- Robin (7/5): -
- Michel (8/5): goede locatie, leuke pub.
- Donna (9/5): A wonderful stay. - I love the design as it’s an old public house and the decor. It was a great place to stay. The bed was really comfy as well. The staff were welcoming and friendly and very accommodating as I had to be booked in last minute due to my friend becoming ill so they allowed me to check in later which was a great help.
It has a wonderful feel about it. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. You could hear the traffic but that didn’t really bother me but just making others aware.
- Keith (8/5): - Staff where excellent - very attentive and brought out a small cake for my Dad's birthday as I meantioned it in passing.
The Espetadas (we had the chicken) are a sight and taste to behold - enough for 2 unless you are really hungry. it's not how I would have re-decorated an english pub, but it's taste init...
- Alexandra (10/5): Wonderful stay - Staff were lovely and so accommodating. Rooms were beautiful with comfy beds and perfectly clean. Breakfast was gorgeous and well exceeded our expectations
- Portia (8/5): -
- David (4/5): Fine. - Easy Door was only a combination lock with no internal double locking option.
Shower door was broken off
Toilet was broken and leaking across the bathroom.
Room felt cold.

- james (10/5): - A beautiful 16th century pub with so much character, set in a beautiful little village. When we arrived we were greeted by the wonderful helpful staff and shown to our lovely comfortable room. We had breakfast and dinner here and the food was delicious and good value!
Honestly couldn't fault our stay. Fabulous Leaving my phone charger haha
Absolutely nothing it was great

- Nichola (8/5): A really good find for an overnight work stay with excellent food and service - Thank you. - The cleanliness of the rooms was excellent. The evening meal was superb and the nicest meal we have had whilst away with work. The service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom doors could be improved with further security once inside the room - for example a key chain. Otherwise, everything else was excellent and we will be back.
- Chris (10/5): -
- Kate (10/5): Fabulous and thank you to all the staff who made our stay very special - The staff were exceptional and were so helpful and made us feel very welcome All great
- Nigel (7/5): Good location and great price for Heathrow flight. - Nice room in a very old listed pub, we ate downstairs and had a good meal. We only stayed one night but the bed was comfy and the staff were helpful as we needed to be away very early the following morning. Good value for money as Heathrow Hotels and parking would have been twice the price before we had even eaten! Nothing
- Dan (7/5): - Nice location. Easy to get to. Nice big car park. Id say this place is decent, not disappointing at all just solid. Pub closed at 9pm for drinks. Dont think they get loads of business.
- amanda (9/5): -
- Diana (8/5): Good value stay, welcoming host - Very friendly host, happy to help with anything.
Local Uber service was also good.
- gary (9/5): -
- Katie Paps (6/5): Friendly but not luxurious. - It was very clean and the staff were lovely & very helpful. The bathroom was lovely. The mattress on the bed was very soft. The room was directly off of the pub car park and there were no windows.
Ontbijt slechts mogelijk vanaf 10u 's morgens.
- Mina (10/5): -
- Tommi (8/5): Very good - Nice good old palace and nice pub. Rooms/bed was nice. There was no breakfest option.
- Dr. (9/5): Superb -
- Neil (10/5): Great place , great value - Hosts where very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. Great stay and bonus of a quiz night in the Wednesday night which was enjoyable. The food was amazing . Highly recommend, great value nothing
- Robert (5/5): Passable -
- Steve (9/5): Lovely room 1. Helpful staff. - Good food and pleasant service.
- Irene (9/5): Superb -
- David (6/5): Pleasant -
- Glenda (8/5): Comfortable stay, friendly experience with very helpful proprietor. - Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff who couldn't do enough to help.
Clean and tidy. Breakfast started at 10am ,which meant we had to give it a miss.
Given the historic nature of the building there was obviously no air-conditioning, so it was quite warm.
- Sarah (9/5): great easy place to stay , not fancy but clean and friendly . - great staff , super helpful and accommodated our late arrival so kindly . personal preference but the mattress was too hard for me .
It is an old coaching inn so right on the road , rooms at the back would be quieter.
- Russmayes (9/5): Will be back for business stays, good pub, good food and good beer, - Staff attentiveness was excellent. A lovely old pub that's very well kept. I had the Chicken Fajita and it was excellent, very fresh, well spiced and well presented. I should of mentioned this at the time but didn't notice until later on that a 12.5% optional service fee was added to the bill. (a) it was only my meal that was brought from the kitchen to the table, some tens of metres, hardly an extra, (b) this feels underhanded by adding it automatically and not pointing it out at the time, it left a bitter taste.
- Alan (9/5): Superb -
- Cathryn (8/5): Great value modern rooms in a friendly welcoming old country pub - The owner Daniela is fantastic and made us feel so welcome and at home - as she put it, if we need anything extra just ask! She knew we were going to Marlow for the evening and told us not to worry if we were a little later checking out as the cleaners weren't due until 12. She also upgraded our single room to give our friend a little more space.
