• rofiqul (1/5): Terrible! - I couldn’t bare to stay in that hotel more than 5 minutes. The smell of smoke. The dirt piled by the entrance and the physical obstacles my son and I had to climb over. But worst of all, the rude staff at reception. He didn’t care who came in or not - wouldn’t want to understand anything. But he did me a favour - I realised I’m better off leaving that property and staying elsewhere which is what I did! Everything except the name. Why ruin Mevlana’s name like this!

• sabeta (1/5): My terrible experience at Mevlana Hotel Konya - Nothing. Our experience with this accommodation was terrible. We were welcomed into a place that was in a ruined condition, full of dust, and the atmosphere was not warm or friendly at all. The rooms looked like a construction site and were nothing like the pictures shown online om Booking. They offered us three different rooms after we refused to enter the one that was originally assigned to us, but each of those rooms was far from suitable even for a minimal stay. The beds had no bed sheets and were not properly prepared or completed. After we expressed our dissatisfaction, they offered us another hotel where we could check in the next day. That night we had to find a place ourselves and pay for another hotel to sleep in. The next day, when we arrived at the other hotel, they told us that we had to pay an additional 1500 lira as the difference between the hotels, even though we had already paid the accommodation in advance. Overall, the experience was terrible and we would not recommend staying in this hotel to anyone because nothing is as it was presented. Also, a friend of ours told us that he had exactly the same experience with this hotel. Thank you

• Maja (1/5): Pics: bathroom door and floor. - One plus point about this hotel is that they allowed us to leave our luggage and use the bathroom before the scheduled check-in. The only thing that was flawless was the bedding, which was clean and fresh. Other than that, it was a disaster. Literally a disaster. I travel a lot in Turkey. I stay in hotels in the same price range, as well as in hostels. I understand that a hotel may be old and in need of renovation, and that this is a big investment. However, cleaning the floor and dusting is basic. The bathroom floor was very dirty. There was dust everywhere, on the windows and doors. The floor in the dining room at breakfast was so dirty that it stuck to my shoes. Breakfast consisted of bread, eggs, tomatoes, jam and butter. There wasn't even any cheese. The teapot was leaking water with limescale. Never again. Avoid this place. A hotel for people with strong nerves. Additionally: staff members speak Turkish only, no other language.
• Zahra (1/5): Disgusting - Nothing they are scam and they are showing you the pictures of their other property and when you get there, they take you to a very, very bad and poor condition So they are absolutely a scam and they take you to a very, very dirty hotel that that were roaches on the ceiling, dirty beds disgusting and then when you complain that this is not the pictures that I’ve seen they say oh that’s our other location and if you wanna go there, you have to pay extra

If you are looking for a low budget room with exceptional center of town location this is the place for you. Firstly let me state that I got what I paid for and was good with that. Some of the items that may upset others are:- Towels were so old I used my own, wifi didn't work, room decorations are ancient, Breakfast a bit of a joke eggs, tomato, bread and olives and Cay.

• Yasemin (6/5): Konya Meydan'da konaklama - Acil konaklama ihtiyacımı hızlı bir şekilde karşılaması ve Konya Meydanı'na yürüme mesafesinde olması açısından memnun kaldığım bir yerdi. Lokasyonu gerçekten çok avantajlı. Ancak genel olarak binanın biraz daha bakımlı ve temiz olmasını beklerdim. Örneğin, odada el havlusu bulunmuyordu, yerde bir kilim olabilirdi ve terliklerin de sunulması hoş olurdu. Ayrıca bir seccade de düşünülse çok daha güzel olurdu. Bunlara rağmen, zaruri ihtiyaçlarımı karşılayan bir yer olduğu için tekrar tercih edebilirim. Çalışanların yardımseverliği de memnuniyetimi artırdı. Küçük iyileştirmelerle çok daha keyifli bir konaklama imkânı sunabilirler.

The cables are open, the room is too small, and it is not clean at all. The photo of the room on Booking.com may be from 20 years ago, but the current situation in the room is totally different.

