Good access to London by bus/train as well as Kingston. Price can't be beat if you are with a group. The apartment had 3 separate bedrooms with real, comfortable beds - great for privacy when you are with a group. The rooms were spacious. The kitchen was well equipped - there was even some coffee, tea. The 3-bedroom apartment is in the basement but due to the way the building is constructed has doors to the outside (which can be locked properly unlike what's been said in other reviews) and good daylight in the bedrooms. The apartment is well equipped with wardrobes, tvs, mirrors etc. Despite being on a busy road it's surprisingly quiet at night. The hallway smelled bad when we were there. The apartment did not though - just the corridor to the apartment. The whole building and honestly even the apartment looks a bit worn-out. As mentioned, the beds, furniture, kitchen is good but the laminate is chipped, paint scratched etc.

• Seb (6/5): If you’re desperate for a night stay and do not care that the place is not 100% up to scratch then stay here - Open space and close travel links to Surbiton and Kingston River The beds were a bit dirty and not 100% clean with hairs, the cupboards were yellow and the odour of the place was not the best. When going to the room there was a yellow looking mattress outside the room which looked dirty with put us off straight away. we were put in the underfloor room where service was really bad and for the wifi there were no instructions with front desk not picking up which was very inconvenient, we couldn’t get a refund as there was excuses from the front desk that it is out of control

The sofa bed was almost impossible to sleep on and very uncomfortable. It wasn't a deal breaker on a two night stay bit could definitely be improved.

• KAY (8/5): Room lovely, but customer service needs to be moved up a bit - Room was lovely and location great Had email confirmation that I could check in at 4pm. Got there late at 5.30 and they said they had staffing shortages and it would be another 30 or so minutes until it was ready. I understand staffing issues, but a simple text or email would have meant I did not turn up to the accommodation until it was ready. Instead of being able to refresh after my journey I had to carry on to the hospital to visit a relative during visiting hours. Free car parking behind the property is not really true. Very few spaces and you have to pay to use the car park opposite. A token would be better

The washing machine was disgustingly filthy, the apartment block corridors were very dirty and other apartments were leaving their rubbish outside their doors which made it quite stinky. The was no wifi and no responses to my messages until after we checked out. Then the responses we did get were identical to the history reviews. Felt like lip service.

• Elliott (2/5): - I stayed in the Hampton Court Apartment Suite and had an extremely poor experience — completely unacceptable for the money I paid. When I arrived, my key didn’t work and I had to call for assistance to even access the building. There was no check-in information, no Wi-Fi or phone signal and I had to go outside just to try and contact the hotel. I called six times with no answer. Inside, the apartment was in a terrible state: marks all over the walls, no bin bag provided, a towel with a blood stain and a broken iron. I raised these issues twice in person (at 2:00 am and again at 8:00 am) and was advised to follow up in writing - which I did. It has now been over 10 days and management still hasn’t responded. I’ve called more than five times and each time I’ve been told someone would get back to me, but nobody ever has. Truly awful customer service and far below what I would expect for the price I paid.

