• Klaus (5/5): Schönes Haus aber ärgerliche Bewirtschaftung - Das Haus und das Zimmer ist sehr atmosphärisch konzipiert und eingerichtet. Es hat eine schöne Terrasse (wobei wir aus nicht ersichtlichen Gründen) nur auf die untere Ebene durften. Das Zimmer hatte ein großes Bad (was man angesichts der Bäder zuvor sehr zu schätzen weiß). Das Frühstück war gut- eben marokkanisch. Hervorhebenswert war ein kleiner Obstsalat. Es ist schwer, eine gerechte Bewertung abzugeben Auf der einen Seite ein wirklich schönes Haus, auf der anderen Seite ein Gebaren des Chefs (?, Rezeption und alles was mit Geld zu tun hat), das die Beziehung zu seinen Gästen zu vordergründig der Frage unterordnet, wie viel Geld aus ihnen heraus zu holen ist. Beispiele: Am ersten Abend würde uns mitgeteilt, dass das Trinken von eigenen Wein auf der Terrasse. durch den "Owner" nicht gewünscht ist. Am nächsten Tag teilte man uns mit, dass auch auf dem Zimmer das Trinken von eigenen Alkohol verboten sei. Stattdessen bot uns "Chef" eine Flasche marokkanischen Wein für umgerechnet 35 € an. (Ein marokkanischer Wein der höheren Preisstufen kostet 10- 15 €. "Chef" begründete den Preis mit den Lizenzgebühren, die er für den Alkoholausschank zahlen müssen. Wir entschlossen nach langem aufdringlichen Gespräch ein Glas zu bestellen und mussten "Chef" 4-5-mal darauf hinweisen, dass wir nur ein Glas wollen. Er hat dann jedes Mal wieder eine aufdringliches Verkaufsgespräch angefangen und die Flasche "versehentlich" auf dem Tisch zurückgestellt. Übrigens kosteten die 100 ml Wein am Ende 12 €. Das Frühstück stellte er uns mit 11 € in Rechnung, ein halbes Jahr vorher waren in einer Bewertung 10 € zu lesen und das war schon absolut überteuert für das, was da auf dem Tisch stand. Am nächsten Abend sollte uns der Zugang zur Terrasse gänzlich verwehrt werden, weil "Chef" für ein anderes Pärchen ein Dinner ausrichtete usw. usf. Mit dem Bett bin ich in der ersten Nacht eingebrochen, da mehrere Latten aus Ihren Verankerungen herausgerissen waren und lose auf dem Rahmen lagen. (Das Hotel kostet nun gerade nicht Peanuts.). Der Parkplatz-Hinweis sollte dringend aktualisiert werden. 3,50 sind schon lange durch 6 € ersetzt. Schließlich ist es bei den Preisen, die das Haus für separate Leistungen (Frühstück etc.

Hace poco tuvimos la suerte de alojarnos en Le Balcón de Tánger, y sinceramente, superó todas las expectativas. Desde el primer momento, Abdel, el host, se volcó en hacernos la estancia fácil, cómoda y totalmente despreocupada. Nos ayudaron con los transportes desde el aeropuerto, coordinados con Souleymane, el taxista, haciendo que la llegada fuera cómoda y sin ningún tipo de estrés. Pero lo que realmente marca la diferencia aquí son las vistas, ubicación dentro de la Medina y recomendaciones especiales de restaurantes y lugares imprescindibles para visitar de su Host Abdel… absolutamente brutales. Despertarte y encontrarte con el Estrecho de Gibraltar frente a ti, desde tu propia habitación, es una experiencia difícil de igualar. Pura paz, pura magia. Las habitaciones están cuidadas al detalle, con ese encanto marroquí que te hace sentir en un lugar auténtico, pero con toda la comodidad que buscas cuando viajas. Todo limpio, bien mantenido y con una ubicación ideal para explorar la ciudad. Y si hablamos de calidad-precio… simplemente excelente. De esos sitios que cuando los descubres sabes que has acertado de lleno. En resumen: si vas a Tánger y quieres vistas inolvidables, comodidad y una experiencia auténtica sin pagar de más… Le Balcón de Tánger es una apuesta segura. Repetiríamos sin dudarlo. 🌊✨

En booking se publicitan con parking (fue uno de los filtros que aplicamos para buscar alojamiento) y luego no es así, te mandan a un parking público descubierto a unos 10 minutos. Además, tienen un horario de check-in hasta las 20h, del que si te pasas te cobran 35€, de lo cual no te avisan hasta el mismo día de la llegada.

