Poca manuntenzione in camera (doccia incrostata, per dire), un delizioso patio esterno, ma non curato, non un tavolino, ma solo lettini e nemmeno 2 per camera facendo il conto di quanti ce n’erano. Insomma, mi aspettavo di più, ma ad ogni modo lo risceglierei per l’invidiabile posizione

No me agradaron ciertas cuestiones del pueblo como el corte de luz y agua, las algas pudriéndose en la playa sin que pasen a recogerlas (en Brasil tienen servicio de la municipalidad para rastrillar la playa bien temprano) y los parlantes con música muy alta cuando es un paraíso y reservar natural. Y me parece que podrían controlar la velocidad de las motoacuáticas. Entiendo que son cuestiones del municipio.

Quizas el café del desayuno podría haber sido mejor y mas caliente, y mas cantidad se medialunas qué se agotaban rapido por ser muy buenas.

Location is great too, it is definitely worth to stay in Puerto Pirámides for a few days (instead of Puerto Madryn). We expected a bit more for the price we paid, facilities don't seem to be very well maintained.

Room comfortable. Breakfast sufficient. Loved staying right in Puerto piramides with whales often visible in the bay from the balcony. The only issue is that rooms with a co-joining door (I stayed in number 9) have a sound problem. You can hear the neighbors quite clearly but I wouldn’t let it stop me from staying there again or recommending to others.

FYI, booking.com calls the ground floor rooms “sea view” even though their view is blocked by bushes. • Claudio (1/5): Disappointing due to lack of heating, poor maintenance, water leaks - I stayed at Océano Patagonia (penthouse apartment) end of October 2025. Unfortunately, the experience was highly disappointing due to multiple issues that significantly affected our stay: • Heating problems: The apartment was very cold (down to 16°C) and the climate system didn’t work. Only small electric heaters were available, which were insufficient and unsafe for continuous use. • Water and wind leaks: During high winds, water and cold air entered through poorly sealed windows in the living room and main bedroom. • Lack of maintenance response: Despite several requests, the maintenance team never solved the issues. We were offered to move to another building late at night, but this wasn’t feasible as we were traveling with elderly relatives. We were expecting different standards taking into consideration the cost of the apartment.
• Skorokhodov (7/5): Buen lugar, siempre que no te toque una habitación en la planta baja. - En el hotel sirven un desayuno muy bueno (para los estándares argentinos). Incluso hay huevos revueltos, panceta frita, mini sándwiches, facturas, frutas, café y jugo de naranja. La ubicación del hotel es excelente: está justo frente al mar. Pero hay un detalle. Elegimos este hotel especialmente por la vista al océano, sin embargo, por un descuido del personal nos asignaron una habitación en la planta baja, donde la vista al mar está totalmente tapada por unos arbustos enormes y sin podar. Tuvimos que “pelear un poco” con la recepción para demostrar que la habitación no coincidía con lo que habíamos reservado. Finalmente, el representante del hotel reconoció que la habitación no correspondía a la reserva, pero no pudieron cambiarnos porque no había disponibilidad en esa fecha. De todos modos, nos ofrecieron un buen descuento (unos 75 USD) en el hotel Rayentray Grand, adonde íbamos al día siguiente. En general, quedamos conformes con la solución del administrador. Se nota que el personal escucha y hace lo posible por resolver los problemas. También al principio no nos gustó el estado de la ropa de cama: estaba limpia, pero tenía algunas manchas que no salieron con el lavado. A la primera solicitud, la cambiaron por una nueva sin problemas. Si tuviera que mencionar los puntos negativos, serían los siguientes: En la planta baja no hay vista al mar debido a los arbustos altos y sin podar. La calidad de la ropa de cama no es la mejor (depende un poco de la suerte). Y en el patio viven varios gatos que constantemente intentan meterse en la habitación.