• MARY (5/5): Just a convenient location for the purpose of my trip - Not served. Noisy as on busy road. Rear car park had rubbish and broken glass. No communication on how to get in when outer doors locked. Check in at Crowne plaza hotel was chaotic and took ages. They couldn’t give me a key. Had to find somebody at apartments who did this. Have suspicion rooms were being used for other than tourist purposes.
• Chana (2/5): - The exterior door does not latch all the way, so anyone could walk in. The lobby area/ hall smelled... interesting and unfamiliar, in a bad way. Our suite was not clean; the master bed had stains on the mattress, along with what looked like black crumbs or seeds or something... the mattress pad and sheet were stained and there was a huge urine stain on the duvet cover as well. There were also stains on the curtains. The sofa bed had no sheets at all, so when I called the hotel to complain about the state of the master, I asked them to bring clean sheets for the sofa bed. The attendant remade the master bed, and left the sheets and duvet for the sofa bed- but when I made it up later, there was a urine stain on that as well! And another random, brown stain. And then, there were the spiders. I killed three before even talking to Expedia- and I'm not talking about the tiny little spiders that get into houses, I'm talking about large, bodies bigger than a US nickel sized spiders. Crawling down the second bedroom curtains, on the kitchen wall, in the bathroom, in the hall... my daughter took a nap when we first arrived in the second bedroom and got bitten up by something- looked like bedbug bites. They ended up moving us to the hotel, but that made things more expensive, as I now had to pay for each meal instead of cooking. Sorting this wasted the first two days of our trip- and no refund was given for the loss of our time or inconvenience.
• Mr. Pang See Yin (8/5): - The apartment needs renovation. Limited number of parking spaces and thus we need to park at Crown Plaza Hotel and walk back to the apartment. If need to do laundry, need to use the shared washing machines. However, one is broke and another isn’t connected with water supply.
• Ken (1/5): - Nothing, we moved out early The common areas were the filthiest and smelliest I have ever encountered in a paid for establishment. I left the accommodation early and am out of pocket due to this, but unfortunately the general state of the place is not worth any money. The flat itself is bearable after I personally scrubbed the surfaces and floor to get it into a state which was acceptable. I am trying to get booking.com to delist this place as it is not up to standard. My advice is stay away from here and avoid disappointment. Please look at the photos to get a realistic idea of the state of this awful place

• Gary (1/5): This place could not possibly pass a county safety or sanitary check. - There is nothing to like about this property. This is the worst place I have ever booked with Booking.com in 15 years. Front yard a weedy dirty and trashy area complete with broken bench. Front and rear doorlatches and locks broken, the building is unsafe and open to all both by front door and alley way. Back entrance has trash all over the place with open dumpster and rodents. Window on ground floor are not lockable when open, so unsafe to leave open for ventilation. Bathroom tile joints are filled with black mold on both walls and shower, shower has no mat and step down has no grab bar next to glass wall. Wind blows trash and leaves from back yard into hall ways and is not cleaned. Took three time to get additional towels, picked them up myself.

• ALAN (6/5): - The apartment we had number 9 was nothing like that as advertised on Expedia was tired and not furnished or decorated as shown so in all we felt rather disappointed and miss sold
• Erika (2/5): - Awful. The place was dirty, the floor filthy. The sleeper sofa was broken. The springs were gone and generally uncomfortable. No cooking utensil, pan, oven trays. No welcome amenity basket IE with a small dish soap, washing machine or dishwasher tablets or tea and coffee sachets. Just two larger pots were provided. 2 out of the 5 dining chairs were broken. The bedrooms were ok, in our room furniture didn’t fit in the room, it was too big or the room was too small, so no room to move around in our room. My daughter’s room was very large with hardly any furniture in it. The outside doors to the patios didn’t lock properly. And there wasn’t a tv remote (that was the only thing the hotel was able to replace for us). The outdoor trash cans/ dumpsters (which was our view) were overflowing and there was trash everywhere in the extremely small parking lots. There were two large storage containers taking up a few parking spaces. If you couldn’t park in the lot, you had to pay for parking across the road. If we relocating from the states, and waiting for our rental house to become available, I would have left even sooner then we did(checked out 1 day early). On that note was told at checkout because I booked through Expedia they couldn’t change the # of nights so they would have to charge me for the entire stay. Yes we voices our concerns to the front desk about the situation and dirty rooms/missing items were told “we will try to replace them or come clean. Never did!

• Ana (2/5): - The property was described as having stunning views. The back view of a parking lots full of junk and rubbish, the front of the building is to a busy noisy road. The water in all drains (shower, bathroom sink and kitchen sink) were very slow to drain. There was mould and dirt in the grout all around the shower. There was no service on site, we were three people and there were two towels, two mugs. No dishwasher soap, no kitchen towels or napkins.

