- Robert (3/5): Better lodging elsewhere in the neighborhood. - Proximity to destination Booked a higher end room and paid accordingly. Upon arrival, room had not been cleaned as evidenced by unmade beds and rose petals all over the beds and floor. Staff switched us to a different room that was much smaller and the air conditioner was inoperable for our entire stay. The room was hot enough that we had to leave the door propped open to try to get some cooler air. Desk staff failed to provide enough towels etc, and we had to ask several times to get a couple more towels and wash cloths. Understandably, no hotel does everything perfect but this hotel is poorly managed. We will find other lodging next time we are in the area. My biggest frustration is that we paid for a bigger room with more amenities, but we got downgraded it an economy room with no attempt to give us a different room of the same class we paid for.

- Spiro (8/5): We loved it with the exception of the air condition. - Good location next to sea and city center. Spacious room, excellent bathroom, beautifully decorated. Very comfortable queen beds. At the time the central air was out. We got a room with a portable unit in the room. Noisy.

- Katarzyna (8/5): Nice place for a short stay, but parking is inconvenient. - Upon arrival, we were informed that the AC was not working, but we were given the option to cancel our reservation without any issues. We were also provided with a fan for the duration of our stay. Breakfast is à la carte rather than a buffet. The breakfast table was quite sticky. Parking is handled by a valet, and the property does not have a convenient space to pull in or out. Upon arrival, there was no place to stop even briefly to hand over the car to the valet, which I found inconvenient. In fact, I ended up using Uber, as it was faster than retrieving the car.

No sleep the whole week.. the hotel offered refund for the inconvenience but still struggling to get the refund after a month with back and forth through booking.com..
- Lucky (8/5): Great service and attentive staff made up for the limited parking options. - Staff on site were consistently friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, they made a point to greet us every time we passed by, which really added a personal touch. When we checked into our original room and discovered the AC wasn’t working, the team handled it immediately without any hassle. They quickly moved us to a different room and made sure everything was comfortable for us. What stood out most was how attentive and proactive the staff were—they truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. Their professionalism and genuine hospitality made a noticeable difference in our stay. Overall, my experience was good, but the parking situation was a bit inconvenient. There’s no self-parking available on site—valet is the only option, and the rest of the parking is limited to the street. That can be a downside if you prefer having direct access to your vehicle or want to avoid relying on valet. That said, the valet staff were excellent. They were very attentive with my car, handled it with care, and always brought it up quickly whenever I requested it. I also appreciated that they were able to accommodate my modified car without any issues, which isn’t always a given. Their professionalism definitely helped make up for the limited parking options.

- Lena (8/5): Schönes Hotel für einen entspannten Aufenthalt in San Diego - Sehr stilvoll eingerichtet in ruhiger, sauberer Lage und dennoch nah am Zentrum. Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles sehr sauber, schöner Garten und schöne Terrasse mit Blick auf den Hafen im 3. OG. Frühstück nur a la carte, es kann kein Buffet gebucht werden.

- janessa (6/5): Decent - It was pretty and staff were friendly We parked our car in the valet area because no valet came out, the kitchen staff never came out to greet us after about 10 minutes so I reached behind the counter to get my own menu, the kitchen card machines went down for like two days and they didn’t have change, our room was so hot and stuffy the whole stay, at least they provided fans and ac once we requested it, my mom said underneath the nightstands were dirty.

- MINDY (1/5): Don’t expect to get what you paid for - Good location Staff was pretty rude. Not very accommodating. I had specifically booked for a king size bed and got two queens. When I asked about it, they said they’re fully booked “for that level” and I’d need to upgrade to get what I specifically booked for. Oh and it’s valet only and it’s $37/night. They Nickle and dime you.

