Guest Reviews
- Brenda (2/5): - There were stains on all places and a foul smell once you entered, would not recommend
- James (8/5): - Great 👌
- Verified traveler (4/5): Dont do it. - Old, mold, cockroaches. Unless you're a hooker or dope fiend you wont wanna stay there. Seriously.
- Steve (10/5): - Staff if great
- Steve (10/5): - Great staff
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Not all that great. Noisy, A lot of foot traffic.
- Rhonda (6/5): - I saw a roach. Only one, but that was enough for me. The bed was incredibly hard, staff was decent tho
- Wilson (2/5): - The room was not cleaned. There was hair and garbage in the sink that was clogged! The shower was gross! Overall room cleaniness was filthy and disgusting! Will never stay there again!!
- Adam (2/5): - DISGUSTING!!!!! NOT AS ADVERTISED!
- Tiffany (6/5): - It was cheap.
- Ximenna (2/5): - This hotel is absolutely atrocious. I arrived at 6pm and didn’t get checked in till 7 bc staff was on lunches. We got into the hotel room, smelled like pure cigarettes, dust everywhere, no toilet paper, we didn’t even sleep in the bed we were scared to get a disease. please avoid this hell hole.
- Katrina (10/5): - It was okay but kind nosey this time
- Carlos (4/5): - Good customer service, but that’s all
- Victoria (10/5): - Staff was very professional and friendly.
- Kevin (10/5): - great time
- Brooke (6/5): If u can get past the dirt and grime it'not so bad - Staff were hospitable and friendly as they come, more than that to help customers with their need... But every other aspect was almost as if they were trying to deter customers from staying there. Super dirty, when I first got there I even scrubbed my own room to prepared it myself for my time there... bc it was so dirty.
- leslie (8/5): - It was good the office ppl were very helpful they provided the room i needed
- Brooke (8/5): Basic pay= basic room - Average room kinda dirtier than it like so I just got cleaner and i scrubbed it myself. I cleaned the shower/tub bathroom and Any other places that I felt should be cleaned. On a better note, the staff were super friendly and seemed happy to help with anything I needed. But you get what u pay for when it comes to the rooms...
- Laura (6/5): - Staff was fine. Building and area around it not well maintained but it was cheap. People above us played their TV until the middle of the night way too loud. People yelling at 4:00 a.m. woke us, due to an overflowing toilet. Lots of noise.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bad stay - Room smelled horrible. Cigarette smoke... The condition of the room was as bad as thr smell. Old fixtures that were worn out (toilet seat, shower head, sink counter). Bed mattress bad. Not a great experience..
- Verified traveler (8/5): Front desk employees were always happy and helpful - Front desk personnel were cheerful and hospiable for during almost every interaction we shared; whether it was late at night or early in the morning, they seemed happy to for neary every experience that i had with them during my 2.5 week stay. Unfortunately there was 1 employee who was a total sour faced biyotch every time i saw her... She seemed to have something against me from the get. she even charges me $5 for a 2nd key card to be made. Later i was informed that i should have only been charged if i had lost one; which i hadn't. but another emperor saw her error and have me my money back to made it right.over all it was a great stay, quiet and relaxing just like i had hoped for! Needless to say, I will be returning hopefully sooner than later!
Thank you, Brooke B.
- Jaclyn (2/5): - This place needs to be condemned.
The stairs and upper walkway creak like they are about to give out on you. When you open the door to your room, you are greeted with a strong smell of stale cigarettes and mold. The windows barely close completely and the security lock on the door looks as if it's been broken off a few times and lazily put back on. The paint on the walls is bubbled and peeling off from water damage. Every surface is covered with a thin layer of dust and the baseboards have a layer of grime most of the way around the room. The walls have strands of hair, dirt smudges, and reddish-brown stains running down from the ceiling. Soap scum and body hair cover the shower. The bare floor is peeling up and missing pieces. All the furniture and linens are clearly aged, worn out, chipped, stained, and unstable. Nothing in the room has been updated or replaced in decades, including the TV and sad little minifridge. I didn't even want to sit down on anything, let alone sleep in that bed.
The woman at the front desk was nice enough and quick at least. I don't want anyone else to be trapped into reserving a room here without knowing what it's like. The pictures on their website look nothing like the room you are going to get. The rate is also outrageous, considering that clearly none of the profits ever go towards repairs, cleaning, or basic maintenance. The reservations are non-refundable at booking.