• Dianne (4/5): Not a good experience - When we arrived the apartment had no couch as shown in the photos. Then the TV did not work would not switch on this was reported to the number provided. On the evening the tower fan did not work so we were left with an inadequate desk fan which was full of dust! The bed was like sleeping on a water bed ! We sent a what’s app message to the number provided and after 1hr we had not had a reply so we followed it up with a phone call. We also reported that the bathroom bin had no lid, the toilet brush was all rusty and all the skirting boards were full of dust. When we returned from our day out they had replaced the fan got the tv working and replaced the bathroom bin and toilet brush. We felt the room had not been used for a while and the furniture moved around as the bed was at a peculiar angle due to the removal of the couch! The doors were dirty and the curtains were hanging down. It was very unloved. There was 1 teaspoon and the hall/landing was very dirty with mud marks and the lift didn’t work. It looked like people were living there permanently . It took us 1 week to get our £200 deposit back from “pending” from the bank. We asked for compensation for the issues raised but we have not had a response. We don’t like leaving a bad review but we don’t think these premises are suitable. Would we recommend, definitely NOT.

Three very ineffective fans - almost impossible to sleep or stay in the property. Maintenance is poor - our 5 year old fell off a broken chair into a table and the remote for the tv had no battery cover. Also the tv stopped working. Reported this and promised everything would be fixed. Nothing happened. We moved out a day early

• Valery (4/5): Disappointing - Both TVs didn’t work, staff didn’t provide WiFi code. Staff didn’t respond to messages on booking.com very disappointing the place seems to be getting worse in terms of quality and service.
• Andrew Lee (6/5): - We booked this property for our trip to London while the property itself is refurbished. We did find out it used to be a refugee residence. It is extremely far away from London taking about an hour and a half through public transportation and in our plus through car or Uber just to get to the London area. There is very limited dining areas around the property but there are some options. It is important to note that there is absolutely no form of air conditioning and the small fans provided barely circulated any air causing us to leave the windows open and bugs to come in the first floor unit. We had also felt unsafe due to the fact that having the windows open allowed anyone walking by to be able to either stop and look or actually come into the unit. The back area of the apartment we were in was littered with garbage and definitely needed to be cleaned up. There is a beautiful section of the Thames River that you can rent boats and walk alongside overall. Unless you are planning to only visit the suburbs of London, I would not recommend staying as it is extremely expensive to get back to London and takes a ton of time
• Man (5/5): Stayed here to be close to a wedding venue, otherwise would have stayed elsewhere. - Property was close to where we wanted to be and beds were comfortable, open plan kitchen/lounge was spacious. Not much around the area and it wasn’t the cleanest place. It was a hot day and being on the top floor the flat got extremely hot. We were offered two fans only. One of the fans was clogged up with dust and not exactly hygienic. I could breathe harder than this fan. The curtains weren’t properly attached and had to reattach them myself… called the house keeping team on the notice but couldn’t get through, had to call up crowne plaza to put a request through.
• Gerald (1/5): Dreadful stay, Avoid! - Nothing positive to say. The flat is located in a mixed housing block, and the environment was extremely noisy with a lot of social housing. There was a constant smell of drugs being smoked, which made me feel very unsafe. • Jonathan (3/5): Very poor - 'Sofa bed' was very poor, not comfortable and not suitable in size for 2 children. We were also not provided with a bottom sheet and had to wait nearly 1h to get one delivered. Apartment was VERY hot and the fans provided were VERY poor. Apartment had various areas of damage (see photos), towel shelf broken and towels fell into toilet!

