Breakfast selection was better than any hotel with homemade jams, cooked selections superb.

It's a beautiful, cozy house, with charming decoration, helpful staff and lovely details (I loved the complimentary homemade cookies in the room!). My only note would be that the bedroom I was in was not super spacious and its bathroom (separate but easily accessible across the hall) was extremely narrow so not sure how that would work for bigger people or couples. I would stay here again though, especially in this season with the gorgeous trees in bloom in the whole street!

The host was also very friendly and informative, and the breakfast was delightful. There are a lot of stairs if your room is on the top floor though, if that's an issue, but the rooms are very comfortable.

- Robert (10/5): Highly recommended - Wonderful period property on a tree lined road in Ayr. The cherry trees were in full bloom when we stayed. The host, Sinclair, was very welcoming when we arrived and took the time to recommend restaurants etc nearby. Our room was very comfortable with a kingsize bed. The room was very quiet, didn't hear any noise at all. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided with the addition of a jar of lovely shortbread biscuits! Room cleaned and bed made every day of our stay, towels replaced as required. All in all a perfect place to stay within walking distance of the beach and town. Highly recommended.

When we arrived and went to our room, it was immaculately clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and the homemade biscuits were delicious. The breakfast the very next day was fantastic, there was so much choice from the buffet table and the cooked breakfast was packed with plenty of flavour. I felt that Sinclair and his staff were very accommodating, friendly, welcoming and professional and I would certainly recommend his guest house without hesitation.

- MARK (10/5): A wee diamond - My wife and I had a fantastic time and couldn't fault anything. First of all the location is excellent right next to the town. When entering the guest House the proprietor couldn't be any more welcoming, the room we stayed in was spotless and also well furnished. We had a very comfortable nights sleeps and ended our stay with a delicious breakfast.

- June (10/5): B&B at its best - Brilliant find within walking distance of all amenities, shops, train station and the hospice where I was visiting a family member. The room was beautifully decorated, well equipped with tea tray ,coffee machine, bottled water and a hairdryer. Although I didn't have an ensuite I had a private shower room which was clean, and had everything I needed. The luxury toiletries, bathrobe and slippers were very welcome. Wi fi was good in the room and the TV and radio supplied a lovely addition. The beautifully cooked breakfasts had plenty of choice and good quality ingredients. I have no hesitation in recommending this B&B.

The owner couldn't have been more helpful. I stayed in a small room which had a tiny shower room for sole use outside of the room (Cathcart room I think) and I wouldn't advise this room for a couple or a large person as the shower is a squeeze.
