- Þórey (10/5): Excellent stay, clean and cozy. Will stay again! - Excellent and easy access to the guesthouse. Clean halls and sitting area and clean toilets and showers. The room was better then expected, very comfortable, cosy and clean. Nothing
- Pierre (8/5): Nice night in nice place - Simple & clean. Quiet during the night perfect for a nice sleep The room was a bit small

The Hostel was very clean and comfortable, I would definitely stay again

- BartoszPabjan (10/5): - It was very good at this price. I am not sure why so many people complain when they are choosing the cheapest hostel. For me it was great.

- Alissa (10/5): Perfect - Lækur Hostel was perfectly what we needed for our stay. Everything was tip top clean, kitchen was fully equipped and with so many instructions that ensured guests kept it clean and comfortable to use for everyone. The owner was great, very friendly and made us feel extremely welcome. We had a great time, thank you<3 Nothing.
- Mohammad Shahid (5/5): -
- Tina (7/5): We enjoyed our stay. - Friendly and it was close to town. No air conditioning
- Octavia (10/5): - Situated in a quiet neighborhood, this guesthouse has ample parking and a very nice cafe with a full lunch and dinner menu, bar and fresh made bakery items as well. The shower/sink /toilet areas were clean, bedding was very comfortable. The building, public lounges and rooms all felt safe. There are plenty of lockers to lock up extra belongings and a few outdoor spaces to enjoy some fresh air and conversation.
- Aiva (5/5): Could be worth it on different occasion than mine. - Quiet, easy accessable location, the shared amenities were good. Clear communication from the host. Room was way too expensive, I understand the high demand weekend, but still. I had a bedroom on the sunny side and, way too hot, only can open a very small window, so there was no air. I barely could sleep. The rest of the guest house was nice and clean. But to pay such money for a tiny packed bedroom with no air was a disappointment.
- eric (3/5): - Rapport qualité prix désastreux Un problème
- Marlon (8/5): - Super close to downtown Reykjavík
- Jarrett (9/5): Superb -
- Shubham (8/5): Very good -
- Eleanor (7/5): Good - A clean and pleasant stay, plenty of on street parking available. Good kitchen facilities Room was smaller than it looked on the picture - not a huge problem but a bit of a squeeze with two suitcases
- Rebekka (3/5): Nice area, dirty bathroms - Nice location, with possibility for parking The bathrom area was dirty and not enough toilet paper on all of the 6 toilets.. The kitchen also smelled bad.
- Jelena (6/5): Pleasant -
- Samuel (9/5): Superb -
- Troncoso (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pereira (3/5): Didn't feel safe - The room had bunk beds and was clean and warm. The bathroom had multiple showers and toilets, making it convenient during busy hours. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed for cooking. The location was good. The bathroom was not clean. Accessibility was poor, with full parking, no direct access to the entrance, and stairs. Noise was a major problem, with disturbances even after 23:00. Around midnight, a girl knocked on our door, scared of her male roommates, which made us very uncomfortable too. Plus, the room had a digital code instead of a key and couldn’t be locked from the inside, making us feel unsafe.
- Ryan (10/5): - very nice and quiet just outside the downtown. bit of a walk to the busy downtown area of Reykjavik, but if you don't mind that then its worth saving for a less crowded and easy going area. Plus side it was closer to larger stores you may want supplies from (big grocery/costco/etc) and it was easier to hit the road to drive out to tour different sites. Parking was free if you can find it, but there was a fair bit of street parking so we didn't have issues. Kids loved it, would definitely go back
- Lezanne (10/5): Perfect cozy, homey accommodation in Reykjavik! - I loved how quiet it was, and it was easy to navigate to the center of Reykjavik from there. It’s also close to local super markets for groceries, with a very njce restaurant at the bottom, (that we enjoyed thoroughly)…and that pastry shop, oh my gosh, that was nice!! We also made some good friends there! Carlos made sure we were happy all the time, so thank you so very much!! It was always near and clean. Always loved coming back from our adventures out and about, to our warm snuggly beautiful accommodation! I don’t think there was anything we didn’t like!
- Trystandafydd (8/5): Nice enough. Slightly out of town, but good bus routes nearby. Nice bar/restaurant connected. -
- Caitlin (9/5): Lovely good priced room. - Comfortable bed close to shop and bus stop.
We had amazing food in the cafe downstairs. Vegan friendly and nice staff.
Easy check in just follow the test instructions.
Has everything available if you want to cook. Bit out the way but not a big deal just get the bus it’s cheap.
- Don (7/5): Above average - Quiet Location and room size
- Douglas (10/5): - Great!
- Ricardo (8/5): Very good -
- Marie (10/5): - Great homely feel!
- Stephen (8/5): - Unfortunately, a bit unfriendly in the restaurant, but the food was great.
- Avinash (8/5): - Convenient and clean with a functional kitchen making breakfast an easy option to start off the day
- Brenda (8/5): - Ontzettend schoon.
- Enrique (10/5): - Its a wonderful place to stay
- Mikel (7/5): Good -
- Nathaniel (7/5): Nice hostel. - We stayed at the hostel after camping and not showering for a week. The shower was very difficult, either being extremely hot or very cold.
- Nayan (7/5): Good -
- Fanný (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (9/5): Superb -
- Jeffrey (8/5): Very good -
- Juliet (8/5): Very good -
- Alan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bjorn (6/5): Pleasant - The location for my visit was very good. It was easy to find and I found it easy to find a place to park every day. I missed a few more spots where I could hang clothes. A rack that one could hang above the door (IKEA).
- Sarah (8/5): - This hostel was great, the rooms were small but clean and tidy and warm for a winter in Iceland. Very rarely did I have to wait to use the restroom. The cafe below is super convenient and the food is delicious. No complaints
