- 142amink (10/5): Best Riad in Fes! - This was our first trip to Fes. The Riad arranged for us to be picked up at the beautiful train station. Te facility has been beautifully renovated and it’s like walking into a museum , adorned Moroccan architecture and handicrafts in every corner . The staff are some of the kindest, friendliest and most accommodating we have ever encountered. The breakfast lay out is elaborate , diverse and purely Moroccan cuisine with local honey , local cheese and butter and variety of home made breads , and the coffee is rich and creamy to the last drop! The staff at Riad also were able to arranged a local guide whom we have used for all three days of our stay , very knowledgeable ! The rooms are clean and again like walking into an art gallery ! This place should be on the top list of everyone who is interested in staying at a Riad in Fes!
- Fly4Love (10/5): A Royal Visit! - What a wonderful stay at the Riad Fes Maya! Hidden away inside the Medina walls (don’t worry, a porter will meet you on the main street), close to the market this Riad has been immaculately restored and is absolutely beautiful. Our suite was huge, clean and well appointed. The rooftop restaurant was very delicious for both breakfast and dinner (inside seating available on the roof top in case of bad weather). The hammam treatment was an experience not to be missed. Most of all the staff was helpful and very nice, taking care of all our needs. Highly recommend staying here.

Ayman brought me to my next hotel which was really a big help. Breakfast was delicious and lots of variety. The rooms were very well decorated , warn and clean. Because I arrived late I asked for a late checkout which was granted. Definitely a must stay.

This Riad has beautiful panoramic views from the rooftop terrace. - We had the best experience in Fes, nothing was too much trouble for our hosts at Riad Fes Maya. We had a beautiful, and comfortable, Moroccan furnished room. But more importantly the service was impeccable and quick. Delicious freshly prepared food, with consideration for gluten free options. Friendly staff who all assisted with any travel or tour ideas or problems, and we're on call throughout our whole stay.

We had breakfast and dinner there several days, and it was delicious and had a lovely rooftop view. We also did the hammam, and they were happy to accommodate us doing it together as a couple. We left feeling super clean and relaxed, and we would recommend the Riad to everyone! *tip, if you need to contact reception at any point, just use one of the onsite phons and dial 0. It can be helpful in a large place like this!

- ajsteinberg (10/5): A very special beautiful Riad with lovely staff - An amazing stay in a spectacular riad! The building is in the midst of the medina and we’re so happy we chose this riad. We were greeted in the gorgeous lobby by Sama who explained the history of the building and restoration. She was charming and took good care of us the entire stay. The room was enormous and opulent with the best shower we have had in Morocco. We are a delicious dinner on their rooftop terrace and Mana Fatima, the owner’s mama, was the chef! A big thank you to Sama, Hamid and Ayman for taking such good care of us during our stay.
- 870buffp (10/5): Relaxing and thorough - After looking around a few other Hammams in Fes, we found that often they seemed dirty or unappealing, however after looking around this riad we found it was much different and gave none of that impression. (Another Hammam on this level would be Riad Laaroussa however it was fully booked!) I started with the Hamam for an hour, which was a lovely relaxing experience where I was able to enjoy a range of cleanses and exfoliants before a hair wash and full body and face mask as well as a foot scrub. All of this took place in a beautiful steam room that was a perfect temperature- not suffocatingly hot- with warm water baths. I then moved upstairs to the massage room for another hour where I received a thorough and professional full body massage, including a face and scalp massage. The workers are lovely and adjust the experience as you ask. A full argon oil massage complete with peaceful piano music was the perfect way to end my trip to Fes and I would definitely recommend this place!