I am not sure what a person would do in a situation like this We booked 2 rooms with breakfast but twice they had no breakfast to serve no Chef to cook and our rooms didnt get serviced they had no one to clean the rooms and you have to go to reception to get new towels it seems the staff were on strike. On top of that they make you pay for parking all the hotels around us had parking So yes worse hotel we stayed at

- Professor Bowers (8/5): - I really loved the decor of the place. It has a very thoughtful and intentional style to it. It was very pleasing to the eye. The beds were incredibly comfortable. It was a really great location as well. The only thing that I didn't like was the thermostat was a little confusing. no matter how high I turned the temperature, the room regulated at 71° and coming from Chicago that was a little cool for me during the day but it worked out at night. I didn't complain about it and give them a chance to fix it so I don't know if that's fair or not but that was the only thing I could think of.
- Lamonique (5/5): Overall, not the worth paying full price imo - The property is nice, esp the courtyard & the balconies overlooking the courtyard. The bar was great & the breakfast was good as well. There’s a lot of restaurants nearby also. The water in the bathroom sink smelled really bad. I also highly recommend checking your bill. I’ve had to call many times to rectify my bill & have them honor the price from booking.com. It was about $100 more charged to my card, so be careful with that upon check in/check out. I have never had this issue using booking.com.

The bathroom fan ran continuously-no shut off. Brought earplugs, essentially mitigated that. Parking was $37 a night, caught me by surprise.

- JeniferandEric (4/5): - The room defintely was not clean and everything on the bedding had down in it. The hotel was extremely understaffed and therefore the bartender who was also a waitress in restaurant was also the valet Parker so expect to wait a very long time for food and your car.

The room that we stayed in the first night, the air conditioning was broken. It was really stuffy in the room. The following day we were moved to another room, but it wasn’t the one with the balcony. It was better than the first one since at least we had a working a/c. It was very disappointing. I was really looking forward to this stay. They offered to waive the valet, which was accepted. The staff in the front office were very nice. The valet attendant was also very nice and pleasant. I guess the problem is in management. It’s a shame because the hotel has a lot of potential. The rooms were a bit small although nice and modern. We stayed in another Tapestry Collection in Tucscon, Az right before this stay. It is called The Eddy. That one was outstanding! It’s so much better than The Monsaraz. I don’t think we’ll be staying here again in the future. There are so many other options available.

- Kassandra (2/5): - The only reason this place is getting a star at all is because of Arianna/Adrianna at the front desk. she’s the only competent person here. Sandra, on the other hand, was flat-out rude and completely useless. Our sheets were filthy when we arrived, and she couldn’t even manage to order clean ones. When I asked for an extra towel, she brushed me off with a “well, I placed the order” and left me waiting for hours. I finally had to get the valet boy to grab one because Sandra clearly has no business working in guest services. Check the photos of the bed. We packed up and left a whole day early to stay at the Bay Club instead. Do yourself a favor and avoid this Hilton at all costs. Run, and run fast. Do you want me to push it even harsh

The beds were comfortable, and the room was also very comfortable. The decorative tiles and other interior designs were lovely.

After waking up with headaches 2 mornings in a row, we asked again about the smell and finally spoke to a manager and got room switched. That room the air was not working . We told them about that and they said half the building’s air was out (returned sometime in the middle of the night).
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very poor experience - Was locked out of my room for about six hours until almost 11 PM. The door mechanism failed and reprogramming. It did not work. Staff finally used a long rod under the door to unlock it. Seems a bit silly that I was not able to use my room for nearly 6 hours while they tried to figure out what to do. No offer of another room to use or offset in cost. Not what I think of when I think Hilton.

There were cracks in the ceiling, and the smart TV was not a smart TV and had just basic cable. For the price, wouldn’t go back.

- Adel (2/5): - We checked in on Sunday June 22,2025. Sandra, the hotel manger was kind enough to let us switch rooms to 246 which had a nice view. But she told us it would be ready in 30 minutes. we actually waited 90 minutes which was after 5pm. When we got to the room, the AC would not come on. I called her to see if there was a trick to getting th AC to work and she informed me that maintenance was resetting the AC and to just open the balcony door. That cooled off the room a bit but than we had to deal with all the flying bugs in the room. The next day, no AC. I mentioned the issue again to Sandra as we got our car from the valet that was costing $37 a day. Next day Tuesday again still no AC and nothing from Sandra, I again mentioned it to another employee working the front in desk. She said she would check into it but we heard nothing from anyone at the hotel. By Wednesday we realized that no one really cared and we just have to live with an open balcony door and flying bugs to keep the room somewhat tolerable. The carpet had stains. The room was not very clean. The pool area is small and full bird droppings. The pool furniture was old and something you would expect at a motel 6. The in room products were Nest brand but we noticed that the cleaning carts head cheap products that they refilled the Nest with. When we checked out, a different employee was working and was sympathetic to what we experienced. She was gracious enough to waive the valet fees. I would never stay there again.