• Yaqzan (1/5): Very worst hotel dont stay here! - I just like the location because it's located at the center of all main attractions of Konya City. The rest is very horrible. The aircond is very worst. The staff ask me to switch on the main box switch outside every time if it turn off. But it shut down every 10min. There was on summer very very hot at night! We can't sleep and they don't help us. Internet line very poor not suitable to use for work or medsos. The room very bad, very dusty, come from the poor aircond. All the walls are covered by very old and dusty wallpaper. The dustbin in the toilet got a lot of stink and watery. We saw small cockroaches in toilet and also in pantry! During breakfast, the bread not put properly, all just served in a plastic bag. Breakfasts are all same everyday and cockroaches crawling on floor. There was no cup at water dispenser. The room is too noisy with outside noise, since there was no aircond, we urge to open window every night and the sound and dust come from that window. It's not worth to pay when you experience the facilities and conditions like this. Sorry and we did not come again and not recommend to families, couple and business traveler. This is my honest review as a journalist.

• Richard (3/5): Barely 1.5-star with no space in rooms albeit friendly, safe, and right downtown - The location was great. You can take the tram directly to Zafer station then switch to the other tram line for two stops and you will be in walking distance of all things downtown. The staff were friendly. The beds and room were clean. The breakfast isn't worth anything, eat out elsewhere - and there are a ton of places available within walking distance. I could only manage to connect to wifi in the lobby in spite of their range extenders - an inconvenience. The fridge in the room was both in a non-working state (see photo) and was out of reach of an electrical outlet!! The room basically only had enough room for the beds and a table. Otherwise, there was less than 1.5 square meters of walking space which is terrible for international travellers with suitcases. The electrical work in the bathroom was shoddy at best. I would not recommend staying here due strictly to the quality of the rooms, let alone anything else.

During my two nights a worker banging away in the next room until midnight. No consideration for the hotel users !

Temiz ve hijyen değildi. Yataklar oldukça pis kokuyordu. Kendi havlularımızı serip üzerinde yattık ve sabah kahvaltı bile yapmadan ayrıldık. Sahipleri, popüler bir lokasyonda olmanın rahatlığıyla müşteri deneyimine duyarsızdılar. Bu oteli tercih ettiğimiz için çok pişmanız.

• Arjan (2/5): Never again... - The location is excellent, in a small side street, close to several restaurants and shops/museum. The room smelled of cigarettes. Holes in the duvet cover, possibly bed bugs, my legs quickly became itchy. Bathroom is in bad condition. Not a whole roll of toilet paper, but five rolls with some remaining toilet paper in a cupboard. The wallpaper fell off the wall, staples were used to secure it. Upon arrival I was asked several times if I wanted to pay in cash and not by credit card. No one present at check-out. Breakfast can't be called breakfast....the dishwasher was stopped to get some glasses out of it. Tables dirty/sticky.

• Ruba (2/5): - The hotel is soooo dirty, there is no room service at all, no cabinet or kettle or even plastic cups in the room… no water bottle. The fridge is not working, so is the telephone. There is only one electric switch in a room that must accommodate two persons!!! Dust and dirt are covering everything, the bathroom is disgusting…The room was really stinking, the smell is horrible, I asked them to change bedsheets and the coverlet, they didn’t respond immediately, they claimed they don’t have another key for the room.. unbelievable!!! This hotel should be removed from any rating list. I don’t recommend anyone to go there, the only good thing about it is its central location.. By the way, the breakfast is sooo poor.. moreover I have seem in my own eyes how cockroaches are roaming over the dish washing machine.. Hotels.com should never recommend such a place to anyone, they need to clean their place first before receiving any guest.

I would say too bad and worst. The floor was not clean , very oily and sticky.. then i ask to change another room… guess what it is the same condition… bad smell, bed not comfortable we couldn’t sleep at night because we can hear people talking from downstairs… too noisy. But the location was good. That’s it. They have free breakfast but very simple breakfast, i think that is how the hotel in turkey serve the breakfast.
