Guest Reviews
- Caroline (8/5): - Really nicely decorated, location near to the airport ideal for early flights, staff were very welcoming Continental breakfast was very simple, but the pain au chocolate was freshly made. A non sweet alternative would have been nice
- Philip (9/5): Thanks for making me feel welcome and for a lovely stay. Would definitely stay here again. - The staff were extremely welcoming and pleasant, adding a lovely personal touch to the stay. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the pub served excellent food and drinks. Beautiful building and surroundings. Breakfast was only available during the weekend which was a pity as the food they served during the afternoon/ evenings was excellent.
- Dawn (9/5): Happy and would return. - Good location, easy from motorway. Quiet situation for peaceful sleep. They did not serve breakfast in the week.
- Diane (8/5): - Extremely comfortable, excellent food, friendly staff
- Frans (10/5): Good country style inn with large new clean rooms - Nice inn with brand new, very comfortable and clean rooms, served by friendly and helpful staff.
- Jonathan (8/5): -
- SHIRLEY (8/5): A lovely relaxing stay in country pub - Lovely country pub with beer garden. Friendly staff and serving good food. Rooms were set behind the pub and beer garden in a quiet location. Attractive converted original buildings with parking situated outside the accommodation. Very clean rooms. Our room was slightly dated but it’s possible that they are in the process of refurbishing the accommodation as our friend was upgraded to a recently beautifully decorated room.
- John (8/5): Brilliant place - we will return - The staff are exceptionally nice
The location of the property is really good if travelling south or north using the Mi / M42
The rooms are comfortable and quiet .
Very dog friendly stay too
The food cooked fresh was lovely and done imaginatively I would have preferred that breakfast be provided as it used to be - the continental breakfast was disappointing .
- Tom (10/5): Fantastic visit from start to finish, will be back. - Modern, clean and comfortable / great food and friendly, accommodating staff. N/a
- angela (9/5): Very pleasant stopover - Excellent Burger was over cooked
- Julia (10/5): - The staff, the food, the room...all top notch. Thank you 😊 Not a thing!
- Melissa (9/5): - Large room and modernised bathroom
- Patricia (9/5): - Lovely location nice and quiet
Staff excellent and food excellent
The room was exceptional. Booking.com advertised the booking with breakfast included however that was not the case.
- Karen (9/5): -
- Werner (8/5): -
- Martin (10/5): A lovely friendly atmosphere with comfortable quiet rooms, and magnificent food. - The rooms were very comfortable and quiet, which was exactly what we needed. All the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The food was gorgeous and fantastic value. I will have no qualms about rebooking or recommending to others. That I was only staying for one night.
- Rhian (9/5): Loved it. - Room was amazing, beautiful, comfortable. It was a little pricey
- Andrew (8/5): This is the place we first look to stay at whenever we visit Loughborough. - The rooms are modern and very comfortable. The evening dinner and pub is always enjoyable. The breakfast started too late, 8:30, and we had to skip most of it due to event commitments
- Angela (7/5): Great place to stay, shame about the food. - Very comfortable and well equipped room.
Very quiet and great parking.
Staff very friendly.
Good value for money. Ate in restaurant and meal very disappointing.
Ordered medium rare steak which was too rare. Asked for it to be cooked some more but steak came back just the same, ruined the meal.
- Bruce (9/5): Great fun and value. - Staff very friendly and helpful, food is always great. Rooms are to a high spec and comfy with BIG beds!
- Lynda (9/5): Excellent place for an overnight stay either for the airport or like us as a break on the long drive north . - Very well appointed room . Huge bed which had lovely sheets and was very comfortable.
Immaculate bathroom with everything one would need .
Nespresso coffee machine , kettle , milk and biscuits were a very nice touch . Nothing really apart from BBC channel didn’t work on tv - but Netflix did!
- Paul (10/5): - Great location for the race circuit
Good bar and food
Good rooms
Price is reasonable Nothing
- Karolina (10/5): I would stay here again and would recommend to friends and family - Everything was really nice
- Claire (8/5): -
- vic (9/5): it was much better than I expected and I will certainly return. - only there for one night, food was excellent, did not have breakfast, room was was clean and comfortable and nice and quite. N/A
- Michelle (10/5): Perfect. - Always a great place to stay but also a popular place to eat. Nothing.
