• Stephanie (9/5): Sehr entspannter und schöner Aufenthalt - Gemütliches, kleines Hotel mit geräumigen Zimmer und traumhafter Dachterrase mit Pool, Liegen und genialen Ausblick - vom Zimmmer aus der Sonnenaufgang und von der Terasse der Sonnenuntergang! Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, beim Frühstück wurde sogar kurzfristig auf meine Laktoseintoleranz Rücksicht genommen. Die Straße ist leider sehr laut, man kann das Zimmer nur mäßig abdunkeln, bei der Lage empfiehlt sich ein Moped oder Golfwagen!

• Aziza (10/5): Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt war es einfach ideal. - Die Einrichtung des Hotels ist wunderschön und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Mein Zimmer hatte eine hervorragende Lage und hat mir insgesamt sehr gut gefallen. Besonders begeistert hat mich das Frühstück – als großer Fan von frischem Obst kam ich hier voll auf meine Kosten, da es eine große Auswahl gab. Ein weiteres Highlight war die Dachterrasse: Sie ist wirklich traumhaft schön und jederzeit zugänglich. Selbst nach dem Check-out konnte ich dort noch entspannt Zeit verbringen. Außerdem habe ich viele hilfreiche Tipps und Empfehlungen erhalten, was meinen Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Habe nichts anzumerken.

Escalera complicada dentro del duplex “ supuesta suite”. La cama doble, media Max 1,20cm. Las sábanas y toallas machadas de óxido y maquillaje. Las fotos lucen más de lo que realmente te encuentras.

On voit dit vue sur la mer, mais il faut préciser qu’entre l’hôtel et la mer il y a une route très passante (voir photo) et le bruit est pénible. Problème d’eau chaude. Le lavabo de la salle de bain avait une grosse fuite alors on nous a demandé de ne pas l’utiliser.

We loved the staff attitude and friendliness. The location was perfect for us, allowing us to visit the whole island and be away from the crowd but close enough (even on food - infrastructure not great for walking though) the the Centro. Basic but Tasty breakfast. It was quite different from the pictures on booking. Looks way brighter and bigger on the pictures. The shower is really great idea and design but not useful and not too much of hot water. Don't count on the wi-fi. No where to put wet clothes, bathing suit etc. A bit of broken small things here and there (toilet seat, balkony door).

• Jane (9/5): Beautiful facility and views - Great property, beautiful sunrises, excellent breakfast delivered to the room every morning by the maids and they returned later to clean the room. The views from both the balcony and the rooftop were spectacular. Location was nice because you could easily walk to either the north side or do activities in the Colony area. The reception staff were great- personable and helpful, they suggested activities and specific cab drivers to use if we were going further than walking distance. Assisted in getting golf carts delivered to the property on days we wanted to explore the island. There are a lot of ants in the room even when keeping all food in the small frig. This seems like this could be easily managed.
• michelle (5/5): It was a lovely place, just way over priced for what u got. Not worth the 300per nite. - The property was maintained, but the bottom floor was close to the street and very noisy. I was supposed to be on the second floor king room, which I was able to stay in for a couple of nights , but I hade to move 3 time to 3 different rooms, 2 of which were o the 1st floor. Also, it was the same breakfast day after day! boring... I had hoped the rooftop would have been nicer as advertised and a heated pool or jacuzzi. The view was beautiful. They seem to charge 1st world prices in a 3rd world area. Won't be back to Mexico anytime soon if ever. I can go to Europe for same prices.

• Andre (9/5): ANNIVERSARY TRIP - We loved all the smiling, friendly staff and the fresh fruit,pastries,juices & yogurt for breakfast was perfect. The greeters Edwin and Adharra were helpful and fun. The housekeepers were 5 star., very clean rooms and great service! The VIEWS both from the room and rooftop are unmatched. The rooftop pool area is AMAZING. Its center island, so alot quieter than most spots. It faces the carribean side, so is a bit windy, but cool to watch the sunrise and ppl surfing from our patio.! Some ppl complained about the shell shower, but it got hot right away and was decent enough for 2 showers. Bed was comfy, just not for a long sleep (but who wants to sleep long in Mexico, anyways):-) I loved that the hotel was comfortable and not fussy. Felt kinda like home. The doors to the rooms need some updating, night staff leaves by 10 so a solid entry door would be nice. There was a few things advertised that the hotel did not have, bbq, beach bag, cotton puffs, slippers, hammock ( the wind took the one from our room). The TV didn't really work, but we had our tablet and it didn't bother us. There's some road noise till about midnight, but otherwise quiet. Kitchenette needs a tea kettle.