From the treatment, the decor, the ambiance, its like nothing I've ever experienced. Sama was our host. She is just a breath of fresh air. There's nothing she won't do to make your stay incredible. She is kind and will plan an itinerary if you choose or just make sure you are comfortable whenever you cross paths. Ahmed and Ayman are also so pleasant and here to help with bags, tea and just a kind smile. The ladies who clean this Riad also work so hard. They are wonderful women who deserve recognition. Our hostess, Sama, did an outstanding job arranging airport transportation, guided tour, walking tips, suggestions and much more. Abdul, our guide for the walking tour of the Medina, was knowledgeable and very personable. He made our tour of the Medina very educational and informative. The spa treatments we had were outstanding. Breakfast served on the Terrace was lovely. Hamid, our porter and waiter, was present all the time and willing and able to help with whatever we needed. Sama arranged for a driver, Ibrahim, that took us on an outstanding day trip to the Blue City. He was an excellent driver and we loved seeing all of the Moroccan countryside as well as the Blue City. We loved our suite, the tile work and woodwork was unbelievable. We recommend the Riad Fes Maya without reservation if you want to have an enjoyable stay near the Medina in Fes.
- Jordan (2/5): - DO NOT COME HERE! From the outside the hotel looks absolutely beautiful. My partner and I arrived so excited to start our trip in Fes. The woman working the reception was sweet but right after she helped us she spent the day yelling at staff. The breakfast and dinner everyday was absolutely terrible. Bread was stale. Orange juice was from the box and advertised as fresh. Mint tea was from a Lipton tea bag. Our first night there we thought it would be nice to have a traditional Hammam experience. This turned out to be an absolutely disgusting and torturous experience. The Riad says that only natural products would be used. But there were only store bought shampoos and soaps. The staff was severely under trained and the pillows they gave for us to lay on in the hammam had mold on them. The entire place smelled like body odor. The next day we asked to have a guide show us around the Medina. The receptionist woman told us that he would be from the ministry of Tourism. He took us to a rug shop where we were pressured for 2 hours to buy rugs which we later found out is a known scam here in Fez. We were then brought to a pharmacy with similar deceptive practices. After reviewing our statement we were charged $2,000 for about $100 dollars worth of skincare. He seemed to bring us to all of the local scam artists and seemed to be working with the Riad from the looks of their interactions before and after the tour. BE AWARE. DO NOT COME
- 763jitkal (10/5): Fantastic hammam treatment in an authentic, luxurious Hammam! - The location of this spa is in a spectacular, renovated, 14th century Riad. Your jaw will drop when you see the interior! Absolutely stunning. I stayed next door at the sister Riad (no less lovely) but came here and had an outstanding private Hammam experience with therapist Leila. The procedure took over an hour and included multiple rounds of washing, scrubbing, exfoliating, masks and rose water sprays. I was pleasantly surprised by my soft skin and hair at the end! Squeaky clean and relaxed! The spa was clean and warm, matched by the cheerful, friendly and professional staff. 10/10!

Each room comes with a TV and AC and wifi included, if you want to stream you'll need to bring a casting device (Chromecast or something else) The staff is friendly, they got me a fez after mentioning I wanted to buy one. There is a tour guide provided with the stay as well. You pay half-to the price of a room for a Hyatt but get better service.

I went with my husband and 15 year old daughter, we booked the Family suite room had plenty of space for a king bed, and two twin beds for adult kids! The staff Sama and Hamid were so gracious and are wonderful hosts! They took care of us like family. What ever we needed we got the service, they packed us a packet breakfast when we weren’t able to sit down and eat! Breakfast was amazing! - Lauren (4/5): - The staff of Riad Fes Maya pressured us into a so-called “complimentary private tour” that turned out to be a shopping scam. We later confirmed that personal details we had shared with the hotel were passed on to the “guide,” which was deeply unsettling. On one occasion, we also returned to find our room door left unlocked. These serious breaches of trust left us feeling unsafe throughout our stay. The riad itself is beautiful, and the food was good. But until they stop partnering with dishonest guides and prioritize guest security, I cannot recommend staying here.

- 592izzatg (8/5): Amazing Stay - My wife and I had a wonderful stay here on our visit to Fes! It's located very close to the main street for pickups and dropoffs and to the old Medina which made sightseeing convenient for us, with lots of options of cafes and restaurants nearby. The interior of the riad was beautiful, with detailed handwork wherever you looked, including our room. Extremely friendly staff and the food was great too, with breakfast and dinner being served on the rooftop (with an amazing view of Fes). We were recommended by our friends to stay here and we're so glad we did. Only small criticism would be that the toiletries provided in the washroom wasn't quite enough for my wife and I. Thankfully a minor issue for us since we had leftovers from our previous hotel trip, so didn't have to ask for more. But I'm sure they would have provided what we needed if we had asked.

We went shopping for our food and saw how it was prepared the had a wonder meal on the roof terrance. The food was amazing and I will be trying to recreate at home. A very friendly and interesting day seeing how traditional food is prepared. We had the best fish tagine!

Sama and her colleague were wonderful during our stay and made sure we were comfortable and ready to help at all times. - Jennifer (10/5): - Great Riad! The riad was beautiful! We had one night there. The customer service was beyond exceptional! We had to leave early in the morning to catch a tour and the staff provided us with a terrific bagged breakfast with traditional Moroccan food to take with us as breakfast at the riad didn’t start until later. They also provided us with a wonderful coffee presentation to enjoy on the rooftop patio before we left for our tour that morning. Great view of Fes from the rooftop. We had dinner at the riad on the rooftop restaurant as well the night we arrived. The food was fabulous! It was the best food we had while in Morocco! Very flavourful Moroccan food. The room was clean and gave a truly Moroccan vibe. I would recommend this riad!

It took a long time to check in and they tried to put my friend and I (separate reservations) in the same room. They fixed it but it took more time so we didn't get the break we wanted before we started our Medina tour. The spa was wonderful.

We selected Riad Fes Maya because of the wonderful reviews and we were so glad we did. It is a gorgeous Riad. Wonderful staff. Very friendly and helpful. Meals were delicious and served on the rooftop which has an incredible view. We also did a hammam and massage which was relaxing. Would recommend to everyone.