- Stephen (9/5): - Lovely pub good food and decent beer. Bedroom clean and tidy, tea / coffee and biscuits in room, and a decent tele, room cleaned daily Nothing not to like
- Connolly (4/5): - Not a lot Appalling continental breakfast, brought to room. No cutlery, no crockery. Stale croissants, plain bread, no butter . One packet cereal fof 2, one orange.
Reviews were great but not up to any standards we recognised as good.
- Christopher (9/5): Comfy stay in a nice room with a perfect layout for ease of getting ready. - Loved the bedroom layout. (Room 11) Mirror above the dressing table with seat was excellent for getting ready. (Not many places provide this practicality for ease of make up & drying hair) Lovely to have an additional seating area with table so not just having to drink tea whilst sitting on the bed. Lovely restaurant in which we had a wonderful evening meal with great service. Pleased we asked for an upstairs room beforehand as a couple of the downstairs rooms have French doors near the bed, which don’t seem as private and didn’t have any mirrors over the dressing table areas so a bit more impractical.
- Claire (7/5): - Perfect stop off on long journey, lovely staff.
- Stephen (10/5): Quiet, roomy peaceful hotel with Pub, restaurant and beer garden. - The room was spacious, well equipped and well lit with bags of character. Parking was located immediately outside and the room was only a minutes walk through the beer garden to the pub and restaurant. I ate at the pub 3 nights and enjoyedf the food. The staff were very friendly and efficient. My only criticism would be the the apparent absence of a bedside light which made lighting a little less convenient but easily rectified.
- Adrian Walby (9/5): - Good sized room. Clean with good facilities. Plenty of room for car parking.
- Conduit (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Natasha (10/5): Fabulous, friendly staff and comfy accommodation. - Clean and well presented had our own little corner of court yard. Nothing
- John (9/5): Enjoyable overnight. - Very pleasant room in a block behind the pub. Very nicely appointed and spacious. Good bathroom.
Good food in the restaurant and very friendly bar staff.
- Paul (10/5): - great place to stay before flight great food and service very nice staff perfect for what we were looking for nothing
- Virginia (8/5): - Very comfy bed, lovely old building decorated very attractively. No breakfast service in the week. Room isn't very soundproof, but only in small blocks so can only hear three other room.
- Seth (9/5): -
- Jeremy (10/5): What a great overnight stay at The Falcon Inn. - The Falcon Inn is a lovely Inn/pub with great staff, great food and a really lovely atmosphere. The food matched the menu exactly, so you actually got what you thought you were getting, the drinks choice was extensive and the room was luxurious. Everything was perfectly clean in the room, we couldn't ask for more. Nothing.

- Sharon (8/5): -
- rachael (10/5): -

- AutumnAng (9/5): -
- Steve (10/5): - Country pub with great atmosphere and good food
- Hazel (10/5): - They don’t do breakfast on weekdays
- Ross (9/5): - Very tasteful and pleasant room. The bed was too short to be king-sized!
- Gill (9/5): Nice comfortable stay - Nice clean newly refurbished rooms. Property ideally located for us visiting daughter who lives nearby Nothing
- Andrew (10/5): Spotless and very comfortable accommodation - We had a lovely stay that we booked last minute. The welcome we received was fantastic and they even managed to fit us in for Sunday lunch on probably the biggest day of the year - Mother’s Day. The room was spotless and the bed was so comfy and we would definitely return. Nothing
- Marcel (8/5): Work stay. Would stay again. - Clean modern rooms with good facilities. Food quality in pub v good. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. No breakfast / breakfast snack box option, which can be left outside room not good quality.
- Saul (10/5): - Clean and modern room
- n/a (8/5): - Ambiance. Staff. Breakfast.
- Conduit (10/5): - Room are fantastic with ravenous bathrooms.
Stayed in 1, 5, 7 and 9 so far. Going for the full set Nothing
- Baz (10/5): Perfect stay at such a lovely venue and minutes away from East Midlands Airport - Great staff, lovely location. The pub was a proper village pub but with excellent accommodation attached.
Had a lovely meal in the pub
Room was superb. Decorated in warm cottage style and a large very comfortable bed.
A beautiful bathroom with walk in shower. Nothing to dislike
- Gill Taylor (9/5): Little gem - Spotlessly clean excellent staff Room 11 bed wasn't so comfy
- WNB2747 (9/5): - Very good breakfast included. We also had dinner the previous night. Very nice too. Works well for us travelling North/South
- Barry (9/5): Good value comfortable stay - Excellent clean room and comfortable bar serving good quality food and beer Shame there was no breakfast option during the week .
