Jasmin (10/5): - Loved staying here. Near Hoehyeon Metro. And within walking distance if Myeongdong (15mins) and Naedaemun Market (10mins). The airport limousine stop is also about 5mins walking distance away. Very close to N Seoul Tower Cable Car as well (10mins walking distance). Staff are very friendly and willing to help. They even have umbrellas at the front for their guests to use during the day if its raining. The room is kept very clean.

To top it off, the Reception Team were so friendly and absolutely fantastic. I will be staying at this Hotel on my next trip to Seoul for sure!

jaafar (4/5): - The room is not good, narrow and has no ventilation. It smells of cleaning materials. Enter the room because the cleaning cart is stored next to the room. At the end of the trip at 12 noon, departure time, the lady working at the reception and the cleaner were not good as they opened the room on me more than once while we were leaving the hotel. I told them to give me a few minutes to prepare my bag.
Tracey (10/5): - The hotel easily met our needs: air conditioning, a mini fridge, elevator, and a lockable drawer were amenities that we really liked. No breakfast is available, however there are plenty of coffee shops and convenience stores in the area. The Airport Shuttle is extra, but the staff was happy to arrange it for us. It is also near a subway station.
Tracy (10/5): Fantastic Hotel - Fantastic hotel. Close to subway station walking distance to Namdaemun and Myeong-dong. The hotel was clean and quiet. The rooms were comfortable on the smaller side but plenty big enough as only sleeping there. The beds were so comfortable a big plus. The staff were lovely. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would book again when we return to Korea. Yes it is situated up an alley but not a problem at all. Small roof top terrace with lovely views.

My only complaint is that the shower is not separated, so you would have to wait until the floors are dry before using the bathroom again. Overall, great experience and would do it again if I have to.

When we came back, everything have been brought up to our room. It looks like this hotel was renovated recently. It is not fancy, but it has everything you need. The room isn't big, but it is well organized, clean and comfortable. I will definitely recommend this hotel. And I am already looking forward to staying here again on my next visit to myeondong.

jon (10/5): - Arrived in Seoul without reservations. At Gimpo Airport studied Expedia reviews. This property seemed to be a standout review-wise, and the superb location near Nandaemun Market and Myeongdong was attractive. When I arrived I was very happy with my choice. One of the tightest-run ships of any small hotel I have ever been to anywhere! Staff bent over backwards to help make my trip better. Helped with advice on DMZ trips, maps, directions. Spoke good English. Loved the rooftop small bench/table with view south to Seoul Tower. This became my go-to morning Zen spot to relax, decompress, prepare for the day, drink the excellent espresso coffee (free) from the machine in the lobby. The entire property was clean, clean, clean. I did have a basement no windows room several days as the property is always seemingly in demand and I had to take what was available. But the lack of windows in that small room was no big deal. I loved the feeling of safety, the wonderful staff, the generally excellent location for the foreign tourist; just wish I could have stayed for uninterrupted chunk of time, as the place being popular, I had to go elsewhere for several days in the middle, due to my lack of advance planning. This property deserves its consistently excellent reviews. It IS a little hard to find as are many hotel properties in Seoul, in a small alley off the main drag of Toegye-Ro. Nearby convenience store directed me to it that first night. All in all this was a great choice.

The location is very convenient since it only around a 5- minute walk from the airport bus 6015 drop off and Hoehyeon station/Namdaemun Market. There are so many dining options in the area and the hotel has posters on the wall which shows directions to nearby attractions like Namsan Tower and Myeongdong Market (around 15-minute walk).