The food at The Bell is fantastic and we have lunch there on the first day and brunch on the morning we left. The portions are big and good value. The rooms are great value - modern and very clean with little extras like a coffee machine! Its a lovely location just outside of the village centre of Wooburn which has other pubs, restaurants, shops etc. and only 15 mins drive from beautiful Marlow. Very minor things but just to make people aware. We had the garden room and it was lovely having a little deck outside but the downside was the noise from the road could be heard through the far wall though this is not the owners fault - it is an old building built alongside a main thoroughfare.
Only other slight problems was mattress was comfy but dipped in the middle so rolled into each other, and there is no shower curtain around the the beautiful slipper bath so the bathroom gets soaked when you shower. I felt bad leaving all the towels so wet where I'd dried it afterwards but the owners are lovely so i'm sure they wouldn't have minded.
- Michael (10/5): The Bell Pup - The owners went out of their way to assist myself with my bag's. The pub also has a lot of history. The staff also were always asking if I required anything else. I would stay there again if I was up that way.
- Claire (9/5): A lovely pub with lovely people in a great location. Would definitely stay again. - The staff were super friendly and helpful. Comfy beds and lovely food. Great location for a walk along the Thames and into the village. Lovely shops and cafe in the village. Nothing
- Vernon (9/5): Superb - Very friendly staff Out look from the room to the car park area was a bit scraggy
- Wendy (7/5): Still enjoyed my stay - The upgrade food & staff Needs a lot of TLC.. hangers in the room & bed moving slightly to see the tv properly decafe coffee & biscuit in the room also
- Kat (9/5): Superb -
- Matt (8/5): Very good - Lovely and warm lush accommodations All good
- Towson (4/5): Disappointing - Was ok Was told we couldn't leave the premises after 10pm doors are locked.
Was asked move vehicle all the time to make space for pub costermes to point where had sit and wait for people to leve
- David (8/5): Greatly enjoyed! - Full of character, comfortable room, excellent food, really helpful and competent staff( Not much! However room would benefit from a hanging rail of some sort; bathroom could do with some sort of shelf or perhaps stool near bath
- Claudia (10/5): Fantastic service! - Lovely
- Janet (8/5): Friendly, clean, comfortable. - Lovely people, very friendly and helpful - clean and organised. Good stonking food in the pub. We could have done with somewhere to hang clothes - just a hook or something. There wasn’t much hot water in the shower….
- Lorraine (7/5): Good - The staff Expensive
No towel holders in bathroom
Not enough milk
Tv signal didn’t work
- Jan (10/5): A warm welcome and memorably excellent customer service. - Breakfast was excellent, rooms clean and comfortable - most of all the warm, welcoming and exceptional customer service was notable and much appreciated. Nothing to dislike.
- Serena (10/5): Really great stay with amazing food and a friendly team - Lovely newly decorated room. Nice and warm. Restaurant food was superb! Daniella the host was really welcoming. Nothing
- Carolyn (8/5): Very good -
- Damien (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ben (9/5): Excellent - Great staff so welcoming.
My sea bass meal was delicious.
Room perfect for an overnight business trip, location great 5 minutes off M40 near Beaconsfield.
Highly recommended.
- Mario (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (7/5): Good -
- Marika (8/5): Very good -
- Mary (10/5): Warm, friendly - top notch - A warm welcome, great food, very comfortable - superb - will stay gain
- Linda (8/5): Very good -
- Gill (6/5): This room was not worthy of the price we paid for it - It had good car parking The room was in an annex and there were people standing outside smoking. The room itself wasn’t very warm, had no hanging space for clothing. The shower was impossible to control – it was either too hot or too cold and you couldn’t stand in it. I thought it was very bad value.
- Turner (9/5): Good Food lovely room and friendly staff - The staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough for us
- Anthony (8/5): Good. - Excellent friendly reception. More facilities to store towels and personal items.
- Stuart (9/5): Superb - Really friendly and helpful staff. The food was stunning. The room needed a little bit of tlc
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly welcome Nothing
- David (8/5): The hosts were amazing, friendly and so attentive. So nice and the food was amazing! - It was quirky being a 16th century building. The rooms could be a bit more modern in furniture and decor but we’re still nice.
- Juliet (9/5): Superb -
- Sabia (10/5): Excellent property and extremely well managed. - Fantastic location. Very cool style. 4 post bed in a beautifully created romantic room. Floating bathtub and plenty of coffee. Food in the pub 10 out of 10. Hosts especially Daniella were very accommodating and friendly. They ensured we had an exceptional stay and experience. Highly recommended. Price was very good. We will be back 🤗
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andy (9/5): Charming hosts, loved the the banter and unique charm - Good location for easy access to Wembley stadium. Staff and hospitality was excellent - there to sort out tv remote problem with no complaints, quickly sorted.
Puddings were scrummy, went out for main meal but will stay next time It was all good to excellent, warned about the low beams - it is an old pub - but didn't bash head which is a bonus. Nothing was too much trouble and coupled with a good nights sleep it was great.
- Charlotte (8/5): Grear - Loved it. Great location and staff very kind. N/a
- Will (7/5): Good - Nice old pub As you’d expect being old and on the high street, noise throughout the night. Thin windows and very hot in the room.
