Guest Reviews
- Laura (6/5): - Apartment was fine and very big, only issue was we booked dream apartments in the city Centre, when we were checking in at 3 o’clock but hadn’t received code. When we rang office they advised we’d been moved to the quay side apartments which no one had told us about and was very out the way.
- Lesley (6/5): Bigg market apartment - Had trouble getting access to the apartment when we first arrived. But other than that we got what we paid for. Stairway a bit narrow in parts and apartment a bit worn but suited a short stay. Noisy at night due to number of pubs eyc
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Stayed 30th June and 1st July 2019. Getting access to the property was really poor - as no onsite reception. When we did eventually get the access code after about 1 hour waiting outside, we were given the wrong apartment details which someone else was in the room. They moved us quickly to another apartment but the whole customer service experience was awful.
- Alison (4/5): - Had to ring when at the entrance and was given a number to get in through the main door and then another number for apt 1. On entering apt 1 all 3 beds were used, there was food and drink left in every room - basically completely unclean. Rang them back and they gave us apt 2 which thankfully was available (otherwise God knows what would have happened). Apt 2 was spacious and seemed clean with all facilities - sona def positive. Unfortunately couldn’t get any heating to work and only had 2 small
Bath mat towels available to wash with. By now we accepted it as it wasn’t worth any more hassle. We also had to give a 200 deposit on phone which I presume I will be getting back (still waiting!)
- Verified traveler (4/5): Poor. Would not recommend having stayed twice. - Entered apartment 6, it was cold as all the windows were left open. It took over an hour for the rooms to slightly warm up, still not enough for the size of the apartment few hours later. The bed sheets were dirty, the pillow was dirty. The description says queen sized beds, it was 2 single beds together. Uncomfortable. Have stayed here previously but this was awful. Would not go back again. Also reported it to the receptionist and manager, who said she will call back the next day and hasnt.
- Ben (2/5): - We booked in to stay at the apartment in big market, central newcastle. When we arrived to this location they told us that we were booked in one on the quayside, we had proof we had booked the one in the centre and all the they said we couldnt stay there because it was full. They have over booked and tried to shift us else where. This meant we had to constantly get taxis and was a right chew on. It spoilt our weekend and we never got any money back even though we paid more for a centre apartment. Avoid at all costs.
- Jo (2/5): - It is spacious and clean but the location of these apartments in one of the noisiest streets in Newcastle means you will get very little to no sleep until around 4.30am. The flats are not secure enough and guests can bring who they like in meaning there are private parties going on all night. The flat itself needs some general maintenance and without the rather old fashioned heating units going on all day and night, it is bitterly cold. There are extremely steep steps up to the apartments making carrying your luggage up is very difficult. Sloppy housekeeping meant it was without all the amenities (bed cover, bedside light, hairdryer, knob on the oven). It is only suitable as party apartments for the under 25s.
- Daniel (8/5): A gem in Newcastle City - Apartment was amazing, very large and great value for money. Everything was to a very high standard and they included little touches like chocolates on your bed. The check in process could be improved slightly by ensuring instructions are sent from hotels.com or dream apartments but it wasn’t too much hassle to call them and figure it out on the day.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Comfortable room but lack of communication - I arrived in the around 19:30 at the given address and when I eventually found the front door, realised I did not have any check-in instructions (entry code). I called the customer service number and was put through to someone who provided the codes. Once in, I struggled to find my room so clarified my reservation. It was at this point that I was told that my booking had been moved to another location (taxi ride away) and I would have 20 minutes to arrive before they switched to the night porter. Once I got to the other location and checked in to my room, I walked in to find that the beds had been stripped with all the dirty laundry left in the room including the vacuum. Reception then had to find clean sheets and make a bed up. For the troubles, the receptionist (who was very apologetic and helpful) said the cleaners would be straight up the next day to sort out the apartment and a hamper would be provided. When I arrived back that evening, there was no hamper. The apartment itself was large and comfortable with easy access to Quayside if that's what you're after but not the location I had actually chosen for convenience to work. The kitchen is stocked with essential utensils (could do with a refresh) but the extractor fan and microwave did not work.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Newcastle Upon Tyne city stopover - Newcastle exceeded our expectations! Our apartment was ideally located for a quick stopover being very close to main excellent shops and tourist attractions including River Tyne bridges and train station. Service was excellent however roomy apartment needs a refresh. Steep stairs!
- Shashan (10/5): Great Stay - Condition of the apartment was excellent, however inside the apartment looks little too dark and would highly recommend to add more lighting. And having no lift is a minus point too when there's quite a few and floors to take.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Definitely not for families. - The property was very well situated which was great but unfortunately that meant that there were lots of people outside. We only got to sleep after 4am which was a bit of a nightmare with the kids. We were woken at 5:50am by a Greggs truck delivery across the road so all in all not the best night for us. The property had plenty of space but could have been a bit cleaner. The lady we dealt with when we checked in was great. We loved Newcastle! One of the friendliest cities that we've been to.
- James (10/5): Ideal for a midweek business trip - Ideally situated In The city centre and plenty of space
- Mandy (10/5): Dreams - Mint can't wait to stay there again 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👍🛌
- Paul (8/5): Dream apartments Newcastle-upon-Tyne - Comfortable apartments in a great location for the city centre.
- Jules (8/5): Nice place but heater is not efficient - It was probably the coldest year so far with the snow storm and we needed a place to stay overnight smdue to the train delay to Edinburgh. The apartment was clean and nice but it was freezing! The heat was off and took a few hours to get warmed up and eventually warmed up for our night’s rest.
- Carol (10/5): Excellent apartments & locations - Had the best time staying at the Dream apartments. Superb location & amenities and had no issues getting my refund returned. Only downfall was the stairs we had to climb, but it kept us fit :) defo recommend
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good if you have less or light luggage - The overall stay was good but there is no elevator in the building which has created lot of trouble for us to take luggage at second floor.
- Yiu Cho (4/5): No hot water - Most of time when we called for assistance such as no hot water for bathroom for time we needed bath after our exhausted day and when we needed a hot bath at most and we left message and called next morning then finally a repair man came at 10am but we needed to check out at 11am bad experience