- Angela (4/5): - The property staff was very kind and helpful, but the hotel conditions were run down, dirty and other guests were noisy both nights. I would not recommend it to others.
- Eric R (2/5): - Not a clean place to stay not impressed with staff
- Aria (4/5): - LOUD. DIRTY.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok - Place was ok, for the price it is what it is. But area was not great, condition inside was iffy at best. Probably won’t stay again and won’t really recommend to people
- Thomas (2/5): Gross - The room was disgusting, it smelled like smoke, and there was mildew all over the bathroom. Cheap, broken furniture, TV didn’t work, and dead bolt didn’t work. Which was a problem given how sketchy the parking lot was.
- Celia (2/5): - Totalmente jamás lo recomiendo es muy sucio, inseguro, el área es muy mala
- Pedro (4/5): - THE PROPERTY NEEDS AN INMEDIATE ATTENTION (FLOOR NEEDS SWEEPING AND MOPPING,WALLS NEED CLEANING AND PAINTING, LAVATORY, TOILET AND BATHTUB NEED TO BE REPLACED...)
- Noe (2/5): - The hotel was old dirty run down.
- Road_Tripper0204 (2/5): Worst Room I've Ever Stayed In - To start, let me say I had no problem with the front desk staff. They were friendly and efficient when I checked in and checked out. But that is where the compliments end. This is NOT a place I'd recommend to anybody.
The walls were grimy. The TV had some sort of crud on it. The refrigerator door was all scratched up. There were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. The place smelled like smoke. The smoke detector was covered with a plastic bag. And I found a soiled condom in the parking lot. If I didn't see shady characters on bicycles roaming in and around the parking lot, I might have just stayed in my car for the night. Booking a room there was a real mistake.
- James (6/5): - staff was friendly and help full . Outside of that the place was a mess. My wife and I stayed in a room upstairs, at the top of the stair there was a puddle of standing water with algae growing in it. Was a slip& FALL waiting to happen. We made it to our room that smelled of mold. After sleeping, the next day the hot water was not to be found and the floor base board in and around the tub was covered in mold and the floor had rot all around it. was afraid to use the toilet because seat was falling off. (Not fastened) sink water did not work, and surrounding area was a wreak with cigarette burn marks all over countertop and not just the edges. Air in room worked ok but don't regulate on own, (a lot of up and down all night long was very noisy. I could go on but to sum up, the staff only work there and are nice people. Outside of that the place was way overpriced and a death trap not to mention a gross experience. Thangs would really have to change to bring us back that's for sure. O and a lot of panhandlers around the property no thank you. I paid a lot or way too much for this room. Ja
- Elmore (2/5): Expensive Dump - For the price not worth it. I will never stay there again!!!
- Susana (2/5): - This place is falling apart it’s discussing stinks dirty I will never stay here again it’s the most gross place I have stayed @ nothing was clean
- Luxaholic13 (2/5): Shady Horrible Rude non professional place - I was staying with a friend and when I got there the first night I went to the front desk and said the room number and said I needed a key they gave it to me no problem but then the next night I went to let the dogs out to potty and the door shut and I realized I didn’t have the room key or my wallet or car keys and when I went to the office they said can’t give me a key since the registered guest is not there and made me wait till my friend came back which was the next morning even though they talked to him on the phone so I had to stay outside all night with nothing with my two dogs because they said he had to be here in person and then a few morning later I left to run errands and I come back to the key not working and look through the window and all the room is made up and all of my stuff is gone so he takes me to lost and found and shows me my stuff but says I have to come back to pick it up 10-6 so I come the next day 10-6 sat and the front desk person says 10-6m-f so I go back the following wed and the maintenance man is watching the front desk and says I have to come back when the front desk person gets back so I came back in an hour and he tells me that they threw away all of my stuff cause it was a bio hazard now you tell me how a $3,500 LV Bag, $200 jumper start box, $100 hair trimmers, the bag even had my front tooth in it and my medication that clearly has my name on the outside of it and they also have my CDL and when I finally was able to speak to the manager his words exactly “I don’t give a f*** with anything you have to say, get off my property” so needless to say they are some of the shadiest scamming fraudsters out there and think it’s ok to just keep peoples stuff and not give it back I will never go here again
- Stephanie (10/5): Awesome as always - I really like their customer service you know on the motel is not in the best part of town however I had no issues with any riff Raff at all and their customer service is always phenomenal very friendly and very helpful very courteous and very professional very accommodating as well. And they are pet friendly which I love.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I had booked a hotel in the week and events and when I went to go check and they gave my room away I had a look for another hotel
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Very loud, shady business running out of some of the rooms. Unsafe conditions
- james (6/5): - Rooms are pretty run down parking is horrible
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It was disgusting smelled and people who actually live there are beyond loud all hours burn marks from the restroom headboards and comforters dirt and blood splatters everywhere I rather sleep in my car sinks clogged with food
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Even for a budget hotel, this was pretty terrible. The carpet and walls are so badly stained and/or unclean that my whole experience was uncomfortable and centered around not making any contact with either surface. We were supplied 1 bath towel for 2 people, our bathroom sink did not drain, and (this absolutely baffles me) the bathroom light did not work at night. Additionally, the other guests are completely selfish and uncivilized in that yelling is apparently the only way to communicate with one another, no matter the time of day. The fact that it was a different set of people doing this each day suggests that it is not an unfortunate experience with a single group of people but rather a typical occurrence that can be expected here.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice little area close to Walmart. Able to walk there.
