Guest Reviews
- Augustin (10/5): - Clean rooms and very friendly staff. Thank you!
- Margarita (6/5): - I really liked the motel and our room was great and the guests next door were super friendly, and as far as availability the staff was GREAT. My only complaint was regarding my sweet perfectly groomed, perfectly mannered, trained Shih tzu. I NEVER book a room that is not listed as allowing pets. This motel does list PET-FRIENDLY, so I didn’t think anything of it. Thank God my mom mentioned the dog as we were checking in because otherwise, we would have been charged a “NOT REPORTING” fee of 100 dollars. Maybe the manager doesn’t realize that the motel is listed as PET FRIENDLY and that there is no way to add a pet to the check in page so that the 20 dollar nightly fee is added to the reservation $total? Bc the reaction, questions, and comments from the manager gave me the strong impression that I had done something wrong. Maybe she didn’t mean to make me feel this way but it IS how I ended up feeling. She said she would waive the deposit or whatever she called it (I’m not sure if she was referring to the 20 dollar fee that I didn’t know about or the 100 dollar fee for not reporting my pet. I only learned of both fees while reading in full the “responsible for damages” thing I had to sign. Anyway, she waived whichever she was talking about because as an emotional support pet I agreed that it can be considered a service pet?)
The point is, how and WHEN are we supposed to REPORT that we have a pet?
- Daniel (4/5): - Lumpy mattresses, room is outdated, can hear people in next room talking, floor around toilet soft. Outside has no maintenance
- James (6/5): Good for a 1-night affordable stay - Free coffee advertised, but only hot chocolate available. No supplies in room coffee station.
- Thomas (10/5): - I enjoyed the visit with the manager during the check in process.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Bad/Old house kind smell makes you uncomfortable being in the room.
Bathroom fan was not working.
- donald (10/5): - Close to where I needed to be
- Brian (8/5): - Old fashion interiors but clean and quiet.
- Albert (8/5): - Clean, comfortable bed, definitely worth the money you paid
- Steve (6/5): - Property was really run down outside but the rooms were all freshly redone and they're trying real hard to fix it up.
- Elmer (10/5): - Was a nice motel
- Terry (10/5): - The manager was very helpful and pleasant.the area was scary at first sight.i know they are new owners and are improving but the my first reaction on sight was to run. It needs to be a lot more eye appealing, starting with the office area and outside areas the room was dated but clean and a quiet area
- Linda (10/5): - We like
- James (8/5): - Clean rooms
- Carlos (10/5): - Nice motel. Little dated but management is friendly and they take good care of the place. Very clean and thankful for it's location.
- Bryan (8/5): - Price
- James (10/5): - Close to the location I go to. Been there many times
- Paul (8/5): - Was affordable clean and safe.
- Bob (6/5): It was ok - The place doesn't look the best on the outside but the room was ok. The owners are working to fix the place up.
- Alan (10/5): - The people are nice and great rates however the rooms were not the cleanest
- David (8/5): - If you ever find yourself in Troy Pennsylvania this place is basic clean and classic nothing else!
- Evan (2/5): - They overcharged $100 claiming I smoked in their room and had a cat. Neither of which were true. You could tell by looking at them that they were going to pull a stunt like this. Hillbilly trash.
- Alexander (8/5): - Reasonable value
- William R (8/5): - Safe quiet and affordable
- Neil (10/5): - Room/BR was clean, staff very friendly. Room included a fridge, microwave and free wifi.
- Cynthia (4/5): - Booked for 3 nights, only stayed for 1. Wifi connection was horrible. They did move an extender closer to our room but it didn't help for long. The draw to making this motel choice was the "Family Room" which had 3 beds so we each had our own bed, although equally HARD AS THE FLOOR! It was OVERPRICED for what it was.
- Brandon (8/5): - Overall a quick little stop with a normal motel vibe - efficient and comfortable. Saved $ -
- Meghan (6/5): - It was clean enough. The female employee at the desk was friendly and kind. It’s old. It’s not updated. The carpet is pretty gross and the room smelled funny but it is a typical small town motel in the middle of nowhere. It was fine for my stay.
- Derrick (6/5): - Curb appeal needs work. Road noise was noticeable. Room was very clean, staff very helpful, nice people. Overall, good value for the price.
- Murugesan (10/5): - It was nice stay with family along with two kids. This hotel is in hill. It was clean maintained. Inside room have tv, refrigerator, owan, ac/heater and table. Easy check in and check out
- Donald (6/5): - We were visiting the PA Grand Canyon, but had trouble finding a place as it was a last minute decision on a weekend. Work in progress, as it's under new management. Not bad for price. Bathroom was clean, water pressure was phenomenal with nice hot water. It could use better lighting and exhaust fan didn't work. Overall it was clean, although the bedding should be replaced. Beds and pillows were not very comfortable, but we survived the 2 nights there. It does appear they are fixing things up. If it weren't for the uncomfortable sleeping conditions, I would recommend for the price. Afterall, that is your main purpose for being there. If you are one that can sleep on anything, then it may be worth it for you.