The suite was super impressive, two floors with very comfortable (and attractive) furnishing. Staff was extremely attentive and flexible in helping us however we needed. They arranged a tour of the Medina that was a highlight of our trip. We ended up eating most meals in the roof, which was delicious (both the included breakfast and our choices for dinner). They made several accommodations to help the food work well for our somewhat picky daughter. We needed to catch a super early flight and they were even up to ensure on time arrival of our car and our timely departure. Would 100% recommend. Location is very convenient both for arrival/leaving and accessing other typical activities.

The riad is beautifully decorated and care is taken in every detail. The staff working here are so polite, welcoming and very friendly. We stayed for three nights and we really enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend this riad to anyone looking for a riad inside the Medina. The view from the rooftop is also amazing. I recommend spending some time on the rooftop to enjoy dinner and breakfast. The riad is also easy to get to which is a bonus because the Medina is a maze!

The interior is beautiful and detailed, and it seems the owner cares for interior design. We stayed in the Ambassador suite and it was spacious and beautifully decorated. The view from the rooftop is amazing and a lovely place to relax and enjoy breakfast and dinner. The staff working here are all so friendly and polite, and make the stay here pleasant and welcoming. It feels like living inside a piece of art. The service was equally exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and care. Sama and Hamid made everything effortless — always present, attentive, and genuinely kind. And we have to give our heartfelt thanks to Mama Fatima, whose cooking was one of the highlights of our trip. Her dishes were not only delicious but felt deeply rooted in tradition and love. The breakfast and dinner were both outstanding, served with care on the beautiful rooftop terrace — a perfect place to start or end the day with views over the medina and the call to prayer in the distance. We also appreciated how easily accessible the riad is despite being in the old medina — taxis can drop you off just a short walk away, which made exploring Fès much smoother. Riad Fès Maya is more than a place to stay — it’s an experience that stayed with us, and we couldn’t have asked for a better home in Fès.

Everything about the hotel is amazing, from the rooms , comfortable beds, aromas, & hospitality. We had some fabulous dinners which were even more enjoyable by having Anwar as our server . He was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and just remarkable all around ! Service at any hotel can be a hit and miss but it definitely stood out here . The roooftop bar and view is also beautiful and the bartender and staff are remarkable! Make sure to stop by when en Fes!

They offer you a private tour through Fes. It gets you to the main attractions but the turns more into a shopping trip. If you are looking to buy nice and original artwork, leather etc then it definitely is worth it, if you don’t then better look for an alternative

We felt as if we were staying in a palace; the 14th-century riad with incredible architectural details is beautifully and meticulously preserved. What made our experience exceptional was the outstanding service provided by Sama and Hamid. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Sama was so helpful in arranging a last-minute tour guide for us and always responded to our requests with care and a smile. Hamid was very attentive to our needs and served us wonderful dinners and breakfasts. We also greatly appreciated their help with our luggage. Additionally, the meals prepared by the owner's mother were made with evident care. I thoroughly enjoyed the authentic Moroccan cuisine. Thank you for your excellent hospitality. I would highly recommend Riad Fes Maya to anyone planning a visit to Fes.

Breakfast on the roof was lovely and varied and plentiful. We did not have dinner but did have a drink and snacks in the late evening. The staff pushes pretty hard to have guests take the expensive dinner in the rooftop restaurant and the "free" guided tour. We would appreciate less pitching of these extras.

- Aravind (10/5): Great rooms and ambience - The riad is perfectly located, amazing hosts, great breakfast, well decorated and spacious rooms and amazing rooftop views. They took care of us from arrival to departure and made us feel at home. Overall, I would recommend this as a great place to stay. The card machine used here does a conversion for international cards charging an additional 4% on top of the poor conversion fee. It would help if they advertise it up front on their reception so that we can be ready to make a cash payment. I have not experienced this with other riads/shops that have used the same credit card machine vendor.

From the moment we arrived and entered, the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful, and we felt we had entered a palace. I loved the rooftop terrace for breakfast and dinner. The food was the best we had in Morocco so I definitely recommend eating at the riad. The location was convenient, easy walking distance to the medina and sites but located just outside so it was quiet and easily accessible by taxi. Thank you for making our stay so special!

- Alina (10/5): Very nice riad, clean and impressive architecture - The location is very impressive, the architecture and the amount of details makes you feel like royalty. The staff is extremely kind and helpful, and the food is very good. Our room was very big, with a very high ceiling and because of that, it was a bit cold. We were able to use the AC to heat it, but I think its good to keep this in mind and take warmer clothes. And also there was a smell that was impregnated in fabrics, but this wasn't because of the cleaning quality, but because of the the upholstery of the sofas and the age of the furniture. It wasn't unpleasant, but we were able to feel something. The room was very clean, the bed linen and the towels were perfect, so nothing to comment about that.