Felt more secure having someone watching Cameras making sure everything was ok.
- Tawanna (8/5): Best Inn for the price was reasonable on a holiday - It was the best price considering it was a holiday weekend! We could ONLY stay 2 nights but I told the front desk I will come again!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Scary location, noisy and just not very welcoming.
- Eric (2/5): bed bugs! Stay away - Bed bugs. Everything about the stay just had a feeling of discomfort— the room, the lack of cleanliness, the bed bugs, the quality of amenities and the neighborhood. i am not coming back here especially now because I have a baby. I’d rather pay extra to stay at Hampton Inn off the 80 business route toward downtown nearby.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The property is very close from walmart, walking distance from starbucks
The room smells smoke although i asked for a non smoking room
It’s not safe at all , i couldnt sleep , just waited for the morning to leave
Showers are dirty same for towel
- Eric (4/5): Ghetto - Someone broke into my room and stole my property
- Bradley (10/5): Nice - Nice
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This place has bed bugs. I have had no bites at all and I stay here one night, i wake up with at least a dozen bites all on my arms. They are red, raised bumps that itch. Definately bed bugs.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It’s quiet and clean. Affordable. I checked in a little early. That was nice.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - They need to return the $50 dollar deposit.and clean the place better.
- Never (2/5): - This smells real bad and its not clean you have your hookers there and hood and thugs selling drugs there smell like wood stock everywhere this place is gross
- Andrew (10/5): - Amazing and great staff
- Verified traveler (2/5): - There's cockroaches it was very clearly but like about it is that my dog talks to me
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Customer service great, no familiar with area . I guess this is what you get for this price in this area. The owners were great.
- Benjamin (2/5): Disaster - Nothing worked the TV didn't work I couldn't get anybody to help me and the bed sheets were dirty. Wife I didn't work as well.
- Anna (2/5): - Horrible
- Verified traveler (6/5): - No ice smelly room. Smelled like body odor. Lack of towels.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The place was dirty all around. Vomit in parking area not cleaned up. Trash everywhere. The floor was nasty. The manager couldn't put down his phone and game to help with a problem TV. Woman behind a desk was ghostly. Noise at night from other rooms. Room door not sealed so light and cigarette smoke came in.
Good thing: 4 dirty dogs came in room.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Fine for the price - Pros: near public transportation, lots of places to eat nearby, Walmart is across the street
Cons: sketchy people, occasional yelling, weird stains on bathroom door and bedsheet, WiFi wasn’t always reliable
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bad Experience!! - The bed was bad and squeaky. Wi-Fi was very slow. Cheap quality toiletries and towels were in bad condition. Never staying here again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - When we went to check in we were informed the property had no hot water. Staff on duty wasn’t willing to discount room, and didn’t seem to think the water issue was a big deal. He was more interested in his video game then providing service.
- 1 cool teenager (8/5): American best value inn rocks - I enjoy staying there it's closer to home and they still have smoking room. Service is always pleasant.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Was not clean nothing worked The ice did not work over priced and the staff sucks was not satisfied would like my money back
- Teresa (8/5): - Descent prices
- Robert (4/5): Displaced - They had bugs
- Robert (4/5): Displaced - They had bugs in our room
- Jennifer (10/5): The awesomeness and friendliness kept me going - It was good and I think that the customer service was representative at the desk the desk clerk was very friendly and we got good sleep and were able to hit the road and back to work was awesome thank you very much
- Verified traveler (2/5): Take this place off the website, it's a terrible - I would not book this place at any cost. Room was dirty... Sheets had dog paw prints, cigarette burns.... hair... I asked for a change of linens 2 times. 2nd set also had cigarette burns in sheets. sink and counter had cigarette burns, room smelled. Restroom toilet barely flushed... This area attracts eventful people too. Police came to location while we stayed our one night. We already had the plan to drive away if police came again and sleep in car.