- Gary (10/5): Comfy rooms and amazing food! - Friendly welcome at this nice cozy Inn. Well appointed and clean rooms. Love the coffee that came with the coffee machine in the room.
The food in the restaurant was amazing
- J Fleetwood (9/5): A great stay - Lovely staff, clean rooms, comfy bed All good
- Adrian (9/5): - Very handy for the airport Food not as good as it could have been
- John (8/5): Very comfortable and freindly. - Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food was good. Bit disappointed that there was no breakfast available.
- Rachel (10/5): Lowly stay will return - A lovely pub, hotel & location.
Great food especially breakfast
- Alexander (7/5): Always enjoy staying there , less so this time as per my comments . - I have stayed a few times , the location is excellent and they also have a niece kitchen/restaurant set up I was in same room as I was previously, I completely forgot about the emergency room light (green) being like Blackpool illumination! , which impacts on you trying to sleep , it was still exactly the same and last time u stayed was a November.
The toilet was needing fixed as after flushing it was running for ages and you can hear it, the TV was a poor connection for terrestrial channels , works ok for Netflix etc . I did point out to them on my second night so hopefully they will rectify it. The food is always excellent as also one of the reasons I have stayed a few times, second night meal, sausage and mash was not hot enough so wasn’t up to their normal standard, hence I left over half of it . I did highlight this to the waitress, she said sorry ! Which I think is the wrong appears I still paid for the meal that I did not enjoy.
- Gopi (9/5): Loved the place - Lovely village location (quiet and peaceful), belied its proximity to the motorway. Very welcoming staff. Excellent (British) food. Very comfortable bed. The room, although relatively small had all needed amenities, well presented.
- Michele (10/5): -
- Jade (9/5): -
- BETHANY (10/5): -
- Holly (10/5): Wonderful play to stay. Lovely staff and facilities. - Such a gorgeous hotel. Totally exceeded our expectations. We booked the room for Download festival and the staff were super helpful and let us check in early as we were going to be arriving back after reception hours. The room is stunning, all facilities are beautiful, luxurious and super comfy. Everywhere was spotless and a lovely little quiet place to stay. Would highly recommend. Nothing.
- Simon (8/5): Really nice - Really nice pub , matters was a not so comfortable but tbh, that might be me Nothing really …. Cooked breakfast would have be fab
- Carolyn (10/5): -
- Andy (9/5): Great Stay - Just stayed the one night for work. Really friendly and helpful team, Lovely, comfortable room and lovely meal in the evening in the pub - was pie night! Nothing. Was all great!
- luciluno2 (8/5): Second Stay Here, So Enjoyable, Would Recommend - The staff are lovely, in particular the manager and the young girl behind the bar. So friendly and helpful.
The room is fab too, nicely decorated. Bed extremely comfortable. Nespresso machine a nice touch. Good heating. Just a nice experience. The shampoo/shower gel combo. I never trust all-in-one shower products!
- paul (8/5): -
- Nigel (8/5): Fantastic pub with beautiful rooms - It was a lovely welcome on arrival. We were two couples and had rooms 1 and 2. The level of comfort and cleanliness in both rooms was outstanding. The decor really beautiful, gorgeous bathroom too (shower room actually).
In the evening we had a fabulous meal and drinks in the bar restaurant. The restaurant supervisor (sorry, we didn't get her name but we remarked at her work ethic and commitment despite being almost ready for maternity leave = she was solidly on her feet for at least 3 hours!)
The other waitress was also lovely, nothing was too much trouble for either of them.
Bravo...thank you both Midway during our restaurant meal we were told that the breakfast for the following morning (which was included in our stay) would be a hamper to take to our rooms. Apparently a cooked breakfast option is no longer available from Monday to Thursday.
We had a hamper each which we put in the boot of our car to keep cool overnight.
However the contents were really quite disappointing. A small box of cereal, bottled orange juice, extra tea and coffee and two pastries per person. As the pastries were only wrapped in greaseproof paper there were, alas, stale by the time we were ready to eat them. We left them inside the hamper on our departure.
The hotel is still advertising cooked breakfasts on the Booking.com site.
Had we known about the lack of cooked breakfast choices we would definitely have booked no breakfast for a reduced nightly rate.