Plus the filtered water he provided helped us not to have to buy plastic water bottles. No view from the room. The no food policy in the room (esp for vegans, we need to carry some food with us). • Michael (2/5): Being so disatified with our room, we left one day earlier. - We were in Moroco for 8 weeks and unfortunately this was the only hotel which we were very unhappy. Very good hot water, but the shower was very small including a shower curtain which was in poor taste. There was no Television to catch up on the news. which was disappointing because we were paying a higher price. The reception stated that we owed the hotel for the room, but we went in our computer and showed the contrary. We did not eat breakfast because we thought because of the cleanlyness of the room, the food would be very marginal. We read many of the comments which were very positive, and very surprised that we did not find more comments critical of the hotel. The room was dusty, very poor lighting, we were offered an upgrade to larger room for Euros 400, but had to pay in cash. We did not take the proposed room because it smelled musty. The heater broke down and the last two days no heat. We called and requested assistance for going up 15 stairs since my knew was bad, after the fact, the hotel was charging Euros 5 when I offered less, they raised their voices. When requesting a taxi to Med Port, the hotel requested 650 DH, were as other hotels in the Medina were charging between 400- 450 DH. We ended up finding a taxi for 400 DH from Tangiers to Med Port. For a number of days, we did not notice other clients in the hotel. We thought that the hotel was on the coast from the pictures in their Booking site.

Abdelatif est un hôte excellent, poli, compétent et attentionné. Le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse est très bon copieux et la vue magnifique ! La décoration du Riad est superbe. Le rapport qualité/prix est moyen pour les prestations. On aurait aimé accéder à la terrasse le soir pour voir la vue magnifique sur le détroit au coucher du soleil. On se serait aussi passé des 35 euros de "late charge" pour un vol retardé :) Nous sommes néanmoins très satisfaits de notre séjour :)

Que dentro de la propiedad también hubiera que subir escaleras, había leído sobre el acceso al hotel pero no dentro del mismo. Las almohadas no eran cómodas, deberían cambiarlas y/o poner más.

Die Frühstücks Terrasse ist ein Traum, die Zimmer sind super schön ausgestattet, mit tollen Kunstwerken und marokkanischen Möbeln. Abdel ist super hilfsbereit und hat uns jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen und das beste zum Frühstück zubereitet. Wir sind mehr als zufrieden und können es sehr empfehlen.

• Ana (10/5): classic riad with modern upgrades - The perfect accommodation for anyone hoping to experience classic Moroccan culture without sacrificing comfort :) there seemed to be new heating units, toilets, & sinks within the older building. the riad and the room are beautifully decorated and perfectly situated next to the sea, which was great to be walking distance from the ferry. we had a room with a sea view and enjoyed the rooftop lounge when weather permitted. the receptionists were friendly and very helpful. i would definitely stay here again! would just need to get used to the winding streets within the medina because it's easy to get lost trying to find the place from the inside, even with phone navigation (though my sense of direction is subpar at best). the hotel is easy to spot from the port side if you are okay with all the stairs. :) note: taxis cannot drive within the medina so you would need to haul your luggage up either way. no complaints.

• Suresh (9/5): Very good experience- may visit again - The location was excellent - right at the edge of old city with all good places within walking distance. Taxis go almost upto the hotel location (with some 10-15 steps though). The staff were very polite and helpful. Out room (3) with balcony had excellent views over the sea. There were a few good common lounge areas/terraces to relax inside the property. There was some strange smell inside the bathroom - may be due to proximity to the ocean