- LuZ (2/5): - Trashy dirty ghetto loud noisy not worth it
Will never come back here
- Cindy (10/5): it was meh - not the cleanest hotel i have stayed in, but we just needed a bed to sleep in. service was great.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Very noisy all night, people loitering around the property, we felt unsafe. Area looked skethchy. Room was outdated, no breakfast offered. Won't be staying here again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - From what I saw on the picture, it was alright looking. Leading up to my room I could smell urine, the smell of pot all over the place. In my room it was fair but again the smell of pot was very strong in the bathroom. In the evening, it was a madhouse, kids playing till the late hours running up and down the isle. Being on the second floor it sounded real loud. While asleep the room next to me decides to play music loud enough where I could hear it. My second night, again my neighbors decide to have an argument, real loud and it was getting to the point where I called the front desk to complain. The guy said it’s a family who just got back and I told him it wasn’t
- Stephen (8/5): - Staff is wonderful. Clean, fast, and efficient which is exactly what is needed after a long dat
- Marla (2/5): - This hotel is ran down and I feel like I was tricked and scam out my money
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Rooms were dirty. Housekeeping did not make the beds or clean the rooms our entire stay there. Just a horrible place to stay. Beds were super uncomfortable and same with the pillows. Highly don’t recommend this hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): It was OK - The hotel staff was super nice. The area is good because of all the shopping that is available in the area. The traffic noise made it hard to sleep. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were super UNcomfortable for my whole family.
- Malinda (4/5): nope not staying there again. - won't stay there again. room so bare. no chair to sit in. bed barely big enough for two people. door looked like it had been kicked in. ladies of the night every where. person was killed right across the street at Del taco. nope not staying there again. wifi didn't work with code from office.
- Stephen (8/5): - I have stayed in a variety of hotels in the last year. This hotel is not the newest or oldest and is neither the least or most expensive. My rating is based on a few simple facts: it is clean, the other guests have been respectful of my need for quiet, the facility is kept in good repair(lamps work ,etc) and the staff has always been professional and friendly. I wish there were hotels like this on more of the locations i travel to.
- Cory (8/5): Pay for what you get - Nice room lock needed alittle work. And the tv was too small. No breakfast either
- S (6/5): - Found pills in night stand drawer so who knows what went on in this room. Sheets were dirty and nasty, bed was horribly uncomfortable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Accommodations okay, but a bit on the Spartan side - This trip was last minute and the accommodations were okay. Coffee was only available in office after 7:00 am. I am out the door long before that most days.
- Sandra (4/5): - They have bugs I killed a roach and when we got back after about 8 hours away the room had been "cleaned" but thedead roach wad in the same spot. I won't be staying there again.
- 716pamelaj (2/5): Nasty place - They are scammers book you at hotel not even my dog would stay at drug dealers at the hotel cigarette burns on counters and the rugs room were dirty as hell lost $100 because not even a flea would stay at that hotel and with there no refund policy i would like to see one of them stay at that hotel Would advice anyone not to use this company or stay at the hotel
- Jose (6/5): Needs help - It was ok I expected better, mold in the bathrooms refrigerator did not work in room 111, the out side was very dirty like the grounds are not kept up, The staff was nice and there office could do with a nice appearance, needs paint and new counters and modern equipment. It was quite to sleep there. Would I stay there again, if it was cleaned up.
- D5623LUjohnc (10/5): Best hotel in North highlands - Quality hotel at a discount price, smoking and non smoking rooms. Great staff and crew, rooms are always clean. Close to fast food restaurants and grocery stores. Also close to downtown. If you like to shoot gun range across the street and McClellan air force base down the street for your enjoyment.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Decent & clean rooms - The staff is fairly friendly.
The House keeping crew is always willing to help with most of your needs.