El hotel depende del hotel rayentray de al lado, check in, desayuno son en otro edificio. La aislación entre habitaciones es deficiente y se escuchaban todas las corridas en los cielorrasos. Poca consideraciòn para un late check out. No funcionaba el medio de pago que tenia disponible y tuve que pagar con otra tarjeta.
• Josef (9/5): Aufwachen mit den Killerwalen - Das helle Zimmer ist nicht mehr neu aber gemütlich eingerichtet mit grossem und bequemen Bett. Die Aussicht aus dem Zimmer und der direkte Zugang zu Strand sind aussergewöhnlich. Man sieht die Wale im Meer schwimmen aus dem Zimmer. Der TV lief gut. Das Bad sollte renoviert werden, aber die Dusche war stark, warm und angenehm. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist herzlich vorbereitet, aber nicht besonders fein. Die Aussicht auf das Meer und die herumturnenden Walen macht alles Wett. Freundlichkeit, Sauberkeit und tolle Aussicht waren jederzeit gegeben. Was will man mehr! Kaffee trinken kann man auch anderswo. Wir hatten einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt und würden dieses Hotel wieder buchen.

• Sara Barker (4/5): Disappointing experience with basic amenities not met - The room itself, we had the deluxe apartment with the rooftop, is beautiful, spacious, well appointed with a great view. The staff are friendly. We had a warm shower once in the three days we were there. On our departure date we didn’t even have electricity! The staff are nice, gave us a free drink, and tried to help but there is only so much they could do. This is an issue with management charging high prices knowing full well that there are maintenance issues with the hotel, which has recently been acquired. For reference we stayed at Puerto Palos which is next door, for 30% of the price and had a hot shower and a comfortable room. Wish we had saved our money and stayed there to be honest. Our main gripe was (justifiably, given the price) was the lack of hot water in our room, but there were other issues such as the wifi didn’t work the whole time we were there. The breakfast is not good, there is no variety, they run out of eggs and bacon and takes ages to replace it, even at peak breakfast times. The coffee is terrible. We really wanted to like this hotel and we were looking forward to it as it was the most expensive hotel in our month in Argentina and we are so disappointed!

• Julián María (8/5): Cómodo pero... - La ubicación obviamente es fantástica: Estar a metros de la playa es increíble aunque la ciudad es pequeña y cualquier distancia es insignificante. El mini departamento es espacioso y luminoso. El personal increíble. Uno puede optar por desayunar en los otros dos hoteles de la cadena a metros del departamento. Si bien el grupo Rayentray se ha hecho cargo recientemente del hotel, aún hace falta que le pongan especial atención a servicios mínimos: Wifi muchos problemas para conectarse, detalles mínimos edilicios que se deben corregir / mejorar, problema con una cerradura. Si bien son detalles mínimos pero que a la hora de relacionar precio vs calidad importan.

• Carl (4/5): - The toilets in all rooms constantly ran out of water to flush them. We had to get after the front desk many times to get water in the toilets so we could flush them. This hotel is extremely overpriced considering how bad a shape it is in and the lack of maintenance. We will never stay there again.

• Guilherme (7/5): Ok, but... - Location in superb, amazing view, very comfortable room, friendly staff! During our 3 nights, not a single hot shower. Staff was always saying they would fix it, but never did. Also, they turned off the water pumps at night, so we couldn't flush our toilet from 23h to 7h, for some reason no one explained. The garage and the front yard, facing the ocean, were not well kept, a bit dirty and messy. It is a good place to stay, but not for the price being charged.

Front desk wasn’t willing to switch on the generator, as they‘d need to check with their manager (who seemed to be overseas at that time) and they only brought the generator up and running after 3+ hours of constant complaining. No water, no toilets, no wifi, no chance to prepare breakfast. The team isn’t empowered to decide anything and lacks basic skills of complaint resolution, even with the solution being simple and obvious: No power = switch on generator

