• Vilma (9/5): Overall, he was a great way to spend one night in Victoria Falls. - It was very spacious. It was very clean. It was not luxurious, but it was decorated well. Four of us stayed in a room and we had three twin beds all with mosquito nets and there was a full-size bed in a separate bedroom. The manager Grace is wonderful. She responds to emails very promptly. Transportation to the airport was also good as well as the transportation to the small local town. It was relatively inexpensive. The breakfast was very simple. I wish that I had had more options as I had read the comments from previous guests. The restaurant for dinner was also somewhat of a simple menu, but if you’re looking for a good place to stay, and the food choices are not a major issue this is a very good place to stay.

• Wendy (9/5): Great staff and all round value for money - The staff were great, they are very kind and helpful. Especially Pardon, Mr Ndlovu and Thembi, but all of them are superb. My kids loved the swimming pool and their big room. The facility is very clean and well taken off and the air con works. Generator was helpful too. Our double room was too small.I think they need to reduce the price for that room as it's too small for 2 adults. Also, maybe relook their self service breakfast offering, e.g. put more fresh fruits and yoghurts, tea etc.

The location was pretty good but you can walk into Victoria falls which is why it didn't get a top score for that .

The shower was flooding and not draining well. We ended up getting a new room. The receptionists were not hospitable, always on their phones. It felt like they gave priority to foreign nationalities. I felt discriminated.

• DAVID (10/5): - Overall, I had an excellent experience at the Dzimbahwe Guest Lodge. Five Stars. During my trip to Zimbabwe Victoria Falls, I stayed here three nights. The room was always clean, comfortable, and felt safe. The room also had a nice little refrigerator and a nice TV and a lot, and I mean a lot of closet space. The room was spacious, a lot of light and I felt very at home. I did not need a fancy upscale lodge and I have to say the price was extremely reasonable. What really stood out was the staff — everyone I interacted with, housekeeping, bellmen, and reception was polite, friendly, and helpful-Grace and Anne. I want to mention specifically Knowledge – he was extra kind to me during my stay. Hospitality will be remembered. When I’m back in Zimbabwe one day, which I hope is soon, I’ll definitely be staying at the Dzimbahwe Guest lodge again. For the quality and service, the price is very reasonable.

• Narelle (10/5): Choose here for a safe, comfortable stay - As a 65-year-old solo female traveller Safety was my main concern and this is what made me give this lodge a 10/10 rating. My flight was five hours late so I got in the dark at 10 pm but Paddon the wonderfully excitable Lodge driver had been patiently waiting for me at the airport and I felt very safe as soon as I got into the Lodge van and met him . The same went for the 24 hour security guard who welcomed me and showed me to my room. The amazing Manager booked a fabulous guided tour of Victoria Falls and also managed to get me a last-minute spot on the dinner cruise , both highly recommended and very well worth doing. I did not expect a five Star Western luxury Hotel so as long as you have appropriate country expectations, I would highly recommend this Lodge. They also did my washing in a day for $.50 apiece! They also offer a shuttle service to town. It’s only about 5 to 10 minute drive but too far to walk. The grounds and pool are very very lovely, but it was too cold for me to swim. Nothing it was entirely as described for an African Lodge

Breakfast has a limited offer but good overall. The first room we got had issue with the lock on the front porch. It took a long time to lock it. The wifi reception was very poor and kept turning off just going to their bfast restaurant 20 meters away. Room was changed — lock situation improved. Wifi was mostly on but off intermittently. Location was not anywhere near restaurants or store. Breakfast hours could be improved as many tours start before 7am but they did offer a breakfast bag. Wifi slow, intermittent, constantly have to logged back it, poor reception

The location was great close to shops and the falls just a short 10 min drive away. Found the location of the room very noisy, there was a droning noise all night no sure if it was from the kitchen, a generator sounded like a tumble dryer all night . The corridor doors echo terribly you constantly hear doors closing and people talking . The room is quite dark, bottom of corridor especially for the price . The pool area for our section was nice and quiet but the pool looked dirty so didn’t swim.
• Sandra (4/5): Overpriced, we wouldn’t come back again - We spent two nights at the Dzimbahwe Guest Lodge in Victoria Falls and had room G1, which is located on the other side of the road at the back. Generally, the rooms are very dark. We only got light on the terrace. The rooms are very simple and not worth the price. For the price, we had much nicer accommodations with better amenities on our trip. The mosquito net, when opened, is so large and tightly strung that it blocks the entire room and you can't move around. The bathroom, on the other hand, is huge. They could have used some of that space for the room. Everything is very basic, and the safe didn't work. It was locked when we arrived, and the key wasn't found. The hair dryer didn't work either. We wouldn't even stay there again, especially considering the price. It's absolutely overpriced. The breakfast was good, and the staff was very nice. That was the only positive point for us. We wouldn't stay there again.

Shower broken, toilet swat loose, Main door lock broken (was struggling to lock), parking not sufficient, lounge next door to noisy ( we had to request guests to lower their voices past 23h00. The price paid vesrus what we received was not on par. Over priced.
• Barbara (5/5): Clean and neat but basic and a long way from shops and attractions - Our room was large and clean. Surroundings were very quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are set in pleasant gardens. The location is a bit far from the centre of town and where all the shops and facilities are, but that is the case for a large number of lodges in Victoria Falls. It was relatively easy to get transport from the lodge into town at a cost of $5 each way but it had to be booked. The lodge is a strange set-up. It is in two parts, separated by a street. Reception and some rooms are on one side; the kitchen and eating area and more rooms are on the other side. It doesn't have any common areas that we could see where guests might gather and relax apart from the (very small) eating area and the garden and pool (one on each side of the road). Facilities are very limited. Business was very quiet when we were there and we hardly saw another guest, Our room was on the kitchen side of the road. The shower had very poor water flow and was hard to adjust. The hot water is very very hot and showers were either scalding or cold. Only 2 bath towels were provided, no hand towels. The towels were very small and very thin, quite inadequate. Breakfast was limited but OK; the food at dinner time was very limited in choice and not very good (over-cooked). Dinner had to be pre-ordered and we had to negotiate a time to eat that suited the cook, rather than us. The tap water is probably drinkable but has a strong metallic taste. even when boiled We were only provided with 2 small bottles of water in the whole of our 4 days there.

• Jennifer (10/5): Beautiful stay - Staff were lovely, especially in the restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was immaculate with good facilities. Pool and gardens were immaculate too. Beakfast was lovely with plenty to choose from. Evening meals were lovely too. Would recommend to anyone and would be more than happy to stay there again. There was nothing not to like.