- CHARLES (10/5): - It was a nice and quiet place. Rooms were a little old
But it worked fine for us.
- Timothy (8/5): - Location because of small town
- Nancy L (4/5): - No grab bars no non slip safety strips in tub/shower. Not adequate towels etc. no soap.
- Brian (8/5): - Hotel is a little dated but clean with plenty of hot watet.
- Eric (8/5): - The manager was amazing and extremely pleasant, the rooms were clean. And I did not hear a single thing from outside the entire stay.
The only issue I have was the air conditioning in my room was not working correctly.
It is a cheap motel, but the staff easily makes up for its lack of nearby amenities.
When I need to return I will be using this motel again.
- William H (10/5): - We had a late check in a they waited for us . The gentleman was very polite and couldn’t have been nicer
- Ronald (10/5): - Everything was great great greeting for checking in room i loved it and i would come back again no problem reasonable rates
- kelly (4/5): - It was gross, there was no vents on the air conditioning. The whole room smelled like mold, we all woke up congested. The towels had hair on them and the bathroom was filthy. The door wouldn't lock. The staff was nice and the price wasnt too bad. Coffee had mold sitting on top in the office.
- Natalie (8/5): Nice place to stay - The staff was very nice and friendly it was easy to find and they had no problem with us having our dog with us beds were comfortable and clean eveything work well. Would use again if I were in the area
- Rachel (6/5): - It was pretty good for the area if you need to crash a couple nights. The in window heat unit is odd but it works well. The bathroom and shower were clean. The sheets were alright there was a burn hole in one lol. There were rarely people at the desk so we dodnt have a TV remote the whole stay cause I didnt care enough ti hunt down the staff. The staff also dont explain anything and are probably not the best group for a customer service job. The man who checked me in at night in his pjs and no shoes was more pleasant than who i presume is the owner woman that definitely seemed wacked upon checkout.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It's old fashioned, but good enough for a short stay.
- Tyrell (6/5): - Affordable is the only thibg pretty good with this place and the staff. But the wifi is pretty bad.
- Charlotte (6/5): We rested well. - Clerk was friendly. I chose this hotel because it was pet friendly. Well, the extra 30. Made it unfriendly. Should be posted that pets cost $30. Extra.
- Zach (8/5): - Staff was nice place was clean just what i needed
- Steven (8/5): - I really didn't have any complaints about my stay. I didn't need anything fancy. I just needed someplace to stay overnight that met my basic needs: (secure, heat/ac, bed & bathroom facilities). I didn't really need a tv, wi-fi ( although they had these) or telephone; just someplace to stay the night. The staff was very friendly and helpful & even let me check in a little early. I was very happy with my acommendations.
- Scott (8/5): - It was a better experience than I thought it would be. It’s old and in need of updating but clean and everything worked, T.V., fridge, microwave, etc.
- Janusz (2/5): - Dirty ,nasty
- Jack (4/5): - Just not a nice place
- Gerald (4/5): - Outdated, rundown and noisy.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was fine. No wifi signal, but that was sort of expected. The hotel is older, but it was ok to sleep there
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Nasty very bad don't ever plan on going back. Filthy ac don't work everything just crap
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The property was convenient to the Fair Grounds that we were attending
There was a lot of ''Fixing up'' that the property needed. Dirty carpets, broken A/C, No working Fire alarm,
However, we did not come upon Bed Bugs or other such critters, for which we were Grateful.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I love that my towels are so soft! When I asked to to check the tv coz it’s not working they checked them right away! It was not a flat screen tv & the picture was blurry!
When we arrived in our room there’s a stale smell. When husband open the toilet to use it, there was cigarette butts in it! Our room is a non- smoking room! So, that said it was not clean very well.
Found some black ants, small flies & spider (1).
The motel needs a lot of remodeling, fixing!
I should have read the reviews b4 booking!
My fault!
I don’t recommend it to any of my friends!
- Scott (8/5): Clean, comfortable, & Cheap - Good and comforting hotel and a great price.
- Roy (8/5): - Was ok
- Becky (2/5): - You do not need to book the rooms at this time down motel at the prices I paid the towels were very old and tattered the sheets did not stay in place there was no breakfast as said on sign
- Lisa (2/5): - Horrible no tv or WiFi beds were filthy
- Leslie (2/5): - Tried to call the number on site and no one answers. When I arrived no one was there. Total impression that this is nothing but a flea bag motel. Do NOT go here.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was fairly clean.
Definitely not 2 double beds. More like a double and a twin!
Smelled like stale smoke, for a 'non smoking' room!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Was not clean. Room was not made up when we returned after 5 PM. We had to ask for towels on both days.
- Bettie J (2/5): Worst Hotel Ever!!! - This hotel was the worst ever. There were no blankets, sheets or pillowcases on the beds. No washcloths or towels and after asking for such never received washcloths. Will never stay there again!!!
- Jessica (8/5): EHH, it was okay. - The room looked clean, but the bathroom smelt like someone had “used it” before we got there. One bed was super uncomfortable, the other was comfortable enough. It did smell a little funky. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience like the other reviews made me feel as it would be.
