, old house, thin walls, it is easy to disturb other quests.
- Mohammed (7/5): Good -
- Linda (1/5): Location good - cleanliness bad - Location was good. Adel, staff member was fantastic, very helpful and nice. Manager was terribly insensitive to how unclean room was. Bathroom shower had black mold growing on walls and shower head. Main room floor very dirty. To say least could not have showers during our stay.
- Ali (4/5): Great location with average experience - Location is perfect as it is close to market and most of attractions are walking distance. Abdul Malik was very attentive and helpful. Hotel does not have any vibes, facilities are limited. Breakfast is below average as some items were reheated. Bed was clean however the room needs major maintenance and pest control. For an average of 120 USD a night you could expect better experience. Was surprised with my check out experience as we were not even asked about our stay, etc…
- Sasikaran (2/5): - It is a small hotel and doesn’t offer much facilities as listed. Even I would not rate it being 4star but less than 3 stars.
No Spa, and swimming pool isn’t tidy nor maintained. you can stand but not swim. No dressing or shower for the swimming pool.
The only service they do well so the breakfast which is freshly made in the kitchen and they bring it over to you
- Salve (10/5): - What a beautiful Riad experience. We loved our room, except the A/C was leaking due to condensation. But other than this, everything is perfect! Abdul is very nice and very helpful. My daughter and I felt safe navigating the inside streets. This Riad is close to the Medina and the Beach. They are close to a wonderful restaurant that we tried per Abdul's recommendation. Breakfast is served at the top roof terrace with a panoramic view of the city. Very nice!
- Patrick (10/5): - Très bien
- Shaun (10/5): - Beautiful property in the old town with good sized rooms and a great breakfast. It is an old building but central to the beach and the new town. The staff were really helpful and views from the terrace whilst having breakfast were great as well. Rabat itself is a lovely place to visit and not really highlighted in comparison to the other more famous cities.
- Sandra (9/5): Excellent riad, but little privacy - Beautiful room and excellent location, just a couple of blocks away from the gardens and the Ocean. Loved that it had a pool in the rooftop terrace with a good view. The breakfast was delicious, and the attention was very good. The room has very little privacy. There are two windows that don't have curtains and overlook the hallway, so anyone walking by can see you coming out of the shower and in the bed. Other than this privacy issue, this is an excellent option in the medina.
- Charles (9/5): Lovely, boutique style hotel, with attentive staff and local charm. - The staff was very attentive and kind. The building was very nice and it was great to have a roof top terrace and small pool. I had an early morning and had to miss breakfast, so they made me a meal to go. The breakfast on site was very good and included choice of eggs, coffer or tea, and different types of bread or crepes. It was not a big problem, but the access was only on foot., but only a short walk from a Main Street. It was fine once we knew where the B+B guesthouse was located.
- Andrew (8/5): Great location, comfortable and friendly - Very friendly and helpful hosts
Great location Our room on the groundfloor was a little cramped not very private but was comfortable
- Sara (8/5): Very good -
- Sara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Blagovest (9/5): Superb -
- Zoran (8/5): Very good - Beautiful interior, close to city centre, welcome with Moroccan tea.
- Sue (8/5): We would recommend the easy-to-find location and the hotel itself. The roof deck was also lovely. - The historic dar is well-maintained and the staff are friendly.
- Botagoz (9/5): Good location, great staff anf beautiful and authentic atmosphere - Nice location, easy and quick walking distance access to main road of medina for taxi/transport arrangements. Close to many attractions. Safe areaa Nothing
- Theodoros (7/5): Good - I liked the fact that it was a traditional hotel in a convenient location. There was an elevator, everything was clean, and the breakfast was good. We were disappointed by the attitude of the woman at the reception. We checked in at 11 p.m. After settling into our room, we noticed that there was only one set of towels, one glass of water, and one shower gel instead of two. We went down to the reception, where the employee was sleeping in the next room. As soon as she heard us coming, she let out a loud sigh ("pffff"). Before we even explained what had happened, she said, visibly annoyed, "It’s past 11 pm and I sleep after 11 pm. I have to wake up early the next morning to prepare breakfast"
The next morning, she was also responsible for the breakfast service. She didn’t ask us if we wanted eggs. Τhe following day, another employee who served breakfast told us that the hotel offers eggs every day.
- Marc (10/5): - I loved it! Typical decor and comfortable bed. Khadija was wonderful greeting us and making us feel just like at home 10/10 for her service
