Madison (4/5): It was a stay, but not like it used to be. - I have been coming every year. I love this place but this year it was not it. There is no extra secure lock which makes it hard for toddlers to stay in the room. The beds were awful!

Mark (5/5): Won't stay again - 30 dollars more than everyone else. Pay for breakfast they have no breakfast (granola bars.) Rooms are in various states of repair all unfinished. Hot tub was broken as well
JANE (8/5): - Older resort across from lake. Room was redone with slat wood floors- nice. Bed comfy. Bathroom small. Pool and hot tub area clean and nice. Hot tub was nice pool water cool. Had big overhead doors that were opened so some bugs in water but you could tell they kept on top of it. Dory at front desk very nice! Continental breakfast enough-cereal, pastries, toast etc. yogurt and hard boiled eggs, juice. Nice outside area to sit. Sits above highway but not noisy. About 6 miles outside Mountain Home. Old Mill Tavern towards town has excellent pizza and great staff!

Where the problem is, the stairwells are all filthy. The tile in the hot tub couldn’t be nastier/dirtier. The side walk in front of the rooms is disgustingly dirty. It never changes from year to year.

Jordan (10/5): Lake Norfork Resort is our little piece of heaven! - This the second time my wife and I and our 2 young children have stayed here and the manager and staff are seriously the friendliest people ever! I have not come across one staff member that isn’t super friendly and helpful. The whole atmosphere of the resort hotel is really great. They have an indoor pool, hot tub and sauna with a nice lounging area. The resort hotel is lakeside so you can see the beautiful Norfork Lake from a lot of the rooms and from the hot tub. The prices are so reasonable and you also get a pretty decent free continental breakfast. But most of all the manger is just a great person and it reflects on all the staff there too because they are all just so great. Every time we come to the area we will be staying here. It’s our little piece of heaven. I have no complaints

Randy (1/5): Let's just say, I'll never stay there again. - The view of the lake. And the pool and hot tub. No vending machines, found a roach in the bath tub. Slow internet. No table and chairs in the room. Continental breakfast consisted of pastries and cereal.
Verified traveler (6/5): Disappointing - Our room was right outside the entrance gate to the pool. Constantly people were running up and down the hallway till 11pm. The hotel has no elevator and their continental breakfast was nothing to brag about. The evening attendant was very friendly and very helpful. Great View but that was it.

The next day I went to get towels and they were larger. The bed was uncomfortable-one side leaned so you felt you were going to fall off. We will not stay there again. They recomended a 24 hour gas station in Mountain Home.

Verified traveler (8/5): Amazing View - We enjoyed our stay at Lake Norfork Resort. The hotel is a little dated but overall clean and comfortable. The balcony view of the lake was absolutely gorgeous and made the trip special. We had a small issue with our key card at first, but the manager handled it quickly and cheerfully, which we really appreciated. The bed was comfortable, and having a fridge in the room was a nice bonus. The pool area could be a bit noisy at times, but the peaceful lake view more than made up for it. We’d definitely come back for the scenery and the friendly service.

Anna (1/5): Never stay here! - The view over the lake. The rooms were very old, very dirty, dust, cobwebs with dead spiders, and bugs everywhere. The beds were old, lumpy, and uncomfortable to sleep in. The first room they gave me was disgusting, and a whole ceiling tile was missing over the shower. The door lock did not work, and the air conditioner was not on , knowing guest were checking in, it was 98 degrees outside and very hot in the room. I refused to stay in the room and got moved to another room. The only difference was that the air conditioner worked and it had no holes in the ceiling. There were no chairs or tables in the room, so if I ate anything in the room, I had to stand up or sit on the bed. Other guests were having issues as well. Several came in complaining while I was trying to get checked in. It was a holiday weekend, and all other places were booked up. The luxurious hot tub they advertised only had cold water. The pool water is cloudy. It is definitely not the "resort" they advertise. Maybe in the 70's and 80's it was probably top-notch, but not now. It appears that they have tried to renovate, but with a very minimal attempt. We call that putting lipstick on a pig. I left with 5 days left reserved. I was told by the evening manager that I would have no problem getting my refund. 2 weeks later, I have not received it yet. Booking.com says the resort made the charge they make the refund. The resort says booking.com has to approve the refund. I sent pictures of all the issues, and they said it is approved, but no refund. When you book these reservations, it takes 2 seconds for them to charge your card, and that is all it takes for a refund as well!! This resort knows what they are doing, taking advantage of people. If you don't stay then they get your money regardless and they don't have to pay for staff to do tge cleaning and service etc. You're paying for them to have empty rooms! Booking.com is representing them even with all the negative reviews.

Also, a nice continental breakfast and we loved the location across from the Marina where we rented a boat. It was was awesome :-). The only problem we had was that the room was very damp and the floor a bit slippery because of that. Otherwise, we loved it.

The room had no table, no chair, no desk.. nothing but a bed and a dresser. Microwave and a half working mini fridge. Not the room. I thought I was getting. It also sent bed bugs home with us. BEWARE OF BED BUGS HERE.
Amy (8/5): Friendly staff. Clean rooms. - Location Nowhere to hang clothes, no closets. No luggage stands so we had to use the table. The beds weren’t made daily. Our “pool view” room was actually under the stairs at the farthest point from the pool. Toiletries provided were pretty low quality.