• Wanda (6/5): Boho Quaint But ... - A lovely breakfast was delivered each morning on a beautiful tray; lots of fresh fruit, some type of bread, jam, sometimes peanut butter, fresh juice. Coffee pot in the room. Quaint boho design (more "rustic" than in the pics). Comfortable and large bed. Beautiful rooftop. (Windy. No shade.) The cleaning staff were excellent, helpful, and friendly. Daily service. The front office staff were friendly. Very small boutique with 5 units. We were able to walk 20 minutes into centro and 10 - 20 minutes in the other direction for meals and hotel located out of the bustle. But easy to flag a cab when you want one. We were there for 7 nights and upgraded for a view and what looked like a beautiful balcony on the Booking.com photos. We envisioned quiet candlelit nights over vino. When we arrived, there were two old chairs with ancient stained pillows, a small old coffee table, and an ashtray. NOTHING like the photos. After a few days at my requests, we got an old hammock (not like the one in photos), two candles, and newer pillows. The staff's hands are tied; the owner is clearly uninterested in using hotel profits to keep the rooms up to the standards as depicted. The multiple power lines in front of the view were edited out of the pics. A main road runs in front of the hotel. It's non-stop vehicle noise. It's also a very windy location. If you're renting a golf cart, best to go choose one in town. We wanted to give the hotel the biz, but they ordered us the oldest low power, noisiest cart on the island. For the same price, we could have gotten one of the more deluxe, quiet carts.

Toll innenarchitektonisch gestaltet mit viel Liebe und Geschmack! Schöne Dachterrasse zum sundowner. Leckere Frühstücksplatte. Sehr toller Service!!! Direkt vor der Unterkunft verläuft die Straße auf der Tag und Nacht Verkehr ist. Der Strand über der Straße ist nicht zum Baden. Von der Unterkunft muss man immer Taxi fahren oder sich ein Golf-Cart leihen (rel. teuer: 95 € /Tag). In die nördliche Ortschaft läuft man ca. 15 min direkt an der Straße. Für das Geld wäre ein Fitnessraum ganz schön. Die Muschel-Duschköpfe sind stylish, aber unpraktikabel.

• RobsDyer (4/5): Doesn't match listing- be careful - The housekeeping staff were friendly. The linen was good quality. The listing is not accurate at all. I booked a "deluxe double room with balcony and sea view". The view is a semi-partial sea view at best, and the balcony has no furniture other than 1 hammock. When I bought this to the hotel's attention, he said it was unrealistic for me to expect him to do anything about the palms that had grown since the pictures were taken, and now block the view, as it's "nature". I was told I could pay for a more expensive room, or leave with NO refund. Also note that most of the facilities included in the description (desk, proper wardrobe, BBQ, unit on ground floor, among others) are not there. When I asked to speak to the manager who had made that decision, I was denied. Also to note that the wind GAILED there for the full 4 days we were there, but it was totally calm everywhere else on the island- it's in a very exposed position that is an unpleasant 20 minute walk on a busy road to the nearest restaurant. I would advise other travellers to book elsewhere - this didn't meet expectations.

• Buxton (9/5): - The room was stunning, as was the property as a whole and matched the photos! Icaco was attentive and responsive leading up to and during our stay, and assisted with our transport around the island. The breakfast in the room was an extra special touch. We loved the idea of a shower that pours water from a shell, but although the temperature was perfect throughout, the amount of water/pressure wasn't strong. To be honest, for our 3 night stay it was fine, but not the best pressure or output. We'd also recommend adding some shaded areas of the roof as it's all pretty much open, so we didn't get to utilize that area too much without getting too much sun.
• Thomas (8/5): Cozy stay with a great view from the pool! - The view at the rooftop swimming pool was astonishing! We had a small problem upon check-in, but the hostess arranged everything right away. She was extremely friendly and helpful; she gave us tips for restaurants and telephone numbers for guided tours. The room was cozy and clean. The breakfast was simple but very tasteful. 5 minutes from the hotspots of the island.

• Brienna (10/5): Beauty is in the details. - The details. Where to begin - I rented the loft room. All is beautifully decorated and well thought out. From the memory foam pillows, to the lush bath products to the charcuterie breakfast served in the room, coffee/tea, fridge, nice toilet paper!, boat window, shell shower faucet, beautiful location to experience sunset and sunrise from the rooftop jacuzzi or sunrise right across the street at the beach. This place was a much needed sanctuary after an unnecessarily bad experience at another property on the island (maya monkey). All staff were friendly. Happened to meet the Italian owner when I checked out. Location was close enough to walk downtown yet far enough away from the noise and touristic buzz. That I only could stay one night! This will be my go to home when I return to Isla Mujeres.