- speleodave2016 (2/5): I would never consider staying here again. - We were staying here because I was arriving on a flight into Sacramento airport. I had a room reserved. We found out my flight was delayed quite late so I suggested my wife check in and that I would call her when I arrived. The clerk at the hotel was quite rude, and would not give her the room since the reservation was made in my name. The guy didn't ask for her name, nor consider how she would happen to know my name and that i had a reservation if she was not entitled to the room. He didn't ask for the reservation number, which she had. So despite having paid for a room, my wife had to sleep in her car for 5 hours instead of a bed as planned. Finally when I arrived we were able to check in about 2 a.m. The manager of the hotel made no offer to make amends for the hassle my wife had been put through. I've never encountered anything like this with a hotel. The room was quite overpriced for what it was.
- 921lydiat (2/5): Not worth a single dime of your money - Ok, first I will say I feel bad because both the late night and morning desk staff were very kind. However this was by far the dirtiest motel room I have ever been to. The room was labeled non smoking, but it reeked of so much cigarette smoke seeped into the room it actually hurt my throat. I saw five cockroaches, one of which was in the mini fridge. There were all kinds of disgusting drips and splatters all over the walls, and of course actual cigarette burns in the sheets. Their one amenity was free wifi, which didn't work. I wouldn't have even stayed if we hadn't arrived there at 2:00 a.m. after driving all night, but as soon morning light came I was out of there.
- TonySannella (2/5): DON'T DO IT, IT's NOT WORTH THE SAVINGS - What was wrong with my room at America's Best Value Inn? Let's just start with the lighting no desk lamp on the crappy little table nor were there any nightstand lamps just the one fixture up in the ceiling in the middle of the room. What about the alarm clock, what alarm clock? Or the coffee maker, wait there is no coffee maker. How about the hotel's breakfast? Guess again. Your non-smoking room smell a little like cigarettes? That's just because of all the cigarette Burns in the furniture outgassing smoke.
On the plus side they have free WiFi and worth every penny.
- cheay2017 (2/5): Horrible - As soon as I've checked in and had the chance to look at the room I checked out. The pillow casing were yellow and the inside pillow were stained all over. The thought of it is disgusting and sicken me.
- bloooey (8/5): good value - Clean comfortable room, accommodating staff, only a few complaints- room a bit cramped for 2 beds, street noise on front side and low water pressure in sink. Other than that, would recommend for overnight or long term stay.
- 312senecaw (10/5): It was there when i needed - I love the look of the office, took me to a Lucio Fulci, film all I needed was a pointless plot and some fake blood, but I actually like that the rooms are a bit older. I got a deep discount for staying longer . The staff is super friendly. I felt bad for the cleaning staff they work hard full days. So, I thought I would ask if they are looking for help. My room was clean the whole time. I just wish there we're different circumstances for my being here. Yes I would recommend it. They also have security.
- SUNNY_LADY30 (8/5): COZY AND QUIET - The property has a vintage feel on the outside,The rooms are a bit outdated but for the price there clean and quiet and that's what I'm looking for anyway, They also have security which is great. The front desk is very accommodating I asked for extra towels and they had no problem giving them to me like most places. They also have free wifi and coffee which is great to get your day up and started. The housekeepers do a great job trying to keep the property up which I think goes a long way. Will be visit this place again next time I'm in town
- F1285GZjohnd (8/5): Mega inn - First let me point out that Mega Inn is not part of the Motel -6 chain so the one reviewer seems to have been wrote from a lost person, I my self have been there many times since it has become Mega Inn and each time it only gets better, the staff is very helpful and on top of things all you have to do is ask, the rooms are "cozy", clean, and in order, and the Wi-Fi works unlike some other motel's in the area, it is quite and well run again unlike some of the others in the area, give it a try odds are you will agree
- 232jimt (6/5): enjoyable - The property itself is dated, older, exterior corridor. The room I had the pleasure to rent had a flat screen tv, fridge, and microwave. I guess I did not have the same experience as Calirain22, but, then again I am not one to have "questionable company". Overall the room was clean, smelled fresh, and quiet. Make sure you ask to get a room away from traffic. The free wifi and coffee in the morning is a bonus.
- mykobar (2/5): One of the worst... - First I was charged much more than the agreed upon rate. Manager attempted to tell me that the Motel 6 home office had failed to list their rates correctly. He then tried to bargain, rather than staying to to the rate I was guaranteed, as if I were in a third world country. The room was unclean and uncomfortable. At one point, the manager and an assistant parked a bed in front of my door, making it difficult for me to get in and out - and they offered no apology or any word of explanation. Motel 6 headquarters compensated me for this bad experience and said they would investigate. Still, I would never use this motel again.
