Guest Reviews
- Carolina Maria (6/5): - “The property is beautiful, and the people working there are genuinely kind and do their best to provide good service.
However, I wouldn’t rate the experience highly. Dietary restrictions are very important nowadays, and although I shared mine two months in advance and again during check-in, they were not properly taken into account during meals.
Dinner, which is priced around $40 USD, was quite disappointing. I ordered it at 6 pm, but it wasn’t ready on time. When it finally arrived, it was not what I had requested, and it was also served cold. The team kindly removed the charge, which I appreciated, but I would have preferred to pay for a meal that was properly prepared and aligned with my needs.
There were also some basic details missing, such as having almond milk available for coffee.
Additionally, the room was quite cold, and simple comforts like hot water bottles were not provided.
Overall, while the setting and staff are lovely, the experience did not meet expectations.
- Dushmanthe (4/5): Deceptive description - Location and staff This is perhaps the best location in Pokhara with delightful staff, with a historical perspective, as it was declared open by Edmund Hillary in 1998. But the building badly requires refurbishment and a much improved cleaning regime under better management and supervision. The bathrooms especially was badly stained with soap and dirt marks in the shower area. We travel every month and for the first time we encountered a situation where a hotel that describes itself as 5 star refuses to do socks and undergarment laundry. They explained that they don't have a washing machine and the laundry is done by hand. Multiple descriptions on their web site are inaccurate and misleading. There is no "indoor Pool", no "in room safe", "Fitness centre" etc . We experienced several power cuts during day and night and was unable to use my CPAP machine and as a result and was up untill 3am. We were told they are unable to operate generator after 10pm because it disturbs the villagers.

- Rebecca (10/5): Commune with the Annapurna mountains and be treated like royalty - Truly spectacular location. Great hikes right from the lodge or a short drive away. Wonderful food. Staff took great care of us this place is truly special.
- Cecilia (10/5): Breath-taking hotel and Mountain Views!! - Best place to stay in Pokhara and surroundings !! Breath-taking views of the mountains from up there, long walks around with amazing guide , best Nepali food we’ve had so far , and best staff we’ve encountered! Helpful, kind, always smiling and always there to guide us and solve our needs. Really, best hotel in Nepal, we’ve stayed 3 nights and it was so worth it! We already miss it and hope we can come back soon!!!! Thanks a million Tiger Mountain family!!
- Gavin (9/5): Superb - It is a wonderfully beautiful and peaceful spot. The service is first class and we had a relaxing an indulgent stay. Sasan the guide was excellent. I thought it was expensive compared to other options.
- Frank (9/5): Beautiful property with amazing views and food - The team at Tiger Mountain made our stay very special. We really enjoyed the walks with Sajan; very informative and great to explore the surroundings including where he grew up. Harry did everything to really make us feel at home. The view from the room was spectacular. The food was the best we had in Nepal. We’ve stayed at 6 different locations in Nepal ranging from usd40 to usd450 and by the end, struggled to make sense of the price/quality ratio. It was really, really good, bus so was another property where we paid usd100. Another one where we paid $120 was worse than one where we paid $40.
Overall, definitely a very special stay and beautiful memory but expensive.
- Caryl (10/5): Peaceful, breathtaking and wonderful Nepali hospitality. - The staff were amazing. We were picked from Pokhara airport and taken to the lodge. The views are exceptional, breathtaking in the early morning. We enjoyed our walks with Hari and the picnics were divine. They were extremely helpful in organising our onward transportation. Nothing
- Georgina (8/5): Very good -
- Hana (10/5): Outstanding - This is a very special place in many respects: the location, the staff, the history. Nepalese beauty with a touch of class. N/A
- Aleksander (10/5): Exceptional -
