- IGOR (6/5): - The owner accept only cash and she did not say it in advance! I arrived in hotel very tired and had to take taxi again and went to bancomat. It is possibble to use credit card anywhere in Costa Rica but not in this strange hotel. Also the owner is anixious and not friendly. So I do not recommend this hotel

She expressed to me that they are having issues with their water system. Hot water should be a standard. Also, not all the rooms have air conditioning. So make sure to ask before booking.

After our arrival in the evening, we stepped next door, purchased a beer and snacks, and walked thru the neighborhood, and found a great bench to sit and enjoy the evening. We slept in comfort with the window open - very cool breeze!

The room was comfortable and clean and the area is safe. You do hear planes when they fly over, but that is to be expected when you stay near the airport.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - I stayed at this B&B for a few hours while waiting for a midnight flight, and overall, it met my needs. The location is excellent—only five minutes from the airport, in a safe, secure gated community, which provided peace of mind for a quick stopover. The room was clean and had the basics for a short stay, so it served its purpose well. The main issue was the lack of transparency about payment. It’s a cash-only property, but I only discovered this upon my arrival, as it was buried in the policy section of the listing. I would’ve appreciated a clearer notification upfront, perhaps on the checkout page or through a direct message. Upon arrival the owner mentioned that he had sent me several messages, but they didn’t reach my email inbox until hours after I had already checked in and some came in the following day. This could have been a hotels.com issue, so I’d suggest using WhatsApp for real-time communication in the future. There were also a lot of rules, which made the atmosphere feel a bit rigid. For example, not being allowed to eat in the room. Overall, though, for the price and the short stay, it was fine. Just a bit more clarity on the policies and a warmer reception would make a big difference!

They were accommodating, flexible and communication was so easy. After a long day of travel from Caribe, I had a comfortable, clean place around wonderful people - and a beautiful hot shower, too. It was great that the airport was only a 10 minute drive away, too - no stress! The grounds are very nice - it feels like an oasis. Terida will be our regular stop in our visits to amazing Costa Rica. Pura Vida and thank you!

Important note: I almost canceled because their listing shows a check-in at 4:30. It's actually 3:00. This property is in a sweet and private gated neighborhood. I missed the not-so-obvious driveway (situated between two road front buildings) the first time but it's difficult to navigate and drive by yourself. Adriana met me out front. An appealing feature is the lack of stairs so it will be easy for anyone with mobility concerns or obnoxious bags. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The bathroom is a generous size with a great shower The a/c and fan both worked very well. I appreciate small things such as the long shelf great for laying out your stuff, the table with 2 chairs and the conveniently placed electric outlets. So happy not to have to crawl under furniture or behind the bed! Being in the flight path, I was worried about possible noise but I was pleasantly surprised that their soundproofing does a good job inside the room. Plus, only a couple of planes passed over and nothing during the night. I also heard nothing from other rooms. I got a lovely night of sleep. I usually spend the night before an early flight back to the States and will definitely stay here again. Leaving at appallingly early hours is easy and nobody gets disturbed. - sharon (8/5): - This is a perfect property for travelers needing access to the San Jose Airport and many car rental companies. The property is gated, with street parking in front of the facility. The open kitchen allows guest access to use of fridge, microwave, coffee and water and eating area. Rooms are spacious, beds comfortable with spacious bathrooms. No AC but ceiling fan in room. Note that this is a CASH only facility which caught me by surprise. The host was also gracious to allow us to drop luggage early before the 3 pm check in.

For the price this is well worth the overnight for airport. In fairness I was only there for a few hours to navigate bag packing and get a couple hours of sleep. The courtyard is very clean, Con: The walls are thin so hear everything, Found a couple little bugs sneaking around but most people would not have noticed so not a major con. Big Con: my room had zero hot water for the shower so my preflight shower was iceman training. Overall rate was great and owner was friendly and willing to do a bit over and above... Worth the stay even with the cold shower

Was quiet, only occasional plane going overhead, but Im a light sleeper and it really didnt bother me, (ear plugs provided). the grounds are very nice ,must be old old picture because its nicely decked with plants trees etc and a very comfortable surounding. I was able to walk from airport ,20-25 minutes and thats was with also waiting for traffic to thin enough to safely run across through way. For sure, next time im in San hose I will make a point to stay here VERY VERY PLEASED

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Perfect stopover before an early-morning flight. Very close to Adobe rent-a-car airport office, which made the car drop-off nicely convenient. Property can call an airport taxi for your early-morning departure, which was also nice.