• Edward Y T (8/5): Spacious apartment with a competitive price - The apartment was clean and spacious, with a suitable location. The kitchen was clean with enough utensiles. The towels, bedsheet and toilet were clean and we were comfortable to use them without doubt. To our surprise, there were two fans which gave us good comfort during the hot summer. The only down side was that the pan and saucepan were a bit old. A new set will be good. Also, a few more cutting knives will be convenient. Lastly, a few more hooks in the toilets to let us place our towels and clothes will also be great. Outside our room, we found that the laundary was a bit dirty, but we did not have to use it, so it was alright. One last thing, we did not realize we have to walk up 2 storeys. So, some warning in the description page will be good.
• Barley (5/5): Passable - There seems to be a very bad mosquito problem as I've never been bitten as much even when being abroad. This needs to be looked into as its very bad indeed

• Catherine (2/5): - Ad very misleading, they tell you AFTER non refundable booking. Took one look at the horrible apartment and made other arrangements. 100% bait and switch. Laundry facilities are not in the apartments but communial, the bed was visibly lumpy, not clean, not safe for solo travels, locks were not sufficent, approx 4 parking spaces through dumpster area and horrible smell.

• Bertha (4/5): - I liked that there were separate rooms to have our kids in another room. I liked that there was a washer and dryer. I liked that these was a full kitchen. Unfortunately, there were a few things I didn't like. Check in is in another hotel which is about 5 minutes away. In my situation it was an inconvenience because I had two young children with me and hauling our luggage to other location was not ideal. Luckily, my husband was with us so he stayed behind and they let us leave our luggage in that location until it was time for checkin. The elevators broke on the second day of our stay so we had to carry our luggage down the stairs. The washer/dyer left black stains on our clothes after our first wash. There was no air conditioner, the two small fans that were available for us where not working. We were also 45 minutes away from downtown but in traffic it can be up to two hours because there is no feeway and the speed limit is 20mph.
• David (4/5): Hot and noisy. - Clean and compact No air conditioning. Had to use provided fans - inadequate. Therefore had to leave window open which meant that due to location was noisy all night. So hot and noisy = bad nights sleep.
• Jeffrey (2/5): - room was fine common areas were disgusting this property should not be on the Expedia web site items of clothing and rubbish strewn all over the floor If I could have booked into the hotel i would have but they were full Hampton Suites was the problem

Charging top dollar should mean good condition throughout, the furnishings were tired and damaged. Fans were provided which did not work. Maintenance is clearly an issue at this property. Would I stay again - NO.
• Nick (8/5): Good value for money - Location perfect, studio as described, very clean and comfortable everything we needed for our stay. Two Fans in the apartment which were appreciated. No Wifi, not sure why not, had we stayed longer than one night it would have been an issue. I think the text information provided is out of date and needs to be checked.

• Ailish (8/5): - Overall it was very good. There really needs to be a bedside light as I had to get out of bed to switch the light off. A door stop for the balcony door would also be useful.
• Louisa (6/5): However apart from my complaints the apartment was in a great location for us it was very quite and there were plenty of - It was a great location for us, and it was nice to have separate rooms to relax in as apposed to a hotel room . I had a duvet cover as my sheet on my bed, we had a flannel as a dish cloth, the shower cubicle needed a good bleach and the whole place needed a paint and repair to doors and skirting boards . I am sure that the hotel rooms in the Crowne Plaza are cleaner and decorated better than this apartment .

• Kevin (8/5): Nice studio apartment. - Nice studio apartment with everything I needed (but no toilet roll!). Very clean. This was during a heat wave. There is no air conditioning & the two fans were ineffectual. Luckily the balcony door opened fully. I would stay here again.

• Vijay (3/5): Not safe to be family-friendly - Location was helpful At 315am was woken up by a party in the apartment above. I called the receptionist at Crowne Plaza who can over as soon as he could. He spoke politely with the protagonists but they didn’t stop the party, they just toned the volume down. I had no sleep thus. And to be honest it was a reality check that this type of property is neither safe nor appropriate for families with kids etc. I will not stay here again

• Rachael (2/5): Not worth the money - Very little. The lack of air con. In this warm weather the apartment is UNBEARABLE. Asked for a lot of fans before we arrived. Only one was left which was about as useful as a chocolate kettle. The noise from the main road, unable to open windows due to no security or secure window on the ground floor The fact that the pull out sofa bed was harder than concrete and my sister now needs surgery on her spine because of the bed springs and no mattress provided. 3 towels when they knew there was 4 guests
