- GordB (9/5): I would happily stay there again. - The dinners and breakfasts were really good. Came with a QR code to use with your phone to show how to prep the meal. Plus attentive staff. Room was a good size, annex mountain side. Nice quiet location, a convenience store a short walk one way and the pampas grass fields a short walk the other way. I found the air conditioning instructions were a bit hard to figure out.

- Ann (4/5): Basically underwhelmed and wouldn’t recommend. - The location was fine and close to Wetland Botanical Garden. Near a convenience store and a bus stop. Free drinks were nice. The food was disappointing. The dinner was served too quickly and we had to cook most of our own food at the table. There were written instructions on how to cook, but not much help from staff. The primary fish course, which they prepared, was overcooked and dry and inedible. Our room was okay but a bit tired. The in-room bath was much smaller than it appeared in photos.

We also appreciate the cleanliness and the beautiful location. I’d have appreciated more flexibility about breakfast time. They booked our breakfast and 7:40 am (there were 2 later slots but already all reserved). I realized it is not a matter of space as every room has one reserved table. It was a matter of organizing the table preparation. Considering we have a young child they could have been more flexible in allowing us to arrive later.

No tienen servició de lavanderia y no pude bañarme en los baños publicos por que tengo algun tatuaje, no queda claro hasta que llegas si permiten tattoos o no...

- Sofía (10/5): Experiencia sumamente relajante - La habitación era hermosa, y el hotel ofrecía todo tipo de amenities desde yukatas y abrigos para usar al entrar y salir del onsen hasta bebidas y helado para disfrutar después del mismo. La comida del desayuno era abundante y el personal muy amable. También hay un FamilyMart cerca para comprar comida si no se reservan los menús de desayuno y/o cena, no se sienten a gusto con la comida tradicional japonesa, o simplemente se quiere algo para picotear. Nada, fue una gran experiencia.

- Tifenn (9/5): A perfect stay, we loved the room, the food and the ambiance very much! - The private real stone onsen in the room was delightful, with big and super clean space. The food was purely amazing. We discovered a lot of Japanese fine dishes! The beds were really confortable, and the staff was really nice in every situation! The only two things that gave us some difficulties have been that the food was served all at once during the dinner. It was a little bit overwhelming for us as we weren't 100% sure in which order eating. But the quality was definitely there and the ambiance super nice! And the second thing is the location was a little farther in Hakone. I think if you have a car it is not as much as an issue, but that day the buses were late and the last cruise was at 3P.M in the winter (which is super early). It took us 2 hours between the cruise start location and the Ryokan. So my advice would be, get there by car, or, be sure to really go to Ryokan early! That will def reduce the stress to be late for the check-in.

- Carol (9/5): Rejuvenating and peaceful - The dinner spread was delicious with a variety of Japanese food entrees. I stayed for 2 nights dinner included and appreciate thst they have two different menu each night. I felt like royalty with the meal and its beautiful set up. Breakfast was grilled fish, sides with vegetable, egg, miso soup, and coffee. I loved the public onsen on-site which is separated by gender. There's one indoor onsen and one outdoor onsen - both have great quality water. Even though my room had a private onsen, the water temperature wasn't as hot as I'd like so I ended up using the public onsen more often. I'm not sure why they have paper towel dispenser set-up but a towel hanger with a towel would be more convenient and eco-friendly in the bathroom sink area. The hotel is about 40 minute bus ride from Hakone-Yumoto station. I took the bus from the station to the hotel around 2pm on a Thursday in February and the bus was packed so I had to stand the whole trip with my big weekend bag which was tiring. So keep that in mind if you'd prefer staying closer to the station.

Having your own thermal bath in the room with view over mountain is just amazing. And after u take a rest in the bath there is a 3 course michelin quality meal waitting for u and the same thing goes for breakfast. If u are looking for a place to relax and eat some amazing japennese cousine this is a place for u.

- Alyssa (7/5): - Beautiful room, with a private onsen bath. The tatami mat beds were comfortable and the space was beautiful. Pretty clean as well. You can hear other guests through the walls, even if they aren’t being particularly loud. The couch was not very clean and had traces of dirt and fluff present. I wanted to eat at the restaurant for dinner one night; knowing I had not booked with dinner included, I was fully prepared to pay on the spot. I was, however, turned away and told because I had no reservation I couldn’t sit down for dinner. Mind you, I was one person and there were plenty of free tables. The hotel should inform guests of the need for reservations or a booking that includes dinner because I ended up walking twenty minutes in pitch-darkness to find somewhere to eat. Also, check-out is at 10am, and they tell you to come earlier to beat the large crowds checking out (which didn’t exist, at least when I was there), but nowhere in town opens until 11am, so you are kind of left stranded if you’re waiting for transport or want to get something to eat in the meantime.

The hotel offered 24/7 drinks bar near every room. The western Japanese style room was very spacious. Both dinner and breakfast were traditional Japanese style. Everything was delicious and well presented. Staff were lovely! I will recommend this stay to friends and family.

Все выдают юкаты и многие в них спускаются к ужину и завтраку. И тот, и другой - выше всяких похвал. Много смен блюд, часть готовится прямо на столе. Все очень вкусное, хотя я не любитель экзотики. В номере просторно, альков с футонами, гостиная, душ, онсен, санузел. Есть чайник, чай, небольшое угощение. Место тихое. Жалеем, что провели там всего одну ночь. Надо было две! Главная фишка - в холле администрации и нашего корпуса весь день алкогольные напитки бесплатно - японские виски, саке, пиво и европейское вино Довольно долго ехали от станции. Надо хорошо продумывать логистику путешествия

The private hot spring bath in the room was small but comfortably fit two people. A convenience store is located right next to the ryokan, which is very convenient. The parking area has plenty of spaces and is free of charge. Our room was located in a separate building next to the main building. To use the public bath, we had to walk outside in the cold weather to reach the main building, although the distance was short.

- Yalena (10/5): Peaceful Ryokan Experience with Private Onsen - Susukinohara Ichinoyu Onsen in Hakone is a peaceful retreat, perfect for unwinding. Each room has a private hot spring bath, which is amazing, and the spacious tatami room added to the traditional charm. The special ryokan-style breakfast and dinner were a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Just keep in mind that public transportation in Hakone can be delayed, so plan your trips around that.
