• Elmar (7/5): - sehr ruhige Lage der Gastgeber brachte uns beim Check-in 2 Dosen Bier, welche wir als Willkommens-geschenk annahmen. Am anderen Morgen beim Checkout verlangte der Gastgeber noch Euro 5.- für die Biere. Ein überrissener Preis, weil man für die Übernachtung bereits einen „guten“ Preis bezahlen musste.

• Rudolph (10/5): Hat mir super zugesagt. - Gute Ausstattung, freundlicher Wirt, gutes Essen. Da die Unterkunft doch etwas Abseits liegt, sind die für Unterkunft und Essen zu hoch.
• Buller (10/5): Such an original place & location - Most interesting place I have stayed out of 18 days on the Camino so far. Very rural. 20 minutes walk from the ‘bufones’ blowholes from the sea. Copious dinner and breakfast, served by Carlos, which is just as well as there is nothing nearby. n/a

Las cenas y desayunos caseros son невероятablemente deliciosos, de los mejores de todo el Camino. Los propietarios también pueden recomendar rutas interesantes por los alrededores y explicar con detalle cada una de ellas. Es un lugar donde apetece quedarse no solo una noche, sino varios días, para descansar de verdad y disfrutar plenamente de la atmósfera y la tranquilidad de este rincón.

• Julianne (9/5): - Hands down, favorite stay on the Camino. My room was incredible with beautiful natural light, a great shower, and a comfort bed. Breakfast was delicious and the hosts went above and beyond. If you want to hike the alternate route along the coast, this location is perfect.

El encanto de la casa está en el exterior
• Roxana (10/5): - Замечательный дом отельного типа. Семья была очень вежливой и любезной. Заселили нас ночью, когда мы забронировали номер за час до заселения. В номере было все продумано до мелочей. Новый ремонт в комнате. Были даже маленькие баночки шампуня и геля для душа, что сейчас редкость даже для сетевых отелей, ароматизатор для комнаты. Есть парковка на территории. Особенно хочу отметить, какой чудесный сад. Заезжаешь и видишь, что люди делают все с любовью к своему дому и тому, чем занимаются, что собственник очень старается, чтоб гостям было приятно. Очень чисто и комфортно. Я много путешествую и заметна разница, когда собственник предоставляет услугу качественно. Спасибо, рекомендую.

• Anne (9/5): A lovely stay in the country near the Bufones de Pria and the Rio Guadamia. - The house was located in a beautiful rural area within walking distance of the spectacular coastline on the famous blowholes or Bufones. Carlos was a great host, incredible cook and knowledgeable person. There was some construction going on while we were there related to the septic system, which caused some minor issues with our stay. Otherwise it was all great.

• Patricia (10/5): Camino Norte Luxury Stay! - Luxury on the Camino Norte route!!! This was by far one of my favorite stays. My room was well decorated and exceptionally clean. There aren't any restaurants nearby but the host does offer an excellent dinner and breakfast for a fee.
• Steve (9/5): An oasis of tranquility offering home-made food in huge quantities! - Although it’s situated some way off the beaten track, we enjoyed the peace and tranquility of Villalen. It didn’t matter that there are no shops or restaurants nearby because we were offered an enormous - and delicious! - four-course supper and a similarly filling breakfast served in a charming, heated outhouse in the garden.

• Rene (10/5): Super mooie kamer en een rustieke omgeving, absolute aanrader! - Supermooie locatie en kamer. De kamer is perfect verzorgd en super schoon. Ideaal als je geen zin hebt in de drukte van de stad, maar wel op een paar minuten afstand de drukte kunt opzoeken als je wilt. De eigenaar doet er alles aan om het naar je zin te maken, hele fijne en behulpzame man. Heerlijke ontbijtjes ook!

El propietario fue muy amable en todo momento y nos respondió a todo cuanto le preguntamos sobre donde podíamos comer, como llegar a los bufones de Pria... Las habitaciones eran muy amplias y estaban muy limpias La casa aldea no está en el mismo pueblo de Cuerres sino un poco apartada pero con las explicaciones del propietario que contacto con nosotros para explicarnos el camino llegamos sin ningún problema

• Thomas (8/5): Überraschend traumhafter Zwischenhalt in einer wunderschönen Gegend🤗 - Ca. 300 Jahre alte Ruine/Stall mit viel eigenem Engagement saniert und behutsam umgebaut in ein kleines/charmantes Familienhotel mit nur 7 Zimmern. Extrem ruhige Lage mitten in der Natur. Selten ein so sauberes Hotelzimmer und Bad vorgefunden, wirklich top! Sehr außergewöhnliches, besonderes Frühstück für € 11,00/Person. Alles frisch und geradezu liebevoll arrangiert. Der Hausherr wirkt im ersten Moment etwas schroff, aber „harte Schale….weicher Kern“. Hat super Tipps für Ausflüge in die Umgebung, ist sehr bemüht und macht sich wirklich Gedanken für die Gäste… 👏 Vorsicht! Nicht nach Navi fahren, sonst landet man auf verwinkelten/engen Waldwegen und kommt mit dem Auto nicht mehr vor - und zurück!!! Unbedingt den Anweisungen des Hausherrn (der meldet sich per WhatsApp) genauestens folgen!!!

• Tine (10/5): Heel fijn verblijf - Carlos was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ondanks de taalbarrière probeerde hij ons zoveel mogelijk tips te geven over wat we in de buurt konden doen, waardoor we enkele mooie plekjes hebben bezocht die we anders misschien gemist hadden. Het is ook heel fijn dat je in de tuin kan zitten. De kamer was voldoende ruim en proper.

• Diana (9/5): Superb - The property is in a small village without restaurants so as walkers we needed food. They provided a delicious dinner and breakfast for a very reasonable price. It was home cooked food and served in a small dining conservatory in the garden with a view of the mountains. It was not in the information on booking com so we only found out by messaging them. If you are walking the Camino it is a lovely place to stay.

• Nathan (8/5): Very good - A charming place close to a beautiful beach and the stunning Bufones de Pria. The host was very kind and made sure we knew about everything we could visit in the area to enjoy our time there.
• Jennifer (10/5): Fabulous stay right on the Camino. - Basically everything. The property is lovely. The room had a lot of character and it was cozy. The hosts are sweet and hardworking. They prepared a complete breakfast for me in a charming out building with a wood stove. When I left, the host escorted me to the street and pointed the way to the trail. Lovely people. I loved everything.

I came in out of the pouring rain off the Camino, and Carlos got me settled in… got a fire going so I could dry my shoes etc. my room was terrific. So clean and cozy! They served me, a delicious and very abundant dinner in the dining area, by the fire! I love this place!

The town, a bit of a walk, stopped predictable good food services so Villalen owner decided to make dinner for guests themselves. Great food! Walked guests to gate to show directions on departure with urging to add a coastline excursion that turned out breath taking. Would stay again in a minute. Longer.

I think they offered food in a charming “greenhouse,” but I never figured it out due to the language barrier and the fact that I ate just before I arrived. Worth checking if you’re considering this accommodation. The owner was very nice. Stubbed my toe on the raised floor to the bathroom. No sign to let me know I was at the right place; entrance was confusing.

• Dmitry (7/5): Good - Villalen is a nice family-run small hotel with something like 6..8 rooms. Breakfast is somewhat minimalistic -croissants, coffee, butter, but inexpensive, need to pay separately, 5eur per person. The location was great, close to the beach and the famous Buffones de Pria. Unfortunately, we could not sleep one night as it was a "cheeses celebration" nearby - dancing and singing all night, almost until 5 am.