- Jane (6/5): I didn’t feel the room was a £120 experience -
- Pragati (7/5): Easy one night stay when visiting area - Friendly team Didn’t include breakfast in the room rate & it wasn’t made clear that breakfast was extra
- Reeve (9/5): Superb - Good location friendly helpful staff Nice room
- Ronald (9/5): Would highly recommend. - Location very convenient for us. Parking was important to us as well.
The upgrade since our last visit was excellent. Unfortunately no time for breakfast. L Everything fine.
- Malcolm (9/5): Superb -
- Chan (8/5): Comfortable, tidy and clean but the price is a bit high for the small room and no free breakfast. - Did not opt for the breakfast option. Location is too far from any town and only a few western restaurants within 15 minutes drive radius. Not suitable if not driving. Location
- Lidia (10/5): Great place to stay - Very friendly and helpful owner. Staff were very attentive
Great choice of drinks and food.
- Huw (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (10/5): Excellent - and we will be back - In every the host tried very hard to make our stay indeed enjoyable and memorable. They could not have done more for us. The room and meals were first class. We would highly recommend any others travelers to this region to consider staying here - at The Old Bell. We are from Australia but will definitely come back here next year when we are traveling in England. Every thing was done just-right
- Peter (7/5): Good -
- Janine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Timothy (7/5): Friendly and helpful staff and a relaxed atmosphere - Both the evening meal (not included) and the breakfast were excellent The water pressure in the relatively small shower was too strong for such a space
- Katarzyna (2/5): Poor facilities, service, sad - Location No place to park the car on the night, no bedside lamp, headboard falling off, no wardrobe, broken light outside the front door with complete darkness as all the lights were off, locked main door so couldn’t get out for 20min and no one was answering the phone, bathroom basin too small and no storage there, very uncomfortable mattress, there was no breakfast till 10am, a member of staff laying down on the sofas in the restaurant…
- Deryn (7/5): Warm welcome, helpful host, accommodating of our needs, thank you - A bedside lamp would be great. My bed was very soft and I rolled towards the edge. It’s an old building and the slope of the floor may contribute to this. A lovely welcoming host. My bed was too soft for me
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clare (10/5): Brilliant - Would recommend Everything lovely landlady
- Xiaohua (10/5): Beautiful memory of my first day of UK. - Very delicious breakfast and very good couple host and staff.
- Caroline (8/5): Lovely hotel, fab staff and happy to stay again - The interesting age of the property, the very comfortable bed, the gorgeous bath!
The staff were welcoming, friendly and clearly want to help in any way they can
And very clean! Difficult to find somewhere in bathroom to put toiletries as shelf small - a minor issue!
- D (9/5): Wonderful welcome and service. Super late checkout much appreciated. -
- Diana (5/5): Passable - Didn't have breakfast. Had an evening meal which was poor. Food. We expected a better choice. Very disappointed with the menu.
- Peter (9/5): The owners and staff were friendly and professional. - A lovely old Pub with lots of character, recently refurbished and supervised by the owners. Nothing
- Derek (7/5): Decent rural pub in idealic location. Didn’t eat, but there is a good variety of beers available. Room was small and the - Brilliant rural village location It’s a bit run down and needs a bit of TLC
- Hilary (8/5): Very good -
- Brian (10/5): Old Bell, Wooburn: nice pub, comfortable and well appointed room. - The room is in a traditional style pub serving a nice range of beers. Food sourced from local suppliers is also served, and the meal I had was very good value for money (and delicious).
I really liked the room, which had beams and a four poster bed. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large and bright and had an excellent bath. There was a small outside area with a table.
The owners and staff were all very helpful and easy to talk to. If anything, there is some traffic noise but there's nothing the owners could do about that and it wasn't a problem overnight, so sleep wasn't affected at all.
I had to leave early (my fault not the pub's) so I didn't get to try the breakfast
- Michael (7/5): Good for an overnight stop. - Nice staff.
Great water pressure in shower.
Evening food offering at pub restaurant.
Off street parking. Noisy plumbing.
Tiny wash basin.
Some very low beams in the corridors and landings - part of the charm of a 16th Century building!
No electric socket by the bed.
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zita (8/5): Lovely, clean and comfy ❤️ - The room was really clean and the bed comfy. That we had to ring land lady to get back in that night. We had been to a party in Marlow and came back at 3am. Felt bad we had to get her out of bed 🤦♀️
- Abbie (2/5): Would not recommend and we will not stay here again - Staff initially friendly but changed their attitude which made the stay and departure very uncomfortable. Dated, needs refurbished- paint peeling in the shower. Disgusting sewage smell in the room after flushing the toilet (toilet had a macerator) and running water in the sink. No bath mat and only 1 larger towel and 1 small towel for a double room!! Extension leads running across the middle of the room as not enough sockets but a trip hazard!
Told when we checked in that it didn’t matter what time we got back to the hotel at night but when we got back at 1am the landlord was extremely rude and aggressive! Very intimidating 🙁
- Sean (8/5): Very good - The staff were lovely, very friendly and welcoming 😊 N/A