Half of this score goes to serious hidden charges and the extremely unprofessional and intimidating attitude of the hotel manager. Please be very careful with extra charges: • Breakfast: €10 per person (I thought it was free while eating) • Airport taxi arranged by the hotel: 250 MAD Both prices are about 4–5 times higher than normal prices. More concerning issues: • These prices were not clearly displayed on the Booking page (I checked several times and could not find them). When I questioned this, the manager claimed it was “my phone’s problem”. He took my phone without my consent and searched for a long time. He even tried to change my phone language to French without permission. This made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe, and I was forced to pay. Payment handling was also problematic: • I asked to pay by card, but the manager insisted on cash only. I paid €40 in cash (total due was €38: • €20 for two breakfasts • €18 for two nights of city tax • He then said accepting euros in Morocco was illegal and demanded 440 MAD instead (normal rate approx. 1:10). As I was about to leave the country, I did not have enough MAD. •In the end, he very reluctantly returned €2 — in moldy, damaged banknotes

• Emma (9/5): great accom, would recommend - great location, kind staff, beautiful common areas, lounge room with TV and balcony / rooftop most convenient way to get to the hotel was via stairs from the road, not ideal but nothing that can be done to fix that. the room had a very strong smell so we kept the windows open as much as possible to help get rid of it.

• Christine (4/5): ACCUEIL ET SERVICE DEPLORABLE NUISANT AU SEJOUR - Décor , ameublement et vue aux étages terrasses Attention pour accéder au Riad il faut monter 39 marches ou sinon faire un long chemin à pied avec des escaliers multiples Accueil et un service déplorable tout le long du séjour. Manque de professionnalisme : Aucune info avant notre arrivée pour trouver le Riad . Il y a 39 hautes marches pour accéder au Riad et du fait du manque d' info nous avons pris un trajet parallèle de 92 marches (avec les valises !!). Il a fallu sonner un bon moment avant que l on nous ouvre la porte . Le jeune qui ''gère '' et qui nous a accueilli nous a dit que la montée des valises à l' étage de la chambre n'était pas compris dans le prix mais qu'il le faisait quand même ! Aucune info sérieuse chaque fois que nous avons posé une question. Petit déjeuner pas bon et cher ( crêpes de la veille passées au micro onde, pain moins bon qu'ailleurs, confiture insipide etc ...) Le jour de notre départ ET malgré une heure fixée la veille avec eux pour 9 Heures ( nous aurions préféré 8H 30 mais c' est le jeune qui décide pour le client ) On nous a servi à 10 HEURES ( après 30 minutes de retard + 30 minutes pour faire le PDJ de 2 personnes !! ) = stress et nous avons oublié un objet personnel ...Forcing pour que l'on prenne leur taxi ( beaucoup plus cher que le prix courant ) baratins permanents ne correspondant pas à la réalité ( Nous n' aurions, soit disant, aucun taxi si nous ne passions pas par eux !! etc etc )

• Juampe García (8/5): Bonitas vistas al puerto de Tánger - La limpieza, el desayuno en la terraza superior y Abdel nos ayudó en todo pese a que no habla castellano y nosotros poco inglés, pero supimos entendernos. El hotel por dentro muy acogedor y muchos detalles de decoración. Cierto es que si te toca una habitación que de para las callejuelas, pues hay bastante ruido y lo peor el olor de la calle que se metía a la habitación. Teníamos q tener la ventana cerrada. El olor no era problema del hotel, sólo los sumideros municipales.
• Amina (7/5): - De locatie en kamer was heel ruim Ontbijt was veél te duur voor hetgeen je krijgt. En de marokkaanse pannekoek was allemaal niet vers. Wat heel heel zonde is. Dus niet waard om ontbijt daar te nemen. Ze hebben onze kamer schoongemaakt en alles liggen verplaatsen. We moesten zoeken naar waar ze onze paspoorts hadden verplaatst en naar onze andere aangekochte spullen. Dit is niet OK.

There was no air conditioning even though it was mentionned on the listing (it becomes very hot during the night). Also, we did not have access to the terasse. It was one main point why we chose to stay there so we were disappointed.

• Harry (9/5): Can definetly reccomend Le Balcon De Tanger. - The staff was very kind, especially Abdullah. The location was fantastic, the view from the room was awesome. The breakfast was very, very good. Shower, AC, WiFi all worked great. Could have been a little cleaner. Nothing major, really. I am a clean freak so might have a different standard than most.
