- Amber (1/5): - Nothing Upon getting to the hotel, we had to wait 15-minutes for someone to come to the front desk. I paid for an extra large suit, thinking it would be cleaner and nicer. I was wrong. The hotel is rundown and trashy. The room was so bad I took some pictures, grabbed my bags, and walked right out. We ended up going to a different hotel at 11pm. Do not recommend this property.

- Y6673AOamandaa (2/5): Read before booking - Unfortunately, we encountered several issues that impacted our experience. The heating system in our room made a loud crashing noise every time it cycled on or off, and the proximity to the train tracks resulted in being woken up by Amtrak trains around 4:00 AM each morning. Regarding the amenities, we were disappointed that the lobby bar remained closed throughout the week. While we understand occupancy may have been low, the lobby bar provides an upscale atmosphere and easier access than the rooftop bar. Furthermore, we were surprised to find drinks and food served in plastic cups, plates and utensils, particularly as the rooftop was closed for winter and there were no pool or hot tub facilities in use. On New Year’s Eve, we hoped to enjoy a glass of champagne in our room. We were informed that we could only get a drink at the rooftop bar until 9:00 PM, and when we asked for other options, we were advised to go elsewhere. When we did visit the rooftop bar, the only champagne available was a basic screwtop brand served in a plastic cup. As a Bonvoy member, I am extremely disappointed in this stay and cannot recommend this location to others.

- Joe516M (8/5): Cool place to stay at in downtown Davenport - The vibe of the place is relaxed and modern. The check in experience was a breeze and the staff was friendly. When I got to the room, I was instantly amazed at the high ceiling and the details that made it stand out from other hotel rooms, such as the unique light fixtures, marble floors, huge windows, barn-door panel to cover the closet, bathrobes, Keurig coffee maker, weighing scale and bidet in the bathroom and even the folded end of the toilet roll to make it look like a flower (See pictures). As others have mentioned, the sound of the train horn can be clearly heard in the room (mine was facing downtown). Also, to get wifi, you have to sign up for their loyalty program. Check out was painless as well. The hotel parking lot was full so I parked on the street, which was a bit nerve wracking but it turned out okay as my car was still there unscathed the following morning.

- Jennifer (6/5): Okay, but for the price look elsewhere - We were celebrating our anniversary and excited to try this hotel, however after our experience we wouldn’t stay there again. The first room we were given was dirty, which the front desk begrudgingly swapped for us. The new room was 60 degrees, but warmed up while we were having dinner at the rooftop bar. Great space! Service was bad despite being wide open. Our toilet had a horrid smell despite appearing clean. Pool was so filthy and had piles of brown grunge in the corners so we didn’t use it. Loud hallways, and middle of the night disturbances. This hotel has potential but needs a major shift in attention to cleanliness, maintenance and service. Wish I had thought to get photos.

- sherrieDu (10/5): Great stay - The hotel was super nice. Loved the roof top bar. Drinks were well priced unlike many hotel bars. Breakfast was good and agin fairly priced. Bed was super comfortable and the room was very clean. The one downside was I could hear the train at night in my room and it woke me up a few times. I would stay here again but bring a fan or ask for a room on the other side.

- Steve (10/5): - A beautiful historical hotel with Hot tub, pool and a great rooftop bar. It’s right across the street from the River, and most down town Restaurants and attractions are easily walkable including The Figge Art Museum, and the Adler Theater. I would love to stay here again.

Well the quickness was there, but the room and service was a let down! Our room had broken sconces, non-functional bidet, and the lighted mirror didn't light in the bathroom. Add to that the horns from the trains and poor service from the desk staff ( he spent so long on the phone complaining about his job and the issues with hotel while ignoring customers that we left.) Stay somewhere else!

- Mark (4/5): - We have stayed at other Autograph Properties and really enjoyed them. We appreciate the focus on quirky designs and innovative features. When we checked into The Current we expected the same. Its art themed approach was nice, but we quickly found the maintenance and service lacking; something that has never been an issue in other Autograph properties. The bidet was broken, the lighted mirror didn't work, the bed side light was borken and housekeeping never cleaned our room on our second night. When we went to discuss accomidation changes with reception staff, we were ignored while they talked on the phone; after 10 min we grew tired of waiting and left. A simple acknowledgement or signal that they will be with us soon would have been nice. If you are considering this hotel, I would continue looking. They are many discount hotels in the area that will provide better service and better accomidations.

