• Naoto (5/5): Not bad - I think the location was good. The scenery was beautiful. There were several large spiders in the room, but since the place is surrounded by nature, I think it was unavoidable. The food was not tasty at all. For a place that calls itself a five-star hotel, I don’t think this level of cuisine is acceptable.

• Melinda (10/5): It was an excellent property and I hope to visit again. - The breakfast was great! All of the meals were great! It was a wonderful touch having the staff remember our name. Ray was excellent is showing us around and making us feel welcomed. He was very attentive in wanting to meet any needs that we might have had. Promise was very good in driving us around and pointing our the animals. He was very knowledgable of the terrain and animals. Also, we were very thankful for the heated blankets during the night. The weather was so cold but this was not your fault.

• Arjan (8/5): Heerlijk! - Locatie, service, hygiënisch. Je mag het eigenlijk geen minpunt noemen, maar het licht bij het diner mag wat feller om goed te kunnen zien wat je eet. Het was nu zeer sfeervol, maar minder praktisch.

The food was outstanding and the staff cater to your every need with plenty of smiles. Everyone goes the extra mile. There’s nothing not to like.

• Lois Ann (10/5): Absolutely beyond our expectations -- sure hope we can visit again! - Facitlies were wonderful, but our guide was tops as he could find wild game before other guides! We saw an amazing variety of wild game every day including lionesses, giraffes, zebras, kudos, buffalo, wildebeests, hippos, elephants, elans, impalas, etc. So exciting! Our cabin was a little cool but we could easily relax in the Lodge that had a wood fire burning!

We had a great guide for the drives and the staff were very good at the camp. Signage to the camp meeting point was hard to find due to construction on the sealed road out there.

The lodge only takes 20 guests and we saw all the game we came for with a superb and knowledgeable guide. Fantastic food as well.

• Simone (9/5): Geparden-Safari - Die Unterkunft ist wirklich schön. Aus unserer Lodge konnten wir eine Elefantenherde beobachten, was uns als Glücksfall beschrieben wurde. Die Geparden und Löwen haben wir auch gesehen, nur der Leopard versteckt sich scheinbar. Der Pool ist klein, aber fein. Das Essen war sehr sehr lecker und das Personal sehr freundlich.

The staff, from the facility Manager down to the general Cleaners are ALL super friendly! My only personal drawdown was the lack of wifi connectivity in my room / guess the whole idea is to disconnect and maximum relaxation. My biggest concern though was the fact animals of all kinds can roam inside the facility at any given time.

The staff were absolutely on point and we had so much fun we stayed an extra night! We had great animal sightings as well seeing 4 of the Big 5. Our room was excellent and the bar drinks selection was excellent. We will definitely come back Nothing. The signal is limited and WIFI is only available in the common areas but we were happy to have some time offline.

Location, accommodation, and staff were 5 star! - The location was excellent and the staff were wonderful: Henry, Robert, Siya, Shay and the others made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The game drives were great, and thanks to Siya, we saw the big 5 - up close! There's not much not to like. If pushed, I feel the evening meal was somewhat disappointing; the prawns and fish were overcooked. Re accommodation: the duvet was very heavy - too heavy to sleep under!

• Jane (10/5): We’re planning when we will go again. This time was 5 nights. We need to stay longer. - We were returning visitors. It’s a 1700klm drive from the cape west coast for us. And so worth it. The staff go above and beyond, the facilities are spot on, the whole team make everything run seamlessly. You come away feeling totally spoilt. The weight I put on. It’s very difficult to turn the lovely food away.

• Julie (9/5): - Excellent hospitality and staff; lovely and spacious room, and we also enjoyed hanging out and dining at the main lodge. We very much appreciated how accommodating everyone was with our child and an older grandmother. Would prefer afternoon game drive to start a bit later (4pm would be ideal). A slightly later checkout time would also be preferred--we felt rushed to leave the bush breakfast to get back to our rooms and shower/pack/etc before having to leave.

I love a place with a view and Umzolozolo has a beautiful view with a Warmed infinitive swimming pool. Game drives were Awesome and our guide Nols was a hoot and extremely knowledgable. Highly recommend

Nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond all the time. Nothing! The pool and spa could have been slightly bigger, but it wouldn't change my overall score of this place.

• Martin (8/5): - The air conditioning in the room is preset to 24 degrees and cannot be changed. This was much too hot for me and so I couldn’t sleep. This detracted from a wonderful stay and has put me coming again with friends and family. If this can be changed so that guests have a remote and can change the temperature to their preference (16 degrees for me in summer) then I’d love to visit again

Facility is on a private reserve and the lodges all communicate so one never felt crowded when seeing the animals. Never more than 3 vehicles at any one site. nothing

• AshinaR (9/5): Birthday Weekend at Umzolozolo Safari Lodge - Amazing Safari Experience within Nambiti Private Game Reserve. The chalet was comfortable and well equipped. Food was good and service was top notch. Our Game Ranger Promise was excellent and he definitely got us the best possible view point at sightings to get incredible pictures. The staff from bartender to kitchen staff were lovely, friendly and efficient. Construction at Chalet 2 was a bit of an inconvenience with regards to noise level as we were staying in Chalet 3 which was in closest proximity to the Chalet being revamped. It was my Birthday on 15th September and was the reason for our trip: it was disappointing that no effort was made by the management to acknowledge my special day. I informed the establishment at the time of booking(I received a written response from Tracey acknowledging my birthday & it definitely be special) and my husband mentioned it to Raymond at check in as well & Raymond even joked about not revealing all the surprises. I have stayed at Nambiti Hills before which was outstanding and feel that the Umzolozolo management dropped the ball with guest relations on this point.

• Rob (10/5): Brilliant and would recommend it! Thank you for your great hospitality. - Staff were brilliant. They made the stay. Our guide Siya was brilliant, and barman Henry was first class. Food was always good and the overall impression good. Bathroom could have a little more thought re the placement of the basins, not leaving much space for toiletries etc. But that was a minor issue.

The game drives were the highlight and Noeleen, our guide provided a world class experience It was a bit difficult to find the location. Particularly because we were driving at night. The road signs could be better.