Claire Monique Cabral (10/5): - I LOVED staying at Daeyoung Hotel! It was a super convenient location. They're right next to Namdaemun market and a short walk to Myeongdong, so there's a lot of cheap shopping options in the area. Plus, Hohyeon station is right at the end of the road, so it was super easy to get anywhere else! Right next to 2 CU convenient stores and LA Bab, too. Plus, the hotel itself was awesome! I got the economy single room, so it was pretty small, but it had literally everything I needed: a comfortable bed, self-controlled AC and fridge in the unit, TV with Netflix sign-in option, and a full private bathroom (no tub though, if you're looking for a place with one). They have a cute little communal kitchen/dining area on the first floor for quick meals -- I loved that I could meet other guests there! The hotel has an elevator, and so is accessible if you have trouble using the stairs, but the elevator and room doors are pretty narrow, so you might want to inquire before booking if your mobility device is wide. Finally, the staff was SO nice and accommodating! Very friendly and kind, and they were very knowledgeable about the area. If I had a question about where I could go to find something or restaurant recommendations, they had me covered. They even had umbrellas I could borrow if I needed one! Plus it was very helpful that they spoke English! Thanks, Daeyoung Hotel, for the awesome stay!
joshbE8047JC (10/5): Amazing hotel, 100% recommend! - Honestly it's hard to fault this hotel, the staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room on the top floor was spacious for Seoul, had more consumables to use than most hotels along with a fridge stocked with water. The remote controls the TV, AC and light which is super handy. Japanese style tiolet which was an experience (a good one) We initially struggled to find the hotel due to layout of some older more traditional areas of Seoul (it is more alleyways than streets and google maps isnt great in South Korea, we used Hotel Mido as a landmark). Once we found it we couldn't be happier. It's near loads of shops, bars and restaurants and if you've made it this far.... the balcony on the 5th has seating with views of N.Seoul Tower! In summary once we found the place we were really impressed, great price and would certainly recomend for couples or solo travellers!
Ken (6/5): - Although clean it’s an old building. As such, it comes with things as: 1)Not very good insulation, ie. you can hear toilet flush and sink water from the room next door; 2)Light switches are bad design. All on/off switches are next to the door entry. So, for example, if you want to turn the spot lights at the head of the bed you need to walk to the door; 3)The electrical plug in is the old 2 large prongs, so you need an adapter to use any electrical devices from North America if you happen to bring along. The good things are it’s close to bus/subway and local shopping/dinning, plus the service staffs are very nice.

The staff was so nice, the room was small but we were expecting that, but there was always enough hot water, a bidet, laundry service, an area to keep your luggage after you checked out, a small fridge in the room, a window for night air, a very comfortable bed, large towels, a blow dryer, plug ins for chargers, and a mirror and desk. We had a wonderful time, the property was super clean and our room changed every day. We would DEFINITELY stay here again!

Room simple but clean, shoes off and slippers on policy. The location is perfect for the tourist areas, we actually walked quite a lot. Absolutely recommended!

Cindy (10/5): Such a great local hotel! - This is such a cute family run hotel. They are very nice and the room has everything you need including extra amenities like toothbrushes, water bottles in mini fridge, robes and slippers. Very convenient to the Blue line Metro and close to shopping. Convenience store on corner. I enjoyed my stay here. It is a short walk up a small paved alley from the main road, so that's a consideration if you have mobility issues

Eileen (8/5): 2nd visit at hotel - We booked this hotel during our second visit to Seoul due to the close proximity to the subway and Myeongdong area. Our room this time was much smaller (on the 2nd floor) and less area to put our luggage. The bathroom was also not as clean.

Salayman (10/5): - Has all the basic things for a great hotel stay. Clean. Helpful and friendly staff. Lift in hotel. Luggage storage. Convenient with transport e.g. about 3-4min walk to Hoehyeon station (1 stop from Seoul station) which has escalator access for luggage. Many buses.
John (8/5): Small room but good as long as you accept this - A great little hotel which is well placed for metro and getting around Seoul.
ETame (6/5): Not the best option in this area - It is in a good location, but not accessible by car, difficult to find itl I had trouble with the taxi getting there. The room is simple, but the bathroom is very small, combining the toilet with it shower. Elevator is good, but small and slow. there is plenty of further hotels in the area which I thought were more convenient. Also, the reservations were not honored, and I had to move to another hotel.
JOHN J (10/5): - This is a very clean and modern hotel. The staff is very helpful and efficient. Close to Namdebeun Shopping district and many restaurants. A Subway station is located rright around the corner, so travel is easy. I stayed in the budget small room, but if you need motre room, just upgrade.

Gladys (10/5): Highly recommend - The staff were wonderful. Very pleasant and helpful. The hotel may be kind of old style but it was clean and enough space for two of us, it’s in Seoul a big city. The location is perfect and very convenient. Walk to Myeongdong, Namdaemun market. one station from Seoul station. The price is affordable.

Eileen (10/5): Comfortable stay in Myeongdong area - Enjoyed our stay here for four nights. Great location a block from the Hoehyeon station and walking distance from myeongdong market and shopping area. The room is a bit small for two adults, but we didn’t have a lot of luggage (rolling bag and backpack per person) so it was fine. The bed mattress was firm and supportive, and shower water pressure was perfect. Aircon worked well also. Reception was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return.
Michael (10/5): - Great location 15 mintes walk fro Seoul station, 5 minutes walk to Hoehyon underground station and Naemdemung market.15minutes walk to Myeondong Market.20mins walk to the cable car to seoul tower. Nicely decorated rooms with efficient aircon.. The roomsare not so large so if you had a several largecases might not be the best option, although the hotel may have larger roooms and facilities to store items ... we didnt ned this so didn't ask. Loads of dining options nearby both Korean anda Burger King 150 metres away. We,really enjoyed ourweek long stay.