- elizabeth (10/5): - Unfortunately, we had a few issues with both Marriott hotels this weekend however, the manager of this establishment, as well as the young lady that was at the desk last night Sunday night was absolutely top-notch and customer service. They were kind they were polite and they were extremely patient as I was a bit of a hot mess and they took care of me better than anybody has in years in a hotel stay so they had a few amenities that were not working due to staffing however, they were completely apologetic and kind and we will go back to this hotel. It is a beautiful hotel. Well decorated rooms and beds are awesome. Highly recommend this hotel for a downtown area. Absolutely beautiful.

- Woodsie7 (10/5): Great Hotel! - This is an old historic hotel in downtown Davenport, Iowa. The lobby, lobby, bar and guest rooms are beautifully appointed and feature a lot of local artists. Their rooftop bar offers spectacular views. The bathroom is quite some thing. Beautiful! There is a television in the middle of the mirror. There is also one of those fancy toilets. The bed and pillows are extremely comfortable. As I was exploring the hotel and various rooms on our floor, I was surprised to discover a dog wash station which provided shampoo and towels so that you could wash your dog. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and have never encountered such a nice amenity. If ever in Davenport, Iowa, we would stay here again and would recommend to others as well.

- sb631 (10/5): What a gem! - This hotel is a true gem. Comfort, great staff, and nice amenities. My visit began with a very early arrival due to an early flight. I knew I was well ahead of the check-in time but I had a full afternoon of remote work. Helene greeted me at the desk and apologized no room was ready. I knew I was early so no worries. I did ask if there might be a quiet spot where I could work for a few hours. I was quickly directed to a very private area on the first floor where I spent several hours in a bright and sunny space. When I got to my room I found it loaded with great features. It was much larger than I expected. AC was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The best feature was likely the rooftop bar/restaurant. It opened each day at 4:00 with some drinks at 1/2 off. Luck was with me that both days of my visit were sunny and warm. What a treat to end the day with a cold beer, in the warm sun, and a fantastic view of the Mississippi River. This is likely one of the best hotel experiences I have had in years ... many years. Parking was easy across the street for $12 but both days I was off site and did not return until after the on street 2 hour parking limit expired for the day. I was able to easily find on street parking at, or after 4:00, which resulted in free parking. I left a review directly with the hotel and received a personal communication from the Front Office Manager. I highly recommend the Current Iowa.

Shower very difficult to figure out and tub was very slippery to stand in. Disappointed with food options within hotel, but lots of other choices within walking distance.

- Alan (10/5): A fine place to stay in all respects. - Understated, well-executed design in our room; high quality finishes, linens, towels; 2 bathrobes provided in our room; comfortable mattress, pillows; quiet, effective temperature control; overall quiet; bold contemporary design in public areas; cleanliness everywhere; great food - we had dinner on arrival, then breakfast before departure; lots of accessible parking; unpretentious, polite, helpful, efficient staff. My wife and I considered ourselves safe walking the streets around the hotel at night, but those streets were practically empty. Not many people live in downtown Davenport.

I HIGHLY recommend this hotel to all! The hotel was classy, fun and a blast to stay at! I will definitely be staying at this hotel again!

- davidlU8867VE (10/5): Excellent - The Current We stayed for one night and it was great. This is a converted old 7 or 8 story office building one block from the Mississippi River. Downtown Davenport has been rehabbed and is all by itself worth the visit. Our hotel room on the 5th floor was perfect. The room overlooks downtown and has a decent view of the river. Our room was large and the bed was good. The bath had LOTS of room with both a shower and tub. A TV screen imbedded in the bath mirror was interesting and unusual. The check in and out was excellent and both times the attendants were focused on their customer. Parking is right across the street with easy access to the hotel. We were very pleased with our stay and certainly would recommend this hotel.

The rooftop bar is not to be missed with its firetables and views overlooking the riverfront. Beds are comfortable, and each room is thoughtfully styled. Dakota at the bar was fun and engaging. Every employee we talked to loved working at the hotel which is a great sign of a well-managed property. There is a bakery at the hotel and the hotel restaurants serve fresh homemade breads baked on premise. Only suggestions: needed a more substantial menu for the restaurant for dinner.