- Kate (10/5): A lovely one night stay. The room was nicely decorated and had a comfortable bed. It was very quiet. - Room, quietness, food,
- chris Burling (9/5): good stay as always . Will come again - As always very friendly staff and good food. The rooms have recently been upgraded and very nice. Super location near for travelling up and down the country . Near the M1 but very quiet Hot water in shower seemed warm rather than hot. Maybe we were just unlucky this time (we've stayed a few times and not had this issue before).
- Kelly (10/5): Amazing stay - Wonderful time at the falcon, lovely room, very comfortable and really enjoyed our stay Only thing, and I am really thinking hard, is that the room was freezing on arrival, might have been nice if someone turned heat on before we arrived, especially with the cold weather we had
- Crispin (6/5): -
- David (10/5): Warm welcome and great room and breaky - Good location, easy free parking. Warm welcome, very quiet area and room spacious and well equipped.
Breakfast was excellent as are the staff Nothing was wrong
- Elizabeth (8/5): Perfect for our short stay. Lovely, friendly staff, nice room and great foods. - Lovely comfortable room, great food. The breakfast was delicious and generous.
The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Nothing
- Sangeeta (7/5): Great location friendly staff - Convenient location for a Wembley visit and very friendly stuff Room did have a stagnant smoke smell and could do with a new carpet. But it’s an old property and it served a purpose
- Helen (10/5): -
- williams (7/5): - Room
Was nice The breakfast was sat for about 10 minutes before we got it also got a pot of tea that was luke warm
- Gaenor (9/5): Will visit again if needing to visit the area. Lovely menu and breakfast! - Good location and ambiance Didn’t understand how to use the coffee machine in room. Went to the shop to buy instant coffee
- Stephen (10/5): - Nice size room (no. 2), excellent modern bathroom. Good breakfast. A very clean, and tastefully decorated establisment with attenetive and friendly staff.
- Joanne (9/5): Very relaxing and quiet - Beautiful location, lovely pub and friendly staff
- Julia (4/5): Punching below its weight. Could do better. - Great location and beautifully decorated. Very comfortable bed. Only one seat in room for two people. Insufficient space for clothes. Very slow service - waited an hour and a quarter for breakfast. Expensive for a below average experience. Wouldn’t return.
- David (10/5): Excellent hotel which is very good value with lovely staff. - Excellent service, very clean the room exceeded our expectations. It is in a quiet location. TV was tricky to use. Maybe less channels and just straight forward options would have been better.
- Joanne (10/5): - The food was exceptional relaxing nothing too much trouble even though busy staff had time for requests & very friendly Unfortunately the people in the room above with 2 dogs noisy not hotels fault maybe keep guest s separate
- M (8/5): -
- Rachel (10/5): We loved our stay here and hope to come back soon. - Very comfy room, perfect for our stay. Amazing breakfast and super friendly staff who made sure we had everything we needed.
- Leroy (9/5): -
- Graham (9/5): Stayed twice an will be staying again. This is a very nice place for food, drinks and stay. - Good location for access to Loughborough, great food, friendly staff, plenty of parking and a lovely room. Good tv system that allows you to use all your normal accounts without fear of others using your account if you don't delete your details. Good selection of drinks in the bar. Really nice breakfast options. This is a very nice place. My door to my room wouldn't allow me to shut it quietly. This was only a consideration on my part for others staying..
- Nick (10/5): You feel at home : ) - Friendly, welcoming staff, really comfortable room - amazing food. …couldn’t decide what I wanted for breakfast…
- Nigel (10/5): Third or fourth time we have stayed at this very welcoming and well-run pub when we have come up to see our son at Lough - Lovely refurbished room which had plenty of space and a beautiful huge rolltop bath and a great rainfall shower. Nothing
- David (9/5): Good place to stay for the airport and great food. - Well laid out and organised.
- Liz (9/5): Great hosts and food was amazing. Comfortable property in a nice village. - Property was clean, nice sized en-suite, lovely building.
Food was amazing 10/10. The breakfast was fresh and the full English was very filling. Staff were great, very welcoming, friendly and ensured our stay was comfortable. Coffee and biscuits in the room and room freshen up and condiments replenished. Low door way into en-suite, room on the small side, room was cold on arrival no heating on , soon warmed up when heated.
- samantha (10/5): -
- Emma (10/5): - Fantastic hosts, facilities, location, nearby secure dog field, everything 👏 Fantastic and highly recommend!
