• Brian (10/5): A Incredible authentic onsen Japanese inn near Nagano, with considerate staff and delcious cuisine. - The location was wonderful, a small Onsen town out of the way. They picked us up form the station. The staff was kind, considerate, and helpful. They did everything they could to make our stay as wonderful as possible. Cuisine and dining was incredible and refined. Loved the in house Onsen facilities, they were very relaxing. Definitely would recommend for anyone wanting an authentic Ryokan experience in Japan.

• John (10/5): Beautiful. - The traditional Japanese bath was great, and the room was very comfortable. The staff was nice & helpful, it's in a great quiet area with nice restaurants. There was nothing negative to report really.
• Valerie (9/5): Exceptional service in a traditional and historied setting. - The hotel was one of the highlights of our trip. It was conveniently located next to a family mart and had a lovely indoor and outdoor onsen which was supplied from a natural spring. It was generally quite empty and quiet when we went, making the atmosphere quite relaxing. The staff were incredibly attentive and hospitable, especially the host and owner of the property who greeted us at the door and even walked us to a nearby restaurant when we sought a dinner recommendation. The room we got, which was a family suite, was spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. The traditional breakfast we had was fantastic and very filling. The facilities are a little bit dated but this is not a problem, everything was kept in good order.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Too much money for what you get - Not worth it. Way over priced! We stayed one night. Staff are very nice. But the place is of a by gone era. It’s old but not in a charming way. Showers in the onsen are cold and you have to wait for many minutes in order for hot water to come out. The rooms and elevators are old. the outdoor hotspring is on the top floor with no facilities (you have to go downstairs first and shower) and no real view to speak of. The location is on the main drag which is nice. But it should be 1/2 the cost and even then I’d reconsider for other places.
• Michael (10/5): Exceptional - The outside onsen was very nice in the morning and evening and complemented the downstairs onsen. It's a real onsen. The staff and owner excel at hospitality and going the extra mile to help you provide advice and give the traditional welcome, which is often missing from the more modern mass market onsens. We were served food in a private room, and the dinner and breakfast were exceptional.

• Jose (9/5): Superb - Very good hotel with excellent staff and good facilities. The family room was spacious, a luxury in Japan, and very clean. The onsen within the hotel was very good, particularly the outdoor onsen located on the last floor of the building, with views to the mountains. We chose the package including dinner and it was very much worth it, with a very large private room just for us. Nothing to note
• Inês (10/5): Comfortable, relaxing stay with everything we needed, amazing japanese food, and helpful staff. - Amazing dinner and breakfast. We had a private room for eating. The room was also very comfortable. We had everything we needed there, including hygiene products and clothes (yukata, socks). There was an indoor and exterior onsen, which were very clean and relaxing. The staff was very helpful and we were offered a ride to Togura Station after our stay. It is a bit expensive but worth it, I would like to return. I wish the chopsticks during the meals were wooden, instead of the ones that you throw away after. Also, we had to pay extra for drinks during our meal, maybe it would be nice if every guest had one drink for free.