- SUSAN (10/5): Great place to stay. - Room was clean. Beds were comfortable. Our room overlooked the guest parking lot across the street. We did not use the pool or the Up bar. It was too cold and we got it too late after a show to utilize. The bathroom was amazing. Shower pressure wasn't real strong. 1st time I'd ever used a bidet. The TV in the bathroom mirror didnt work which is no big deal, but it was March Madness and we were wanting to watch while we got ready to go out for the evening. I would stay here again. The only complaint I have is I think there should be more hooks in the bathroom to hang wet towels. But no big deal really. There is a mini fridge and a safe in the room. Small coffee bar.

- X7978WHmarke (2/5): CRAP STAY with no SUPPORT! - The staff at the hotel did not attend to our needs and were rude! When we checked in, we were told the was no parking available for the night. We were there on a Saturday night, 7:30pm just 30 minutes before our dinner reservation at 8:00pm. Thats when we learned we would have to find a place to park on the street. GOOD LUCK! Or we could park at the local ramp for $10.00. Really? They have 40 parking spaces for the entire hotel! You pay $222 for one night and basic room with NO PARKING! When we asked to talk to the Manager, we were told we would need to talk to him in the morning. The next morning, we did talk to Isaac Pena, Front Office Manager. This conversation proved to be a complete waste of time as Issac did not care about our parking experience and did nothing to solve our concern after spending $222. We could care less about the $10.00 it was the fact that they have this as a company decision to tell the Guest at the time of check in they can spend their time to look for a spot on the street or pay someone else for the bad amenities the hotel is happy to make it your problem to find a spot for your car. So, for $10.00 we can BE UNHAPPY! There are 50 other places you can stay with parking provided right outside the front door in Davenport and without the bad management skills to deal with. As a Platinum Elite Member, YOU DO NOT WANT TO STAY HERE! Not even if the room was FREE, the staff and Managment there will not make your stay a nice experience. I will not go back! We will plan our next stay in Davenport at the BLACK HAWK HOTEL, spend the extra $30 to experience a real hotel where they care about your stay. Mark E- Galena, IL

- DanRandom (8/5): Gem in downtown Davenport - This was a really nice, quirky, urbane spot in downtown Davenport. The artwork around the hotel was really cool. The room (201) was very large with a very comfortable bed, huge bathroom, and amazing windows. It was a really nice find in the city and walkable to the Figge Art Museum, restaurants, bars, and the riverfront. Parking is in a lot across the street. Front desk staff was a bit aloof but professional and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

I was forced to park down the street in a garage surrounded by mentally ill and very scary homeless people. On top of that, the room was HOT! HUGE mistake booking here!

The current is more modern (but in an older building) and I enjoyed the stay. It can be a bit noisy (like the BH) with trains and road noise. I liked the room very well and the bed was comfy. Staff were great. Nice lobby bar. Easy parking across the street.
- racheldH819WS (6/5): Stay at the Hotel Blackhawk - If you’re debating between The Current and The Blackhawk, stay at the Blackhawk. We have now stayed at both and the parking at The Current is across the street. Unloading on the street in front of the hotel, is not without stress. Also, the decor in our room at the Current was bizarre. The Blackhawk is nicer all around, and the train doesn’t wake you up in the middle of the night, as it does at the Current.

The laid out of the hotel was easy of to get around and had no problem finding anything. The suit I had was huge for one person and could fit 8 people easily and the furnishings were too notch. The bathroom was well lit and had a nice walk in shower and bidet…so nice 👍 The hotel does charge $12 to park and in a pretty nice area. I would highly recommend this hotel if staying in the QC area for business or pleasure! 😎
- Jennifer (4/5): Wish it was the same quality hotel as when I first stayed in 2019. - Love the location This was my third stay at The Current. The facility has steadily gone downhill since my first stay. Fixtures, linens, the property itself looks rough around the edges. Some staff were rude.

- Ronanjk698 (10/5): Very impressive hotel - Just spent 4 nights here as over in the US for our son’s graduation, and we were not disappointed. With spacious rooms, very comfortable beds, lovely friendly staff and crucially, a high level of cleanliness throughout, we had a great stay for such an important occasion. The rooftop terrace has to be the hottest spot in town. If you’re going to Davenport, look no further for a very impressive hotel.