I’m a volunteer chaplain for the North Central unit and my wife, kids and I need to come to the area a couple times a month. Finding an affordable place to stay that has great facilities and an indoor pool is a God send.

Lynn (1/5): Terrible - Arrived on March 27, 2025 we stayed for 2 nights. My husband had to go get a broom and sweep the floor was filthy with sand and dirt all over the floor. Front desk never offered to send housekeeping to clean it up. Fell in the tub no anti slip strips in the bath tub. Also website had restaurant and bar and the place didn't have either. We would not have stayed here if knowing that. When checking out around 8:00 brought up all these things to the front staff older lady and she ended up yelling at me when I told her about my complaints. Said she'd heard it all before and lots of folks had a good experience. I said I read some reviews where folks said the place didn't have water for 2 days and they didn't offer any reimbursment and she was offended and said that they did offer reimbursements and people turned them down. Just a really bad experience I don't think I have ever experienced anything like it as we do travel all the time. Would never go back there. I will say that they had a nice heated pool and hot tub.

Heard phone ringing in locked lobby while waiting over 45 minutes in the dark before giving up. Fell tripping on crumpled parking lot. My friend tripped on narrow steps leading outside to parking lot due to (no lights on at night inside public use area or outside building) No info in room or public areas to find anything including ICE, FIRE EXTINGUISHERS, etc.. No phone in room for emergency, lobby supposed to be open 24 hrs WITH staffing. Zero staff because 1 left and next shift never showed. Would have had to use cellphones to call 911 if anything happened in room. Expressed concerns to management. She agreed wasn’t good. That’s it. She left before her replacement showed to work. Only snacks or drink vending INSIDE locked lobby. Had diabetic episode. Had to find a store to get juice. Nothing close was open at 11:00 pm. With no information in room, didn’t know where to look. Web page didn’t give enough local info to even find a store. No elevators. And stairs didn’t access entire floors. It was a maze in the dark to finally find THE ONLY ICE MACHINE. My friend and I stayed there for a night to relax away from kids. It was extremely stressful. The manager was very nice. But after she left without insuring staff was on site. Things got scary. Room was ok. Not really comfortable or warming. Was more like a hospital room for 2. TV static on every station. WiFi spotty. Not again!

Angelika (10/5): A beautiful restful place - It’s a very spacious place with a sauna hot tub and a pool Located right across the lake the view is pleasant and one can sit outside where a little area invites guests to sit at tables and enjoy looking at the lake The indoor pool was too cold Saturday was “party day” 2 groups from 2 pm until late had reserved the area underneath my room and it rather noisy!

Eileen (4/5): - The hotel only had a few guest, however, they decided to put us next door to each other and you could hear neighbors yelling late into the night and water constantly running. Also, the floors turned our socks black. The grounds needed trash picked up. The water was turned off to the hotel for over 5 hours. When we arrived there were no lights on for parking lot, in foyer/hall to room or the outside entrance to rooms…we had to use our phone flashlights to navigate. We waited over 20 minutes for someone to come and check us out upon leaving….after 10 minutes of waiting we called the hotel from lobby, after another 10 minutes we called the hotel again, then about 5 minutes after that the person we contacted on the phone finally arrived. We will never stay again

Meghan (8/5): - I had some issues with a staff member during my stay, but the resort addressed the issue ASAP. I would give it 5/5 stars. Rooms were clean, pool was nice, and breakfast was good. Hoping to stay here again in the future.

Sara (8/5): - The hot tub was closed and the indoor pool was ice cold. Also we wanted to stay another night and that consisted of four trips to the lobby to make it happen and it wasn't the original price they quoted. They kept saying it was because of Expedia and then it was another reason ..then they gave us a discount because we upgraded the room due to the fact that I thought I booked an accessible room..so I had to go up in price and yada yada. But room was nice. Don't think they should advertise a pool in jacuzzi if one is too cold to get into and the other is broken

Suzanne (8/5): Good option if traveling with kiddos. - Very friendly staff. There is an indoor pool which was a huge hit with a couple of families who had kids. Breakfast was limited and there was no microwave available for oatmeal that was offered (in individual packets). We had to take our food back to the room because there was limited seating where breakfast was served. The only negative was that after an afternoon of going barefoot in the room, my feet had to be washed before I could put them in the bed.

Verified traveler (6/5): - This looks like it was a lovely property at one time but it’s seriously neglected. Paint chipping off in the bathroom, the area to sit and look at the lake was filthy, the trash bin overflowing. Cobwebs….squeaky bed frame, breakfast was missing anything fresh like fruit, or milk/cereal.

Laura (6/5): - Staff was not very courteous @ desk when trying to check in. Room service did not come and clean or replace linens and we had to go to desk to ask for linens.
Meghan (8/5): - The room was nice and the pool was clean. The floors in the room desperately needed to be mopped. But aside from that, were very clean. Bed was firmer than I like but the mattress and sheets were clean. The lady who checked us in was nice. But at breakfast a staff member treated me like a child and then touched my food with bare, unwashed hands unprovoked.

Michael (8/5): - The Norfork Resort was a great weekend getaway for us. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room could have used a comfortably chair to sit in .
Kathy (10/5): - The resort is on a hill overlooking the Lake. Beds were very comfy, room was huge, very clean,& easy to walk room. Wish there had been a chair & table in room. Their only ice machines was out of order which was inconvenient. Front desk check in person was very nice & welcoming.