• Tatiana (10/5): It was an incredible stay — thank you! - I loved the location and how charming the place is. The staff is very attentive, always available and ready to answer any questions. I arrived without a car or golf cart, and they immediately arranged taxis for me. Everything was smooth and easy. The island is stunning. I truly recommend this property I’ve traveled a lot and stayed in many places, and this is definitely one I would come back to, either with my partner or family. The only small thing is the shower. It’s beautiful with the seashell design, but a bit impractical if you want to wash your body without getting your hair wet. Still, it fits perfectly with the room’s aesthetic and looks amazing.

• Celine (8/5): Prima hotel - vriendelijk ontvangst, goede communicatie, aardige medewerkers. Ligging: aan een vrij drukke weg. Aan de overkant van de weg is een strandje (geen schaduwplek). Op een kwartiertje lopen van het centrum. Kamer is mooi, netjes en leuk gedecoreerd, maar op de handdoeken en lakens zitten wel erg veel vlekken. Ook het slot van de schuifdeur was niet heel stevig meer. De bedden liggen fijn. Bij de normale tweepersoonskamer heb je geen zeezicht, alleen staand vanaf je balkon. Als je zeezicht vanaf je bed wil hebben moet je de bovenste kamers hebben (Deluxe). Voor ons was het beneden prima. Iedere ochtend rond 09.00 komt het ontbijt. Ze brengen het naar je kamer op een dienblad. Je krijgt vers fruit, yoghurt, granola, een vers sapje en een broodje/croissantje met wat beleg. Het smaakt goed! Verder is er in de kamer een koelkastje, koffiezetapparaat en magnetron. Daarnaast een ventilator en een airco. In de badkamer staat zeep, shampoo en conditioner. De douche zelf is prima en het water was warm. Het dakterras is mooi en voldoende plek voor meerdere personen. Mooi uitzicht op zee. Er is een klein zwembad/jacuzzi. Er is geen schaduwplek, dat is jammer. Bij Icaco zelf is het over het algemeen rustig. Er zijn maar 4 kamers en 1 appartementje, dus er zijn niet veel gasten. Wel is het behoorlijk gehorig. Wij konden de televisie en stemmen van onze buren heel goed horen, ook als ze naar het toilet gingen of stonden te douchen bijvoorbeeld. Ook het personeel is vanaf ‘‘s ochtends vroeg al druk in de weer, maar zijn niet erg zachtjes. Al met al een prima verblijf.
• Dora (10/5): The most amazing hotel we’ve been to - This was such a gorgeous hotel! We were in our own building with a kitchenette and sofa downstairs and a bedroom with the most amazing en suite, then a balcony with a much needed hammock. Our stay was absolute bliss, helped by the wonderful staff who go out of their way to help. Adeymar was especially great, attending to our every need and always friendly and chatty. If the kitchenette was more kitted out - with a sink, tea towels etc. then everything would have been perfect.

• Travis (10/5): - The property and the staff at icaco were absolutely amazing. One of the most relaxing vacations my wife and I have done. It was convenient, comfortable , and very well maintained. We watched the sunset from the pool deck and sunrise and sea turtles from our balcony. The girls which gave us massages were just as amazing. This was our 2nd trip to Isla and it has become one of our favorite destinations. We will be back and we will definitely stay at icaco again. Thanks for the great memories

• Robyn (8/5): Lovely boutique hotel with friendly staff - just a little bit far from the main town. - Room was beautiful and staff incredibly friendly. The rooftop pool was lovely and breakfast was really nice. No shade at the rooftop pool, the location was quite far from any shops/ a god 20 min walk into town. Also a bit noisy on the main road so couldn't really enjoy the balcony.
• Armando (10/5): Surprisingly amazing hotel. - Beautiful property, I was very impressed with the beauty and cleanliness of this hotel, very comfortable beds and pillows, it even had a small terrace and a hammock, very quiet, you can listen the waves crashing. The breakfast was excellent, the beach is not the best, many rocks, but it was calm and we were the only people on the beach. The upstairs terrace is absolutely amazing, pool, lounge chairs and swing chairs. It will be nice to have a bar and little something to eat at night, but there are many restaurants and bars in the area. We are very pleased with our short stay, we will come back next year.

• Bojan (10/5): Amazing stay - The rooms were nicely decorated and clean. The host was very responsive and helpful. You can rent a golf car directly from the accomodation. The breakfast is exceptional. It is a little bit from the city centre (15-20 min walking) but we liked the location. Would recommand.

• Jessica (10/5): - The property is very neat and clean. There are only 7 rooms. We didn't hear anything from anyone in a neighboring room. The room was as pictured. We did enjoy the breakfast as well. Beach towels are available also. When we arrived, the reception host walked us to our room and did a quick tour. I saw several reviews about the shower pressure. There was no issue with shower pressure. It is coming thru a conch shell - I've never had a shower thru a conch shell and consider it unique and tropical vacation experience.