- Lukas (8/5): Very good -
- Þórarinn (8/5): Very good -
- Wendy (9/5): Superb - I mistakenly thought that this guesthouse would be more homely but it was in fact a very clean well presented Hostel. Breakfast not included, and rooms very small for family of 4 (not much room for your bag, no pegs for your coat). It served a purpose however as a clean cheap short stay before heading to the airport early the following morning.
- Brown (1/5): It was terrible - Nothing It was very loud even though the room was advertised as sound proof walls
- Gyri (2/5): Very poor - Quiet location.
Close to a bakery, groceries, swimming pool and recreation areas. Unclean and smelly.
Bathroom combined with washing room without a proper sink.
One toilet for 9 rooms.
- Lukáš (9/5): Superb -
- Carles (7/5): Good -
- Brian (7/5): Good -
- Joseph (8/5): - The place is quiet and clean
- Martina (10/5): - We will come back
- Gudzinska-adamczyk (10/5): The private rooms in Laekur Hostel are a perfect place for medium budget stay in Iceland - Very clean and cozy place, easy access to main sightseeing attractions I liked everything
- Kimmo (7/5): Good - Room was clean Together areas could have been cleaner
- Darya (5/5): Passable - Location. Pricey.
Dirty and smelly common areas.
Staff very unprofessional.
- Milos (8/5): Very good -
- Jean (8/5): Stay very good and satisfying - Location faithful, convenient and agreeable with nearby store, whose especially cashier girl or supermarket is to be thanked for her caring friendliness The food could been better
- Yung (8/5): - Very clean and close to campsite.
- Amna (2/5): No staff on duty and no security. Homeless around. Really small suffocating room. Not worth the money at all - It was NOT a guest house but a student hostel. No ventilation and very suffocating. No security and no staff on duty. Some homeless people were crashing and sleeping in main area sofa every night. Last night some people opened our door without knocking and said sorry and went away. They were checking if rooms were empty so they can just free lodge and sleep there. Shared bathroom on floor which even people from outside can use.
- Andrea (7/5): will try a different place next time - the property is cheap. the family room is simple. the photos definitely show the tidy and and well decorated space that isn’t anymore. it’s more of a backpackers spot. the communal toilets regularly smell. the doors easily slam shut which wakes you up regularly. public transport is needed to walk into town
- Michele (7/5): Good -
- Kevin (6/5): - In the heart of Reykjavik.
- Guilherme (8/5): Very good -
- Svanur (5/5): Not good, not bad just a cheap hotel -
- Lawren (5/5): Nice way to get to know the city. Using it as a base works perfectly fine. - Room is very close to downtown Reykjavik, easy to move around Room is extremely small. 2 beds felt crammed in the small space.
- Omar (8/5): Very good -
- Omar (8/5): Very good -
- Verified traveler (2/5): - After arriving to check in they could not find my reservation even though I had my confirmation and receipt of payment. They had to call another office who put them on hold to see where was my reservation. They do not disclose that guests have to rent a towel for a few, seriously even that's not provided. Please do yourself a favor and book elsewhere I will not recommend this place.
- Svala (1/5): honeymoon disaster - very nice looking place and we were looking forward staying there...but no staff....no keys... we had to call booking on our honeymoon and absolute disaster!! no staff available, could not calll them, booking got us another place but the one who we did see for like 5 minutes was rude and this ruined our honeymoon.
- Nicolas (10/5): - Nice place, super clean, everything you need is clean there, and close to downtown. Recommended.
- Ása (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vignesh (7/5): Good -
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Room was too small for two people (as wide as bed was) and for our stuff. There was a window sill which was in bad condition. It had got water damage and was moldy. In common rooms were untidy floors and WC. Shower hasn't been cleaned properly for months. There was black mold in the shower enclosure. Stuff were friendly though and there was beautiful and great bakery downstairs in the same building.
- Marta (8/5): Very good - The room was clean, bedsheets and towels included Bathroom wasn't clean, the number for late night check in wasn't answering
- Fabio (6/5): disappointed :( - Kitchen good. Toilets clean. Cafe downstairs is lovely and staff nice Felt very mislead by the photos. Our room was two tiny high up windows and it felt like a prison to be honest.
We didn't have access to half the communal areas in the photos. our entry fob stopped working and we was having to forever get other guests to let us in by knocking on windows. One night we got back late and were stuck outside till 4 am waiting for someone to let us in. cold was an understatement. No staff on site everything has to be done via the cafe but the staff there are more focused on the cafe than the hostel.
Terrace was always locked, communal areas no access, no response from the hotel in regards to any of my concerns whilst there, asked if we could have a better/bigger room as we felt we were misled just told us none available.
It was a disappointing stay to the say the least, i can handle a small/basic rooms but i really felt mislead by the photos. it was that bad we booked a night in a different hotel just to give us a room with some light and space, 3 boys crammed into a room with 3 suitcases we were just forever stepping over stuff and tripping.
Had I had some form of response from the hotel I would of maybe not have left this review but we didn't get any thing back from them when I said i felt misled
- Manuban (8/5): Comfy guest house - Nice guest house, comfortable, quiet, good position. Super small the bedroom with double bed but for one night was perfect. Bathrooms all clean and with all the necessary. All fine. Just a small bedroom but clean and comfortable.
- Daisy (9/5): Superb -