• Steve (6/5): Had a great stay as the location is fantastic but the apartment, whilst large, is average. - Fantastic location overlooking the beach. View of the bay is fantastic and is close to the centre of the town (small) so easy walk to local restaurants etc. Beds were comfortable Both the toilets ceased to function during our stay (thankfully not at the same time) Water pressure in the shower is dreadful Hot water temperature is luke warm at best Furniture and decoration is of a poor standard (paint peeling, uncomfortable sofa, no curtains or black out blinds in bedrooms, holes in doors, no hanging space for clothes or towels etc)
• Jerome (6/5): - Location was excellent, sea view and direct view on whales passing by. Price/quality out of balance for the location. The village itself doesn't offer a lot, restaurants of an at best ok-ish level.
• D. (8/5): - We had a room on the ground floor and we were happy to have a terrace and access to the beach. The room is very nice. Nice furniture, good bed, good shower. Kitchen furniture is very basic. However there is nothing foreseen to take usage of the terrace (chairs, table), the area near the terrace is not well maintained. This is a pity because it could be a very nice place. The breakfast is very basic and repetitive. No yoghurt, no fruit ... same cheese and ham each day. You have to take care of your breakfast and of your bed by your own. This was not a problem for us but quite surprising for an hotel of this price. Anyway we had a good stay but not sure we would go back.
• mikesT3581BG (4/5): Over priced one star hotel - They really had some slick advertising. It's old, not well kept, "free breakfast" that you have to make yourself in your room, nasty shower, secure parking for one or two cars at best and way over priced. We've stayed in very nice hotels in Argentina but this was not one of them.
• Tsee (10/5): The most amazing place to stay in the region - So many friendly staff, best location ever, basic but everything you need. If this is rustic, you've always lived in real luxury. Windows have no shades, it's amazing. Tip: I think the produce truck comes once a week, maybe on Mondays until 21:00. Good source of fruits & vegetables. Honey it's only US$7/kg. The provided breakfast is simple but served for you to make at your own time. The bread smelled divine even after hours in the car as we toured the peninsula. Try different wifi. Splurge for upper floor. The steps to the front of the building :)

• Rudi (4/5): Disappointing - The location is great The hotel is partly in bad condition and the personnel not helpful. In our case first the electricity fell out (not a general power failure but the hotel‘s own system). Second, the roller blind in our room could not be lifted so we were in the dark and could not access the balcony. Although they promised to repair it, they didn‘t. The issue could have been easily solved by giving us the identical empty room next door, but they didn‘t. New staff and a makeover and it could be a great place
• Eitan (9/5): Superb - The breakfast provided to the room is a great plus, especially off season when most places in town are closed. The location on the beach is wonderful. Communication before we arrived could have been more clear, but it might be just a language/culture barrier.

Shade broken.Breakfast meager, deposited in the refrigerator the night before (except fresh bread in the morning). Self prepared. Jam, which one would consider as part of breakfast and right next to the other breakfast items turns out to be an extra charge of about US$4.60. This you only find out if you read the mini bar menu. Otherwise at check-out. It's a hidden charge as most guests would think this is an included breakfast item as well.. We think it's outrageous, petty and deceptive especially for a room that cost us over $200/night (polo match in town) The photos on Bookings are deceptive as well. See photos and compare our room room photo with photos on Bookings. Bathroom dirty.
• Peter (9/5): Lovely situation and relaxed stay - Gorgeous views out over the bay and great location just on the beach. Responsive staff who quickly sorted out an issue we had in the bathroom. Breakfast provided in the room which we could eat looking at the view from our balcony! Air con dripped but it wasn’t a major issue
• Cressida (6/5): Grossly overpriced but great location - Great location overlooking beach. Nice , well furnished apartment. Friendly staff - who tried to help as much as possible with all our issues. It was nice but not $600 a night nice. There was a tepid drizzle from the shower - never hot and no pressure. Breakfast was a small loaf of bread between 4 of us with ham, cheese & eggs. No fruit. Had to pay if used the jam. The tap fittings were wobbly and a lot of mildew in the shower. Toilet flush broke too. Our bedroom door handle was about to fall off, and to lock the door onto the balcony you had to stand on a chair and slide a bolt as the door lock was broken. No hair dryer - had to go and ask for one at reception. There are also frequent power cuts - not the hotel’s fault but on the first day it was all day & the hotels generator kept on going off. All a bit tired. Need to up their game or halve their prices.
• Steve (9/5): Worth a stop over - This place worked well even though the room was small. Check in was fine (gal working there was great), It was quiet. Comfy sleep. Underground parking was good. Breakfast left at the door was cool and tasty. Room needed to be a little bigger. Other than that everything was good.
• Michael (6/5): - If you think of this as a basic beach hotel with few amenities you will be happy. Access to the beach is great
• Danielle (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely helpful staff and view was beautiful
